Gerrard Mcgeachy Poem
Human Rights June 27,2015
Human rights for you and me
Palestinian children living free
People free without a tear
Children playing without fear
Irish children white, orange and green
A united Ireland without the queen
A new Ireland for me and you
Living in peace with thirty-two
No death squads in our country
Make killing is a memory of our past
First nation people have their land
No dividing line in the sand
Mount Rushmore Mountain Time for change
Those faces on the rock
Free the people you and me
First Nations people must be free
Africa, Madiba’s dream
Eyes blind to bigotry
He showed the world the way
Let the people have their say
Black Americans locked in jail
The justice system did surely fail
Homeless people, you know what I mean
Give them a home, the American dream
Feed the people, ban the bomb
The politicians got it wrong
Make our world a better place
Save our children and the human race
Human rights for you and me
Palestinian children living free

Gerrard Mcgeachy Poem
An Irish State of Mind July 20, 2013
In a New York bar, pretty far, with Donegal on my mind
Missing my country, miss my friends, in an Irish state of mind
Donegal town, Bundoran, Killybegs to Malin Head
I miss them all that’s for sure, that’s what an old man said
This is my new town; don’t know if I’ll stay
The Donegal feeling is with me every other day
I left sweet Gweedore behind me on that Irish shore
Sometimes I dream I’m home, who could ask for anything more
Just for a little while to walk an Irish mile
To be with them all, that brings a smile
Some future day I’ll be on my way to kiss that Blarney stone
When that day comes I’ll know for sure I’m home
In a New York bar, pretty far, with Donegal on my mind
Missing my country, miss my friends, in an Irish state of mind

The Final Mile December 7, 2013
Madiba can I walk with you
On your final mile of life
As you grace the ground
With a peaceful sound
You walk the road of peace
You embraced the others
You made it happen on your way
You brightened up their day
The people you touched
The young and the old
Your words of peace
Discrimination must cease
You carried your load
To the end of the road
Goodbye my friend
We've reached the end
Madiba can I walk with you on
On your final mile of life

Color Blind April 1, 2017
Color blind, just a little child
No hate to show with love inside
I’m not alone I have a home
Different colors on their own
I like the sun; a happy day
Living with love, don’t go away
Be my friend, there is no hate
Color blind, feeling great
I have no fear, be my friend
We can walk together till the end
Dream of peace, dream today
Hatred gone or so they say
The war goes on for you and me
Be my friend color free
Color blind, just a little child
No hate to show with love inside

Gerrard Mcgeachy Poem
My Irish Jewel May 15, 2016
They took a piece of my land, six of thirty two
They came with might and stole it, England shame on you
You took a piece of my land, you stole my Irish jewel
You divided my land, You treated us so cruel
Our people suffered, your religion and your laws
United together, We'll die for the Irish cause
From Cork to the little streets of Ireland
We remember and make our stand
A united nation together for me and you
Twenty six plus six, we want our thirty two
From every part of Ireland all the way to Donegal
We'll unite our land, we'll answer Ireland's call
Return my Irish jewel you stole, let Ireland live in peace
A nation again of thirty two with everlasting peace
They took a piece of my land, six of thirty two
They came with might and stole it, England shame on you

Gerrard Mcgeachy Poem
The Long Road Home April 3, 2016
It's been a struggle on our long road home
Troubled times for our people, ourselves alone
We've lost our friends and our family on the way
We stand united together on our streets everyday
Growing up in our country with the others that came
Soon made our children play the patriots game
Loosing a friend of your childhood days
Thoughts in your heart, the memory stays
walking through fields, thinking of four
This lovely land a nation once more
From every street we lost one of us
Lead don't discriminate, we know what it does
The children of today with Irelands cause
We're never going back, it's forward and more
Free people in our new land, Irish for sure
No hate in our land only justice and peace
Our struggle is over, the drums must cease
We'll live together the way it should be
When that day comes we will be free
It's been a struggle on our long road home
Troubled times for our people, ourselves alone

Colour Blind With an Open Mind May 18, 2016
Everybody deserves their right
Freedom now without a fight
Everybody will walk free
Loving their country, you and me
Greet a friend, walk our street
Freedoms way with the right to meet
Children grow with laughter and fun
What a dream, the revolutions begun
Colour blind with an open mind
Religion free, save mankind
Children together the way to be
No flags to fly walking free
Join the people with an open sea
No more of them, just you and me
share the world, begin today
Every child has a better day
No more tears, stop the pain
Welcome tomorrow and do it again
Everybody deserves their right
Freedom now without a fight

Gerrard Mcgeachy Poem
Khaki Clothes ad Army Boots May 1, 2016
Khaki clothes and army boots kill the people on our street
The enemy came, they found out soon, Irish freedom no defeat
Go home to England, leave our land, take the planters with you
There is no welcome for you here in our country of thirty two
With the empires might you are selective, they picked you for their fight
Killing Irish people as you creep the streets at night
Give a kid of sixteen years a gun to fight your war
Sign your name on the dotted line, see the world for sure
A product of England's failure will fail again for sure
On an Irish street you will face defeat, If you're lucky you'll go home
If your not you may say goodbye on an Irish street alone
The promise of new lands and sunshine, welcome to Ireland's shore
No golden sands, no beaches, you've been sold a dream for sure
Go home before it's over, Go home to England's shore
We all make mistakes in life, you've made one for sure
Take your Khaki clothes and army boots, return them to your boss
They may have sentenced you to death and they never gave a toss
Khaki clothes and army boots, kill the people on our streets
The enemy came, they found out soon, Irish freedom no defeat

Catch A Tear Of Freedom February 4, 2017
Make the earth a place of peace
Say no to racism, start the show
Change our world, no more hate
Change it now, no time to wait
I'm color blind, no hate. no shame
I show respect to every name
Don't lose a friend you've never met
Extend a hand without regret
Children crying begging for life
Look in their eye, don't let them die
The tears they cry are tears of life
Broken people without a life
Stop the hunger, stop the world
Bring back a smile to eyes of love
Catch a tear of freedom, start the show
Catch a tear of freedom, don't let it go
Change our world, no more hate
Change it now no time to wait
Make our earth a place of peace
Say no to racism, start the show

Gerrard Mcgeachy Poem
Shining Stars May 28, 2016
The stars shine down from up above
They shine for Ireland the people they love
Every star has a special place
For irish people and the Irish race
Every child that died in our country dear
A little star will shed a tear
Every martyr killed or forced to die
Other stars will also cry
The stars in the sky each one knows why
The irish nation, a mothers cry
Ten stars shone bright on a Belfast night
For the ten who died in the dark of night
Eight stars did shine God Bless loughall
The boys were taken, they answered the call
The starry plough shines in the sky
Connolly died, we still ask why
Thirty two stars shine for you and me
Many more will shine when Irelands free
The stars shine down from up above
they shine for Ireland and the people they love
