Premium Member Life With Trump Iv
Donald was born with life cushy
It’s known that he can be pushy
Expect this bully
To grab for things wooly
Like a fine pussy that’s bushy

Author's note: Get ready for the under the table shenanigans at state dinners....

Cedar Wood
I wish I were soft and cushy
So you wouldn’t have to move around on me so much
Maybe if you gave me a cushion
-but I like my natural color
So do you I think…
I’m sorry I make your butt hurt
But that’s what you get for stepping on me

Premium Member Cat cpr
Samantha my cat is a little bit stressed,
with strangers coming in and out of our nest..
She likes my wheelchair, her new spot to rest,
it's soft cushy pillow she finds the best..
When I'm asleep she does a respiration test,
checking in to make sure I'm not dead I guess?
Hopefully she would do cat cpr to my chest.....

I keep my remote distance:
controlling volume,
sweep of channels--
omnipotence in the palm of my hand.

Of course we know
in our hearts
this is foolish--
the entire exercise
or lack of;

the sediment life style
or lack of;
death in an easy chair--
too easy to die,
far too soft
and cushy
to take shape
and usefully live.......

Premium Member Make Up New Words Without a Care
Thunder gas pushy pals.
Wonder mass cushy gals.
Under crass gushy owls.
Sunder lass mushy fowls.

Yes poetry is a play of words.
Sometimes funny, other times absurd.
Whispered sweetly, gently overheard.
On wings of faeries or tiny birds.

Gobbly wobbly grizzly bear.
Sobbily dobbily crizzly share.
Making up new words without a care.
Creating a missive, easy to share....

Premium Member I Like You the Best
I like you the best
You can come to my nest
And swing in my dinosaur swing
Said my new neighbor, Zing.

I was flattered of course.
I ran over as fast as a horse
Not realizing I would be sitting
In a large mouth, no kidding!

This swing had huge dinosaur teeth.
Both above and beneath.
I tried to look calm, but I was quite alarmed.
Cushy swing suddenly lost a lot of her charm....

Premium Member He Aint Prickly Hes My Brother
He ain’t prickly, he’s my brother I said.
Full of quills though, right? Asked my neighbor Fred
Not awful, tolerable actually, cushy even,
This was thrown in by my best friend Steven.

You mean you ride on his back? A little one queried.
Yes I said, and I am not one bit worried.
He is young, so his quills are not intolerable yet.
I am not fearful at all, for these things I don’t fret....

Premium Member Let's Go Back to the Midwest
robin family is annoyed at Spokane’s rainy weather
They get a yellow umbrella and stay together
Let’s go back to the Midwest says the father, loud.
Yes! The wife agrees, looking at a new storm cloud.

They huddle together, bracing their feathers in the wind.
Mommy, Daddy, Zin and her twin brother, Finn.
At the end of the storm, they decide to stay.
Their nest is marvelous with cushy places to lay....

    Greetings from Our Cats

It is Monday, but do you think we care.
So cozy on our cushy, heavenly, leather chair?

Just had a yummy breakfast, thanks a bunch!
So tell us please, what’s being served for lunch?

Indeed, life for felines is such a sweet breeze,
Now ! Go open the window for us,sweetie…please?

Premium Member My Clock Is Off
My eyes have closed again
I am way too cozy in this cushy recliner
Determined to stay awake I fight my way to the other side of my sleep veil
...........................................
My eyes pop open.
I am shocked I am holding the I-pad
I had stopped typing this poem three lines in.
It is 6:44 p.m. if I go to sleep now
I will be up at 3:30 again
Just like this morning

My eyes close....

Outdoors
I love to be outdoors,
but hiking, I don't commit.
I'll pick the cushy swing,
for my lazy butt to sit.

Umbrella drink in hand,
but lacking the umbrella.
When my life reminds me,
I'm fine without a fella.

Under the old maple,
where my cushy swing does fit.
I really take a chance,
with the bug bites and bird...poop.

With my trustee Schnoodle,
that will never leave my side.
I love to be outdoors,
It's where I feel alive....

Premium Member Sherry Valentines Cat
Sherry was an old-fashioned valentine’s day cat
She loved sitting on fluffy day beds, cushy and fat.
Her parlor had a floral valentine’s day welcome mat
Gift from her latest amour, a tomcat named Pat

The trouble is that Pat’s sister is more than a bit of a brat.
Peskier than a mosquito, a fly, a hornet, a bee or a gnat.
Even though Pat’s presence made her heart go pitter-pat
She decided to release him due to the antics of sister brat....

Premium Member Invited Puppies to Tea
I have invited puppies to tea with Earl Gray brew.
With canned beef, chopped liver and bits of chicken too.
They are coming in, frolicking with a twitch and a twee.
How much more delighted could this impromptu tea party be?

They do not like the cushy embroidered chairs, barking their disdain.
They have torn down some curtains, their energy is a drain.
I am worn out and overworked when I finally scoot them out,
That’s the last time I shall invite puppies to tea no doubt....
