Neil Nelson Poem
Our coiled limbs
Refuse
To let go.
The Sun's rays
Mingle
With our glow.
Long past lunch,
Aching.
All we need
Is right here
Under
The duvet.
We're content
Laying
Close despite
Our clammy
Flesh, thighs
Adhering.
I kiss your
Forehead
Studded with
Your cool sweat.
And then
I'm hooked
All over again...

Neil Nelson Poem
Before we parted
We stood
In the hallway,
Wordless.
I lift your chin,
You smile.
I hold your face
Gently.
And steal a kiss
From you.
Our lips gently
Pressed.
Our breaths shallow,
Eyes closed.
Neither of us
Moving.
Only our lips
Matter.
Then I must leave.
Only so
I may come back;
And return
The kiss I stole.

Neil Nelson Poem
sliding down behind
The clouds.
Even their soft
Obfuscation
Fails to hide
Such brilliant radiance.
The world will turn still,
And time
Keeps on passing.
This is fine though.
Even a star
Needs a break from your smile.
I long for the time I
Can say
"Good morning, rise
And shine,"
My own sunrise, framed by your lips.

Neil Nelson Poem
They are as oceans,
Vast, deep, and open;
Unfathomable.
I dive into them,
Drawn in with each look.
They are the night sky,
A fractal beauty;
Sophisticated.
I would spend my hours
Just exploring them.
Windows of your soul,
Exquisite blue rifts.
Incomparable.
With each fleeting glance
My heart and soul soar.

Neil Nelson Poem
That I am this,
A pause.
Waiting until
You and I
Are us and we.
Fingers knitted,
Cuddled close.
Away from you
I am a locus.
A spark
Which blinds.
Overwhelming
With every
Thought of you.
Apart from you,
I only need
To follow
The desire
Of; my heart
Only knows you
Are what is missing

Neil Nelson Poem
My love resides
within my heart.
A delicate,
Paper thing.
It gently glows,
Smouldering.
A the slightest
Provocation
It erupts into
Roaring flame,
Leaving me
Burnt, damaged.
I want you to
Have this small,
Fragile edifice
Of my love.
And together
Find a way
To nurture
Its frail light.

Neil Nelson Poem
In the morning
When you smile
And snuggle closer;
I cannot find
Words to say
What you make me feel.
I can hold you
In my arms,
But you mean much more
Than I can say.
I will try
Instead to show you.
Fascinated
Just by you.
A universe for
Me to explore,
In a girl
I cannot help but
Love

Neil Nelson Poem
Books to read.
Because time
To spend is
hard to find.
Vicarious
Lives lifted
From musky
Pages.
Things to do.
Because time
Is best spent
By growing.
Developing
New friendships,
Interests,
Life.
Photographs.
Because they
Carry on
When I'm gone.
Remembering
Smiles and words,
Drinks and laughs,
Love.
Making plans.
Because then
I can smile,
I can't wait.
Fragmented by,
Trying to
Do it all.
Then,
It's time for
Tea and cake.
Remember
to unwind.
Contemplating
What will I
Try to be
Next?

Neil Nelson Poem
So many things in life
Happen at other people's pace.
take for example waiting
Half a year to move into my own place.
I thought I'd learn to drive,
But didn't book my course
Early enough and so,
My licence will take longer to endorse.
The waiting stretches out.
Soon I see what I had changed, stopped
To accommodate these
And realise the passions I had dropped.
Anticipation have no doubt,
Makes things all the sweeter for
Looking forward to
Those things we slowly come to adore.
And so I wait because
You never really dwell
on those moments
which span the wanting, and all being well.

Neil Nelson Poem
Brown eyes,
Round paths.
I follow
My heart
back to them.
Looking in
Them it
Feels like home,
And in them
I am home.
Wholesome
Ground that
Keeps me,
Knows me,
Grows with me.
I can see
Love and
Patience and
the past,
And the future
Excites me.
Because I see you
Already
There waiting.
All in your
Brown eyes.
