His Eyes

In my husband's eyes,
shining light beams from his soul
like sirius bright
behind those eyes, pure love glows
the love of family bonds

In my husband's eyes,
years of memories twinkle
and dreams of 'morrows
his eyes are portals to us
his eyes are sexy to me!

No Goodbye

    All the people gone

        not wanting to say goodbye

            next to you i sit

                frozen unable to weep

the earth falls from my small hand...

Time Stand Still Please

.
Under the canopy of trees
               Just my love and me
Gently he holds my hand
               Draws me close to caress
Tenderly...Time stand still please

Beauty In The Eyes Of The Beholder

Lovely baby blues
Your eyes on our wedding day
Years melt and are gone
Age changes outward beauty
Memory keeps the moment

The Lake

    Quietly i move

a favorite place by the lake

             the loons songs echo

                 reverberating my depths

                      imagining you there still...

Nature's view changes
Familiarity seen
Birds and deer tasting
All of my precious flowers
Attacked like the evil one

Dad's barn and garden
Wayne's great carved flower beds
The tractor and shed
Always steady, strong present
Workers, lovers of the land

Dedicated to my Dad and Hubby!!

Stolen Wedding Ring

For years it shone gold

Brightening a lonely home

Left home for a walk

Late hubby’s ring was stolen

What thief could be so heartless

*This just happened to me.

Defending Mines

sun reflects off grass
     the blades shining silver
         my heart constricts
              you are away, defending mines
the front lawn needs mowing

Swinging on a Star

Hanging in the sky,
each and every night above,
a light in the dark
given with a heart of love,
“Semper illic” just like me.

~Semper illic means always there in Latin~

Love You

total enchantment
the time I shared here with you
long past the times, few

The East Coast

We two, hot, muggy.
Lay beneath diamond sparkles.
Wind blows gritty sand.
We snuggle on the blanket.
Peacefully, until sunrise –

Tragic Holidays

  Her soul mate is gone.
Cancer took him from her world.
        Her sad eyes tell all.
Christmas will not be the same.
His sweet touch far from her now.

The New Coolness

the new coolness
resting in the old swing
without him
gaining courage
to rake the leaves

the new coolness
without him by my side
looking ahead
facing challenges

VIEW OF FLUSHING MEADOW PARK

A huge hemisphere,
a lake two and half miles long,
many shady trees,
cars on Grand Central Parkway...
happy kids on swings and slides.

It's very quite here,
people walking and chatting
in the greenest park,
they're safe even after dark...
it's the perfect haven!

Nighttime seems daytime
when lights shine on all faces
watching a play, or
listening to pop or rock...
what a view from my window!

Lover (acrostic-tanka)

Vainness will destroy.

Real emotions, not just sex.

Unwhipped

        everything for you
      everything I tried to do

should have done some things for me,

The Sower and the Tree

O thee, the sower,
who’s sowing but not reaping;
cut the tree? Why not
tend it, nor, cultivate it
near the crystal stream of love?

...that I may bear you,
the sower, who’s sowing but
not reaping, next spring
the sweet fruits, of you and me,
for the world to see---our arts.

First Night Is Sweet

The first night is sweet
Give and take makes it sweeter
For the vow to last,
Love is the answer, mending…
