The Misunderstood

Amid a life of imperative breathing
There lived a girl, her heart was bleeding.
She cared not much for earthly things
Though she yearned relief, from which fulfillment brings.

Such loneliness her soul does feel,
Her heart was crying, no comfort could heal.
She's losing faith at a rapid rate,
For too long she's searched and now she waits.

"If you are out there, hear my cry,
Feel my spirit calling, before I lay down to die."

Darkness, My Old Friend

Her vibrant spirit was one of a kind,
Childlike excitement flowed through her mind.
She loved her joyful heart at play,
Always embracing whatever came her way.

Though she would not ever change a thing,
Her demons started stirring within,
Little whispers she would hear,
Speaking untruths into her ear.

Even though she knows it's lies,
She goes ahead, being not so wise.
She knows the aftermath she will face,
Yet the reward she dared not waste.

It feels so good inside her head,
The promise delivered, just like they said.
Taking her places she loves to be,
But this happiness lasts only momentarily.

With dawn at break, a new day starts,
The devil is back to collect his part.
With much regret, she pays the price.
And hands him her heart, as she cries.

Forsaken Love

A dormant volcano, it appears to sleep,
Stirring within, waiting to be freed.
It burns with such fire, so fierce & so deep,
Abundantly flowing, yet hopelessly seeps.

A love so intense, it's yet to be seen,
Her passion's explosive, overwhelmingly keen.
It runs through her veins, slowly going to waste,
Disappointment and heartache was all that she faced.

Buried so deep, a long lost treasure,
Hidden beneath her, this forsaken pleasure.
A love so suppressed, just seeking it's place,
It patiently waits, to erupt in all it's grace.

Black Seas of Infinity

I wander through the night,
Swallowed by the darkness.
The wind blows eerily,
Yet I am not afraid.

Ancient trees sway above me,
Casting creepy shadows...
...They cannot harm me.

The silence is so welcoming...

...I am alone in this world!

I move around in slow motion,
Watching the world revolve.
It doesn’t matter though,
Because to me, time is standing still.

I look around me, absorb my surroundings.
Oh how I love the peacefulness it brings!
I don’t know where I’m going; I think I could be lost.
Still, I embrace every step of the journey.

I’m trying to find, the light?

I wander endlessly...
I am caught in an eternity...
I never find the light....

Beautiful Lie

In shallow purpose a world persists,
Oblivious to the ignorance in which they exist.
We're looked upon with much despair,
No attempt to render all paths fair.

Searching deeper I have found,
When time is right, they'll come around.
They heed not much our madness tales,
Though by their teachings, humanity has failed.

I speak these words with hopes they'll ponder,
Perhaps one day, they too will walk in wonder.
Take no offence in what I say,
It's just my thoughts each night and day.

That Moment

That moment comes, from where it dwelt,
That moment comes and demands to be felt.
That moment comes, you've known it for years,
That moment comes and brings you to tears.

That moment when you always remember,
That moment when you realise it's not forever.
That moment when you feel slight comfort,
That moment when you believe it'll be triumphant.

That moment when you can't wait to feel,
That moment when it's finally real.
That moment when your soul is not alone,
That moment when you no longer have to roam,

That moment where nothing is to fear,
That moment has come, it's finally here.
That moment where all the miles you've flown,
That moment is here... I welcome you home.

Silent Screams

She’s seeking the fire, a feeling long gone.

Most days are a drag, yet she must push on.

Merely existing, her flame’s dying out,

It kills her more each day, without a doubt.

Though temporary comfort she might find,

There’s no happy ending, it’s killing her inside.

Slowly tearing her soul, she’s fading away,

A numb, lifeless feeling, her spirit decayed.

Through all the madness, she still cracks a smile,

Courageously trying to make her days worthwhile.

She ponders some thoughts, just wondering why

She is on this earth, when her spirit wasn’t meant to fly.

When Death Calls

I long for a place of freedom & peace,
Where mortal filth does not exist, a place pure & clean.
I want to go there, but I don’t know where it is,
I see it in my mind & reach for it in my dreams.

Each day I wander aimlessly upon this earth,
Trying to find rhyme or reason, the purpose of my birth.
Although I have great blessings, I still cannot find,
Fulfilment & peace within my mind.

I don’t know how or when my spirit died,
All I know, is, that I feel numb inside,
I hate that often feel this way,
It adds to my feelings of guilt & betray.

And so, it continues, no peace for my mind,
This war in my head, is what I wish to leave behind.
I long for a place, with no tears and no pain,
I know it exists, I can hear it calling my name.
