Stand Fast Against the Devil's Schemes

There's an arch enemy in our midst
who prowl's about like a roaring lion
seeking whoever he can catch out
from the beginning he's always been lying

This is our battle day and night
fighting this enemy we need God's aid
for the Lord defeated him on the cross
there His sacrifice overcame by what Jesus paid

The devil knows our every weakness
exactly where he can find us out
he showed this in the garden with Eve
so beware of Satan he'll make you doubt

Satan always thinks to attack you
for because you're valuable to God
so he hates God likewise His children
combat him by the power of God's sword

Stand fast against the devil's schemes
speak out the divine word supreme
it's your weapon to fight him off
God's got you swimming in His stream
