Come Together

Hundreds of people passing hallways each day,
but how many times do we stop, smile, and show them the right way.
No matter the color of their skin, or the color of their hair
why can't we just all act like we care.

Why can't we all be friends, stop with the cliche
what would you say to that girl if it was her last day?
Treat everyone equally, and help those in need
not stare, or laugh but do a good deed.

Come together, make a change
help each other with our problems, don't look at someone like they are strange.
Comfort, joy, and success it is all we are striving for
so why don't we do it together and stop with the civil war.

We are all the same, we all make mistakes
so why can't we just learn from it and stop halting life with those hydraulic brakes.
Let's all be friends, and works things out
and everything will come together without a doubt.

A Best Friend Like You

More than a friend that's what you are,
since fourth grade till when we got our first car.
You are always there, in times of need,
when everyone walks out and I am the last seed.

I can count on you with my life,
because you are worth more than a price.
Reconnection is so grand,
I will always be here to hold your hand.

Your never fail to put a smile on my face,
a smirk, a laugh, a thanks to God for your good grace.
A heart which is bigger than the sun,
who is the one to help those in need not to shun.

You are the twin sister I never had,
and I can always tell when you are sad.
Your personality, and smile, is very sweet,
and I know our friendship is more than concrete.

You are my best friend, the one I love the most,
who is humble, smart, beautiful, and never one to boast.
I am thankful to have someone like you in my life,
so this is just a thank you, to let you know Ill always be there in times of strife.

One Day You Will See...

I walked into class on the first day of school,
yet to see your smiling face stand out like a jewel.
You asked me what my name was; continued to talk,
and as the week progressed I knew my longing for you would lock.

I have never liked someone so much as i do you,
the happiness you bring to me is greater than a hue.
I look forward to going to school each and everyday,
hoping that we can put our conversations on replay.

You got out of your way, to talk to me in class,
but I don't want our friendship to run out of gas.
I guess no one sees the great person that I am,
Possibly I am looked at like that sorrowful lamb.

Your bright blue eyes shine greater than sky,
and when I am in your presence I get kind of shy.
You ask me a question and stare right into my eyes,
but are you just one of those boys, or are you my lucky prize?

I continue to have hope, that one day you will see,
the greatness that is hidden inside of me.
You are smart, funny, kind-hearted at its best,
but I'm scared that the road to your heart is going to be more than a quest,

You are hard to read, mysterious to follow,
but you are not like everyone else, not even shallow.
I wrote this poem, to maybe give me some hope,
that someday you will realize that together we can climb that slope.

More Than Just a Neighbor

A neighbor since birth,
who knew could be such a great friend,
More than a friend, a sister indeed
She's seen me grow, laugh, and cry and i have learned to follow her lead.

Amazing, beautiful, caring, just to name a few
these are just some of her qualities people call out right on cue.
I remember the days of handball, 4 square, and hide and go seek,
when ringing your doorbell made me look like a freak.

Music, music, music
you have the best taste, and i have caught your contagious flu
Coldplay, Jason Mraz, i am here to "fix you".

The biggest heart of anyone I know,
Your passion to cure is far more than low.
Although we have grown and you are many miles away
I hope you know that I am your neighbor, sister, and friend to stay.

Walking Like a Shadow

I thought you were one of a kind,
one to take me single-handedly like the blind.
You always talk to me with that nice smile,
but i can't help but to think, that you were talking to someone else just but awhile.

We walked to lunch, but you said you had a couple things to do first,
To tell that girl, who you were holding hands with some things reversed.
I really don't understand you, everything you say, I question
I wish someone would tell you to start thinking in your right mind and make that suggestion.

Just you and I, driving down the street and it felt very right,
I hope it wasn't just me but I saw you glowing bright,
Don't deny the trembling in your voice when I asked you a question,
were you not able to make the deep digestion?

I really don't want you to just keep telling me things that I would like to hear,
Tell me the truth, those certain things that you do dare fear.
I am not that girl, who will fall for your charm,
I will always be the one to sense that new alarm.

I really hope that you are able to prove me wrong,
but if not, I know that although it may be hard, I will move along.
You may just be that special bump in the road that I have never sensed before,
but I will not settle for less when I know I deserve more.

Those Little Things...

I try my hardest, but I guess that's not enough
I put my heart into it all, but you call it as a bluff.
Why can't I come out on top,
and be stronger than that traveling teardrop.

I'm sick of the criticism, tired of not improving,
why can't I stop and pretend like I am moving.
I need your help, but i don't want to ask
I'm scared what you'll say when I take off that mask.

Will you help me, or walk away,
I am far to scared of hearing that dismay.
I don't show my emotions, nor do i cry
but inside I am letting out a big, deep sigh.

When will I reach my point of success,
where I will be able to confess, and progress.
All's I want is a little praise,
for those little things in life that are looked upon in a daze.

An Irreplaceable Moment Like This

Those were the best five seconds I have ever felt,
Hearing those words "You are going to be aunt" made my heart melt.
I am so happy for my sister, she is going to be an amazing mom,
Her warm heart is going to keep you, baby, calm.

I already love you little baby more than anything in this world,
Knowing that I am going to be an aunt, makes my life crystaled and pearled.
You give me something to live for, something to look forward to,
The feelings I have for you are o so true.

Just thinking about you puts a smile on my face,
you are more than a gift from God, you are a little piece of grace.
I am counting down the days, till I meet my beautiful nephew or niece,
where I get to see you, a little slice of heaven, in a mini piece.

I can't wait to teach you how to read, and ride a bike,
and to teach you that the greatest things in life are more than a hike.
I long for the day when I get to hear your heart beat,
and to see you and tickle your little feet.

A mother and a father who are going to love you the most,
and to be sure to comfort you and are going to be the ones to boast.
Nine months till I meet you seems a lifetime away,
but I hope you always know that i will love you forever, and be here to stay.

Never Forget

A nino is someone who cares,
One who's love never wears.
A man of wise yet soft words,
who is now a guardian angel flying high above the whitest dove birds.

No matter the distance or time,
I knew you would always be there to help me up that climb.
So lucky was I to have spent this time with you,
those memories created will help me through.

As I pray this night for you, and your life with the lord,
I think about all those who loved you and adored.
Truly you are but one of a kind,
one who the lord will sure enough find.

Always will you be my nino and my friend,
never did I think I would soon have to see this end.
Accepting this will be the hardest part,
But I know soon again I will see your heart.

Playing golf was the last memory I do have with you,
And the last words were saying I love you too.
Rest in peace with the angels tonight,
And soon enough we will all be guided to your light.

My Wind

The wind is yelling in my ear
what is it trying to tell me?
The strength of it's muscles push me in the wrong direction

Like a driver steering through life
the wind pushes everything out of it's way.
The flow of the air thickens and cools,
as Summer comes to a gentle end.

The sun rises and falls each day,
as the wind picks up on its way.
The sea breeze blows upon my face
with a powerful cry. The wind is my road.

I can now see the wind that is leading
my life, such as the sails sailing a sail boat.
It's powerful guidance will take me in the right direction
and lead me to success. This is my wind.

Where Am I?

Where am I in life?
Where might I stay?
alone in this darkness i'm scared
I won't find my way.

No one to talk to, no one can hear
the pain on my face is just but a smear.
I feel alone, like no one understands
the stress i'm going through is trickling in the sand.

All I want is someone to tell me it will be ok
not the voice i'm hearing right here as i lay.
My motivation is slowing, my strive is right behind
someone tell me I am in my right mind.

I long for these days to be over in a flash
when failing a test was just a small crash.
I feel lonely in my room as I think tonight,
I wish I could tell myself that everything will be all right.
