Love Song
Your melody rocks me to sleep each night
with thoughts of candy floss clouds
floating aimlessly on by
ice cold lemonade for two
chilling our summertime heat
as I picnic in the shadows of your mind
In my morning when I wake
my heart beats and I whistle along
to the tune of the songbirds
I skip and I twirl under the apple blossoms
as the sun greets me with her smile
I can't help but daydream
the sea breeze brushes your blushed cheek
blowing your long flowing hazel hair 'cross your face
wishing away worries
setting off dreams of me
my silhouette up on the dune
gazing back at you
humming a lover's tune
two lost souls running to meet
hearts race
lips embrace
another lover's song
again you rock me to sleep
