I’ve bloomed well past blossom season, no fleshy pink 
petals here. Wrinkles appear now. Feet left by crow. You 
see the grey in the brown, see a patch of scalp showing.
You see the change in my gait, see my once brisk pace 
slowing. But what you don’t see is me: I am no longer 
desirable,

A crowded street has many ways
Some go to a dark dark place
You see it's greying eye of gravel
Other paths necessitate a shovel

Then theres your own 
The sum of stones you've thrown
It's the million dollar street
Marbled in a golden sheet

Birthright of gold I did expect
Only my own to be correct

In this guest room I only have this brown king-size blanket
To comfort me while I am also cloaking my movements
As I am dancing, listening to my headphones as I crank it.

lamplight
shall
go with us
upon
the
time travel journey
that
glimmer of hope
thus
we
shall
take the lamplight
into
ancient dark caves of mankind
between
the 
cracks and cliffs of time
through the narrow 
twists and turns
to shed some 
philosophical light 
somewhere
upon
the
hopes and dreams of mankind

I slip beyond the lamplight that dims
As Christmas darkens in this ending year,
To wait for the sunlight slipping behind the blue moon 
To hide and wait for you.

The Christmas morn hangs its gifts that glisten
While children scamper in their drifting dreams.
You run to my ever waiting side,
Where I long to cuddle you.

Lamplight moon sits watching me;
watching her,
through my telescope.
Sister Moon floats 
in centrifugal dance,

becoming dizzy.  
When she tires, 
brother Sun will dance In her place,

Beneath the Evening Lamplight

Beneath the evening lamplight, I sit on nature's floor
Entreating those emerging from their crystal paneled doors,
To ask a single farthing, or penny they might give,
And grant this humble beggar, a means where I might live.
And as they come and go each night they disdain to notice me,
For beneath the evening lamplight, my cup is all

Lamplight

As daylight ends and darkness falls
a wick is lit on table or wall
Touched by match, soot does rise
as comes to life the dancing prize
Lamp oil rendered from beast of sea
now burns slowly, the aroma sweet
Prompted by pulsing yellow flame,
the globe shines bright, dimness wanes
Light to read and write is shed,
the lamp will glow till forced
