      Spring! What a captivating flower!
           Its wonderful bright color
      Seduces everywhere with power!

Left slack at the edge of the violin,
an afterthought of gut and wire,
waiting for the bow that never descends.

Every note passes overhead
like birds stitching the sky.
The hollow body drinks their chorus,
yet no song grows inside this wood.

Ears open in the varnish,
dark mouths swallowing everything unfinished—
a concerto of failures,
a catalogue of unsung hours.

Different, always different,
not melody

I met her at a biker bar 
somewhere in midtown Monterrey.
She said she was a topless dancer,
working fifteen shifts a day.

She handed me a well-worn token,
said her name was Daisy Mae,
said if I learned to play the game right
I would never have to pay.

I caught me a Dingo
I named that dog Bingo
He was no more than three

He watched o'er my nippers
And fetched me my slippers
What a good dog was he

One day while out walking
I heard people talking

Being GRATEFUL is often expressed through prayer, praise, and acts of service that reflect a recognition of God's blessings. It reminds us to ALWAYS appreciate even the smallest things and to recognize that everything ultimately comes from God.
Gratitude is a positive response to experiencing God's goodness and grace. 
In other words, once we realize that

fabulous fabricated forlorn frenzied Franciscan fable
garnered garrulous geese gathered at Gloria’s gable
harboring a hangout for a hunter with Achille’s heel
identifying idiosyncrasies that are less than ideal
juggling jam-packed jokesters without a good joke
Keeping an eye out for kibitzers and kindly kinfolk
like-minded Lilliputian with a lullaby I like
manifesting mystical magic, then throwing down the mike

happily haunts Henry’s hoarder habitat

jiggery-pokery jimjams justified
kismet keeping kowtowing kin keen
lighthearted lively long-winded laggard laughs
magnifying mystical malefactor’s mysteriousness

granite gargoyles in Greg’s garden
happily high-fived handshake that hardened
Introducing indigenous iris to Illinois
jubilantly jiggling their midwestern joy
kings of the garden we are, said the giant gargoyle
laughing and loving their role, they spit into the soil
most of the fey rolled their eyes at the two
nay said a petunia troll, unsure what he could do
outstandingly confident said

I felt joy when I read my granddaughter’s tribute to me
She was nine, and had no idea I would ever see it
Her mother, my daughter, gave it to me.
She had named me A.K.G. – awesome kid grandma

This page is uplifting, and wonderful
It makes me feel excited and happy every time I read it

Father Christ ascended
Body and Soul
Into heaven on Ascension day
40 days after His Resurrection
We say that Father Christ sits at the right hand of Eternal God
The Eternal Father Almighty
We mean that our Divine Lord as Eternal God is equal to the Eternal

Glowing with glimmers and glimpses of glorification
Generating generous gentlewoman’s grateful glances
