Club Invites Police

The strangest act by a loved patron:
Inviting police and his baton
Over missing drinks in a carton
Reported stolen by a matron.

Now, dragging down club Electron.
She shall change her name to Neutron
Or, still nice and as sweet proton;
She might be sued if it's "Citreon".

But this is lesson for Miriam,
Who would into a cellar ram:

Workaholic

My hubby is a workaholic,
he's addicted to his job
He loves to put in a lot of overtime,
tacked on to his normal 9 to 9
Working double shifts, 
come holidays he never miss
He loves to stay late,
vacations he refuses to take
My man is a workaholic,
he never calls in sick
His boss don't have to put no carrot on

Workaholic had been his usual bag

Long suffering girlfriend had been her tag

Accountants reckoned him a millionaire

Travelling countless worldwide miles in the air

Now inspiration had deserted him

He was doubting when, where, how to begin

So far his typewriter had not been used

Glancing at it, he shrugged, slightly bemused

Then remembered finding Beth's gold earring

Knowing, without doubt, their love

Sometimes I feel a little unwell and don’t want to go to work,
Sometimes  at home we are too busy and I don’t want to go to work,
Sometimes the weather is lovely and I don’t want to go to work,
Sometimes I am too tired and I don’t want to go to work;

Daddy’s a workaholic...
But what about the hospital stay... the loss of blood,
his ashen dignity
Slight prate about moving into a veteran’s home

Only in his young eighty’s
Workaholics don’t quit

So the tiller cranks for cultivating
and the garden is sown, 
yet during it's interval of growth
he’s... vigorously active 
delivering the ‘elderly’ to appointments
