The Young Philosopher

I listen calmly to him
Slowly nudging him on
As he expounds on philosophy
Hidden gems are revealed
Polished and inspected
This one owns a gold mine
This one has hidden gems
I love to see them exposed
That's why am silently probing

Transcendental

He enters into a deep trance
The soft music nudges him on
A lucid dreamer he is now
He gains transcendence
A soul travellor he is now
The secrets time and space
His to master his to explore
He has a taste of the divine
He is jolted back to our ream
His skin tingling with static

Of Tales, the Stuff of Legends

Great are his exploits
honour and rank
he's celebrated
he's immortalized
He's fondly recalled
Back to memory

The great legends of Old..
Great Chief Waiyaki wa Hinga..
Aged nine he killed a lion
with his bare hands...
When the imperialist came.. Waiyaki..
Raised a huge Army armed with bows and arrows

Testing the might of the staff which spat fire
Fore told by the great seer Mugo Wa Kibiru..

                      ..see people dressed like butterflies
they come from the sea of the hawk
and move on an iron caterpillar to the
lake of the eagle.. they carry a walking staff
which spits fire killing instantly... your weapons
will be useless when faced with this magical staff..

The great seer advised the people to learn
The pale skinned colonizers magic..
At right time armed with the right knowledge
The land of the slopes of Kerenyaga..
Will be liberated by its sons

The mountain of splendor and mysteries
Where people since ages ago have offered prayers
To the Supreme Deity Ngai Murungu..
Who is all loving and of good virtual
The supreme deity's Prophet Mugo wa Kibiru...
Is office of the chief seer..

Water Tabernacle the resting place of - Managi
The greatest Holy relic and the Box that is the relic

I recap they say Great Chief Waiyaki
Was betrayed by the pale colored..
foe he had called blood brother..
Angry Waiyaki took out his favorite club..

Mathiokore.. it was nicknamed..
Within minutes brains of the Great captain
were scattered on our rich soils
The invaders captured Waiyaki..
Our great Chief and opened his skull

Waiyaki died not.. they buried him alive
Head facing downwards.. Great Chief..
You should have heeded the Great seers
prophecy..

...don't allow the butterflies to enter your homesteads...

Buried alive..
Immortal Warrior king fate

The annual pilgrimage around
Kereenyaga - the abode of Ngai
Goes on each year.. pilgrims
Make seven stops as they
Circumbulate the Holy Mountain..

Of stories and more stories from the land
Where gods.. immortals.. and mortals
Rub shoulders looking each other..
Eye to eye... tales of KENYA

Inherently Good

Being human there is the stronger urge
That inborn desire towards good
Or the diversion towards badness
Our innate inborn capacity for good
Equals our divergence towards badness

The Lord searches the souls of men
Examining intent and purpose
Man is mostly inclined towards evil
No one is good except the father
Not one desires righteousness

The Lord is not tempted by the flesh
Nor is he a son of man in need of redemption
But man is flesh and spirit- the two
Constantly at cross-purpose and loggerheads
Goodness or badness.. choice and circumstances

The I Am Apocalpse

I did behold the vision
one like a daughter of man
singing before the armies of heaven

I did hear what the seven thunders said
said they put on your war robe LORD and go
then go and cleanse the earth with your sword

The Fate of the Fallen

~the dark piece~

For them there is no clemency
As they desired the daughters of men
Abandoning the heavenly abode
They cohabited with the women

They are to be bound
In prisons made of pillars of fire
They are never to receive a reprieve
And on judgement they shall be brought forth

They who transgressed
Choosing the flesh thus forfeiting the divine
Their seed the nephilim polluted the earth
Cleansing was by sword and fire

They taught men enchantment and sorcery
Magic and the use of spells astrology and magic
They made the earth profane and polluted
Cleansing was by sword and water

The world became a desolate place
Out of their teachings and their offspring
Who desired immortal life but killed each other
The cleansing was by fire and water

Banned from ever going back to heaven
Locked up in a deep abyss lest they see the light
Bound up till the day they face judgement
For them the fires of hell were lit

They ask you for supplication
Your Lord knows best...
As regards their affairs
And your Lord is Just...

The Time Thief

TIME THIEF...MUSINGS OF THE LAY..

I awoke an hour past mid-nite
oh what peace everyone is dreaming
made some warm milk cocoa
turned radio on.. tv on
am now multi-taskin..

stolen away by sweet sleep
right there on the couch...
couch potato now dreaming..
dreaming of strange lands
dream tourism is in vogue...

woken my house help preparing tea
she gives me a puzzled stare..
may be the boxer shorts am wearing..
have her vexed.. cud be.shes just sleepy
its already daylight.... already...

partake a luke-warm shower.
no time to get the water properly heated
rushing to the shuttle stage..
boarding a shuttle..engaging the driver.
alighting.... usual stage guru nanak hospital..

the guru ramgaria looks at me... or..
looks at the sky..we call him kalasinga
i ponder what the good guru was thinking..
staring to the sky..
idle thought.. short walk i arrive...

gad gados headquaters....
every one today is late..but...
but the hr ...shes already in..
i say hello she appears not to hear..
i sleek slowly toward my work station

TD B our receptionist arrives late..
we ponder over the why.. everyone's late
come up with the time thief theory
according to RU and TE..
May be the good guru knows...

the guru on the poster
daily trains... trains his creamy red eyes
to the heaven in artistic communion....
the believers in him.. call him-enlightened one
us.... we find all of them weird.. intolerance?..

the artistic guru was there when
the superhighway was built...
when the terrorist bombed a shuttle
when our countries CEO was acquitted
by the imperialist court..

the artistic guru must know
must know.. who stole our time
he keeps looking to the sky
they say hes enlightened..
i say ted.. the guru knows.knows time.

of time thief's and time snatchers
here at gadgados we watch-out
watch out against.. or for
a different kind of thief
who has a very long hand...

She Is a Keeper

She has grace as she walks ahead of me
She moves with the grace of a catwalker
She has a figure to die for from behind
She has me hastily moving after her

I catch up from a close up the figure is good
Then i start my annoying habit seeing flaws
Seeing imperfections where moments ago
I was seeing madam fabulous charm

I notice her nails are bitten and her lips chapped
I notice her clothes are soo much sun kissed
I notice her pretty face has pimples.. mosquitoes
I notice she is not a high class she's mundane

But the spark in her eyes give me hope
Her flawless smile ever so enchanting
Her warm smile completely redeems her
Am won over we exchange pleasantries

Good from far but far from good
But superficial flaws are never
Deal breakers when you know
you found the right person

Engage you will find a gem
For she worth the good guy
If you find a keeper
put a ring on it

Sunday School

Smug little faces
Oily little faces
Sunday best clad
Little children
Listen to the old
Time tested
Tired preacher
Accepting it all
They have trouble
Thou swallowing
Accepting he had
To be nailed for
Their petty little sin

The Practice

Sorting of them daily occurring problems
at our Gadgados human resources office
can be a big headache a bore or hilarious
it could be complicated or easily solvable

many an agent being apathetic to the problem
ends up internalizing a problem.. owning problem
we deal with humans beings.. we agents feel too
the pain the anguish we perceive the distress going
going through our clients minds as we try to help

the rule of solving the problem is don't own the problem
understand the problem and do your best to solve it but
don't become a part of the existing problem by internalizing
but dealing with people you cant avoid making it your own
at times it gets one... too down feeling your almost quitting

you have to remind yourself you're in the service industry
called to help the clients and customers.. its more of a calling
than its' an occupation or work where you earn a livelihood..
many a day you are tested and tested to your limits and beyond
you hold on for you are the pillar of strength at the human resources.
