Sad Song -Tanka

"Marriage after Sunrise"

sunset drunken light
on lavender glass of wine
a long lost tear falls
converts into sleeping pills
dismiss the rain again

Belles on the Lake

Unruffled beauties
float in boats rowed by their beaus

            one warm Georgia day.

        With fragile paper-white hands,
they fold their fans at twilight.

Yellow Roses

It seems such a waste Yellow roses on display In a crystal vase Not to be touched by warm skin Or rustled by waning wind
Wouldn't it be sweet Yellow roses in her hair Tickled by spring air Like an overdue reprise Petals scattered in the breeze

Summer is gone now and fall with her beautiful face Softly just arrives. Spreading joy with her colours And thrilling with her magic. Dorian Petersen Potter aka ladydp2000 Copyright@2014 8.10.2014

                                      dancing like ballerina

                                                down the green mountain

Artistry of Nimkee

Lupine eyes shone coal
Untamed fleece ghastly disguise
A pure soul I've seen
Nimkee, enchanted by you-
Raw beauty birthed by nature.

Thy Earth

Since the time you came
Many from us hypnotized
Amazed by your figure
Can't figure out your beauty
Everybody's praising you

You are blessed by God
Nurturing us from danger
Providing our needs
Somewhere, everywhere we look
Your endless love never fails

How can we pay you?
If our owe is killing you
We become naive
Ruining your life and fate
Hence we earn our selfishness

By hypnotizing
We forget the one last word
"APPRECIATION"
'bout trees giving shade and air,
and the water extends life

Oh you, Thy Earth
Hears our summon to you
You made from vary
Please bring our message to HIM
Extend your life, change our desire...

Looking at heaven
The moon covered by thick cloud
Kiss my face, your light
Yes! Read my mind once again
"I do good things for you, Thy Earth!"

White Rose

Beauty of a rose
It signifies purity
So white as a cloud
Your color will shows great love
Can ease the pain, can ease hate

White rose fill my heart
Your freshness refresh my soul
It gives happiness
To my aching heart that bleeds
Embrace me with your fragrance

The Journey of Beauty, Fourth Generation Born

From egg to pupa and then to caterpillar - its life has started. When squeezed from its chrysalis, the miracle has blossomed. Flitting through meadows, Beauty seeks its nourishment beneath August skies, delicately alighting on a spray of goldenrod. Petal to petal and stem to succulent stem, the monarch fills up on the nectar that it needs for its ultimate journey. For hundred of miles, an orange flurry of wings crosses southern skies. Reaching its destination, Beauty falls to long slumber. The butterfly wakes with one purpose to fulfill. New eggs must be laid because the journey back home cannot be this monarch’s own. For one final time, this fourth generation born flits among gold blooms, reveling in its last days - its measure of creation. Written by Andrea Dietrich (I learned some interesting facts about Monarchs researching for this poem. Click on "About This Poem") Inspired by Gail Doyle's A Butterfly's Trail Of Kisses Poetry Contest

Reflection from a mirror

Reflect from mirror-
Tresses, piercing spotless sight.
Gazing deeply deep
Reflects a fresco figure.
In this euphoria I bask.

Apocalypse

All came to a stop;
Wintry ash fell to the ground
as the sky grew pale;
This is how things should have been -
I couldn't contain my smile.

Reason Men go Clown

Women hair, beauty gem
Hair wet under waterfall
Drenched magic spell
Droplets on Strand, beads of pearl
Hair Crown, reason men go Clown

Women hair, beauty gem
Cascading strands stroking butt
Hair sexier than butt
Hair locking sensuous look
Hair bait, hooking men often

Women hair, beauty gem
Part falling back, part in front
Tufts face's beauty arch
Soft wavy dangling hair arrow
Hair arch, piercing heart's armour

A dance of grass and roses

The Finches

They're singing. They are.
The finches. They sing beauty.
That tree is their house.
How charming! Birds, music, tree.
And the sun, friendly, like them.

Inhaling the Sea

I stand on the deck
Silver shadow that I see
The beauty that paints
A magic, drawn down secrets
In the calm breeze of their soul

Smell the sea and feel
The bluing fragrance of wave
Enjoy its moment
The loveliness that they bring
Let your soul and spirit fly
