It was four am when I entered Colorado Springs Airport. Darkness of the sky was kissing the lips on the face of the mountain. Right around sunrise after I had my morning cappuccino I saw the sight that would speak to my mind and heart. The words came from Pikes Peak. The mountain was red

ANT SPRINGS FORTH-

newness calms new day
 season dawns a little dot 
 moves cross the pavement 

don't move or step down
this dot a spring baby ant
 from concrete to grass

dawn chorus chirps up
heralding the start of spring ~
nest building begins

Twenty Brief Springs

Take advantage of those non enduring things,
they are similar in swiftness to evanescent time:
it's the cleverest thief stealing your last dime,
who saves in an amber jar copper pennies?

Does youth only last for twenty brief springs?
Staring into the clearest mirror simply deceives:
that smooth face will no longer glow with beauty,
fine lines and wrinkles could appear after

SPRINGS COOLING NEW DAY RAIN-

New day spring has sprung
 prequel before cleansing 
Father so cleanses the air 
evaporated wet air rain 
With raindrops of cooling rain
 this thing falls we thank Him
 Advance for sunshine as 
 Within as cooling new day rain

we praise Him in the rain 
beautiful promised rainbow
 colorful promise to us from
 Allah we thank

Springs Arrival

The trees lining the streets are filled with cherry blossoms
Mother Nature is letting us know that spring arrival is going to be awesome
Enjoying a walk along the breakwater bustling with people enjoying the new day's sun
After a long winter, it is wonderful to be able to get out and have some fun
Flowers will soon bring

Battered winds surrounds me so
Engulfing intertwining

spring springs

Winter’s releasing us from its perpetually gray and gloomy grip.

Who can study in their room, on a beautiful spring afternoon?
Azaleas assail ya, with champagne petals of bubblegum fuchsias,
they blush in near neon reflection, with a mathematical, fractal perfection.

Courtyards that were once dark and uninviting, frosty scenes,
sport impromptu manicured carpets, of flawless, vibrant greens.

Dogwoods explode, abruptly

She Springs

Silently she arrived 
on rain bowed streams, in shamrock eyes.
She filled the ponds and fluffed the blossom
stuffed milkweed pods with puffs of cotton.
She nudged chorus frogs from emerald dreams 
gifting rubied songs    to the forever-greens. 
She rouged away the last snow flake 
brushing pastel hues into robin eggs.
Then she humbly drifted far

SPRINGS SHINE

such a time so be
spring has called temperatures yet 
feels as tho! sunshines

     Dawn’s dewdrops form a breathtaking lake
for the sunrise fairy who joys in a swim.
     Far from shore, where problems well,
tears rise as fog, ferries in daffodil sun.
