A hug I never received

I know a woman 
who had lost her love
but had a small version
to cherish and enjoy...
Her life was never easy,
and her heart had never felt safe,
yet she cared, 
gave herself to the job
and the only tiny person
she loved and lived for...
Her son grew and
from the nest, he flew,
and she continued 
to love and live
for him,

Yes, we changed, for we gave too much and received nothing in return

Yes, we changed, for we gave too much and received nothing in return,
Seeking to comfort others, yet no one asked if we were okay,
We stayed up late to console souls but cried ourselves to sleep alone,
We changed when we realized that effort is not love, and people take as much as we give.

Beyond the beauty before me

I’m not one to embrace and then take for granted -
         life,

When Will Florida Address The Fact That Some Prisoners Never Received Fair Trials

In courts where lies weave their tails,
And justice seems a distant dream,
There lies the fate of souls confined,
By trials flawed and justice blind.

Florida, hear their muted cries,
Beneath the endless, azure skies,
Restore the truth, make wrongs undone,
Illuminate their moonless sun.

A second glance, a careful eye,
To see what justice might belie,
Review each case with earnest heart,
For fairness

Being Not Received at Reception Desk

I am thrilled to only see two people ahead of me at medical clinic
No one is at reception’s desk
I know the routine
so I fill out the forms while I wait
No one comes.
I have been here four minutes
I ask one of the others “was anyone here?”

sealed with serene hope
joyously reached my soul
when I did receive by faith
the Saviour Whose sacrifice paid
to free me from sin-condemnation
midst assured life everlasting in Him.

On Christmas and Easter we like to remember

To the ocean banks

To Her I Gave Everything and Received Nothing

I gifted her my vision,
i offered my word
gifted neus feet
and my hands,
i gifted my love,
all offered for free,
but she offered nothing of her...
All received and not thanked
and left,
sans goodbye... !

I Received a Ticket

I received a ticket to the land of never happened,
not knowing how to find its non-end
I flew until  landed on an eyelid,
- you were standing still,

then I thought,

to be able to stand face to face,
let”s carve the gate of the kissless,

we flow into them like a river of milk,
