A Branch of Knowledge

In THE DREAM OF THE POET or, THE KISS OF THE MUSE, 1859-60 by Paul Cézanne, the lips of an angel caress a lackadaisical writer of poems deep in intellectual depth.  The heavenly being is the source of the poet’s artistic inspiration.  Spiritual matters often influence creative thinking and inventive works.  I marvel at the special influence of a divinity on the mind of any person who pens that particular poetic theme passionately.  It is not considered an easy write by many authors of poetry

This is an everybody thank you meant for the PoetrySoupers who critique and read the blogs, comments, and poetry written by me.  I appreciate your encouragement and interest, it’s helping me become the best writer I can be, and for that I am much obliged.  Have a peaceful, creative day filled with blessings!  _Caryl

Inspiration comes in different forms. Spiritual inspiration seems to inspire the stuggling person moreso than the successful one. As humans, I guess we look for more guidance when we feel lost than when we feel self assured, one of or many weaknesses. God Bless. Vince

Hi Caryl, I love this picture. It is very real and true to me. I have written many poems that I know were penned with the guidance of my muse. Thank you for your very kind and encouraging comments on my free verse poem 'The Birth of a Novel'. Wishing you a day full of joy. Lainie
