Bloody Bird

Bloody Bird Everything till that moment was a long dream... That the bird sang to me, flew to me, that its breath crossed my nostrils, A long awaited much loved dream In which its multi-coloured Plumes Moved around my lips... suddenly a cloud creeps Into the skies of its vein.. It was June , I remember A fiendish sleepy cloud That could never shower On its own, mercy... Where have all the rainbows gone? I had counted more than hundred where has the bird gone? There was a promise in its eyes... One thing I saw for sure... Its beak was red with my blood... Radhika sanoj
