April’s magical parade
as French fleur de lis

Like it or not, we live
Like it or not, we die

I am just an April fool
looking for sunshine

From April showers 
Forged for the goose and gander
Mating on my lawn

the ides of March cease
April, May, June, july gone
soon fall will be here

An awakened Earth
Lovely March, April and May
Dormant seeds will thrive.

My bluish-hued
passion for you rising.
Take its  cue.

Green point pushes up
Through seas of grey debris and
Brashly cries out, “Hope.”

Shadows of the night...
The forest sleeps.
An April breeze bestirs me:
It is you.
