Breathe

He should desire a verse of lost day past
while time enough was free to have enough,
When pace and life led more to mean but fast
as Simon said to simply breathe a puff.

To love and be less reckless with his heart,
Speak not of sin nor breach of true love’s spring,
Complete the bond not pressed akin to part
as forced to split amoebas’ kiss must sting.

He must observe his one true Master plot,
His growth less err forgone fulfills defense,
An age to find a soulmate’s breath he sought,
Their fit from Simon’s game of simple sense.

The dream of love begins with one shared breath,
The test of love whilst joined hearts beat ‘til death.

I Hate To Admit It

~ Inspired by the likes of Hoplessly Devoted to You ~

The reflection of your beauty are shadows on the wall,
The abstract of your spirit is still standing in the hall,
I know I am a victim of this ghostly fantasy,
I hate to admit it, but your love is haunting me.

I hate to admit it, but you appear wherever I go,
I can't fight the feeling as the magic begins to grow,
The thrill of believing brings a scary urgency,
I hate to admit it, but your love is haunting me.

As I lie here not sleeping somewhere deep in the night,
Your whisper of desire brings a passion of fright,
I can't go on believing as the spirits above agree,
I hate to admit it, but your love is haunting me.

I hate to admit it, but life is running late,
What love has to offer will die throughout the wait,
I must find a way to break this broken heart free,
I hate to admit it, but your love is haunting me.

A Whisper In the Wind

A whisper in the wind is all that remains after you left me behind,
I find you lost in a memory never to be relived.

I don't know why you never said goodbye or why you had to leave,
A kindred spirit broken in a world confused and disillusioned by being alone.

Nobody should lose a parent - a mom.

You disappeared so quickly and quietly - like a whisper in the wind,
Now I am locked out of knowing - knowing so little and so unaware of so much.

Only a mom helps a son through times when pure love is her only motivation.

Mom, you taught me to love, to care and to believe,
You brought life into my lungs and shared precious blood to my heart.

I am selfish to wish you were here to help through times when I need you.

I am taught by this mortal world that your new home is much better than mine.

Some say we will reunite someday,
But for now - my only solace is to listen closely - for a whisper in the wind.

Jesus Said

The blessings we share,
The reasons we care,
Are praises that He spread.

The life that we live,
The gifts that we give,
Are glories to His stead.

The story is told,
What a rugged road,
The cross from which He pled.

He shared the good news,
His words are the clues,
For reasons that He bled.

Open your heart,
Let this be the start,
To hear what Jesus said -

I will cry for you,
As I die for you,
I will rise for you,
To leave you hope.

All I ask of you,
Hold Me close to you,
I will save you ....

That's what Jesus said.

Hold Back

I don't want to lose you,
We vowed this life is ours to share,
If these words are really true,
We could have a perfect love affair.

You said you really want me,
Yet you're letting us fall apart,
Am I too blind to see,
If only I had known from the start.

All you do is hold back,
Hold back the fever,
All you do is make me feel,
Like there is nothing real,
In you heart.

All you do is hold back,
Hold back the hunger,
You are making me cry,
I don't know why,
You hold back.

Hold back your love ...

Hold back

Landscape - the Shore

Oh mighty wind you taunt, neigh awaken
while you boldly ride the vibrant surf
beyond massive strikes upon the shore.

A breath which is sweet, so soothing
after each rudimentary crash of the tide
announces your arrival to the shore.

I feel you consider your entrance, a calling
entangled with each approaching wave
as aimless clues of life beyond the shore.

I dare to question the purpose, your spirit
casting a heavenly sigh defined only by
Love's Eye who susurrates by the shore.

But duty suggests my leave, as always
I reach for one last tone as we yearn
and vow to meet again near the shore.

The Graduate

The names of success spoken slowly, enunciated with near perfection.
Begetters delighted while warriors of knowledge even prouder.

Frame the object with that pride, etched in bold colors of quested victory.
Intended to render focus where future awaits with her breath of betterment.

Render the mortar board square, keeping the gown smooth as the silk it resembles.
Shutterbugs will capture that smile of a thousand future memories.

A feastful celebration shared in public display, consuming all thoughts of ineptness.
Success is now official along with all cheers for you - the graduate.

That's Why I Love

Marked by love, heated by passion,
Lips in a tongue-tangled web,
I surrender the fight, my love-light bright,
With much delight, I'll take that bite ...

Lost and ecstatic, the peak grows near,
Here comes the sweetest part,
Taste buds flow, my love-light glow,
Temptations grow, the oats I sow ...

Succor the scars, while stains reflect,
Back to the tree of life,
Lush wine we pour, my love-light s'more,
Down to my core, I want you more ...

Marked by love, heated by passion,
Lips in a tongue-tangled web ...

That's why I love ....
