Radhika Sanoj Poem
It was the red apple that showed
All the way down to life,
Bare, beautiful, bitter and sweet
To every bit of bite, denied by Him!
Her heir couldn't hide its lustre
That was hidden to him first,
Later exposed
Till she bore the fruit inside
The fruit of love, lust and humiliation
How did it come to happen
That all the various colors got
Combined to a white and black, but no red?
Though the story was thus written
In sweet blood of forbidden fears
She was abandoned to a human heaven, the apple

Radhika Sanoj Poem
Leaving behind, the red tulips
You leave, the unnamed autumn
That showered snowy flowers of silent concern.
Throwing thorns on my heart,
Though it was out of question,
Since no thorns were born of friendship
You listed me in the group of fellows,
Not even to be looked at, of foes...
Alienating my lines of deep, but bitter affection
As we couldn't possess
All that crept in our courtyard,
You showed me a vine without buds on
And taught me to be a less dangerous enemy,
Who could never attack, but only stay calm...
Attending to my waitings, first,
Listening to my words, you kicked me off
The steps of your worries...
You are not to be blamed!
My heart, so silly, the fly to fall in the dark
With its lights burning, not to wipe out the clouds
But to be damp in cries,is the culprit
Jailed are my pangs for you in the dungeons
Of untold revolts, of passion sinful..!

Radhika Sanoj Poem
When will you talk
to me
About silence of
love?
Of a thousand sighs
after
dreams of seas,
Where we spent
Dark hours of
struggling looks..?
Ornate with deep
blue laces
Of unspoken
ecstasies,
Each sea is a heart
forsaken for ever!
Abandoned is a shore
of wild rains
Still they, hopeless
hearts, chant
the tune of waves
Why do the seas
still roar?

Radhika Sanoj Poem
The stars of my light
May fall into a thousand light years
Of darkness, fragmented and solitary.
I will sweep the dust of my love
Into the galaxy of abandoned regards
There it may remain a pang
To beget another planet of life;
A God with a new face!
Tear my lust off its skin
To wrap it in new clothes of passion.
Where is the fragrance to shove off
Blood-stained humiliations?
Silence of sky, you spread
Above the green smiles..
When can I have them
To wear in hot days of passive prayers?
When I die
The mob will hold a star
Without edges, to bury me with..
And you will later find
A star to remember in all Decembers....

Radhika Sanoj Poem
TO NEPAL
Nights of untold miseries...
Daylights of deadly hazards..
Broken logs of dreams and life..
All drag us into merciless sights..
You reside in your rocky palace
When sanguine fingers are stretched out
From rocks and rubbish
And cry for breath!
Oh light, where do you hide yourself,
Away from the cries of torn mouths,
And bleeding tongues?
It was a land of festive flowers
Now the petals pulled out and dried up
Only some moments He took
To decide
where each of us should be born.
Unless it was for us,
Nepal, you would have borne
Me too inside!
Can it be said we are lucky to lie
On the plains of a land
On which Ganga and yamuna played wet?
Still I say sometimes
In grief we stand near you, Nepal!
We weep with you..

Radhika Sanoj Poem
IMPRISONED
Radhika Sanoj
The cloudy apprehensions snarl at us,
The prisoners of a diseased planet..
We are no different nation..
We are alike
White, black, brown..,
All terribly and virtuously alike.
We together creep in fetters,
Leaving Springs behind..
Once we read , "can spring be far....."
Now winter's teeths whiten
Our fragile bones..
Oh my dear, kiss me with a life,
Miracle of a prayer
Driven towards me from heaven...
We all will be released soon,
I hope....

Radhika Sanoj Poem
Bloody Bird
Everything till that moment
was a long dream...
That the bird sang to me,
flew to me,
that its breath crossed my nostrils,
A long awaited
much loved dream
In which its multi-coloured Plumes
Moved around my lips...
suddenly a cloud creeps
Into the skies of its vein..
It was June , I remember
A fiendish sleepy cloud
That could never shower
On its own, mercy...
Where have all the rainbows gone?
I had counted more than hundred
where has the bird gone?
There was a promise in its eyes...
One thing I saw for sure...
Its beak was red with my blood...
