There stand two cedars among the oaks
Wishing the light would find them
For if they reach the rays above
The oaks will cease to bind them

Beside the valley of Robinwood
Where pines are standing guard
Their woven beds of browning needles
Keeps softwood away from the hard

A winding range of trees and hills
Where Osage warriors sleep
Next to them there ... the locust grows
With thorns to always keep

I rather like this, and I' also not a "nature" fan when it comes to poetry, but this poem certainly had a palpable substance to it, and a deep-rooted emotion (pardon the pun lol). Kudos! :)

You sure do have so many new writes, way to go for you! I definitely remember the first stanza here, and you continued it well with beautiful descriptions-- a scenery that is in a way intriguing and haunting. I hope you don't mind me pointing out a typo here for "stands" in your 1st line-- I honestly think that your first stanza can stand on its own wonderfully, just me I think...reading the next 2 stanzas sort gave me a different story to think of, very cool.
