Rainbows

I'm forever chasing rainbows
pretty rainbows in the air
they're so high way up in the sky
they are but my dreams
which all fade and die
altho' fortune's hiding
I'm dreaming dreams
I've looked everywhere
building castles scheming schemes
tho' born anew their days are few
and yet as the daylight's dawning
like a sweet butterfly
they return in the morning
there's one at the end or

Boyhood Dreams

A wellspring of 
	Eternal joy
Unfolds within
	A little boy
He schemes and 
	Dreams in
		Fantasies
Things no man
	Could ever be
But somewhere in
	His youthful eye
The boy must know
	The man will die

We'll Never Know

Where's it told what tomorrow brings
who's in control pulling the strings
it goes to show
we'll never know
who's to say what's around the bend
down the road or at day's end
we'll never know
and so it goes
what's in store for wrong or right
in bright moonlight or on the other side of night
we can wish altho'

tho' we've been

Highbrow Schemes

Bow to payment on a platter,
now that karma is paid in full;
Ciao, so it was cool to do it? 
Highbrow schemes are vulnerable;

Overcome can hinder the mind,
numb the frustration will grow;
Dumb stirs fire so carelessly;
Wisdom? Do not dip your toe.

Wind blows / clouds race / vast blue sky
Breeze tugs / trees sway / great green hills
Sun scourged / sand glares / small white beach
Skip stones / thoughts nag / mind fug stills

Seeds sprout / stems firm / youth glean part
New buds / core splayed / new growth hearth

Neither Eve nor the Virgin Mary
Were born white like an Irish Faerie
Yet men hope and pray

There's good and evil in everyone
Don't be fooled, all of us bar none
Some hide it well
Conniving as hell
But try to be nice if they're pointing a gun

She rode home on a packed train
 at the peak of rush hour
 She longed for those still, silent moments
 Where she could unwind
 From the hustle and bustle of the day

 She found solace in celestial fireflies
 And the night's  dark embrace
 A  quiet  retreat from the stress of the day

Stand Fast Against the Devil's Schemes

There's an arch enemy in our midst
who prowl's about like a roaring lion
seeking whoever he can catch out
from the beginning he's always been lying

This is our battle day and night
fighting this enemy we need God's aid
for the Lord defeated him on the cross
there His sacrifice overcame by what Jesus paid

Drama of Trauma

on this wonderful earth
from our birth to the death
unfortunately,
we are travelling with worthless faith on the path,
we are moving quite crazy by being lazy,
omitting the truth,
that is hiding beneath our breath
changing wonders to squanders,
going and glowing without actual growing
with a sound war between the health and the wealth
struggling for happiness
searching the sign and rhyme of

The Wide Bowl

This bowl is no longer mine,

was never so,  

Let it go. 

well worn before the oath,

A gift that despised the guardian, 

Presented freely without a dowry in May.

Some things in life are guarded from the start and sealed
They are so well secured,  protected,  and hard to steal.
There's a great sense of safety and a very comfortable feel.
The contents are highly treasured; nothing gets in or out.
The best of thieves change their plans and take another route.

I might not be accurate, precise, exact, and truthful,
