Befriending silence
To attain quietude,
first things first, thoughts must cease,
that thus, free from desire,
wayward ego’s consigned
to the funeral fire.
To attain quietude,
nonchalant to outcomes,
present in the moment,
staid stillness invokes grace;
bliss magnetism potent.
To attain quietude,
round the clock, all the time,
our choice of cessation,
epitomises our
soul’s orientation.
To attain quietude,
shifting from head to heart,
truth search prioritised,
be assured oh hermit,
God will be

Befriending silence
If the magic of the now eludes us,
it signals we are as yet fast asleep
and caught in a mind trap, dark fears nonplus,
deadening our sentience to love's bliss beep.
Ignorance borne of stupor is our sin,
whose roots lie in attachment to this form,
so to exit trance, the way to begin,
is

Befriending the Beast
Jabberwock, oh jabberwock, how misunderstood you are
Fierce men come by to steal your head, but only leave a scar.
you yearn not for blood, but love I think,
a scratch beneath your chin.
But when men arrive with swords
you fight them on a whim.
Ignorant they are, dear wocky, scaly beast,
can't blame you now, my jabby friend, for making

Befriending Complacency
Befriending Complacency
I’ve never been so happy to get snapped
back into reality by the Lord.
I’ve been taking His blessings for granted
and befriending complacency for
far too long.
I’ve been letting my gifts pass me by,
overly entangled in the affairs of
this life.
So today I turn up the intensity
I crank it up a notch
Today, I seize the gifts that are

Overcoming Modern Troubles Need a Single Tackle of Befriending
You hate me a lot
Yet I do respect and love
You like, love or not
I have not learnt how to hate
Befriending I have only learnt.

Befriending Fear
To release me from hellish nights
let's talk now, Fear...
I leave, yet your shadow follows me;
a darkened grime blowing on my mind
like an uninvited guest from a demonic realm.
The macabre of nights holds no clues
but reflects my image through you:
Realizing this now I oppose
those vicious whispers,
and embed them in the dirge of sand:
When confronted

Befriending Despondency
I thought you were gonna accept me for who I am and who I am to
become
But, you abandoned me…now I’m a lost lamb…feeling numb and dumb
Sadistically, you glared at me with fire in your eyes…I look at the Lord of
the Flies
Straight in the eye…my heart pounding in my chest violently & desperately
You shot

Befriending Stars
I wanna befriend the shooting stars
They will take me on a roller coaster
Through the galaxy
Where I will dance with the moon
And let him sing me lullabies
Letting go with sweet bliss
I wanna sing along with the commits
As they sing a song of triumph and joy
I wanna listen to

Befriending the Moon
I wish i could befriend you oh moon
But i find you not in the sky at noon
Even in the morning when the sparrows croon
I found out that you have gone so soon
Tell me where i can found you all day
Tell me your secret abode i pray
That whenever i think i ought to play
I can always
