Best Avoided Poems

Losses Best Avoided
Some losses can be sustained ,
And written off as collateral damage,
So we can live to fight another day,
And Love can still flourish without them.

Other losses can not be written off so lightly,
And our only hope is to regain what we lost,
If we want peace of mind and the ability to Love again.

The loss of...

Premium Member Sin Avoided That Obedience Is Perfected- Charles Haddon Spurgeon
Here we have in this 119th Psalm
the psalmist speaks of avoiding sin
so that reality knows obedience fully
when the living word is meditated in

Be careful to avoid every sin filled trap
having reverence for God's holy word
achieves for believers a deep respect
any other view is totally absurd

If our works are not holy
our obedience can never be likewise
so...

Ode To Tina
It is a tale of love
concerning an event
of a story once
upon a time beholden
nature as it is
couldn't resist such a mystery
the forests, rivers moon and mountains
were resonating to consternations
of which site once upon found
if it were a golden search
the world would have been reporting
a narration may be concerning her own
ah! life were seeming to...

Responsibilities Are Avoided
Responsibilities Are Avoided

Of many fact, we may lose site
What you should do is to write
About items we are not aware
But for must be sure to care.

Supreme Court Appointment comes to mind
Process to go through so we can find
A person with appellate background
And around axle will never get wound.

Sets example to follow start to seek
Who day...

Void Is To Be Avoided
Void is to be avoided

Evaporating from the presence
glancing at the future ones
all the while
being sucked into those clumsy,
past moments of blessed intrusions
and your sleazy, dark serenades.
Lost in mosaic of bursts into laughter times
Consumed in sharing yourself,
in the dripping infusion caprice intakes
that you hang on to,
All the while being devoured by a voice
calling you,
stripped out of...

The Avoided Day
This is not just another day
The clouds above all seem gray
None of us know what to say
My mind needs to stay focused and not go a stray
I remember the days we used to play
It is the Life we need to portray
Or is this final come what may
I want to be selfish and make her stay
I...

Racial Slur Avoided
"Do not incur
     a racial slur!"
     Hearing this I laughed
     And started on that path.

     Big things started moving.
     The Pontiff's wife was swooning. . .
     I stood before the...

A Danger Forseen Is Half Avoided
Prior to the twenty fifteen election
I was in a total objection
As I got engaged in a war of words
With an elder who saw only the outwards

Though agreed that this party will win
I said their manifestos are just too green
And with the empathy that their faces flare
I said they'll grin on the masses with cruel...

Premium Member I Should Have Avoided the Candy
I should have avoided the candy
while it was conveniently handy.
If I had the power to abstain,
I would not be experiencing this pain.
I have a toothache while I live.
Seeing the dentist is the only alternative.

Inspired by another member's poem....

Premium Member A Plaster
Yesterday I used a plaster
For a small cut
Now I use a plaster
For light muscle pains
Suddenly I feel that I want to use a plaster
For an ugly scar
That cannot be erased
Or fade easily
And tomorrow maybe I'll use a plaster
For sorrow and grief
Maybe a plaster from the Almighty God
Maybe a magical plaster of love...

Whom Friendship Should Be Avoided With
Once I was lost in the world confusion
And could not decide the right direction
Should I stay put or make a call and go
And prepare a list of friends who act like a foe
First I met with a miser as friend in dire need
He gave but pretension and quickly he fled
Next with whom I made friendship...

When we avoided eye contact
When he didn't step on my bag,
(What he never did),
When he let me first finish,
(What he always did)
And when he helped me,
(What he always did),
why do I have the feeling I for the first time pay attention to it,
and try to remember it,
why do these actions of him,
Not seem...

Premium Member Avoided Embrace
Always avoided, ignored and pushed to the side,
My heart once full, now empty inside.
The world moves on, but I am left behind,
A life unloved, my dreams confined.

Friends come and go, but I remain,
An outsider looking in, enduring the pain.
I long to belong, to be a part,
But every effort seems to fall apart.

The fear of rejection...
