Bad Weather

Shes got the warmth of the sun
in her soul
her lips are so
kissable
deep in her eyes are galaxies
that will leave you lost
in fantasies

but now she stares at me
with those eyes so cold
and gives me cold shoulder
like icicles
her lips so cold
they froze her
her heart so cold
i cant hold her

I need you like a heart needs to beat
I need you like a man needs to breath
but you dont even understand me

because i crushed her heart
like black pepper
and tears fell down
like bad weather
No you dont understand me

I dream we'll float
through needles eyes
conqure our passions
like revenging tyrants
Mend our frayed
blue wickered souls
and prick our hearts
with the antidote
In this twisted world
I'll love you twistedly
I'll climb the Greatwall
Horizontally
I'll fly from the moon
to the earth to you
And atlast live the refused

But you do understand me

Because I crushed her heart
like black pepper
and tears fell down
like bad weather
No you dont understand me

Revenge Is Sweet-Story

We were cruising around the block
with nothing to do
with no reason
to act a fool
So we made a plot
to hit the old mans spot
Just to knock off
his mailbox

I was in the back seat with a baseball bat
I grabbed the brim of my hat
and I turned it back
I rolled down the window
of the Cadillac
I leaned out to get a good swing
and all I heard was
CRACK

I didn't think that he'd know we'd come do it again
I didn't think revenge was in that man
Now they rushed me down
to the emergency room
It's been three hours since
they said they'd see me soon
The doctor said "oh my God what happened to you?!"
Get me pain killers and I'll tell you the truth

We were cruising around the block
with nothing to do
With no reason
to act a fool
I was in the back seat
with a baseball bat
I grabbed the brim of my hat
and I turned it back
I rolled down the window
of the Cadillac
I leaned out to get a good swing
and all I heard was
CRACK

Now I'm sitting here
And I'm talking to you
How bad is it Doc?
Tell me the truth

[Doctor speaking]

"Well didn't you know?
You broke both of your arms.
Well now you know
But don't be alarmed.
I bet you learned your lesson
And won't do it again
As an adolescent
I did the same dumb thing.

We were cruising around the block
With nothing to do
With no reason
To act a fool
I was in the back seat
With a baseball bat
I grabbed the brim of my hat
And I turned it back
I rolled down the window of the Cadillac
I leaned out to get a good swing
And all I heard was
CRACK

This type of thing I see
Happens every week
Like I said
It also happened to me

Was the mailbox number
123?
Was the house on
Mulberry St?
I bet you learned your lesson
And won't do it again
I've got a confession
I'm that "old man"
I filled the mailbox up
With concrete
I'm glad we had this talk
Revenge is sweet"

Tears In Her Hair

She's lying here
Against my cheek
My tears in her hair

Thank God for dreams
So I can have
The things I can't
have

I hold her hand
I can't see her face
I kiss her on her
head

Please let me sleep
And put my heart to ease
My tears in her
Hair
Thank God for dreams
So I can have
The things I can't
Have
Please let me be
So I can dream

My tears in her
Hair

No Frills Girl

She always looked
A little bit out of the norm
Cruising down the street
In her Geo Storm

One time
I asked her to give me five
Up high
She missed
and slapped me dead in the eye

She wears wears a butt bag around her waist
It's so sad
she's got bad 90's taste
But I guess
I can kinda relate
That's why she's kinda cute
in a corky kinda way

She's inside out to me
She wears her heart out on her sleeve
She's a simple beauty
Do you see what I see?
She's a simple beauty

And the boys may say
There's not much about her on the outer
she's got no frills
But yet she's got me staring at her at a stand still

It crossed my mind to love her
and I think that I oughta
So don't throw the baby out with the bath water

Just like snow globes
and kaleidoscopes
If you don't look inside
You'll miss the show

she's inside out to me
She wears her heart out
On her sleeve
she's a simple beauty
Do you see what I see?
She's a simple beauty

She's got lips like morphine
Like Angelina Jolie
porcelain skin
Like Nicole Kidman
She's as cute as can be
Like Gwen Stefani
she's sweet to my soul
like Nora Jones

she's inside out to me
She wears her heart out
on her sleeve
She's a simple beauty
Do you see what I see?
She's a simple beauty

She's my No Frills girl
She's my No Frills Girl

Better Left a Lie

My means are small
My dreams are big
My life is poor
My soul is rich

Fantasies are better left a lie
Fantasies are better left a lie

This world is gray
Love is a loser's game
Why should I play
and just get more of the same... pain

Fantasies are better left a lie
Fantasies are better left a lie

I loved and loved
I poured and poured
I bled and bled

I pour my love inside a girl filled with holes
she couldn't hold
I poured my love inside her hands
It slipped through like grains of sand
she couldn't hold

I bled and bled
I poured and poured
I loved and lost

Fantasies are better left a lie
Fantasies are better left a lie

*Sometimes we are disappointed when we chase our dreams and it wasn't what we thought it would be. This is about leaving it a dream/lie to stay happy and hopeful.

I Am-Contest

Wisdom over brains
One friend over fame
Love over wealth
Humility over anything else
A slow dance over a fast
The present over the past
Life over regret
A Sunrise over a sunset
A day dream over a night one
Clouded skies over a bright sun
Selfless over selfish
Perspective over helpless
Words written over words spoken
A introvert over a people person
Misunderstood over Misread
Heart over head
Rhyme over reason
Poems over bleeding
I am over I was
I AM over I WAS

Dead Man Walking

Kings of Leon- Pyro
Can be sung to the music almost exactly. I wrote this after playing(for the first time) a card game of hearts and the girl had all the hearts in her hand and was shooting for the moon(to take it all). Its also about getting involved in a relationship where YOU KNOW you will be used but, out of your control, and knowingly, you fall in love with her like every other suckered man.

She's got everybody's heart in her hand
It's just the game she plays
it's just like she'd plan
She takes the best of a man
and then leaves him damned
she's got everybody'sheart in her hand

And I.....'m a dead man walking
And my...... body is my coffin

She's shooting for the moon
It will all be over soon
Put it down, turn it over
she's the controller of you
And all is done in one
afternoon
I cant stop her
I'm amazed to watch her
shooting for the moon

And I...'m a dead man walking
And my.... body is my coffin
And if I......am good and free to go-
Then why... does it feel like death row

What went wrong
Can you tell me
What went wrong
Can you tell me

x4
And I...'m a dead man walking
And my... body is my coffin
If I....am good and free to go-
Then why... does it feel like death row

Nervous- Young Mans Perspective

Im working up the nerve to call her
Will she think its alright?
Well should I even bother?
Maybe another day or time?
Or should I go on to her place,
So we can talk face to face?
Or should I just move at a slower pace

Im working up the nerve to speak to her
Will she think its alright?
Should I walk on over
and use one of my lines?
Or should I walk taller
so she will think that Im fine?
And then, one day she will be mine
Yeah someday the stars will align

And Im gonna tell her, what Im feeling
Shes gonna look so, much as my way

Should I make a move to kiss her?
Will she think its alright?
Should I move a little closer
so I can hold her tight?
Should I tell her that I love her
and pull her to the side?
If that works, I wont believe my eyes.

You can call me a looser
You can call me what you like
She'll see that I'm different
someday she'll realize
While I'm standing at a distance
I'm waiting for a sign

And right now is that day and time
And right now all the stars align
And right now I'm gonna make her mine

And I'm gonna tell her, what I'm feeling
She's gonna look so, much as my way

This Poem Really S---S Contest

Its Monday
I woke up before my alarm
I Left to work early
Going back to get my phone, now I'm late
I had to pee really bad
In a traffic jam
Found a great parking spot
I won't fit
I opened a pack of Starburst
All lemons
I got a friend request on facebook
From my mom
Heard "Macarena" on the radio
Now its stuck in my head
I got an unexpected check
Followed by an unexpected bill
I took a shower
Now I have to poop

In a Daze

When you know, you know, your heart will know
When you know, your heart will let you know

With wide open eyes
and an amazing smile
She stole my heart
all the while
I stand in a daze, for days
I stand in a daze, for days

She puts a fire
in my bones
When we kiss
I moan
and I stand in a daze, for days
I stand in a daze, for days

Her smiles infectous
her laugh's the same
Her look intrepid
with a hot slim frame
She's five foot five
with fiery eyes
Full of life
and her voice complies
You'll melt inside
the skin you're in
She's my love
my everything

When you know, you know, your heart knows
When you know, your heart will let you know

I stand in a daze for days
I stand in a daze for days
