For years and years
I lived the curse of all women

A woman’s work is never done
That is, never finished
The more work I did the more work showed up
The To Do list was never ending
If I made a dent in it
You couldn’t tell
It was multiple pages and still
I refused to forget a single item

I used to work my To Do list and hope
For some opening somewhere somehow someday
Where I would be able to read, take a candlelit bath
Go for a leisurely walk, paint, write poetry
It never happened
My ever growing To Do list
Had stopped even giving me the glimmer of hope
I was just that crazy hamster busy at her wheel

Till one day
I was late with a painting I had promised
I was pushed to the wall I had no choice
I just had to focus on my craft and not think of anything else
I went at it and focused and focused
It wasn’t easy but I eventually got it done
It was an awesome feeling to finally sign my name
And say it was D-O-N-E
But my celebration was more to me
About having won over time

Time who had always been so elusive
So demanding so full of orders and ultimatums
Seeming so rigid and inflexible
All of a sudden I had decided
I would ignore it
Along with my long list of To Do’s
And surprisingly life went on…
Nothing drastic happened
Nothing fell apart
Nothing exploded
I was actually stunned to tell you the truth

I had once learned about
The differences between Important and Urgent
But my power over it never really sunk in until then
Now I have a new life
Where my Important priorities are in front of me
Where I can reach the one or the other
And the dishes get done but not till I decide to take a break
I do my best to add less to my To Do list
And most of all, pace myself instead of
Trying to kill myself racing through it all

It may seem to you like a small paradigm shift
But to me, my life is turned inside out for the better

Parallel Paradigm

What flickers of kindred spirit shone through,
To illuminate the caves of my mind?
What common tortures was I sure I’d find?
Which were the words that echoed such a clue,
That my dark demons were the same you knew?
Does fate hold purpose for these ties that bind?
I know that you help these nightmares unwind,
And that greater strength is forged between two.

Know that I have always loved you dearly,
That our two hearts share the same cuts and scars.
Our words give away more than we intend,
Though, I doubt I state those last words clearly.
We may try to hide behind locks and bars,
But reveal our soul to our truest friend ~

so, the chicken
 came first
with an inventive burst

no wonder it can't happen backwards
the law of physics would surrender

the concept as beautiful as new weather
and fluffy tufted pink flamingo feathers

time and space travels only forward
no reason though, not to travel backwards

yet, God gives us a pink paradise
like pink roses he is so concise!

Pinks calm caring hues
a look on world views

Paradigm Shift

PARADIGM SHIFT.

Here is my version of a paradigm shift,
Socratic questions if you get my drift!
Why did God make the Universe elliptical?
To make an Aussie football, not spherical!
Why did God make football? See here,
To make men miserable, my dears!
Why did God make beer?
To make men happy, my dears!
So, some intelligent chappies here,
Taking beer to the football, no fears,
Now they're miserable and happy dears!

Paradigm

Seems today, no one is imagining.
That people lost all creativity.
No one thinks outside the box,
they only think so logically.

That's why true, new, inventors.
That's why they don't exist.
And that's why you can never really say
or call that guy an artist.

It's why there's nothing really,
really nothing new.
They just take whats ready,
they take and they improve.

I don't see new stories
in motion pictures anymore.
The motion picture was itself
an invention I once did so adore.

Is there really no new ideas?
And only variations of,
these things some think are new ideas.
Is that why they're just the same old stuff?

To think outside the box.
Forget all of which you know
What you know it must be lost.
to let imagination flow.

If you were never shaped,
and told what's what and why.
Then like those two odd brothers
you could probably fly.

So when you ask of all things possible
and when they then say, why not and so.
Then go out and do it.
Just because they told you no.

Paradigm of Life

Until breath proves on how
Our unwavering care will support
Family ties run deep, dedication avowed
No step will bring us back to a path trodden apart

By looking at all the tall trees
A feeling we surmount big challenges
Who sees dawn to dusk, divining in the breeze
We are left with someone’s life to salvage

The cavern carved by the sea has chambers
Branching off the main pathway to follow
There are easy and hard trails to remember
As body pressed down being sleepy and mellow

We come out to view the other side
Of the foyer, we entered and tried to assess
Pleasures and sorrows that set smudge our pride
Trusting to succeed every hurdle that comes to mess

Selflessly giving life at one’s advantage
Like trees maintain sap to sustain its system
Breathe reminding heart to beat as their language
Keeping these rhythms as a way to listen

We kept a place where outcry couldn’t be heard
In our mortal dreams, we color it to become immortal
But life is not forever and that is our reward
On bated breath leading to heaven’s portal

As day and night crossed into our lives
Early morning smiles on the warm season
As evening rest fading as the sun arrives
In glimmering moment, we thank life for all the reasons

One cannot live without the other
Yet others cannot exist at the same time
In every sunrise and sunset, we discover
Reaching a sublime last breath became a paradigm

In temporal time my heart speaks in mime
Thru celestial chime a sorrow sublime
Parallel paradigm punitive crime
Galactic grime of love’s climactic climb
With savoring shadows I’m lost in rhyme
Like lingering lime a paradox prime.

When I examine everything I see
And find no fault in it but what's true
As to why I'm here and came to be
I have old answers from a point of view
To be alone in this flesh covered shell
Where perspective controls what I take in
Though perception can often compel
My focus on the world comes from within
Upon my last breath when I disappear
I will still question the passing of time
Alone, in my memories atmosphere
Vanquished by death, life's quiet paradigm

Like tides rushing to a surrendering shore
I was born to exist, until no more

My Brief Perception Sans, American Democratic Paradigm

Thee United States bedrock foundation
built upon premises sans,
Greco-Roman template,
whence freedoms as liberty,
life, and pursuit of happiness

revered as constituent concepts,
precepts, and tenets,
within which complex edifice

which metaphorical palimpsest blueprint
analogously enshrine

quintessential sacred scores

idealizing Magnum Opus

a brave new world
where enterprising anonymous minds

You would think by now I know its vain
There was this time no anesthesia
Even though I was not immune to pain
Just the light dulce et gloria
And I was blind like Samson without the flame
I woke to winter and empty trees
Nothing to hide nakedness and shame
Except the chilly blanket of the breeze
I gave her a spade and told her plant
She made a sickle and a wreath
And I sang to it – still their sycophant
The gardener dreams while breathe.

Paradigm Shift

With eyes full of splendor she emerged.
Her face shone like a saintly being,
She looked like she had never committed a sin.
I froze as she collected the microphone from our Vice Chancellor,
Her voice was soft like the sound from a xylophone.
The sight I beheld enchanted my twenty-two year old mind,
A Paragon of beauty made by the Lord so Kind,
I paid more attention to her voice than to the words it conjured,
But I managed to learn that she was a young Medical doctor.
Oh Lord! Beauty and brains-What Perfection!
I wished I could wife her.

And then came the bombshell,
It changed everything,
My attention shifted from sound of voice to words,
From the woman I saw to the woman she could actually have been.
Suddenly her past became an issue,
Suddenly she wasn’t that beautiful after all,
She just cleaned up nice after all.
Yes the picture I beheld changed when with pride she said,
“I am H.I.V. positive and I advocate against discrimination to HIV patients.”
I suddenly realized that the time was ten minutes past four.
Hurriedly, I exited the venue.
As I was ten minutes late for a crucial meeting.

One night while slumbering in my bed
thoughts were floating 'round my head,
that tinged my heart and singed my soul
with effervescent, gleaming gold.

Whispering through the darkened air
"You know you're on the right road there,"
where eagles fly and clouds drift by
and angels sing sweet lullabies.

Where a full moon shines like a silver pearl
and the universe dances like a little girl,
and all the matter in planets and stars
sing "Praise the Mighty Maker" from near and far.

And history past and future days
line up together in sun and shade,
in one long sweeping saga song
"The past is prologue, here and gone."

And other things that we can't comprehend
are drifting high up in the winds,
for us to catch and hold on to
when the time is right for me and you.

Until then, hold on to those most dear
while letting go of pointless fears,
for tomorrow when the new day shines
we're that much closer to a pristine paradigm.

Divine Paradigm of Heavens' Regime

Dimensionless boundaries seem to please
Till the existence of some soul finally cease
The modern world registers human reach
Technology still humble to break its peace

Heaven made of splendour beyond we think
The journey to space gave imagination a hint
Shine of stars brightest to make eyes blink
No one can capture the glory of it all in print

Saints call it Garden of Eden with Holy spring
Wish to be its part once the death bell rings
A place of rebirth where blessed souls sing
Joy ride of heaven charity is thought to bring

Scientists research on subjects they are keen
Delve into the universe to see heavenly scene
Galaxy and stellar remnants as heaven deem
Unearth some life at Moon is the basic theme

Ah! Is it all heaven as Humans believe and speak
Then why the elemental explanations still weak
The kingdom of God is at transcendental realm
Universe caress it as the possible Holiest Place.

Accessible by humans after virtuous living days
Lightened by “Serene Stars” , guided by Milky Way!
Nurtured by “Mild Moon”, good errands pay
Rekindling positive hopes the shining Sun’s rays…

O’ Heaven – an abode for man’s final destination
Showers love to all without discrimination
“Execute good” thus embraced by all religions
Looked after by God and all its manifestations

“Seamless Heaven” spreading far its feather
Inexplicably wondrous like the womb of Mother!
Scientific notations only space travels can gather
For divine sessions – Just be true to family and nation
Spiritual Sight will be gifted in afterlife
To feel the truth of nature….ever and later….
