...."The Wedding At Dreamendon" ~

Dressing the ancient stars amid their anthem weddings attire....

The universe anxiously anticipating these adorned galaxies of, anew ~

Bookplate bridesmaids, with such glittering eyes and broadening smiles

Quickly making their jubilant ways down, the amendable aisles

With a world beholding as, the best of man....

Hearkening hearts rejoicing so, very deeply inside; paradise

Standing at the altar aside, the most beautiful of glorious grooms ~

Wearing heavens luminous harvest moon colours; commencing halos

Visages, as a sparkling fireworks display afore the joys of an innocent, awestruck child....

Immaculate and pristine; these most mesmerizing of scenes

Cygnus, gathered here to unite this day, paladin unto the morn ~

Extenuatings pragmatic veil; crimsons silkened tides now torn

From, the final pages of such history and lore; a candid, jewel leavened door....

Prismatics band; lifting these velvet promises of an everlasting rainbows, I do ~

Sidereals notes of well-nigh chime; sweet music across the blue made skies

Church bells, reaching unto the furthest realms this, celebrations invitation

Come one come all; come as you were come as you are; the brightest star

Making their way through the constellations; jubilee, and all of creation ~

Coterie, disembarking at the depot from a waking moment; neverendings, final destination!?

Another Day in The Poetry Club

It was the day of the wedding of Mr and Mrs Epithalamium they looked quite the Heroic Couplet and full of Romanticism until the Englyn Prose-d the Questionku... ‘ Do you take this woman’ … then in a wavering Iambic Pentameter voice the groom whispered ‘I do not know’ ….Mrs Epithalamium felt quite Dizain and tried to scratch out his Ruba’I, the Clerihew stepped forward to comfort her but tripped over some Concrete and felt like a right Cowboy. The brides father, the Russian Chastushka, grabbed the groom and with a Carpe Diem attitude threatened to Choka him.

The guests all gathered in an Enclosed Rhyme with the best man making quite a Dramatic Monologue, the brides mother had her Hybronnet knocked off her head and the chief bridesmaid had her Kimo torn in the affray. The young flower girls Haibun and Hamd both burst into tears as their Crown of Sonnets were totally destroyed.

The Rev. Pantoum pleaded for calm, then repeating his plea for the melee to stop started making a List of the damage, quick as a Ghazal and with great Imagism he protected the Crystalline glass from smashing into Ninette pieces. Meanwhile the poor bride was in a state of Nonet anxiously trying to get past the twins Munaajaat and Musaddas, her Idyll life had been turned upside down, today was the day she had hoped to change her Name to Triolet.

Alliteration watched while women wept, then stepped forward and with a Lyric in his voice asked people to calm down, he told everyone he had Naat come here to watch a display such as this and suggested they went for a hot Canzone to discuss the next move, Tanka and Tyburn readily agreed as they were very hungry and particularly as it was Free Verse it meant they could eat as much as they wanted. The nearly bride couldn’t give a Sijo if she never saw her ex again she was sick of being Kyrielle to and did not want anyone else’s Epyllion and with a final Than-Bauk stormed out of the club…

Keepsakes

His jazz collection fills the spare bedroom
Music man, you see, was his nom de plume

Our wedding album rests on the nightstand
A keepsake for my viewing on demand

The tarnished silver comb that stroked his hair
Lays on the dresser beside his easy chair

The carnation he wore on our wedding day
A keepsake preserved in a glass display

The love notes he sent are bound in a box
I read them again when life deals hard knocks

His old Volvo still sits in the driveway
In it he proposed to his fiancé

I’ve clung to these treasures, lived in the past
Keepsakes from four years that went by too fast

Comfort they bring as he watches from above
John, my husband, the only man I’ve loved

You Are My All

When on life’s seas I’m tempest tossed,
And my hopeful smile is all but lost,
When I need to survive at any cost,
You are my anchor.

My life is filled with simple pleasures,
My loved ones’ smiles I count as treasures,
When kisses are how life is measured,
You are the standard.

As time soars on and birthdays fly,
My hair is graying, I don’t care why,
My mind is sharp, but not my eyes,
You are my youth.

Love is patient, love is kind,
And to the lucky, love is blind,
But when it comes to love that binds,
You are my love.

Why You

I choose you, because of all the love you give me.
You are my sun when i'm cold.
You are my air when I can't breathe.
You are the one I share my dreams with.
You are the one I can always count on.
Through good times and bad times.
You're the one and only thing that makes me happy when i'm sad.
Hold me tight, like you do your pillow at night.
Why did you take so long to come into my life.
I always hoped and prayed that there would come a day.
When I would find that special love, then you came my way.
To be held by your loving enbrace, that's all i'll ever need.
I do not hunger,I do not fear when you are near.
From that day to now,I finally realized how good life can be.
Because you care, but most of all because you love me.
I pray you understand and know these words I have said to you are true.
Because you are my life and one day i'll make you my wife.
That's why I choose you,To be the one I love,respect and honor.

Our Eternal Wedding House

Even death could not cause our love to part,
This promise has always sounded so right,
These words of hope still echo in my heart.

When they found his body, tears did not start,
Through this strong shock, I continued to fight,
Even death could not cause our love to part.

Stole to his fresh grave with a garden cart,
Our wedding vows I began to recite;
These words of hope still echo in my heart.

I dug with fervor, my body did smart,
yet never ceased digging all through the night.
Even death could not cause our love to part.

To our wedding house we arrived, stalwart,
Just as the porch was kissed by morning light;
These words of hope still echo in my heart.

Blue and cold, he remained a work of art,
From my opened wrists flowed the crimson, bright.
Even death could not cause our love to part,
These words of hope still echo in my heart.

HEY DIDDLE DIDDLE, WHAT'S THE RIDDLE?

HEY DIDDLE, why the Cat and the fiddle
And the Cow that jumped over the moon?
Why they're all here in Nursery Rhyme land
At the wedding of the Dish and the Spoon.
The Little Dog is happy,The Cat is playing a tune
And soon the Dish and the Spoon will go hand in hand
Off on their honeymoon.
The guests include OLD KING COLE
And HUMPTY DUMPTY who sat on a wall
Though he's being very careful today-
Doesn't want to spoil things by having a fall.
MARY MARY QUITE CONTRARY
Has left her garden behind
And come along with LITTLE BO-PEEP
With all her sheep to mind.
SIMPLE SIMON has come with the Pieman
Because they're preparing the food.
And LITTLE JACK HORNER wont sit in the corner
Thinks it might be rather rude.
JACK SPRAT AND HIS WIFE have come for the feasting .
So has THE OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE,
And OLD MOTHER HUBBARD hopes something left for the cupboard
And her poor dog who's at home with the flu.
WEE WILLIE WINKIE has changed out of his nightshirt
And dressed up in his sunday best,
But he'll have to leave early to check on the children
To make sure that they're all at rest.
LITTLE TOMMY TUCKER wont need to sing for his supper.
GEORGIE PORGIE said he wont make anyone cry.
And JACK AND JILL have brought some lemonade in their bucket
In case some of the guests get dry.
DOCTOR FOSTER returned from Gloucester-
Says he hopes it doesn't rain
But he's brought his umbrella just in case
Doesn't want to get caught out again!
THE CROOKED MAN although he's bent double
Said he's determined to dance,
His partner is BETTY BLUE who lost her shoe
Then happened to find it by chance-
Well these are just some of the wedding guests
Travelled from far and wide
That have come along to celebrate with
The proud groom and his dish of a bride....
So now you know what's going on
With the Cat and the fiddle and the COW that jumped over the moon.
And why the Little Dog laughed to see such fun
All because the Dish fell in love with the SPOON.

The Wedding Rehearsal

with her Mother's heels and veil
   she holds his hand solemnly
tells him forever they'll be
... they are five years old

two decades later they laugh
   remember first rehearsal
again she wears Mother's veil
... this time it's for real

When Fate Decides

( ) ( )
)( )( Fate’s Decision when fate decides to bring you love, your heart will fly as lovely as a dove seems as if your soul had reached a throne of gold underneath the rainbow of great happiness unfold
when two hearts cling together as one making sacred vow for a very strong bond for better or worst, ‘til death do as part, in sickness and in health, the loveliest thing from mouth to heart as colorful butterflies spread their wings crowning you both with joy and bountiful blessings applause will be on air wishing you both hope and success as two hearts build a family hoping to live in a home of bliss but when fate decides to bring you love it’ s not always like a fairy tale now just like a tall wedding cake that loses its shape when love is not nourished and nurtured by two people who share
