My Good Old Sticker

Stickers with pictures so fair
On childhood adhere.
Stickers of pleasure,
Fade as childhood fade.
Being spotted my good old sticker
With red rose in a drawer,
Reborn the lost love for sticker.
A warm gift, secretly presented:
Nothing else I had got, and she had possessed.
Though my sticker
Is faded and fragile,
Never to burn it I decided ;
Busy with someone somewhere ;
To burn, sweet, but in vain.

    Hi Fabiyas. This was great. i have just got rid of a chest that belonged to my 33yr old daughter. Inside it was full of stickers and I felt guilty about getting rid. Little things, memories come back. how well you conveyed this in your well crafted words. Thanks for the kind comment, Eamon

    Hang on to that sticker, Fabiyas. It obviously brings back some sweet memories, though thinking of a love who leaves you only with this reminder is very touching. You can't burn memories, my friend. Love and blessings, Carolyn
