A Daydream

What if I was Esther and named queen?
Could I be beautiful, brave, and bold?
I would—at least in my daydream.

Pianos would ne’er need practicing,
Mother would not hover and scold,
What if I was Esther and named queen?

My face would shine with love all agleam,
I would drink from goblets made of gold,
I would—at least in my daydream.

Death would befall all Haman’s team,
Victory for my people would unfold,
What if I was Esther and named queen?

I would ruin Haman’s odious scheme,
Righteousness and justice I would uphold,
I would—at least in my daydream.

Lord, I can just picture the scene,
I would lavish thanks uncontrolled,
I would—at least in my daydream.
What if I was Esther and named queen?

The Lord

We cannot go wrong with God on our side
He is a present help in our time of need
The Lord is our helper, our strength, our guide

In the word of the Lord we shall abide
We shall err not from faith nor covet greed
We cannot go wrong with God on our side

He was beaten for us and crucified
Exalt Him! He’s worthy; fall on your knees
The Lord is our helper, our strength, our guide

The Lord is the groom and we are the bride
Magnify his goodness in word and in deed
We cannot go wrong with God on our side

Trust in the Lord; in Him, your troubles confide
Be of good courage, the Lord will be pleased
The Lord is our helper, our strength, our guide

Whatever the need the Lord will provide
To impurity and lasciviousness take heed
We cannot go wrong with God on our side
The Lord is our helper, our strength, our guide

Worst Enemy Ever

War for the souls of mankind rages
Serpent of old, against God he debates
'Tween heaven and hell the battle wages.

Father of lies and accuser of the saints
Insatiable desire to destroy the human race
War for the souls of mankind rages.

Hidden fury flashes through evil eyes
Thunder and lightning in blackened skies
'Tween heaven and hell the battle wages.

Hungry to devour, he crouches in wait
Spiritual armor he cannot penetrate
War for the souls of mankind rages.

Appearing as Lucifer, he attempts to create
An aura of light, in his heart is pure hate
'Tween heaven and hell the battle wages.

Stand firm in Christ, do not hesitate
Do not be deceived or it may be too late
War for the souls of mankind rages
'Tween heaven and hell the battle wages.
