Relapse

Tiptoe into my room
and hide behind the curtain;
You wait to slither onto me
and be my demon.

You lurk in the shadows
waiting to pounce upon me;
You seek to capture my soul,
and you do so through my body.

Hallucination or reality,
you make it hard to comprehend;
you show me a starting line
on the dead end.

Tearing through my flesh
you bruise my bones;
clenching on my nerves,
you make my sanity moan.

Flowing through my veins,
you want to poison me;
suffocating my being,
with your invisible brutality.

Would you make me yours
and never let go;
Or would you destroy me
and throw me down the road?

Marks

Tattoos and whiskey
Cigarette marks on her skin
Footprints on sand.

Red

A cave hidden in the forest beyond
Crimson waters flow out,
The wolves seek out the source
Only to find her bleeding soul.

Slithering stream reflect her demons
Trapped inside the illusory web of sunshine,
Waiting to ravish her tonight
As the sky becomes moonless again.

Scarlet lips talk of the forbidden words
Staining the white garbs of hypocrisy,
Bloodshot eyes continue to fight
And mock the lies told truthfully.

Vermilion marks became the stars
Deafening howls quietened the silence,
An explosion consumed all that was,
And the night was red.

In the Twilight of Love

Beginning with the talks of ending,
They stumbled on the starting line;
Imploring her to stay, he wished it to be
A sweet memory than a regrettable night.

And the hours melted together into a black hole,
Sucking out her sanity;
Traversing between zones indefinite,
She couldn't differentiate memory from reality.

She wished to be black and white,
In a colourful world
Where she existed in greys;
And for him, grey itself was grey.

It was insane to let her go once,
He couldn't let it end again;
It wasn't loneliness he feared,
But causing a beloved's pain.

Asking her to trust the guy
She had walked with that night
Together they trudged along on a path unknown,
Hoping to live a liberated life.

They'll always be miserable at goodbyes,
No matter how many decisions they take;
In a world of drunken madness, of distant stars, and amber skies,
What sense does sense make?

Liberation

The light of the stars
engulfed the absurdities of life;
The gentle winds cradled me
and at me, the moon smiled.

The soul of the ocean
found refuge in my eyes,
insinuating chaotic pleasure
to the storm in my heart.

As the cool sand felt the heat
of my naked flesh and soul,
The moon clothed me with the light
he had borrowed from the Sun.

The spirit of the wild
danced with me,
To the rhythm of the
throbbing heart of nature.

The ghosts of the words you
spun together to entrap me,
have become my comrades,
running tirelessly through my veins.

For I have escaped and set myself free
from your insidious love masquerade;
And finally I am with my true love,
The Universe, infinite and eternal.

Time

Till the end of time he said,
As the snowstorm came
The clock stopped working.

The Blurry Line

A blurry line divides the road,
You want to cross, but you don't;
Skeptical of what lies ahead,
A wonderland or a dead end.

You wish to fly with your wings new-found,
Weights of dilemma pull you down;
You need to choose but you cannot decide,
You're lost amidst what-if, if only, and might.

Go ahead and dive into the sea,
Forget your fears and you'll be free;
You'll be the clouds and the rain,
And the dancing waves as the moon wanes.

There's magic in the wind if you'll believe,
The world's not always what you perceive;
The unsaid ciphers kiss your skin,
While the doubts bind your bones within.

Perhaps someday you will know,
Miracles happen if you just let go;
You'll be drenched with sparkling sunshine,
As you cross the blurry line.

Call of the Ocean

The ocean calls out to me tonight,
For it feels lonely.
And here I am feeling homesick again,
Nostalgia suffocates me as I taste the rain.

The blue in it is but my ink,
The depth in my eyes is but the sea.
The sea bed longs to feel my skin,
I yearn to scathe myself with the grains akin.

Starless skies are replete with fog,
Waves will draw constellations in my tresses tonight.
I'll come undone, with every tide,
Breathless and brazen, wanton and wild.

With remnants of moon on my chest,
I will hide in the nihility.
With the sun tomorrow, I shall rise,
But, the ocean calls out to me tonight.
