Mistaken Poems

Mistaken Identity

We judge in others
what we secretly fear within ourselves,
the mirror of hypocrisy polished daily
until it blinds our reason.

I have walked England’s most expensive street,
and as a Black man,
I was clothed in poverty not of my making—
criminal, beggar, illegal—
an identity sewn into me by design,
to dehumanize for the comfort of others,
a madness normalized as truth.

When I

Mistaken Identity

Some crooks are dumb as they come,
these thieves should get what they deserve
as they won't go so very far
now they're done taking a ride
in the stolen Police car...
with, 'To Protect & Serve
Dial 911,' printed on the side.

When the judge asked them, 'Why?'
and stressed, 'It's best if you confessed.'
The wiseguys both admitted,
while facing five to seven,
(have

I stare above into the blue.
I've always believed in you,
that one day you would find me -
and here you are, come down from high...
not me, you say - I'm the wrong guy?
Guardian angel, fly on by.

Premium MemberThe tip of the iceberg

I went to see the wounded boy in the hospital bed
He knew not who had shot him nor why they wished him dead.
His cousins sat nearby; I asked them for a clue
They proceeded to tell me all they knew.

"He flew in from Spain, wanted to go to MIT.
First, he seemed

Closure

As the business's closure loomed in the distance,
Anxiety gripped me tightly, a relentless insistence.
Late-night thoughts birthed migraines, a sleepless affair,
The shop had been more than a store; it was friendships we'd share.

Evenings converged, weekends embraced at the store's cozy nook,
I couldn't fathom it all disappearing with a single closing book.
But for a moment, a glimmer

Premium MemberMistaken For Laughter

Covered by the dark demise of runaway laughter,
I find myself lost in a chaotic chapter.
How cloyed it is to be consumed by rage,
As emotions swirl and violently engage.

Most savage-such than our gentle origins,
Anger grips me tight, its grip tightens.
I crave solace, for a moment of peace.
But in this storm, my anger does not cease.

I am

Mistaken Identity

Mistaken identity is actually SUPARI killing..
Main question is Who hired Zafar Supari killer??
How come a threatened journalist got pushed towards Africa??
He would have known how dangerous Kenya could be,,
Because even ordinary people wouldn't chose Africa if they
are running for life. It's a recipe that was cooked long before.
This hit was planned by Underworld Don

Gravely Mistaken

There was a man that lived they said
his whole life in grief and dread

A fool who did but once entwine
in his arms a maiden fine

Love for those in stories told
of how this legend would unfold

This lass on many a night
did leave her husband’s loving sight

To a cottage in the town
she would sneak without a sound

Inside

Confuse a worm with a snake
  Your life it may take

Confuse a snake with a worm
  Your bowels just might squirm

Mistake a rat for a mouse
  Say goodbye to your spouse

It is almost midnight
The mist blankets the beach
I feel a chill coming from inside
My heart is pounding
The throbbing in my ears drowns
out the sound of rushing waves
I know someone or something
is watching me
I clutch my chest, hoping the
tightness will lighten my fear.
I hear heavy breathing
I brace myself for the unknown
I force myself to turn
Starring back

Premium MemberMistaken Identity

I went to the DMV office the other day
For, I received an urgent notice of traffic violation
That came promptly to me as a text message
For me to take immediate resolution action.

I was told there again about repeated offence
And the amount of money I had to pay as fine
Being a very careful driver I expressed

3. Thank you all for concerns about my day

Mistaken Memories

It is like the world is colluding.

To erase the memories that once wandered free.

I sometimes plan to go back.

And feel the scars forming all over again- as if being attacked.

Because the scarring memories are worse than the emotional pain.

Trying to prevent future guilt was all in vain.

If only I

Wishful Watching

Voluptuous, soft curves, peek-a-boo with fine silk, “Come hither,” I hear.
An old woman observed me as undignified ilk, “It’s only a mannequin, dear.”
