Death and Dust......

Priceless payments of a life at stake
Desperate trials to live derailed
I cannot see you but wipe you
I cannot take you out but breathe you in
You are a complete mystery to me
You settle in every dirty street
The rich's grave to complete
The beaming lanterns help you glow
And the sun in that deep blue sky
Makes you cozier in the dark, closer in the light
But don't you feel bad...........
They call you their friends....
Though they make you a piece of the dark
That can be illuminated by those burnt forces
Or else you are a part of invisbility
Of that dark sullen unseen Hell
But don't worry
I call you my true friend.....
And you have been my truest to stand
The chair I bought new
And you sat on it first
Otherwise it was a non living entity
But you have made the volume grow
Settle on it as much as you can
I won't stop you...I have a bent back
Make a heap and let them sow
Be a part of light and I want to see you glow
Not the worse half of yours that light illuminates
The misty part that you happen to be in nights
I want to make you my closest friend
Because tomorrow I am turning to you
I am returning to the dust................

A Sibling At Play

I made a sibling play
But will he remember this day?
I made a sibling play
Among the green grass
He sported a smile and did blush
Made me rethink and think again
Will all my effort go in vain?
Twenty years hence
When I would be old
And would be sitting on the old bench
He might be sporting a sports car
Or might be partying in the bar
Or vice versa
I made a sibling play
In the city park
And ten years hence
He might be coming here
With his back pocket full and wide
His girlfriend by his side
I made a sibling play
And 5 years hence
He might be playing all alone
With his friends and other siblings
A whole lot of emotions and feelings
I made a sibling play
But will he remember this day
One day hence
He might forget my weird character
And might be appreciating another baby sitter
Two minutes hence
The joy he has with me
Might be momentary
Might just be a minute fraction of that joy
Of that joy
That would come to him in this life hence,
But for me these ten minutes
Were nothing but a day never to forget?
Were nothing but few moments in the limelight.

Hide-Out

I hear footsteps nearing me
I can't help it but hide myself;
My heart says darkness is closing in to pounce me
And trouble is spreading her wings just beside me
I can feel it and it is not far away.
I hear footsteps nearing me
I close my windows and shut the door
Fear leaps in to warn me,
I can't pull the curtains;
I wait patiently breathing heavily in my closed shell.
Confusion then forces me to rethink
Is the hideout really a safe one?
For I still hear footsteps nearing me,
I can't help it and I know I have to hide myself.
Darkness is taking its toll on me
And when everything becomes numb
I guess I had victory;
I open the door but then it is just too late...

Pillars of Truth

Face, race, pace
The ways of the earth
Much similar to that between falsehood and truth
One has to walk through each
One cannot choose either
But in one hemisphere
There remained some pillars of truth
Perhaps near some shore
Or in some fairy land
Printing some false guesses
I point out my falsehood
But I guess
Were those pillars anything extraordinary?
By any means an exception.
If on the shore
They would be washed by the cold waves
Like every pillar even of falsehood
If on a fairyland
Children would play around
As would be with any other
If in my lawn
I would not even discover them
As happens with the others
Perhaps they are somewhere
In a part of this huge sphere
Perhaps they have the same destinies
And little less achievements
Than those pillars of falsehood.
Somewhere they might stand with a little less fame
Or by luck lame
The pillars of truth.

It Is Not the You

I put the seed
Into my mouth....
Because it is sweet
And irrespective of tears that may fall
There is water alive
A whisper in my ears tells me
I can hear
Another shout makes me hold my ears
In pain, despotic virtues insane
It is not the you
I had thought you to be
Another kiss and you tell me
It's just lipstick..................

October Turns November

Wherever the coldness and the stillness survives
That which precipitates to tell you that moisture has a better face
The sweating and the sneezing all tomorrow’s taste
And when erupts the numbness of another truth that looks so deceptive
Of a thing called infidelity
Then a storm runs through the January streets
To tell me it’s even dark to think too deep
And then this jealous impulse that swerves in the heart
Becomes a heartbeat……..
And then I realize that the promise I made was false
You were always true,
The falsified fact I told you
That you, my sweetheart are my heart
But it’s in actuality,
Green-eyed perceptions that in my heart dart….
