touched your name
tapped a keypad
and frog-like-lilly-leaps
found me
fly-like with
accuracy
after so strong a bound
George Harrison
Quiet Beatle by comparison
Kermit the Frog was one of his peeps
Still his guitar gently weeps
haiku
the poison dart frog
these from the native to tropical central and south america.
No swimming in water.
And thus Prince Hamlet
In suicidal reflect,
Makes his own gauntlet
And by distrust and suspect
Must a murderer detect.
Yoli, woli, polliwog
How do I look to a frog?
To me, he’s green
And I am white
But perhaps to him
It's the oppo-sight
minnows barely swish
pond is quietly simple
cattails stand guard
bullfrog's belligerent voice
a bellow beyond the pond
F riendly little fellow, always
R eally happy and always
O n the look out for a cricket, while
G rinning form ear to ear.
IF YOU COME ACROSS A FROG,
IN A SWAMPY BUGGY BOG...
AND, YOU ARE A BIG HORSE FLY...
YOU WILL GET SLURPED UP AS YOU GO BY.
peculiar frog
on a rock-
reptilian gargoyle
angry wind
sweeps across land-
stumbling bird
A frog weeps at night
noisier than rustling leaves
The wavering heart
follows wherever the wind
blows as one frog weeps along
spring rain
ten-thousand frog croaks collapse
a rain-soaked silence

Laughter of our time
Lips from the frog
Of hearts of sad men
That the world of men
That holds no power
Suffer joyful sadness
Rain just stopped
incessant cry of frog, stopped
a creeping cobra
Frog and Toad were on the road
When they met a Chinaman
He said, 'Harro. How do-you-do?
I nevel see two flogs rike you.'
Her mother was walking the dog
Pursued by a pot belly hog
But in the fog
She kissed a frog
According to Miss Polly Wogg . . . .
on a leaf, sailing
smoothly to bygone phrases
laced with time I bow
to unknown spirits, watching
trees dance in orphic autumn
Habitat: Aquatic
Behold the frog pond!
And beautiful lily pads
Alive. And bonded.

Lunch as an insect in the fog
Flying in a swamp by a log
For a starving toad
Though surely he's slowed
To a speedy tongue of a frog
I live on both dry land and wet sea
A predator better not eat me
yellow banded
upper handed
I’m a poison-dart frog, deadly you see.
there is a cricket
rubbing its legs in the hall
making sounds like frog

Frog sits on a rock.
Swallows a huge frightened fly.
Slips and falls, kerplop!

over cloudy day
lake shadows in somber mood
cat tails hiding
frog takes friendship nap
a bald eagle silhouette
spiders eat their flies
Here lies Rover the dog
Who always wanted to be a frog
Though he hated getting a soak
He did however eventually croak
