Cat

It is the laziest of all creatures,
It could eat and eat filet all the day long.
Investigative eyes is a feature,
And it will sing to you its forlorn song.

It will avoid you like the plague by day,
Skulking, running, bounding, from room to room.
By night it searches through the halls for its prey,
The hunted will meet its impending doom.

The whisper of whiskers against the door,
Tip-toe, pitter-patter, sneakily creeps.
All at once bounding across the floor,
Whoosh goes the paw across the mouse hole deep.

“Drat!” says the cat, missed the mark once again,
Once more the mouse hunt will have to begin.

Cherry Blossoms

Bursting with fragrance
Popping with soft, pink, red hues
Cherry blossoms bloom!

Owl

Watching with wise eyes,
Gliding through the air of night,
There goes its prey... Hoot!

In God's Hands

I am malleable in God’s hands,
No one can shape me like He can,
He never gives me anything that I can’t handle,
He always knows what He is doing,
No one can compare to Him,
He is the father I never had,
I can truly trust, love, and honor Him,
Because He made me,
He loves me,
And I love Him,
I will never be able to put my heart into someone else’s hands with such trust!
Because He is love!
And I am His.
- Inspired by Jeremiah 18:6

                                                  Jeremiah 18:6 NIV
“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as the potter does? declares the Lord.
“Like clay in the hands of potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

Hope of Life

Hopelessness was drifting in,
That’s when new life begins.
The life is from the One above!
His Spirit is in the form of a dove.
His grace will give you life anew,
His love and mercy pulls you through.
He will always be by your side,
In your heart He will abide.

-Inspired by Psalm 139

Cake

Life is like a cake,
depending on how you bake.
Whatever is you center in life,
will either lead to love or strife.
The center, or cake,
that leads to life is Jesus.
The icing being blessings he bestows upon you.
So, have Jesus as the center,
and life can only become better.
Relationships, success, comfort,
is all icing on the cake.

Bible Verse:
Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled."

Love's Origin

Why do we love?
Why?!
We were first loved, that is why.
By a God so great, so holy!
We don’t deserve this great love,
Yet He is willing to give it,
Willing to be born a human,
Willing to suffer,
Willing to die...
Just to show His great love for us!
What more do we need
to show us that our great God loves us?!
We love, because we were first loved...
By a God so great, so holy...

Never Forget

What will happen when the public looks down on you?
Do you hide?
Do you hang your head in sorrow?
Don’t let it get to you!
Know that God will always love you!
No matter what He is there for you.
Never forget that.
He is always there.
He has a purpose for everything that happens.
Even when things seem bad,
He has a way to work things out!

Anger

Anger why do you take over my body so? Why do you rush my veins and take all sense with it? Why do you make me scream out in frustration?! I am so sick of you! I need to change! Cause I can't change what's making me feel this way...

Waiting

Oh when shall You come,
To take away the strife,
Of everyday life,
Which causes great despair,
We are awaiting for You to come,
But it has been so long!
How long shall we wait!
Our enemies forsake us!
We are moaning in sorrow!
We need our Savior to come back!
For without Him,
ALL is lost,
For without Him,
there is great despair.
- Inspired by Psalm 6

Psalm 6 NIV
O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger,
or discipline me in your wrath.
Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am faint.
O Lord, heal me, for my bones are in agony.
My soul is in anguish.
How long, O Lord, how long?
Turn, O Lord, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.
No on can remember you when he is dead.
Who praises you in the grave?
I am worn out from groaning;
All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.
My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
they fail because of all my foes.
Away from me, all you who do evil,
for the Lord has heard my weeping.
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed;
they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
