The Silent Soldier

There he stood alone and cold in the dark bare streets
Dressed in rags from hand me downs, & carrier bags on his feet
The hustle of the daily grind constantly passes by
But still he stands & never speaks, or even bats an eye
No-one noticing where he stands or even who he is!
This young homeless soldier now back from war & living on the street
Ten years ago it was different when he left to go to war
Just a boy of 18 was he, when he left his homely shore
A proud mother waved her son goodbye with tears of pride & pain
Not knowing when she will ever see her child, her son again
With pride he saluted his country's flag as he ran with guns & knives
Knowing by the end of the day he would have started taking lives
He saw the death around him, the faces etched in fear
But still he had to shoot that gun until he was given the all clear
The images stayed inside his head for years & years to come
The memories of having to shoot little kids that were using loaded guns
They haunted him all through the day even when he closed his eyes
The sights & the sounds, that were left behind made him unable to live his life
The boys they couldn't help him, he was seen as damaged goods
Kicked from the only life he knew cos his hands could no longer shoot
The life in civvy street was hard, the rules of the game had changed
No orders, no friends, no arms, no men his days were not the same
The normal life just didn't compare to the life he had to serve
His team became just him alone, his orders left unheard
So from the place he stayed, he left & went to that homely shore
No mum to wave him off this time, no fleet to sail anymore
So rocks in carrier bags he filled, & tied them to his feet
Then walked they way his boat had sailed, when he had first joined the fleet
Nobody even missed him, as he walked into that sea
Returning to the life he knew, the deaths, the war, the team
So now on a lonely street he stands, this statue so proud and tall
A silent cold stone soldier representing the men that died for us all

Raver Life

The pinks, the yellows, the greens, the blues
Bright coloured outfits, bright sparkly shoes
These are the sights I love most to see
The horns, the whistles, my raving family
The beats, the bass, the atmosphere in the place
The music, the lyrics, the complete lack of space
The bond that you feel as you bounce to that sound
That feeling makes you free, nothing can bring you down
The lyrics that's spat when you all know the words
Makes the whole place erupt as you repeat what you've heard
The euphoria from the tunes that the turntable kings play
Makes you forget all your troubles, all your cares slip away
The description is perfect, summed up in one word
We are ravers, we are friends, we are family, we are PLUR

The Girl In the Mirror

There's a girl in the mirror, I wonder who she is?
Sometimes I think I know her, sometimes I wish I did
When she looks back at me I can see she hurts inside!
Way too much pain & too many goodbyes
She smiles with all that she has left, yet tears are left undried
And although she has got so much today, she bottles it up inside
If you look past her broken eyes to a shadow that no-one can see
It's a disguise that you won't recognise,
That girl is really me!!!

An Agoraphobics Anxiety

My head won't stop! It's going to pop,
Trying to figure out what's right & what's not
I want him to have a perfect life,
Perfect woman, perfect wife
He choose me to be her, not someone else or some other!
But I'm scared I can't be what he deserves
I'm an agoraphobic pyscho, no backbone, no nerves!
I can't even leave past the front door, he needs someone else that can give him his wants & more
I've let him down so many times, stuck in this prison I call my mind! He wants out, I want in, no dates, no days out, no meals nothing
How can happiness be made without these things
I hate to talk to anyone, I could just sit silent for all the time to come
But surely he can't survive like that, explaining his fiancé is a gutless twat!!
I've tried so hard to push it away, to go out my comfort zone at least once a day
But the voices inside me have made it too hard, to even think of outside nearly stops my heart
I wish I could be the me that I was, the me who was strong, the me who was boss!!!
But that person has faded away, she hides in the places I can't find every day, she hides from me and everyone else, she hides from reality and stays by herself!
How much more can my boys take? Watching me bend, then seeing me break, how much more can I put them through, knowing it hurts me but must kill you, watching defenceless as I self implode knowing if you try to help I will explode!!!! I'm sorry to you all for being me, I wish I wasn't, I wish you all were free, I know your love is what keeps you here, I wish It didn't, I wish you were free!!!!!!!

Atheism

I used to believe in God, I did
As I was growing up
Being taught of heaven & love & peace
To respect the man above!!
But growing up I've realised, it's just a nasty scam
Believing in a world which takes the lives of innocent children, women & man!
They say if you look with your heart high above, you sense the ones you have lost
But surely if that God man had any morals, they would be here no matter the cost?
Lives being taken every day, some don't breathe or even get to grow up
Too many go young, too many go in pain & too many don't even know
It judges the fact if that God is so good, those innocents wouldn't even have to go!
Yet their are murderers, rapists & worse, that are allowed to live nice & free
Plotting who's next on deaths murder list, who has upset them this week!
But nothing is done they still live & breathe, whilst creating crimes all the time
Living like thugs & acting like them too, yet they're still breathing, living their life!
So why would you worship someone who takes all the bests & leave all the bad to survive?
While innocents strive to fight for their lives, just to apparently fill up his heaven, his home
This is why I cannot believe that this God even really exists, a fairytale, a nursery rhyme, maybe even a myth
Just Look into your own hearts people, would you take the good & leave the crime, would you prefer to live around Criminals & murderers? Than the good people that will cherish that time?
So for me he will hale from some mans fairy tale until he realises what he does is wrong! If a person kills innocents he sent to jail n put to death, but gods doing the same but he's hailed as a saint, that's how messed up this world really is!!!!!

The Family

She stands there in her ragged clothes, every night without fail
Just staring at the ocean waves, her heart beats with every swell
This fair young maiden all alone, stood on the waters edge
Nobody can see the pain in her eyes or the thoughts going round her head
She calls their names but all the time the wind blows it away
She waits & waits just calling, hoping they will come home one day!
The last time that she saw them they were sailing in the sea
Running away from a country in trouble, risking their life just to flee
Fifty people in just one boat, packed tightly to the core
Holding onto her love and her only child slowly heading for the shore,
Thinking of the better life she wants to give her child
No one noticed the weather that was growing very wild
She holds her child close to her chest, praying they make dry land
The boat is slowly sinking and there is no help at hand
As the water slowly carries all their prayers away
The waves get big & bolder and the lands too far away!
Into the watery darkness she starts to sink real quick
Moving her loving baby as high as she could get
But nothing can help this family as they sink into the sea
No help is being sent and no one is there to see
They only wanted a better life from all the death & war
That's why they tried to sail into a better friendly shore
No one survived the deadly sea, no one got to the land
The last thing that she saw was her love trying to grab her hand
So every night she waits and calls no matter what the cost
Her ghost will be there every night till she finds what she has lost

War and Peace

One cold dark night I saw the sign, The writings on the wall
Telling people "Peace not War"
Don't let the whole world fall
The leaders say just bomb them all
And hope that will be the end
But someones always wanting more
They will even kill their friends
Terrorism & racial gangs
All trying to be "Top Dog"
Not caring who gets hurt on the way
To their journey to the top
When the innocent lay dead at their feet
And their status stays the same
The killings become more extreme
And all because they just want fame!
What happened to the peaceful world?
What makes a person so cruel?
Bombs placed in public places,
Shootings going off at schools
I'm sure we wernt evolved for this
To murder just for fun
And all these different religious beliefs
Just shoved in everyone
The world it is our home, our place
Yet it is dying everyday
Through members of the human race
We will lose this place one day
So people lay down your arms & bombs
Let everybody unite
This world it is for everyone
So just give up the fights!!

Our Saviours

They fight for our freedom, they fight to survive
Yet pittance is paid with a great loss of life!
From women to men all part of the team
Not knowing if they will wake up from their dream
Risking their own lives day after day
Yet people who kick a ball seems to get way better pay
These people say goodbye not knowing if it's their last
Are they going to have a future or will this be their past
You don't hear them complain as they check out for mines
Even though it could be the very last time
It's a job, it's a career, no it's a service to you
Keeping you safe & the country that they respect too
The respect given to soldiers is never enough
They die for us, they fight for us, they stand for what they love!

My Life, My Party, My Ball

Sometimes I'm loud & very brash,
What some might call "white trailer trash"
But inside I bleed red, I'm just like you
Just a little mixed up & a little confused
Hated by many for mistakes that I make!
But isn't that life? It's a risk that you take
I just had to feel wanted, needed & loved
But that made me do some bad & mad stuff!
I'm not growing up, I'm falling apart
An empty hole eating away at my heart
But now I must stand on my two feet alone
Learn who I am and get back in the zone!
So now I know I must walk away,
But remember it was you who helped make me this way
So now time to fix me & start standing tall
Cos this is MY life, MY party, MY ball

You

You are my world, the one and only part
You are my life, that lives deep in my heart
You taught me to live, and showed me the way
You helped me get by, each passing day
You looked past the hate, and brought out the good
You gave me faith, and brought out my love
You gave me a chance, so I could get through
You gave me your love, and I gave you mine too
You gave me your time, that helped me a lot
You gave me advice, and said worry not
"Without you I'd be nothing
Your love to me is dear
I never want you to leave me
I always want you near"
