Premium Member Accomplished One Goal

this summer I had six goals
one of them was to clean my bedroom
I was living like a hoarder
I was not sure if muskrats or raccoons were in there
a snake would not have surprised me

was going to compile some more books
that did not happen
might clean the kitchen
not a priority evidently
determined to drink lots of water
I hate water

I spent most of my vacation cartooning and painting
played word games
did whatever I wanted to do
whenever I wanted to do it
entertained myself quite nicely
I feel sorry for people who have no idea how to do this

Accomplished

Achievement

One day I will feel accomplished
Not people praising me or chanting my name out loud
But I will feel accomplished in a way words can't describe
Only me and you can truly feel it

You will know when it happens and why
But for now relax
For we only have so much time
So savor every moment
and make it matter
Because you never know when the last will come

You stayed with me throughout my life
so thank you
I know I don't have much to offer
But I will try my best to put a smile on your face
Long and bright

I don't want this moment to end
I feel magical
I feel bright
I feel happy
I feel accomplished.

Premium Member Jesus Accomplished Salvation Completely - John 19: 30

It all happened 2000 years ago
Jesus Christ son of God incarnate
lived on earth the perfect life
showed the way to heaven's gate

God's will was to bruise His son
using various means with evil men
a roman cross was the ultimate means
planned from eternity God knew when

There Jesus paid the perfect sacrifice
for the sins of those he chose to select
the full weight of it was on Him
salvation's price was His to collect

But at Calvary's cross, Jesus Christ spoke
His very last words before He did die
bowing His head having completed His task
sinner's salvation accomplished the last cry

Jesus did then give up His spirit
it is finished rings out to all
the world is now forever changed
Satan's plan eternally forever to fall

Jesus accomplished salvation completely
the son of God is the saviour of grace
sin is vanquished to death's fall
so heaven awaits its chosen race

("When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.' John 19: 30 (ESV)")

Mission Accomplished

A vicar whose sermons were boring
Caught one of his choristers snoring
The lesson was taught
He cut sermons short
And numbers in church are now soaring!

Accomplished Desires

Scarred hands,
Titanium heart,
Dutiful hands,
Unrelenting pursuit.

They were her joy,
Embellishments in her night sky,
Budding flowers in her garden,
Music in her midnight moments.

As they slept,
She looked at them with tear-filled eyes,
She thanked God for giving
them as gifts to add colour and spice to her life.

Each day stood before her as a portrait,
She painted what she wanted to see,
Hope aided her brush strokes,
Perseverance added the salient details.

Autumn was her favourite season,
It opened the door for her muse,
She emptied her thoughts in lines and stanzas,
She sang as they raked leaves.

She smiled as she breathed her last,
They stood around her,
Tears streamed down their eyes,
She had steered her boat valiantly.

Premium Member Those Who'Ve 'Accomplished'

Endless stretch the tracks
  of those who’ve ‘accomplished’!
The chilling realization
  Iron's flash, decapitation
    History's knife, expurgation...

What once moved men’s hearts
   relentless clawed apart ~
Fickle be the art
   of every fresh start

Mission Accomplished

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
We dance, mutate and celebrate: another perfect host.
The old make easy prey, we watch them gasp
and slip away. And our kind are not averse

to the odd doctor or nurse, regardless of their ages.
But while the populace weeps and rages, the death
toll turns, a thousand pages .We catch the young
while on the run , target bathers soaking sun.

Here’s to a babe in its mother’s arms. He takes no solace
from our charms. We proliferate in lungs, leak bodily
juices, giving neither apology nor excuses. It’s strike,
strike and strike again. Attacking gaps in mask, gown
or gloves, we seize our chances.

The target’s cells weep blood, and slowly die.
Our deadly dancers sigh and shrivel, too. But that’s what
we were born to do. Others soon will take
our places, embracing all the creeds and races.

Accomplished

Touched by the encouragement
by my friends and family closest
Honoured by the crowded
awarded for my hard work and time for all its worth
Anticipated by the world
    opportunities arrive and organizations plea
Nurtured by my culture and education
brought up in a good background and town
Kept my faith and hopes high
trusted in God and walked the plank
Still protected by the Lord
with a long life string in His hands

Premium Member Flatpack Dining Set- Mission Accomplished

The box arrived at lunchtime from the East,
components counted out,all twenty one,
the screws, washers and dowels all there at least,
but noticed the instruction sheets were gone.
Spread out around me like some I.Q test,
bits lay in random fashion on the floor,
was confident that I would do my best
since I had sat at one of these before.
Table stands propped up with a homemade peg,
stood at a jaunty angle near the door,
chairs like cows that have been shot in the legs.
First meal put down slides off onto the floor.

I sit back, scratch my head and look confused
Cat scratches ear, and wanders off, bemused.

Mission Accomplished

English Sonnet

A speck of dust had life breathed into it
A willing volunteer a soul of love
Conceived of lust, love, trust and light spirit
 Trip impossible without God above

 Arrival endured treacherous journey
Brilliant light at the end of the tunnel
Caressing arms, warm milk, silk skin and free
Adapting to life after the funnel

Boundless beauty was gladly encountered
Hardships too whittled the befuddled soul
Spit your heart out and purposely devoured
Changes you didn't seek a small black hole

When the mission was accomplished and ceased
Sweet Surrender your last breath was released

For if we are only human
we have separated ourselves
from our divinity

re-created ourselves
in our own disfigured
images and likeness’

gone forth preaching
to all nations the truth
of our godless inhumanity
