The roots

the substratum of existence is God
unseen and yet always in the background
so knowing that our perception is flawed 
refusing to be in illusions drowned
in vibrant stillness, peace in heart is found
the roots of our being are in heaven
to which we get to through chakras seven

Zen mode

from within we touch not the walls of form
as formless presence we just rest in space 
swirling energies beg us to conform 
so our mantra is release each embrace
since egos manifest conceal God’s face
at times we too swim but do not get wet
that we’re light of Self, we do not forget

Fallen Angel

The first day,
God borrowed a little light from the sun
He promised to return it
But He forgot Himself  'cause it looked too good in your eyes

The second day,
He stole the greatest holiness from all the Saints' spirit 
And in the middle of the night,
He tucked it into your soul, so silently that you couldn't hear

County Road 43

the road became a tree-lined tunnel—flickers of
crepuscular rays try to play tag with the squirrels 
as they stutter-dash across the shafts of you’re-it!
a free for all, until the road-tires butt-in—
flattening all the rules on a tire-treaded squirrel.
