Princess Kate


There is a beautiful princess

who lives in a castle

She dances all the day long

dressed in her beautiful gowns

Spreading joy everywhere she goes

with so much kindness in her heart

So many lives she has touched

that will never be the same

She's the most precious princess

that you will ever meet

Princess Kate we all love you so much



Kate Thornton, the five year old little girl that I wrote about in my poem "My Three Wishes" is now a princess in heaven.  She went home to be with her Jesus this morning.  She battled leukemia fierecly and courageuosly for almost two years.  Kate, Precious One, you will be missed.

What a wonderful memorial for little Kate..It reads as if she was so special to you and others..Glad that I learned of her through reading this...Thanks for your support in reading my work and thanks for the promise of your thoughts and prayers..I can feel in my body when each person prays ..I feel a few seconds of pain relief and strenghting..Sara

The death of a child is so difficult to understand. There are angels. Sometimes I wonder if they are the children who died much too young. God Bless. Vince

How sad to see a five year old die, Jerri. And she suffered treatment for two whole years. Your poem is so moving. I'm sorry for your loss. God bless you, Carolyn
