Best Than Bauk Poems
Burning candle
tells a tale of
pure selfless life
Be such a flame
let your aim be
to tame darkness.

.
when true love rains,
rose moon reigns~heart
thrums strains in stars
His hair online
Looked divine, so
To dine, she went.
She’d been misled
And with dread, saw
His head was bald.
What a bad dish.
Her fond wish was
Catfish instead!
*catfished (a fairly new term for those who don't know of it)
Being deceived over facebook as the deceiver professed their romantic feelings to his/her victim, but isn't who they say they are.
TOO LITTLE
need end this verse
take the hearse ride...
life... terse when free.
PERILOUS JOURNEY
Lay down and rest
do not jest my
friend... test the way.
CLOUDY
Tender the night
the moon bright as
the sight of... leaves

A strong wind blew
Her new hat flew
Onto the ground
she was a mess
people were scared
of uniqueness
she did not care
lived by her heart
knew herself well
people jumped back
friends delighted
family annoyed
followed her rules
lived her own dreams
happy magnet
Making amends
on both ends, is
how friends- show love
Out in the sun
ice cream runs down
someone’s sad face
Fun will begin
once again, when
the chin is clean,
A few more dimes
just in time, will
buy nine more cones!
Ice cream for all
as we sprawl, in
the shawl of shade

Yelled at her ex
Wild rough sex next
Complex friendship
Son's science quest,
insect nest finds;
school's best project.
Saves in his room.
Wakes to doom when
with gloom, he cries.
Hundreds now crawl.
Every wall sports
hatched small mantes.
Goodbye, Sweet Day
Magenta sky
shines at twilight
as I ponder
how the sun glows
though night flows in!
Dusk grows colder. . .
A lone gull’s cry
has me sighing
goodbye, sweet day.
For the Goodbye Contest of Nayda Ivette Negron
Beer dad did pour;
placed on floor but
dad sure full glass
Sis gulped dad’s beer,
Felt so *****… sick
Oh dear, dad’s sad!
Drank dad’s home brew
Age just two, poor
Dad knew - too late!
A true poem about my sister and dad who were visiting his friend Alexis. Dad poured a glass of home brew and put it on the floor - next thing he discovered was my sister had picked it up and drank it all! She was pretty sick and mum was very cross!

Hear My Sweet Dreams
Hold your dreams tight!
In your sight then
Each night sleep there.
Dream on with glee!
You hold me thus
Lets be with care.
Under pale blue moon
Love blooms soon show
in rooms quite fair.
Velvet touch spreads!
On soft beds slept
Love weds our pair.
I think your kiss
Each I miss now
A remised share.
Hear my sweet dreams
We ride streams down
Fire steams our pair!

POETRY FORM- Than-Bauk, 4 syllables per verse, 3 verses per poem.
I wrote mine as a double--never like to be restrained or told to follow limiting rules.
Thus this one is ineligible for the contest I wrote it for.
No disrespect but too bad the sponsor decided they did not want to read longer poems. -Tyr
POETRY FORM- Than-Bauk
Stand up, be proud!
Shout it out loud!
No shroud in you.
We will all die
So we cry loud
And try for thought.
Wrong lane, wrong way.
Death delay, pray.
Cars stray and honk.
Oh, please, cars – clear.
Turns appear soon,
I steer, we cheer.
