Love Letter

I am amazed by the power of you words,
They seep through my skin
Like ink’s aphrodisiac,
And I feel powerless to stop them,
The mere thought of your hands
Touching me makes
Atoms explode inside my chest,
As if a universe is being born,
A light sweat glistens over my form
As my eyes devour every syllable,
My heart beats to the tune you write,
With quickened breath
I feel it consuming me,
This sexual fantasy wax lyrical,
I fail, not miserably but excitedly
To control my minds dirty idiom,
Where do the thoughts of lust go?
I feel them cling to me
Begging to be made manifest,
Tonight your pen is my phallic pleasure,
Take me and make me your muse.

Rsvp

I write with trepidation,
Remembering the words
Sealed waxen with passion,
The pen trembles in my palm,
Again I feel faint with desire,
My declarations are wanton,
Although I dare not reveal
Such blatant thoughts!
My breath is deep
Likened to your words,
Although I hold no education,
Of passion and love I have
Much knowledge.
This verse is my open heart
Each letter a declaration
Of love’s intentions
Sent on a wish of
Perfumed aspirations
Sealed diligently
With a pious vow
Your muse to
Write as you will..

Walk of Fame

Slaves to media hype
Feeding your numb minds
With news tripe
Celebrity Correspondence
Filled glossy pretence
Lost all feeling of common sense
In there defence, they are paid
To believe in their own self importance
Documenting lives of no consequence
Details scrutinized, laying in wait
With prying eyes, having to go out in disguise
When actually this brings more attention
Did I forget to mention? That was their intention!
Staples and tucks, staple to the diet
Eating thin air, to keep them quiet
Ten pounds gained would cause a riot
Paid to kiss and tell, myths to dispel
And expose the jezebel, cut her to size
Sent to the press gutter hell
Snapped in precarious places
With powder nose faces
Or solicited embraces
Lawyers with sharks fin
Ready to lure in
Unsuspectin’
Paid lucrative deals
Ensuring nobody squeals
Eating into royalties
Big bucks and bigger fees
This addiction, this disease
Once tasted, hard to leave
Brainwashed to believe
This is the only way
Yes, it’s naïve
But when you’re stuck in L.A. L.A. Land
With the good, ugly and the tanned
And your face is your brand
What else are you going to do?
You’re sold out and see through
Left exposed, battered, black and blue
Become reclusive behind 12 foot walls
You don’t go out and nobody calls
Washed up, wasted, worthless
No one left to impress
In your final distress
You consume pills
For imagined ills
Locked up in Hollywood hills
Drugs to wake, drugs to sleep
One to many and in to deep
Found by a maid in a heep
But at least A listers attended
And your send off was splendid
And they cried, even if they pretended
No, not like you intended
But you’re a star in the street
Forever remembered in concrete…

O Sweet Erato

As I slumber
Deep in desirable dreams
She comes
With lyre in hand
Her song is purest poetry
Gifted by Apollo
And drawn by Zeus’ hand
O’ sweet melody
She serenades my soul
Whispering verses
Still longing to be made manifest
Her fragrance compels me
To dream her beauty
And inspires greatness
In corners of minds
Only muses can occupy
Daintily she places myrtle
Around my bed
And rouses me to dance
In her glorious creation
O’ sweet Erato

Lost In You

My hips sway to the rhythm of your heart
Oh, to have a touch so ethereal
That my body trembles
In anticipation
Have you made a pact with my soul?
To steal my heart in exchange
For my utter surrender
For I have no comprehension
No perception
No understanding
This is my predicament
Use me, abuse me,
Love sent to confuse me
Sanctified by some intoxicating compulsion
Lulled into a sweet acquiescence
For which there is no escape
Is this my Abaddon?
Or is this my Shangri la?
This mythical dream is unravelling my mind
All of your breath
Inhaled into my essence
Until you inhabit all of me
In that moment
I am lost
