Where Do I Go From Here

Where do I go from here The money`s gone So`s the wife Need a reason to change my life I walk the streets alone at night Thinking out loud What do I do to make it right Fought the wars a thousand years Too old too tired to care Impossible now to believe in prayer From one corner to the next Like straying sheep I am led Looking for a home A place to lie my head Can`t sing for money Don`t know the beat Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall I live on the street They pass me by Never stopping to speak Just stare and point I am a sideshow freak Don`t know the day No watch to tell the time Very few words do I say Why am I here What was my crime Where`s the man in charge Who do I see I`ll fill out the form That sets me free No ticket for the bus The train ran off the track Click my heels 3 times Show me the way back I`m not alone Thousands of others like me The homeless armies Not invisible Open your eyes and see Are you my savior Any miracles left for me Does God exist If so Show me for all to see Too cold here to be hell No angels to open the gate Walking the streets Appears to be my fate For most of my life Full speed ahead Nothing to fear Could do no wrong I saw the future all too clear Only a fool knows all A wise man opens his eyes to see When the train stops Where will he be Never made plans for the future Thought my world was in place Saw the end of the rainbow As plain as the nose on my face A thousand times a day I ask myself the question why What sin did I commit Who did I make cry No answers to my pleas Silent voices ringing in my ears No relief for the weary Been walking these streets for years My angel of mercy The cop on the beat Closes his eyes Allows me to sleep on the street Darkness is my enemy When I close my eyes to sleep Never know what the day will bring Will I awaken from the deep Nobody to share my covers Alone too long to know Afraid to ask the question Are you friend or are you foe Despair and lonliness My two best friends Breaks your heart And captures your soul These two powerful emotions Take their toll Where do I go from here I see the future all too clear Walking the streets alone at night Obvious to me I`ve lost the fight

Only You

Before the world began Before the apple fell from the tree It was always
you with me A million years before man walked the earth Before I could
see It was always you with me When I close my eyes Only you do I
see The truth never lies It was always you with
me

Home

Tin roofs with no paint Windows covered with bars Faces in the
doorway Lined and covered with scars No children laughing and playing
here Hiding beneath the swing Not knowing What their future will
bring No books to take to school No teachers to teach the golden rule
Always hungry Morning, Noon, and Night Where`s the man of the
house That makes everything allright Vanished one night Without a
word Dogs barking wildly Was all that could be heard Her young ones
now fast asleep Time for her to hit the street Asking for money From
everyone she will meet No longer does she care How many men enter
her at night She is now the man of the house Needs to make
everything Be all right RICHARD FERRY

Favorite Actor

Tough to say But I think the Duke His years in the spotlight Were definitely no fluke He fought the wars Won the west This giant was always At his best At the very end The Shootist And True Grit Will forever stand the test Happy trails John Wayne You were Without a doubt Heads above the rest

I Live On Love

My pockets are empty The cupboards are bare No problem for me Never give it a care No need for food No use for money No dark clouds For me always sunny Our first moment Was a sudden glance From across the room I asked you to dance We danced on and on All through the night In my arms Till the morning light Been dreaming of you All my life MY destiny, My fate, My love Will you be my wife Sorry I have a man Waiting for me You and I Were not meant to be For the last ten years Of my life Can`t change the fact I`m his wife Her eyes said yes A voice said no It`s getting late I have to go Been waiting for her A thousand years Left my arms Covered with tears Our night together Changed my life No other woman Will ever be my wife I look for you Wherever I go The woman I love That told me no I`m a fool in love A victim of fate Our dance together Ten years too late All the lonely hearts Cry out to me Never love a woman That was not meant to be Have not danced Since that night Only with you Does everything feel right I`ve prayed to God A voice on deaf ears No answer to my pleas Been waiting for years Alone for a lifetime My choice to be Hoping one day It would be you with me The world has passed me bye I`m at the end of my life Never will I be able to say Thank you for being my wife I`m a fool in love A victim of fate Our dance together A lifetime too late 12/29/2012

Is It a Dream

A dream is never just a dream Fractured lies and untold truths Fear of
the unknown Infantile thoughts Progressing through hostile
youths A clouded vision of many Every night to be seen This
nightmare that we all call a dream Before we know it In the blink of an
eye Father time is upon us Hearing our pleas of one more One
more Before we ..............
