Speedo: "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" Parody

*For Deborah Guzzi Summertime, Summertime, SUM, SUM, Summertime! Contest

Bop bop bop bop bopopopopopopop

He was so proud to emerge from the change room.
He was as puffed up as he could be.
He was so proud to emerge from the change room,
He couldn't wait for the ladies to see.

Two three four tell the people what he bore

It was a skimpy-wimpy, micro-scopic, day-glow yellow, oh so phallic speedo
That he wore for the nth time today.
A skimpy-wimpy, micro-scopic, day-glow yellow, oh so phallic speedo
In which his man-kit would be on display.

Two three four stick around we'll show you more

Bop bop bop bop bopopopopopopop

He was so proud that he banished the blanket
And these sheerest of sheer satin briefs...
He was so proud that he banished the blanket
They barely constrained his massifs

Two three four tell the people what he bore

It was a skimpy-wimpy, micro-scopic, day-glow yellow, oh so phallic speedo
That he wore for the nth time today.
A skimpy-wimpy, micro-scopic, day-glow yellow, oh so phallic speedo
In which his grandeur would be on display.

Two three four stick around we'll tell you more

Bop bop bop bop bopopopopopopop

Now he's so proud to come out of the water
And there's no doubt what he's gonna do
Now he's so proud to come out of the water
He'll stand upright -- a virile statue.

Two thee four tell the people what he bore

It was a skimpy-wimpy, micro-scopic, day-glow yellow, oh so phallic speedo
That he wore for the nth time today.
A skimpy-wimpy, micro-scopic, day-glow yellow, oh so phallic speedo
In which his machismo would be on display.

From the change room to the blanket
From the blanket to the shore
From the shore to the water
Guess he's prouder than before.

I could just imagine Brian Hyland singing this one! Great imagination rendered in this offering. No wonder it was chosen as a winner.

I think you did GREAT with this one, Scott. I just loved that song when I heard it on the oldies station as a teen. I miss those old radio days, and you did the song justice with your male version parody! Luv, Andrea

Scott, this parody is absolutely brilliant and hilarious, all wrapped up into one! Uggh, that skimpy-wimpym micro-scopic, day-glow yellow, oh so phallic speedo, sounds terrifying right now! Ha ha! This is great. Best wishes towards the contest!~Chris

Oh, Scott, you had me roaring throughout the whole poem. I was singing along and it fits perfectly to the melody, too. I tried the same song with entirely different results. Yours is hysterically funny! Deborah will love it. Love, Carolyn
