FEELINGS

FEELINGS

Feelings,
Masters of my destiny
Lords of my life
Strength of my dreams
Instigators of my actions

Burning fire you are
Consuming my whole
Being:
My heart
My mind
My soul
My spirit,
As you relentlessly
Demand:
To be conceived
To be formulated
To be understood
To be expressed!

A Herculean task it is,
I swear,
Such an enterprise,
For how one could ever
Constrain, you, the unconstrained
And mold you into:
Phonemes
Syllables
Words
Phrases
Sentences
And still retain
Your explosive
Dynamism?

No language exists,
So vast
So deep
So accurate
So supple
As to pay justice,
To your intensity
To your desire
To your beauty
To your love!

Thus, having no
Alternative,
I turn to the only language
There is,
The one that the
Cosmos speaks,
And
The universe alone
Comprehends:
The language of
Harmony,
That we humans
POETRY name
BUT
Even then
To describe you
I AM UNABLE!

LIGHT OF CHRISTMAS

Let your light, sweet Jesus
Into our souls’ crib to shine
Bless our hearts, divine infant
Your love, forever to enshrine!

THIRST FOR LOVE

My thirst for undying love I wished to quench
Drinking from the source of your enviable lips
Few droplets of nectar my soul was able to sip
That ample were though my craving to eclipse!

Pondering

As I ponder my weak bladder, you see.
I travel around the corner from thee.
Be careful if around the corner you go.
Please for your sake, watch for yellow snow.

AN ADDITIONAL REASON

With,

Each breath I take,

An

Additional reason, I find

For

Thee to thank, my Lord!

AS PURE AS POSSIBLE

Help me, oh Lord,

The soul you have entrusted me with,

As pure as possible to Thee,

With

My last breath, to surrender!

Sensationalism or Journalism

(Another childhood or teen years poem.)

Newsprint small talk
in Mediocrity's lead pot
rustles and gossips while,
splashed spectacularly across
the speckled page of
Society's intellect,
a murder making column one
hides the hushed massacre
of minds.

Terse Verse

If you insist
on doggerel verse,
show mercy then
and keep it terse.

I AM CHARLIE-JE SUIS CHARLIE

Fall snow fall,
Over the moaning Paris’ ground,
Let your descending snowflakes a
Healing blanket for the city
To weave
And
Charlie’s slaughtered cartoonists
To enshroud!

DAWN

Light’s resurrection

           Nature’s awakening

                                  Beauty's pride:

SOUL EYES

As my eyes, with age, are losing their sight

And able I am not, clearly, anything to see

My soul’s eyes, in wonder, are opening wide

Praying, my Lord, a glimpse to get of Thee!

SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS

Make, Thy love, reverberate in us with all
Its force, my Lord

So as

Indifferent before the underprivileged we
Remain no more!

LIFE

A mighty river life is,
Where
The powerful waters of
Rushing feelings,
Roaring emotions
And
Thunderous ideas flow,
That
In wonder its source has
And
Its estuary in awe!

SEED OF CONCERN

My Lord,

Give us the will
To overcome our heartless indifference for
Those who suffer

So as

Able us to be,
In the ever-stretching desert of apathy, your
Seed of concern to sow!

DESTINY AND I

Lost,

At a crossroad of my life,

Destiny I met

Smiling, she inquired where I was

Heading to

“I am waiting for you to tell me.”

Was my reply!

WHAT DOES THE LORD EXPECT

The appropriateness of our actions, the Lord

Expects from us to see

Not

The eloquence of our masterfully constructed

NATURE

NATURE

Nature:
Conglomeration of unbounded energy into matter
Under
The auspices of paramount universal Logos
That
The harmonious coexistence of opposite forces
Established
By
Masterfully choreographing it with the help
Of
The infallible divine will
And
Painstakingly interwoven with the assistance
Of
Mighty space and time!

WHEN I AM GONE

When I am gone my dearest friends, please,

Linger for a while

Till

You hear the sound, of my soul’s footsteps,

Entering the door of life!

INDIGNATION

No, my Lord,

Mercy, for their wretched souls, I could

Never ask

Let them burn into eternity for their atrocious crimes,

Committed against humanity

And

Against the law of Thy infinite love !*

fanatics decapitated a father and a son in Iraq. When all this end?
