This Song is for my Mother

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me cry
I couldn’t bring myself to write it
‘Til this darkened day arrived
A song about old promises
Made so long ago
Created and cremated
Ashes of the words I spoke

Long separated by the miles
Distanced from her golden smiles
Memory of a mother
Shared my dreams and really cared

Long separated by the miles
Distanced from her golden smiles
Mama…
I know I wasn’t there……

For you

Would have placed
A magic carpet
‘neath your weak and shaky legs

Would have raised
A strong west wind
Let you breathe with ease again

Would have bribed
God’s venal angels
Come and soothe your endless pain

Would have vanquished
All the demons
And bring peace to you again

Be the child
I never knew
In a land
We won’t grow old

Be the light
I always loved
Warmed my dark
And lonely soul

Be the girl
Playing games
In a world
The sun won’t set

Be the laughter
Calms my heart
I never will forget
I won’t forget, won’t forget

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me cry
Couldn’t bring myself to write it
‘Til this darkened day arrived
Song about old promises
Made so long ago
Created….cremated
Ashes of the words I spoke

I broke my promises, oh mama
Now you’ve gone away
I’m broken
Drowning in the pain each day

I’m drowning…drowning...drowning…drowning

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me…….

The Empty Tissue Box

My heart was in such pain
I felt like I was going to go insane
I just don't know what to do
And my eyes full of tears that distort my view

I fell to my knees and felt the urge
My muscle tighten and pin needles struck me like a surge
My body was warm and with feelings so confused
My mind felt sadness had fused

I could not conquer my fears
I just sat down and fell into tears
When some close to you passes on
It felt like a warmth has gone

So I raised my hand towards a box that was empty with no tissue
I first was embarrass and had a little bit of issue
All my friends hugged me and said sorry for your loss
So now I cry in my bed and toss

Bystander

As you sit in your car
All dressed in black.
 You know,
It didn’t have to end like this
Now as you think back you remember
The faint white scars etched in her fair skin
And the timid smile that hid years of despair
You remember that time your friends saw her crying in the hall
You sat there and laughed as they tortured her
The times you saw her sitting alone at lunch
She looked up at you with pleading eyes
“Hey, can you help me,” they said.
You thought about it , but instead you pretended you didn’t see her
And you left her there, sad and alone
That pleading look now haunts you
It begged somebody, anybody for help
But why should you commit social suicide for her?
You just kept walking away, selfish
Now though, you think back to those boring assemblies
About bullying and what it could lead to
Why didn’t you just listen?!
Maybe you could have spoken up, or found her help
Its too late now though, as you walk up to her casket
To say your first and last words,
To a girl, whose real name
You never cared to learn
“I’m sorry…”

Empty Boots

The empty boots, neatly laced and, alas, now on display,
Belonged to a gallant soldier who died the other day.
Another patriot gave his all in the service of his nation.
He placed service above self to fulfill his solemn obligation.

At his memorial, the roll was called, his comrades answered "Here!"
When his name was called there was no response evoking many a tear.
His captain presented the folded flag to his little son on bended knee.
The little fellow clutched it closely to his breast - he was only three.

Not only are there empty boots, there are empty arms as well.
Aching arms that could not comfort him when he fell.
Empty arms that once held him in fond embrace,
Will no longer tenderly caress this noble warrior's face.

There will be empty hearts that will yearn forever more,
Recalling precious memories of the one whom they adore.
There will be an empty chair that no one can ever fill,
Though his presence will ever remain with them still.

Can his kin find solace in that trite phrase, "He didn't die in vain?"
His comrades with heavy hearts will strive to ease their pain.
The haunting notes of "Taps" echoed throughout the air,
As the chaplain intoned, "We commend him to Thy eternal care!"

Fallen Angels

Descending eyes piercing the starry nights
Deeper yet, unto hearts of men
Crossing thresholds shattered darkness
Behold, the fallen angels unbeknown to sin

That of weakest appetites malign
As heaven's tears spilling city streets
In futility cleanse what's evil-wise
From beneath, us vagabonds of broken wings

Empty rooms loneliness desperately
Weary hearts for yearning error in love
Far off stares and blank faces, harrow in oasis
And inspirations forgotten, never peering up

Divine light cease upon closing heart
Earthly flesh feeding frenzies
To another piece of faith withdrawn
Humanity continues on and spirituality dies ending

Some pretentious fly toward false sanctuary
Never escaping whispers, persecutions within
Hissings soft, but brimstone in our heads
Countless fallen angels iniquitous deprivation dins

"Criers" define us as the times most desperate
"God, forgive us, please" hollow words that we pray
"The wicked must be punished" God's eternal now and tomorrow
His arms outstretched further still but, where are we today

Imagine

Imagine lakes of dreams
Blood contained streams
Imagine oceans that behold undiscovered beings
Imagine human life depended off of cheers and games
Man design’s umbrellas
And eventually would play a part in acid rain
Imagine not wanting to smell another rose
Or touch another soul
Because of despair and shame
Imagine in the mist of your demise
You have the passion to rejoice and sing
Imagine driving pass shattered glass
The interior is soaked with blood stains
Your mind can't comprehend the fact
that it's a dead family in the next lane
Imagine dreaming for freedom
As a result by your neck you hang
Imagine for the sake of progress
You whip a man on his back and call him a slave.
Rage, Pain, Fortune, and fame
You don't have to imagine this
Because that's what life brings.

Loosing It

  < Early morning,

   Its rainy and dark,

   Quit dull,

   Cloudy and gray,

   Emotions flowing not,

   So dim and sadden,

   Stuck in a zone,

   Feeling all alone,

   Suddenly blacken,

   Now dressed in lace,

   And black satin,

   Emotions flowing all over,

   Yet still lost,

   Dazed and amazed,

   Felt crushed pancake flatten......>

I Can Always Pretend

The cold touch of the metal
On my soft bare skin
The turn out can only be fatal
Ill do this with a grin
No one can ever tell
That i even feel this way
Depression doesnt ring their bell
But i know that this is the day
The day this all ends
The day that i fade
The day i make amends
The day i wont be afraid
Iv hidden it for so long
No ones ever known
Im not really this strong
The real me has never been shown
This metal razor is cold
On my oh so soft bare skin
The move im making will be bold
When i decide to let depression win
My life cut short
My life gone
My life had no support
My life is done
This razor now bloody
With a smile on my face
No movement from my body
My smile not out of place
Lying on the floor
Note tucked in my hand
Please do not ignore
For this is what it read
"I ended it for you
I ended it so be happy
Its what i had to do
I even made it snappy
You were the one
That i chose
You made me numb
And let me go
My life had its ending
But see im smiling
Im still pretending
That your 'i love you' wasn't you lying"

Death of a Love One

I had a wonderful day, what could have went wrong
Went to sleep feeling like a brand new man
Laying in bed, sleeping so peacefully
Two guys walked in unexpectedly
They said wake up, no hesitation
Ten bullets in my back, no explanation
Was this a dream I’m gonna wake up from
No its not, I’m a completely dead man
Why me? Answer my question
I had a family and other love ones.
Now I’m gone, but memory lives on
How about you where do you stand?

Today Is Terrible----

The cracked spine of
the book I dropped
at the call.
A chip in my
windshield left by a
pompous *?#@! in a
red sports car as I
drive to the
service.
Rain expectorating
from an ashen sky as
the dirt is turned.
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
crack in grandma’s
spine from her fall
down the stairs.
The chip in her
amazingly smart mind
after eighteen years
as a teacher.
Tears running,
dripping from my
Mothers ashen face
as she cries “My
mama’s dead.”
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
cracked family
emotions left raw
and empty.
The chip in Grandpas
numb mind at the
gathering… “Where is
Irene she should be
here?”
Faces gone ashen
with dread, do we
leave him numb or
remind him that his
wife is dead?
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
empty silences,
missing the jokes
Grandma used to
crack.
Grandma’s laugh and
her endless smile
which always exposed
that tooth with the
chip in it.
Without her the
world has become
empty, bleak, and
ashen.
Today is terrible.

          Summer

City of Shadows

A lonesome boat in the harbor rocks insanity.
Big waves of the black sea roll across the white sands
that fade into darkness for eternity.
Far from the life giving drops of rain are predators
in the city of shadows.
Feelings from the last solem breezes blow.
As the evening sun fades slowly into the night,
the pavement glistens like cracked glass
from the earlier evening rain.
A lack of silence remains.
In the city of shadows,
screaming voices creep in the corner of your mind.
Visions of the garden where the flowers died.
The dark alley reveals the emptiness of peace within your soul,
and death reveals the cold, cold truth way beneath the black crumbled earth.
Slapped with a strike of lightning,
disrupting the fall of silence where secrets crawl to hide,
in the foxholes of one's mind.
In the city of shadows, bewildered minds tick with the time of the clock.
Breath by breath falls perfectly out of place,
and darkness opens a new gate.
Tunes of the violin slowly fade away.
A new awakening to blindness,
in the city of shadows.

Remember what I taught you

A dedication to my grandpa,
i love you and miss you,
Your legacy lives on within my heart

The sun can shine
So bright, it makes you blind
Fooling, deceiving.
Very misleading .
The world telling you it's a good day
With just a simple ray.
Penetrating your mind
Telling you to leave all that behind.
So you leave it … Searching for anything to find.
To fill that hole in your heart ...with something kind.
So you go for a stroll in a park
And see a dog with a playful bark.
As you step near
You start to grow in fear
Foam in its mouth
You notice your head dropping south
Chin down
And start to frown.
You realize it's not so sunny anymore
Rain pours
No more birds soar.
Drop to your knees
And freeze
Start to cry.
Then wonder why.
Why do I feel this way?
Looking for answers, you go to the bay.
Watching the storm come in, you hear someone say,
"Remember what I taught you,
You have to be strong.
Find the right
In the wrong.
Everything will be okay.
Some days will rain.
Some days will shine,"
Looking around to see who it may be
You continue to listen to the voice from the sea,
"some days you need to stop everything
And pray.
The Good Lord will take it away.
I've always been your strength
Strong for you and yours sister both."
As you realize who it is
You start to cry, from sadness…
And bliss.
"I know you miss me…
And I miss you too.
No need to cry,
Oh Catelyn, oh me oh my.
But just always know I'm here,
In heaven
watching over you.
If you ever need me.
You know where I'll be.
Watching over you from the clouds.
No need to worry.
Don't stress so much.
Life happens.
It peaks
And it stinks..
Given , I wish I was down there to talk to you.
But it's all in God's plan.
Everything will be for the better.
Now I'm sorry I have to go,
Check on your sister and cousins you know
Whenever your feeling rough
Whenever life gets tough
Remember what I taught you.
Rain may continue
Life will happen in different Venues
But go dance in the rain
Let go of the pain.
Enjoy the life God granted you
…it won't last forever.
Don't plan out the future
God has his plan
Live his will out
Not yours
Remember your still a kid,
So smile and I love you Catie did"
Tears rushing down your face
Tears of joy or sorrow
You don't really know.
Remembering what your grandfather taught you,
With his strength You stand up
Something in your chest starts to bump
Your heart, it's whole
Alive
Beating once again.
Pain is gone
And you live on.
Dancing in the rain
With only life to gain.

Why Must It Be

Can I let you go? Will you be okay? Where you're headed now...to a better place Listen to my words of forgiveness relieving this pain I'd give anything to have you back again To hold you once more in my arms, one more day of happiness you now dwell within my heart Your innocent smile is forever a distant memory, and the times that we share are precious treasures that I spend reliving The Shadow of Death Took you in just one breath Why must it be? I cry behind this closed door, searching desperately for an answer, yet all I feel is an emptiness inside... despair haunts me forevermore Why did you have to go? Why did you have to leave? Why does this have to hurt? Cancer robbed thy life from thee... Why must it be? Fly away Angel Child of Mine Trod thy broken paths, roam away, fly and be free... Why must it be?

Holding Back the Tears

Men don’t cry,
Or so I’ve been told
So the tears well up
But inside them I hold

My black suit matches
My jet black tie
I just stare straight ahead
So I won’t start to cry

The casket is not heavy
But my heart is weighed down
I am who I am
Because this man was around

My tomorrows will never be the same
But the yesterdays we had will always remain
As I bid farewell to my father, my friend
I’ll hold the tears inside until I see you again

Don't Cry

Please don't cry over my casket
For I am not there
Please don't cry at my grave
My soul has been set free
I know it's hard not to cry
I've been down that road one to many times

I have no more pain
I have no more sickness
And I would not change a thing
As I walk threw the gates of Heaven
Mom Dad our brothers and sisters
Will welcome me with open arms
Here I am free of that pain

Don't blame yourself
It was my time to go home
This is where I'm supposed to be
Don't dwell on things which you can not change
I will always be in your heart

I will always be watching over you
When that day comes for you to come home
I will be there to welcome you
With open arms
And walk you threw the gates of Heaven
You will be greeted by our family & friends
Who came home before you
Until that day I will be watching over you

The Lament For an Angel

All in one faded-black day (but let None forget) In my arms, her body lay (my life was the price to pay) A tragedy, through the lack of humanly shame (do they know pain) My darkly colleen has to suffer no more (Robert nor do you) Let me die (please hear my haunted cries) If I can not see Sophie tonight (live on with my grey) I'm just a mess of despairing words And broken nerves Another mourning, afflicted sight (through decay, love can remain) Solace, sympathy are just more lies She is all I need Until you decide she is just another sadist's toy My Angel, why did you have to fly so far away My Angel, just let one feather stay My Angel has flown away My Angel, why did you have to fly so far away My Angel, just let one feather stay My Angel has flown away (My body is amortal, die I may, Together, our hearts will forever stay)

Grandma

There's not much to say.
I knew her, know some things,
but certainly not all.

I know how little she put up with fools,
how her cooking surpassed so many others',
how simultaneously sweet and hard she could be.
I know about her smoking,
about her jewelry, her faith,
all these I'll hold close to me.

Every single spark, every star,
shines with such a glow, such a marvelous radiance,
that we can't gaze too closely at it,
lest we cause ourselves pain.
And yet, despite ourselves, again and again,
we do;
because it's not within us to resist
the sheer beauty of it all,
of stories and of life.

A bouquet of tulips for you.
We all miss you already, Grandma.
I miss you.
I know Heaven's got you, taking no guff as always,
making sure we're all doing alright.
I love you.

For Liam

I remember when I was told.
Family in silence.
It’s not fair. The heartbeat of appliances still whining,
I focus on times I thought we’d grow old...
Clouds part with unexplained violence

And our faces begin to pour.
A hundred questions, a doubt
And what else? Footprint in a concrete driveway,
A spark-maker unlit watching seagulls soar
From the soft earth, noise drowned out.

A boy sleeps waiting to wake
To manhood. Creased cheeks quiver,
And what he gets instead are flowers.
Relics in person, I question the ache
That asks why we give rivers

And must move on, while they remain.
Held by the smooth arms of trees,
Swallowed by a blanket of grass.
I ask the plaque what I cannot my brain,
Logic replaced by glassy guarantees

I see right through. He will not rise.
Facing away from a marching sun,
A no longer marching son lies.

Solipsist

Let the Deicide commence.

You're a voyeur at best!
Your vampiric heart is beating out of your chest!
And you have slayed the ones whom would love you for anything less
Ready to consume the final fragments of innocence,
And for you there is no forgiveness,
On your knees pleading, screaming to a tyrant in the skies;
The father of lies.

I will never be enslaved in your superiority
The people agree: jaded of your false dichotomies.
Know: I will be whomever nature intends to be
Apollo and I will share our dreams,
and you will be forced to see
your failure!

I know who you are...
Readily the first to present your scars
Chained by some despot or mental czar
An emotional homunculus in your mind, behind bars
Reluctant to escape - even when proven fake
Your demented mind - depths no one will penetrate!

...And you see me suffering
Not caring of any casualties
Just as long you recieve your safeguard of sympathy
So very wary of the masses and their Anarchy; Liberious ways

Solipsist - Is there no one you can see?
Even if she was presented burning?
Solipsist - Is there no one you can believe?
Even if Sophia was screaming?
Solipsist - Know you have killed and abused me
Imprisoned in your own personal reality

Goodbye Granddad

Gravity pulls my tears into pools.
Im sinking in sorrow -emotional fuels.

Just turn back the time, I just want a moment.
To say goodbye once, to cherish and own it.

I loved my granddad - a man more than great.
Paired with my Granny as the perfect mate.

A montage of memories that rush my soul.
My eyes fill with tears, I'm losing control.

Just keep it together, it's what he would want.
They all say the same, but I stand in front.

Happiness swells, yet sadness prevails.
Like Christ on the cross, with hands full of nails.

Life has a reason, and death isn't treason.
-It's moving on up.. A lifetime's a season.

I look to the sky and say my goodbye.
The time won't turn back, I gave it a try.

I close my eyes and imagine this-
Paradise in a place full of bliss.

World peace in a piece of the world.
Without loss and bombs never hurled.

Snow that falls that doesn't freeze.
Sun that shines that doesn't cease.

A land where "The forever" is real.
A scene where the sick always heal.

Life with infinite love, like gusts in the wind.
Two little doves, with eternities to spend.

God has a plan, fool-proof to the core.
Now Granddad's with him, a reward of much more.

Tainted Butterfly

This is my life, don't you see Pure jealousy has taken over me My wings clipped and my neck broken The demon inside of me has awoken You left me heart and soul for the last time Your words spoken as I caused the true crime My body dies down and the cold breaks me down Once upon my head, now on the ground a shattered crown My lungs seize to take in more air But i tell myself... he doesn't care... I take my last breath and close my eyes My heart says goodbye to the mournful cries They all stand around and look down at me there Some say I deserved it, some say is was unfair An untimely death was one I was destined to behold But this death was certainly... the most utterly cold Hand placed upon my chest and my body dressed all in black The memories of my in their hearts begin to lack Lowered below the ground my body is taken Never again for the butterfly to awaken

Where are you

You flourished and blurred
like a spark on wind

Gracefully and quickly like a frightened hind
in pursuit of light

You harvested through bushy meadows
taken by blight

In struggle with plight
had you lost your might

And gave out
although never you gave up.

Where are you?
For you must be still there.

For I still can feel you
somewhere in the air.

A Flower's Funeral

A sweet flower's funeral
displayed in the cold months
of snowy weather and bone chilling shivers.
A sweet flower burned away, dried up;
buried six feet under.

Oh, my sweet flower,
how you once bloomed with no remorse,
like a madman blooming with beauty
and a glorious halo over your head
shinned with such power and blinding glory.

Oh my sweet flower how you have gone now,
resting in peace in the land of paradise.
Oh, my heart it is weak when I see your face,
of once beautiful smiles and warm embraces.
I can hear your crying out to be free.

Snowing and bone chilling cold ripes at my soul
and feelings of sorrow rage through my blood,
boiling my hatred to the world, for losing your
sweet and ever glorious beauty.

What I would give away, if I could be with you
one last night, one last night together
to hold you in my arms, to smell your sweet perfume
that brings back sweet memories of you and I.
What I would do to be with you,
such romance travels through my heart in the highways
of my veins in my body, love is all throughout me,
and my heart breaks when pictures of you start to collect dust.

My love for you, my sweet flower,
is still ingering through the air,
as I travel and look upon a tombstone
which shows your beautiful name.

Come to me my dear flower,
when spring comes,
come to me my dear, sweet flower.
And bloom once again,
twice as large as last year,
and ten times more beautiful then last year.
Come to me in the first months of spring
in my dreams, so I could sit and talk with you.
I miss you already,
and my heart crys,
my eyes flood with tears of sorrow.
I miss our love we shared.
Long walks,
cosy talks,
warm cuddling embraces
and beautiful displayed in a picture frame.
Now I hear the tapping of raindrops on my window pane.
That is all that keeps me company,
that and the rose you gave to me
and a picture of you and me.
Love is endless, even when blue eyed Death comes to visit
and play a game of chess with us,
we all play our game, my love.
I shall go tonight
in my sleepy slumber
and dream of you in the times of our height in our love for each other.
My lost love, you are gone, resting in paradise,
but never forgotten my sweet flower.

Raven's End

I know that taking my life is a sin,
But you don’t know how much pain I am in;
Death is better than this hell I’ve been through,
God Grant me mercy for what I must do;

My tortured soul robs me of breath,
All I seek is the release of death;
Requesting redemption in the gun I cling to,
God Grant me mercy for what I must do;

I’m considering briefly the life I must end,
Nothing is left but the chance to transcend;
And this decaying body that I pass through,
God Grant me mercy for what I must do;

Raven they named me, but now they are gone,
I’m all alone since they both passed on;
Soon I will see them, it’s long overdue,
God grant me mercy for what I must do;

I beg for forgiveness as I let myself go,
Tears trickle down as I feel my heart slow;
Hopefully now I’ll get to see you,
So God grant me mercy for what I must do.

Funeral

His family pretended not to cry
But both his sisters had no heart to spare;
They said they loved him, yet it was a lie.

The blazing sun one summer day drew nigh;
Its orange radiance it could not share.
His family pretended not to cry.

There was a man in hell beneath that sky--
Discerning now that care, like warmth, was rare.
They said they loved him, yet it was a lie.

All that his soul could utter was a sigh;
The shattered saints in Heaven said Lord's Prayer.
His family pretended not to cry.

Like sunlight, his disease bore down to dry
Emotions spent without concern or care.
They said they loved him, yet it was a lie.

Upon the desert ground he lay to die--
Addiction was much more than he could bear.
His family pretended not to cry;
They said they loved him, yet it was a lie.

A BORROWED ANGEL

                                           A BORROWED ANGEL
SOMETIMES THE LORD LENDS ANGELS TO US TO TEACH US HOW TO LIVE,
TO LOVE US UNCONDITIONALLY, AND SET EXAMPLES ON HOW TO FORGIVE.
WE WERE BLESSED WITH THE MOST PRECIOUS ANGEL HE HAD AVAILABLE TO LOAN.
WE HAD HER TO TREASURE FOR ONLY 20 YEARS, AND THEN HE CALLED HER HOME.
SHE WAS PERFECTLY INNOCENT, NEVER HATING OTHERS, A HEART AS PURE AS GOLD
WHEN IT CAME TO BEAUTY, SHE SOARED UNTOUCHABLE, HER SMILE WOULD KISS THE SOUL
SHE WAS TAKEN AWAY TOO SOON,THOUGH 99 YEARS WITH HER COULDN'T SUFFICE.
AND IF WE HAD THE CHOICE DO IT ALL AGAIN, WE WOULD ALL AGREE TO LOVE HER TWICE
IT IS HARD TO SAY GOODBYE TO THE BEST KIND OF LOVE WE COULD EVER HOPE TO GET
AND WE ARE TRYING SO HARD TO LET HER GO, BUT WE HAVEN'T LEARNED HOW YET.
NOW THE DAY HAS COME, AND TIME WON'T WAIT FOR US TO CONSENT.
SO UNTIL THE DAY WE GO TOO, WE WILL TREASURE MEMORIES OF TIME WELL SPENT.
SHE BLESSED OUR LIVES WITH UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND THE LESSONS WE HAVE LEARNED.
BUT NOW, HE CALLED HER BACK HOME, A BORROWED ANGEL, TOO SOON RETURNED.
SHE IS A PIECE OF OUR HEARTS, RESIDING IN OUR SOUL , SHE'S LIKE A WELL LIT EMBER
ALWAYS ETCHED DEEP IN OUR THOUGHTS, HEART, AND MIND. AND FOREVER REMEMBERED.

The Women

The Women

(for the countless women, names unknown, who bore the brunt of Apartheid, and who fought the racist system at great cost to themselves and their families, and for my mother, Zubeida Moolla)

Pregnant, your husband on the run,
your daughter, a child, a few years old,

they hauled you in, these brutish men,
into the bowels of Apartheid's racist hell.

They wanted information, you gave them nothing,
these savage men, who skin happened to be lighter,

and white was right in South Africa back then,

but, you did not cower, you stood resolute,

you, my mother, faced them down, their power,
their 'racial superiority', their taunts, their threats.

You, my mother, would not, could not break,

You stood firm, you stood tall.

You, like the countless mothers did not break, did not fall.

You told me many things, of the pains, the struggles,

the scraping for scraps, the desolation of separation
from your beloved Tasneem and your beloved Azad,

my elder sister and brother, whom I could not grow
up with, your beloved children separated by time, by place,

by monstrous Apartheid, by brutish men,
whose skin just happened to be lighter.

You told me many things, as I grew older,
of the years in exile, of the winters that grew ever colder.

You were a fighter, for a just cause,
like countless other South African women,

you sacrificed much, you suffered the pangs,
of memories that cut into your bone, your marrow,

you resisted a system, an ideology, brutal and callous and narrow.

Yes, you lived to see freedom arrive, yet you suffered still,
a family torn apart, and struggling to rebuild a life,

all the while, nursing a void, that nothing could ever fill.

I salute you, mother, as I salute the nameless mothers,

the countless sisters, daughters, women of this land,
who fought, sacrificing it all for taking a moral stand.

I salute you, my mother, and though you have passed,
your body interred in your beloved South African soil,

you shall remain, within me, an ever-present reminder,

of the cost of freedom, the struggles, the hunger, the toil.

I salute you!

(for the brave women of South Africa, of all colours,
who fought against racial discrimination and Apartheid)

May God Comfort You During Your Loss

May God Comfort You...

I'm sorry to hear about your loved one passing away.
I know that in heaven, you shall
be with him someday.

Life's adversities are at times hard to explain.
Sometimes, very quickly,
circumstances can change.

I pray that through your loss, sorrow and pain.
You'll find comfort and joy in Jesus' name.

May his arms of tender
mercy and grace,
bring love to your heart and
a smile on your face.

May God's presence bring an
assurance to your soul,
knowing that God is with you no
matter where you go.

Through all that's happened, I pray you will find.
God's wonderful joy, his comfort
and a peace of mind.

On the stormy seas of life,
with God, you shall prevail.
His promises and love for
you will never, never fail.

My Legacy

My ancestors came here long ago
Tough and strong not weak
But somewhere down along the line
Something went terribly wrong
And now I have to sit here and deal with my legacy
Of not what I thought it would be
Not where I choose to be right now
The legacy that’s me.

I can’t escape the past
The memories seem to last
Of the horrors of what has come before
The graveyard is the place
I can see it on my face
My family’s legacy of suicide
is haunting me.

My generational legacy
Is it going to kill me
Or will it just let sleeping dogs lie
And allow me to exist
Will it allow me to just to see
The me that I am meant to be
To live beyond my years
To grow beyond the tears
To handle all my fears
To defy what could have been
My legacy.

Sunken Tears

                                   He stood bravely before me
with a medal of honor in his right hand
and a bandage of agony around his left knee
It seemed like he had struggled to stand,
his crutches lay useless on the ground
I found it hard to understand why,
a soldier in pain didn't even frown
With a voice firm but dry
his words shook me like thunder
"You're now the man of this house"
he uttered like a worn-out hunter
quivering up my legs like a terrified mouse
Drowning my mind through cold ears
he passed his sincere respect and sunken tears

Conspiracy: Who Killed The Easter Bunny

A crowded table, all suspended in shock
The sound of the shot dimming to a ‘knock’
Only silence, except for the marching clock
The weapon still smoking; an anonymous glock
WHO KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY?

Loud cries arise from the elongated table,
Jack Frost is shocked, the Tooth Fairy unable
To speak whilst Santa is checking the stable
For clues on the erstwhile maidservant Mable
WHO KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY?

They searched for hours, called in C.S.I,
Panic set in, would the children all cry?
Sandman confirmed the bunny had died
Batman suspected somebody had lied
WHO KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY?

Guests were quizzed, interrogations began
The mystery unfolded when Santa Claus ran,
Grabbing the pies, he tried escaping in a van
But was stopped in his tracks by superman
SANTA KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY!

Lady of the night!

Your body men desire
It fills them full of fire
They want so much
To feel the touch
The gifts you have for hire.

You walk the streets so dark
Your future bleak and stark
You work for bugs
To buy the drugs
That really hit the mark.

Your pimp is a drug dealer
A professional money stealer
You feel the pain
Hooked on cocaine
He is your true fate-sealer.

You passing nobody to mourn
Thirty years since you were born
You only know your punter
Who really was your hunter
But it’s you the people scorn!

THE RHYTHM OF LIFE

RHYTHM OF LIFE Good day to all the head in casket, Goodnight to the soul in silent, Hi,to my sometime to come friend. How I wish, we all can change our fate, But death will have no meaning But a sticky spade shade. Life, what a race, By sight we face, By height we attain, By age I different stage, Creating a leverage that we may not attain Before we are aged, Ending up our vision, Our mission in the ground cage. Nobody ever love to stop by, We all love to live forever, But death will never, Limited time is we the beholder. What do we call destiny and our fate? We all are in the world of common fate. One day,the writer and the reader, The beauty and the ugly, The leader and the follower, The right and wrong, The poor and the rich, The good and the bad, The cheap and the best, The gate man and the boss, The peddlers and the buyers, All will visit the yard for the cool headed, And never come back to share our experience. Life is our definition, Death is every ones meaning. Let us all dance, but dance for a while, The ground can’t wait, We are only living by chance, One day our time will expire. Life and death, Beginning and end. Please tell the Mr. and Mrs. position, Mr. and Mrs. power, Mr. and Mrs. decision, Mr. and Mrs. intention That nobody will live and will not leave, That he or she will no longer be referred to as IS, But by the word WAS. As we rest a man in peace, We also will be rest in peace, Sometimes by those we think we will rest in peace. Nobody is too young and small to live, Nobody is too small and too old to die. Death, the only prize for our deal, Life a race, death the fate.

RIP Baby "Angel"

Hush little baby, sleep in peace, and know
That one day will all meet, by your
Side will hold you high, until that day
Spread your wings, and be our Angel
In the sky, even though our question
Remains at why, the moment you left
Tears struck our eyes, Baby boy we
Hear you "Tell mommy and daddy not
To cry keep me safe in your Hearts"...
For my Baby nephew who lived 2hrs.

First Hello, Last Good Bye

When I first meet you it was hard to say hello
Over the years we had great memories
These memories will be in my heart forever

The day I heard you died it brought tears to my eyes
I did not get a chance to say good bye to you
Now you are gone but not forgotten

You are now in a better place
A place where you can live in peace
I want to see you again someday

This day for me is very sad
I know deep in my heart I have to let you go
It is hard for me to say goodbye

Dead Winter

I still remembered that night
the snow was heavy and unusually white.
We gathered around the fireplace,
Momma was sharing her Christmas grace.

Daddy went home and brought us presents
Momma stopped her story and away she went
out into the snowy streets
buying us winter treats.

It has passed dinner and she’s not home.
Our stomach started to ache and roam.
Daddy began to worry,
and away he went in a hurry.

Me and Anna were still inside
looking through the window with eyes opened wide.
Then Anna started to cry,
I was still wondering why
until I saw a shadow in the foggy snow.
Anna squeezed my hand and wouldn’t let go.

A squeak, a squeal -
a spinning wheel
down the hill
that’d thrill and kill.

It came clashing and crashing
through the glaciers it went bashing
through our door it was breaking,
left us all shaking and quaking.

We did not restrain
the shrieks and tears weren’t feigned.

Next morning the neighbors came
and told us that momma and daddy weren’t the same.
I followed them and what I saw
with only a glance made me drop my jaws.

There, two coffins neatly laid
“Uncertain causes” was clearly sprayed.
I laughed and thought I just got played
but grief suddenly fell when the priest prayed.
Nobody helped when I fell limp on the floor
as they carried my parent’s bodies through the shattered door.

From that day on there wasn’t winter anymore.
Snow were redder than red – the color of gore.
Their tombstones were always cold solid steel
and if you came close you’d feel:
A squeak, a squeal -
a spinning wheel
down the hill
that’d thrill and kill.

Mile

Drenched all over and pupils soaked
Down, this season, a nostalgic walk
A storm, within, of emotions cloaked
Remnant of treason remains to stalk

Contemptuous breach of a covenant shared
You drifted away to regal sounds
Calamity befell less fortunate, spared
My suffering, apparently, knows no bounds

This ride, in ways, is new to find
Each step drawn deeper, I deign
Tears of heaven and mine, combined
Abridged, somewhat, sorrows reign

Sinking daylight, hopes relinquish
Fading mirage intent on proving
Tranquil drive allures to vanquish
Keeps the undead, however, moving

Each moment spent, not unremembered
Each rise, and fall, is but a smother
And soul, from body, is when dismembered
By the side of you, will rest another

Gene, Gene, the Singing Machine

(in memoriam, Eugene Lawler, d. January 29, 2012, aged 83 years)

--- Note: "The singing machine" is a not so tongue-in-cheek reference to Gene and his penchant for singing whenever and wherever he wished, as well as to his karaoke
equipment and his nickname at bars that featured karaoke nights. ---

You fancied yourself a singer,
and indeed you were.
What songs we heard from you
you had made your own,
and you gave them freely
to all who would listen
(though we were just a few
who were, at times, inattentive.)
Time and remembrance may color
the images you left behind,
and the sentimental songs
you sang (and scribed on silver disks
for us to hear when, and if, we will)
may prod us to recall
your willful, dour demeanor
which could bloom into benevolence
or darken further in stormy sneers
at tardiness, or at perceived
maltreatment of any sort.
You were your own arbiter of behavior
who kept before you expectations
of what was appropriate, for yourself
and for us, the others of your kind.
We were few (still fewer now),
who flocked together on occasion
to celebrate, in quiet fashion,
whatever anniversary we chose --
perhaps your passing date
will become another to be marked.
And your voice, reproduced mechanically,
amplified, may remind us of our loss,
and of yours.

A Hole in the Universe

There’s a hole in the Universe
And I can see it from
My
Hearse

Driving to the graveyard
For one final look

While the mourners
Take photos
Filling an entire
Facebook

There’s a hole in the Universe
And I can see it from
My
Noose

Wrapped round my head
For one final jerk

Because I sent you
Away
And it really
Hurts

But I won’t say a thing
Not a single peep
From a man
Made of stone
And the blood of a
Beast

Sing me one last melody
In that way you did
In a La La so sweet
La La La
La La La
My sweet

Sing me one last dirge
For the body
You once held
In a La La so sweet
La La La
La La La
My sweet

You see

There’s a hole in the Universe
And I can see it from
My
Place

Where the sky meets
The fire

Roasting hopes upon
A pyre

And leaves me

Wanting

One last
Touch

One last
Kiss

One last
La La

So sweet

A taste of perfect heaven

The complete Universe

I once found

In

Your

Baby Face.

Death by Beauty

A smile moves across her lips
She gazes at her crime
A scar across her flesh and soul
To haunt her for all time
She’ll waste away for all she cares
Never stops to use her brain
Doesn’t care about the ones who are close
All she cares about is pain

She wants to be what the others expect of her
Doesn’t care about the self-respect for her
A rose can’t be a forget-me-not
Can’t she see what all she has got
Already?

Never to go back again
She feels the world is at an end
She will never show her grief
Although she’ll cry in empty streetS

She’d sooner live like a desolate mole
Living in fear in an empty hole
Screaming silent wails alone
Content to live in her mental home

A final tear falls from her eye
It hits the ground, it’s followed by
A beautiful body, mutated by hate
A kind word could have stopped it, but it is too late
One two many bricks in the wall in her mind
Molding her demise because her heart was blind
This self conscious being could never have won
For she was destroyed by the beautiful ones

She wouldn’t fight back, wouldn’t respect herself
In the end, she managed only to wreck herself
A rose can’t be a forget-me-not
Little did she know, she had all she had sought
Already

I WAIT FOR YOU DEATH

As you grow, happy moments shrink,
At some day, skin aches when you smile,
These are just ordinary lines, or
Maybe just exaggerated tales,
‘D thought so but no fraction of idea,
It could be real, as real as you dwell in it,
Just like another story,

How a freckled face glance down,
Why arched brows are falling down,
The crow lines of eyes say it,
When it aches to smile,
Wearing it which was disowned years back
Don’t spell or stare or nod,
May face lays as in absence of suspicion

Knot of rope around my neck,
What changed or happened,
Somebody sprinkled dust on freshly painted canvas,
That Blush of youth _with self-indulged soul,
Beauty reflected in the eyes wide open,
Then agonizing hand interfered,
So made me wore this,
The face you don’t look at.

I have told enough, misery loses its grief,
If explained to satisfy that deaf ear,
Let it prevail, the dust,
Let me blacken myself in the stained canvas,
For that is what meant, and so,
Let this veiled face pray, in the shadow,
For the last breath, not for shrine,
Lived in mundanely and so did suffer,
Shall die in that ordinariness too,
If life asked you about my tiredness,
Don’t blame a name but a cure,
Which is desperately awaited, let her know.

A Granddaughter's Pain

That horrible day she heard those words.
The cawing of those dreadful birds.
The pain in her chest found its way to her eyes.
Her breath came out in only short sighs.
Her sister there to hold her hand,
Trying to be strong for the both of them.
The day had come, they knew it would.
But faster than it probably should.
They made as much noise as they possibly could.
Anything to keep away the silence of death,
And as the tears kept falling,
they did their best,
To try and forget this disastrous mess.
But as hard as they denied it,
they knew it was true.
He was gone from this world,
wasn’t meant for it too.
The last words he spoke,
were held to be true.
“ when all the feelings had been felt,
And all the tears shed.
Let the acceptance begin.”
They echoed again and again.

Try Walking In My Shoes

You'll only collapse and fall and tear your knees open,
Shut your mouth, you cant even imagine what hell I've broken.
Blood leaking from my head everyday only makes me lose my mind,
You wouldn't even survive a minuet in my shoes if you were on my grind.

You say you know everything about me and how to live your own life,
but face it tho, every night your left alone sitting with a knife.
I defeated that part in life where i have to do something for someone,
walking around with my "Ex Wife" as if it were my gun.

So please stop talking like you know what you got your self into,
cause if i were you i would open my eyes and pray that I'm not true.
So here it is, if you want to walk a bit in these shoes of mine, go ahead,
But I can promise you only one thing, in the end you'll end up Dead.

Concrete Ribbons

On roads to nowhere/everywhere
white crosses dot the countryside seeking
a final resting place abandoned now to
wait for plastic flowers to be placed as if
somehow this will bring closure to loved ones
who mourn their passing from interstate to ether state
from sadness to glory from son daughter mother father
grandfather orphan to eternal rest.
White crosses maybe one maybe five
returning to death no longer alive.
one brief instant horror to blessed rest
on a cold siding/a concrete ribbon/
a drainage ditch/a nowhere road.
Are they resting there or are they crying
to let them be with others in this clay
state that means nothing.
now the remains of yesterday clinging to memories faded as
the plastic flowers/teddy bears/grayed out names that
mean nothing to but a simple few who will
not let them rest.
Oh my soul mourns to let them free
let Jeanette go free Bill S. on that lonely road
let B.R. road worker lay his tools and vest and
hard hat down Fred S. is a memory nothing more
nothing less/let them rest … we long to be at rest
not be looked upon by passersby who
wonder why our crosses are in the middle of
Nowhere/we are nowhere to be found.
We cry for justice of the past/let us sleep where
we are not where the metal and pain and stench and broken
glass found us …

Grandad's Missing

There's a void, now
Where once a steadfast heart beat time
The soul in perfect harmony with life's uncertain pulse
With those who clambered eagerly in solace or in joy
To scale that mighty pinnacle
The Rock, within the bosom of the family

There's a void, now
But marvel at the structure, the firmness of the ground beneath
The strata richly layered with wisdom of generations past
A fault free seam constructing firm foundations
Binding those within the bosom of the family

There's a void, now
A hollow cavern
echoing the anger and the pain
Trust time; it has no fear of finite elements
The source of unremitting pain
Within the bosom of the family

There's a void, now
So fill the emptiness and catalogue the memories
Harvesting the richness of their meaning
The fullness of the seed sown long ago
To bloom forever within the bosom of the family

The End To A Wild Ride

This is the end of all the rollercoasters we have rode
So dont look back
Because the world is going up in smoke
Just ride along with me
We will find eachother when the light goes out

Lost in a Wilderness
Will we find ourselves again
After we have been blown up into peices
Who will survive?
Who will make it to the end?

The clouds will darken
And the sun will go black
There bombs will drop
And Silence our voices

Would we have found the love
We were searching for in the 60's
Would we have found the peace
We researched in our childhood

Would we have fixed bullying
and told children about Columbine
Would we have stopped the Depression
And told children about the help they can get

Would we be ready when the world ends
Or will we be left in the past
Would we believe in God in time for our ending
Or will we still be selling books on another religion

One day we will forget how to hope and learn how to fear.

Black Roses

This was originally a song...now most of the words are lost in time...
-----------------------------------------------------------------

You were
Always
So ALIVE

It hurts
So bad
To have to see you die

I watch them
Put you into the ground
We all stare in suspense,
Quiet, no sound

I set
Black roses
On your stone
Now I stand
Alone

My Kashmir Burns (Part 1)

I picture Kashmir through lightened KL. News of another massacre darkens my eyes
Winds are thirsty there. They continue to taste the young blood.
I groom myself with exquisite things,
Sipping ice tea in ac room, I comfort myself
And Kashmir burns. Kashmir set ablaze

I can smell the warm blood of beaten corpse
Where from winds bought this smell. Somewhere Karbala reborn.
Mosques are being slammed
There windows stoned. And the black boots leave their footprints on Mimber
Even God judges on evidence
There is one Imaam left now; he hides her daughters in his shadow
A blunt knife in his hands; soon he will sacrifice them to keep their innocence
Kashmir is burning. Kashmir is bleeding
And I write.

Army jeep chases the tracks. To find the associated bodies
They are alive now. Soon they will be dead
From Patan to Sopor, And in narrow passages of nostalgic downtown
Ghosts of curfew
Haunt the houses for young souls.

From the Kupwara cantonments, search lights chase emptiness
Nothing is left now. Search lights can’t see inside the graves
A boy there went missing for two days. His father starts digging his grave.
I put my earphones on and I close my eyes. I sleep
While my Kashmir is ablaze
“It’s me poor farmer’s son. Kupwara’s charm, I feel no pain”.
I see him so alive in my dreams.
He chants songs of Mahjoor from his burnt lips. My hands shiver. He has no finger nails.
I see his smoke tanned skin. Same as that of Khayam’s barbeques
He stands at a distance from me. I can still smell kerosene
“Tell my mother to let her heart become cold. Her heart will not bear my state.
Tell my mother to let her eyes become blind. Her eyes will not withstand my sight.”
I follow him towards his tortured body. He tells me to follow the spilled blood.
His blood has made its own Jhelum. I row on it. Until it gets lost in black boots
The story will turn into legend. I find his body no more.

On the streets silence prevails. Nobody has permission to wail.
Sisters are beatifying coffins while brothers look for stones.
For bullets there will be stones
Kashmir is ablaze. She is wailing in grotesque tones.
In Lal Ded hospital a new born cries: Father register me at cantonment then take me out
Death is recruiting in dozens at a time.
Tomorrow is curfew. Death has no curfew pass.
How they want to identity you. Becomes your identity
People burn up all you identity cards.

Corpse Bride

The braeþ of lyf -- I've Learned to fear
Though, ta'en it was, so long sinsyne
I've wroot my song of skreighs
He tore the lyf out of me
In sooth did she speke this to me - Cassandra was she to me
Wistful - I am no bride to be
Wistful - is this soliloquy of skreighs

I cede to thee, deathly colleen
Though remains - façades of humanity
Angel kind - wicce of my welkin dreams
Casted by the lote of she
Ta'en the hollow Herefro way - ne'er!
Caught with twain
W'ie or swain

Angel dearest so fair - love does not share
Seemed a crux, when eath is lone
I rose for thee - cede all of thy love to me
Or was this not meant to be
Eros's deceit
So wistful - corpse bride I remain to be

Final Plea

Inspired by the untimely deaths of young people I knew. RIP

In a dream, tonight would be my last

and I demanded to talk to God.

Of all the things I've gotten past,

to go now seemed so odd.

"You've taken all my friends you see

and now you want me, too?

Unlike one who pretends to be

I've always honored you."

Those sinners who outlive me still,

all I have to ask is how?

It mad me question His very will.

Why take a good man now?

But God just sat and let me rave

on and on about my worth

and why I didn't need a grave,

but rather eternity here on earth.

Pride let my voice be rather loud.

He never said a word.

I told of deeds that made me proud

and good things that I'd heard.

And when I tired He simply said,

"No doubt your life's been good.

But many younger are now dead

and their legacy simply would

be the song that is never sung,

no children call them dad.

for they came to me so very young

and left the world confused and sad.

Yet now your time has come as well

and selfish thoughts are all I hear?

Your life was full and I can tell

it's really death you fear.

Just remember that you have no choice,

for you all will one day die.

Be strong and with a humble voice

tell loved ones they can cry."

And in that moment I knew a peace,

and I felt a tear well up inside.

That most feared was now the least

as my selfish motives died.

Silence

It makes no sense to
Withdrawals what left with yesterday
Anonymous love...
We await the return of the dead,
Wondering what is it on the other side!!
Yet.. Nobody comes, and nobody speaks to us,
Silence overnight,
Without croaking frogs, without sparkling stars..
Only an abstract panel,
Where the sky with the earth join in the line of sight
Hunger for beauty,
An explosive eager attached to the shoulders of gods,
While funeral prayers embrace yellow autumn leaves..
Then I asked you: do you remember when we infiltrated beneath the scrolls of time?
Ambigous destiny awaits my love
Oh, I got my soul in after life...

UNFOLD

The pain of change as it unfolds
Is oft a tale that stays untold
What is seen is a whole creature
not deep holes in the feature
nor concrete soles that makes his feet hurt

It all begins with a soft kiss
He is walking with a false bliss
Only following in paw prints
But the nature of mom's lips
Is to rob him of all innocence

Trapped in warm spindles of fear
A wrapped life form kindles in here
Four years bound to shingles of moss
Time to leave this life of sloths
Break free like that of a moth
and Rise again like Christ on the cross

Through A Prison Glass

You came unexpectedly, and i was surprised,
you smiled and placed your hand on the glass and cried.
I leaned my head against the glass and told you i am sorry,
i whisper through the phone line, ill start a new story.

You knew i was innocent but you still didn't believe me,
the only person i thought that would stay by my side but you couldn't be.
Mom standing by your side and not wanting to talk,
i got really upset that you came at all cause i didn't want to see you walk.

I needed you, when i was in need,
i was there for you when ever you didn't want to bleed.
I loved you and i cherished you with all my heart,
but before you left your words hit me like a really sharp dart.

You said i failed you,
you cried to me and i knew it was true.
But i needed you to understand me,
but you went your way and upset me.

The glass is now empty and i cant find you even with the fact that I'm out,
i tell you i love you but all you do is shout.
I've lost you for good this time,
so i think i have to do one more crime.

The Fear

The Aphotic rays reach higher
And shame, shade reigns over all
Lacuna, Apathy is all I feel as I fall into the ashed grave
I'm living, the slowest way to die
Elysia, rapture where are you now

What will I do when the flame is extinguished
What will I do when I drown in ash
What will I do when they sing my name in funeral dirges
How can this be all, one short organic vitality
Scares to die, but afraid of a new day

Scared to die, but so afraid of a new day
Will I Ressructe to Paradise, burn in Hell, or lay in Sheol
Is this a there is, one feather, to the dirge
My life so long - my suffering grows
Scared to die, but so afraid of a new day

In all of the ashes, a flame begins
Once again, here I am
Living, the slowest way to die

The Fourth Of July: A Lie 'or The Star Spangled Banner

We clad ourselves in colors as we march,
saluting independence through a foggy dream;
gazing at the night alight with flashes,
sparkles,
and firefly screams.

Rockets made in China, cascade/
to the backdrop of the Star Spangled Banner;
a flutter to the wind blown flags made in Brazil
and "I Love America Pins" upon our lapel;
(made in Mexico).

We stand on oceanfront (it’s owned by France)
gazing ‘pon the open sea,
the port is owned by Saudis/
but at least we stand here free.

Our hands steadfast upon our chest,
saluting whichever freedoms still remain,
those freedoms, their going fast;
and they’ll disappear one day.

We gaze into the abyss of night,
the twinkling tears that kiss our cheek,
immersing ourselves in awe of moment,
before it fades our dreams to sleep.

We stand enamored with this land,
the love that lurks within our hearts,
we celebrate this love/
...in part;

fore tomorrow, standing is banned.

Whispers

The pines, they sadly sway the same,
softly whispering your name.
Your voice echoing through the trees,
with every warm subtle breeze.

The oaks bear an open pallet to etch,
years of love and laughter I sketch.
Your scent airing amongst the leaves,
in me you loved, always believed.

The maples crying, telling the time,
of past adornment, yours and mine.
Your laughter fills the branches end,
my heart is weeping, unable to mend.

The evergreen frowns, wipes the tears,
as the face of the mourning does appear.
Your pride it resonates through the air,
promoting support, you always cared.

Grandpa I’ll miss you every single day,
I know why you left, why you couldn’t stay.
I know when I walk through the forest trail,
the pines, oaks and maples, will tell our tale.

Second Thoughts

Why we always look away
From what our eyes desire to see?

Then we think
‘I should have…’

We look back
And we can’t see

It walked away -
We let it be

Why it always walks away
When we want to give a try?

We look back every day
And we pray for one last stand

Then we think back in regret
‘Why i hadn’t…’
Each time we cry

One day we will forget-
The day when we die

Like the frightened Jackrabbit, I run away from Love

Jump up and down like a jackrabbit
running through meadows
running from what?
Could it be heartbreak,
a venemous snake that hides in the grass,
hiding with fangs ready to pierce the tender skin
upon the tight, bronze flesh of everyday life?
Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye now!
I need a vacation a long way away from the faceless smiles
and ignorance of young girls, who don't look at you,
who don't show you love and respect.
Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye now,
as jumping spiders hop everywhere, crawling eight legs around me
my soul black like carcoal, but my heart still beating
slower this time, not like the days before
and like the jackrabbit running from anything and everything,
I run to seek love and vanish away from the empty voids
that people call, their souls.
Recording a film with no tape,
talking to a woman you love, but not having the guts to tell her how you really feel
Jump my boy, like a jackrabbit, take my advice
tell her before she leaves
turns down the endless avenues of endless dark love
the trees grow taller, taller than you
and you sit there feeling away yourself die, missing out in life.
I cannot see you lose your love.
Say it, say it, Say it!!! Tell her! Tell her! Build the guts up!
Build up the courage, tell her how you feel. Take her by the hand and never say goodbye! Never say goodnight, stay with her till the flight comes in the morning
of the first rays of sun shine through your dorm room take her and love her!
Do not be like me, the jackrabbit! I see no happiness
Reading poetry it makes me sad,
to write of others falling in love and I never finding the one.
People tell me, you'll find yours, have hope
but I am a frightened little jackrabbit
who flees from sounds of deep emotions, not having courage to fall in love,
not building the guts up to tell her how I really feel.
She walks alone, I find my oppertunity and sing my love song
She smiles and moves on,
please tell me I cannot fight anymore.
All I have to say is Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye
I need a vacation
to go to some sandy beach on an island of love
and write and write and write, the same poetry that depresses me
but makes you all fall in love with words!
Fiction about love stories, please kiss me
Blue eyed death comes, plays a game of chess with me
I bet twenty, he bets my soul
Kiss me death, the only love I'll ever get,
besides my poet friends who kiss my ass
Listen to my heart, truely, I don't write of beauty
I write for the sorrow soul, the fleeing jackrabbit
running away from love.....

They said her time had come- Death by insurance

They said her time had come
No place to run
No place to hide
No time for fun
Just an empty vessel inside
Going through the motions
Numb.
Overwhelming emotions
They said her time had come

They said her time had come
Evil coats
She wants to run
She desires to have fun
Not understanding why she can not play
It is now the month of May
Another denial letter
Another denial to get better
They said her time had come

They said her time had come
Why such looks of sorrow?
She doesn’t understand
For there is always tomorrow
Evil coats
She takes a breath
Smelling all of the flowers
No place to hide
Now literally an empty vessel inside
They said her time had come

Her time had come
Her bald head
Just four years old
She looks to comfort from her mom and dad
Why do they look so sad?
Evil coats drag them away
She never got that chance to go out and play
Beep. Beep. Beeep.. Bleeeeep…..
The room floods with long white coats
Now to heaven this little girl floats
Her time had come

They said her time had come
She was just a name
No money, undeserving of fame
Easy for her to be denied
If only the suits had looked her in the eyes
Who is to blame?
Sent to the free clinic
Now dead at four
No insurance
Ooops! What a shame…
She could have been saved
Now two parents at her grave
Once a happy family, now destroyed
Because THEY said her time had come

We aborted the Lamb and Cursed it to Hell

We aborted the Christ a long time ago
What with the successive thousands of gentle fetuses strangled.
Stop stop! Why lament? Let not the wind be rankled
By thy silly bleats and unbaked ego.

Thee killed the Christ
Thee impeded his coming.
Thee cruel beast flaked with lies
O thee daughters of Jezebel’s sinning!

Thee killed him, that young Christ in thy womb
That lamb sent down to our sins loom.

What did so meek a lamb do to thee, predators?
What vice did he depict, O executors?
There, thee shake those cursed heads of thine.
That lamb committed none, but thee went for its throat.

When thee felt it kick in glee in thee
Thee hastened in terror for that mountain yonder
Where thee crucified him still like done on Golgotha,
Fronted by those lascivious Romans in their creel.

Those Romans were of a less cruel breed
For I watched thee in triple trepidation murder the Christ.
I peeped as thy hands pulled it forth from its manger
While that stiletto went cutting and shredding and beheading its soft cord.

I watched thee squash its throat:
A young lamb that has neither learned to kick nor croak
Nor mastered the humanness of weeping.
I watched thee young Jezebel, thee came stabbing. And stabbing. And cursing.

I watched thee as the sun set in the East
While darkness fell speedily from the mist
as the sun hid its head in fatal shame,
While thee with the stealth of Lucifer
Cast that messenger from the heavens two feet below
And again cursed it to the bowels of hell.

The White of Your Eyes

As I look at the whites of your eyes
I feel horror, fear rumbling inside me.

I grind my teeth together when I see you walking.

I fear you, I fear when you talk, shout, when you raise your hand.

I'v always feared you, but no more.
The fear I had of you I turned it into courage.

Now I no longer fear you.
I laugh when you raise your hand, when you shout.

Cuz the only thing I see you as...
Is a dead man walking.

And now your in the ground where you belong.

A Princess In Black

A Princess In Black

A box of dark willow
Upon a cushion of white
Think blonde curls, each carefully laid
Skin whiter than snow
Bold eyelashes rested on smooth cheeks
Eyelids dusted with shimmering gold
Pale cheeks brushed with soft pink
Pink lips, still, to speak never again

Hollow collarbone concealed by flowing black cloth
Black sleeves ended just below lifeless fingers
Thin waist wrapped with sinched elastic
Loose black skirt left ankles and feet bare.

The coffin lid closes
One last tear emerges
Her sweet voice, still ringing
Her soft whispers, still noticed
A princess in black, never forgotten

Revolt

Revolt in a see of blood oh mourner and cast your voice away, the regime will shoot at you
today and corpses will roll. Protest in constant pain oh mourner and toss your body to
the wolves, the regime will fire missiles and the masses will explode. The fires will
spread like cancer and the regime will turn it's heels, fore the masses fight for freedom
and their mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters will be killed. Revolt against the
murderers and let true justice be your shield.

- How dare there exist a being who would drop bombs on innocent protesters and send armed
forces to shoot down mourners at a funeral.

Where is the human spirit hiding in these darkened times? The true spirit of what it
means to be alive.

Weeping endures but for a time

Weeping endures but for a time

You left me
With a hole in my heart
Where your spirit blows through
Creating such a draft
My arms are empty too

I try hugging the wind
It doesn’t embrace me
Or keep me warm
Or wipe away
The continual leaking
From my eyes
Or clear the mist from the windows
Of my soul

I yearn for the sunshine
Of your smile
The warmth of those tender moments
Spring birthed in us
The ability to hear
Birds sing more beautifully
Flowers bloom more colorfully
Our love painted everything
Wonderful

Then you left my side
Suddenly
Winters bitter wind arrived
Leaving emptiness and
Cold, cold days and nights
And vast empty space

They say on cold dark nights
The stars shine more brightly
But although stark with its own beauty
Icy space can also freeze the heart

I stare at a cross
With your name engraved
Dated with reminders of when
Reminding me of how long we had

The sky is fading
Telling me how short
Time is
The overcast sky reminds me
There are
Sad times in life
But behind cloudy skies

The sun is warm and bright
Better days will come
And we shall meet again
Beyond the blue, blue skies
Where Joy is paramount
And where tears are wiped away.

Visit My Grave

When I die,
 I know
You will not show up in my funeral.
 But
 Whenever you miss me,
Please take out my written journal.

 When I die,
 Perhaps
You experience some grief.
That is why I will leave you
My poems,
 Perhaps
They will give you some relieve.

 After me,
 Please keep your smile,
 Please be the same.
If you ever forget my love,
 Please remember my name.

 I know
You will not be in my funeral,
 Perhaps
You will say "who cares."
 But
In a corner of your room,
 Perhaps
Quietly
 You will shed some tears.

 Don't feel guilty,
For the times You hurt me,
 I have already forgave you.
Please do the same for me,
 For the times
I have bothered you.

Whenever you feel down,
Thinking the life is so tough.
 Don't forget,
 For you,
My dead heart is still full of love.

 When I die,
 Please
Don't cry, please be brave.
I know you will not come to my funeral,
 But, please visit my grave.

Boobies

You take life from the deserving,
Strip strong women bare;
Tear a hole inside us,
Til we fear what might be there;

The lives you take are precious,
Though you discard them without thought,
Regardless of who they were,
You leave them all to rot;

You make us fear our bodies,
That which we should be proud;
Brilliant and beautiful women,
You leave off feeling cowed;

The disease you spread destroys us,
Cuts out our hearts and souls,
But the worse thing that you could do,
Is leave us feeling un-whole…

Dropped In To Say Hello

Its sad to see someone you know and love in a hospital bed,
Its sad to see them hanging on to there life by a thread.
You begin to wonder, someday that's going to be me laying here,
But than you noticed that you loved through so much you'll go away without fear.

Seeing an old man on his death bed is a sore sight,
Praying and wishing he comes out alive and ready to fight.
You begin counting down your own days to live,
Thinking about if there is anything else you would like to give.

I been dying for a while now and still in counting of my short days,
I know I can drop at any moment, but it only seems like I lived in a hais.
Who's going to remember me when im gone,
People will being saying look at what he has done,

A monster in discise I will leave this retched planet,
My body barried seven feet deep not six like everyone has done it.
To be further away from everyone they will burry me this deep,
Everyone will be free from this monsterish evil creep.

Take the evil out of this
You’re stronger
She’s stronger and always,
Loving…

The Man Behind the Mirror

Behind the mirror, the man is seen Where on our streets surrounded, Friends Thousands met cold, untimely death With screamed echoes of souls unrest Bullets flied, guns blasted ceaselessly Children dead in their mothers’ arms Father, for his lost son searched Found him only, with parts cut in shreds. Behind the mirror, was the man there? Our Young children, to soldiers turned Educated only in field of war Guns carried, bigger than they can bear Faught battles, of no cause but fear To read or write, they dared not do But to shoot or kill, well informed they were. The man behind the mirror, how did he rest? Our babies, dead while he sound slept In his glorious, paradise mirror he kept Still offered nothing, but violence more Promised, inflicted upon innocents, murder If anyone dared open their mouths to speak Or, if orders came of his seat to render. Behind that mirror, my freedom he took Our homes Burned; our stores looted Citizens, chased out of a land to love Forced into exile for years so many Adapted to a culture so not ours From scratch, we started to build Until bit by bit, we rose so high above Like an eagle, up up and away. The man behind the mirror, for him I always blame The color so dark, on our backs stained Bruises so deep, forever left to heal Visions of his bloody watch, repeatedly, us plagued Flashbacks of dear ones loved, Snatched, And palmed away by cruel, hateful death With tumbled bodies over bodies All soiled up into one tiny hole. Behind that mirror, the man will always be With blissful look in his red, budging eyes Wishing evil gleefully, with a dark smile His laughter, joy, through my anguish I see My heart beats fast, like a thunder sound And the more my hate for him increase Oh how I wish, that mirror came crashing down Then, a taste of his own medicine, he shall get

REST IN PEACE MUM ANN BROWN 18 AUG 2011

MUM ...

WHERE DO I START? I DON'T THINK THERE IS WORDS , TO EXPLAIN HOW I AM

FEELING ABOUT THE LOSS OF YOU... BUT I WILL USE ALL THE STRENGTH YOU HAVE

GIVEN TO ME , SO I CAN GET THESE FINAL WORDS OUT THE GUILT , SADNESS AND

REGRET FROM NOT SEEING YOU LIKE I WANTED TO SO ****ING MUCH ,

THEN THE PAIN OF NOT HAVING A CHANCE TO SAY "GOODBYE" TO THE MOST

BEAUTIFUL MOTHER COULD WANT, AND YES MUM I'M TALKING ABOUT YOUTO HOLD

YOUR HAND, TO SEE YOU SMILE , TO HEAR YOUR VOICE, WOULD MAKE MY LIFE MORE

WORTHWHILE. YOU TAUGHT ME HOW TO LIVE, BUT YOU NEVER TAUGHT ME HOW TO

LIVE WITHOUT YOU I MISS YOU SO SO MUCH MUM, BUT THE LOVE IN MY HEART FOR YOU , WILL MAKE SURE

YOUR LIFE , LOVE , WARMTH AND TOUCH , WILL LIVE ON FOREVER ,

IN ME I KNOW THAT YOU CHANGED ME , JUST FROM YOUR

PRESENCE...THATS'S HOW STRONG YOU WERE MUM I KNOW YOU HAVEN'T LEFT ME ,

FOR THE LOVE IN MY HEART REMAINS , YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO SUFFER AND YOUR

BODY WILL FEEL NO PAIN...... GOD TOOK YOUR HAND , AND MADE US PART , HE CLOSED

YOUR EYES , AND BROKE MY HEART ....FOR ALL THE TIMES WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER,

I WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR FACE.

THERE IS NO MOTHER ANYWHERE LIKE YOU,

NO ONE COULD TAKE YOUR PLACE.

IF ONLY I HAD KNOWN YOU WERE LEAVING,

I GUESS I EXPECTED YOU TO FOREVER LAST,

ALL OF THE DREAMS OF US IN THE FUTURE,

ARE NOW BUT MEMORIES OF THE PAST.

GOD TAPPED YOU ON THE SHOULDER,

HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO KNEW,

THAT YOU WERE GOING WITH HIM,

TO THE SKY SO BEAUTIFUL BLUE.

ALTHOUGH I MAY NEVER SEE YOU MUM,

ARJAY WILL BE BY YOUR SIDE,

HE'S GONNA HOLD YOUR HAND,

AND LEAD THE WAY,

FOR HE WILL BE YOUR GUIDE.....

I LOVE YOU MY MOTHER.....
DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU UNDERSTAND,
DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU KNOW,
DON'T TELL ME THAT I WILL SURVIVE,
HOW I WILL SURELY GROW.
DON'T TELL ME THIS IS JUST A TEST,
THAT I AM TRULY BLESSED,
THAT I AM CHOSEN FOR THIS TASK,
APART FROM ALL THE REST.
DON'T COME AT ME WITH ANSWERS THAT CAN ONLY COME FROM ME,
DON'T TELL ME HOW MY GRIEF WILL PASS,
THAT I WILL SOON BE FREE.
DON'T STAND IN PIOUS JUDGMENT OF THE BONDS I MUST UNTIE,
DON'T TELL ME HOW TO SUFFER,
DON'T TELL ME HOW TO CRY.
MY LIFE IS FILLED WITH SELFISHNESS,
MY PAIN IS ALL I SEE,
BUT I NEED YOU,
I NEED YOU YOUR LOVE UNCONDITONALLY.
ACCEPCT ME IN MY UPS AND DOWNS,
I NEED SOMEONE TO SHARE,
JUST TO HOLD MY HAND AND LET ME CRY,
AND SAY, MY FRIEND I REALLY DO CARE
Mom you mean the world to me
It’s hard to live without you ,You were always by my side
Through thick and thin you helped me

death

Time fell fast
Things became hard
Worries were vast
Lives begain scared

Hopes endlessly hidden
All things seemed forbidden
Days filled with darkness
Lives consumed and left sparkless

Awaiting the doom
Sitting only in gloom
Heaven wept
No souls were kept

Her Final Words

"No." She whispered before drowning into her sorrows.
Her life had been a simple happy one.
There were no pains and no troubles.
Life was life and people were people.
Life was simple.
and life was all about tomorrows.
Life didn't know about sorrows.
Her sorrows.
Those same sorrows that she drowned in never existed.
They were never there, but where?
First to be sad in the naive town of joy.
Sorrow became contagious and what was known as happiness no longer was there.
It was non-exististent.
A meager thought
and a blessed memory.
She tried and tried.
She failed and failed.
Life was no longer hers.
For Pain was her only possession.
Her curse.
She lived and she died.
Yet, her legacy was passed on.
Never was it gone.
"No." She whispered before drowning in her sorrows,
"Save them."

Through the Years

I know I had to let you go
To be with God above
But one thing I will always have, forever
Is your love
It’s been there through our ups and downs
Through smiles and laughter too
Through good and bad, through tears and fears
Our love remained so true
Through the years when things were tough
Or anything went wrong
Together we would work it out
Together we stood strong
Through the years you cared for me
You loved me every day
Through the years when I got lost
You helped me find my way
Through the years when I was sad
You held me while I cried
Through the years, you’ve been my love
My strength, my rock, my guide
Sometimes when I'm all alone
I close my eyes and pray
That God will give you back to me
Just for one more day
So I could tell you one more time
How much I love you so
So I could hold you just once more
Before I let you go
I miss you every morning
Every night and every day
I’d give all my tomorrows
For just one more yesterday
I always knew how blessed I was
To have you in my life
Always I will wear your ring
I’ll always be your wife
I know I must be strong now
For this mountain I must climb
To face a world without the man
Who always will be mine
I know you’re always here with us
Our children feel it too
And no one else will ever have
The love we gave to you
I know you're up in Heaven
And to God, you now belong
But part of you stays here..
For in your sons…you still live on..

Deirdre

Don’t you know Deirdre’s gone? Don’t you know Deirdre’s gone? I can sence her embrace that feels like Tragedy A heart to have, slipped beneath the waves The dark pulse now beckons us closer How many days will this passion bleed away? We will be the ones left to blame Beware we’ve become their prey They say you’re addicted to your pain A lifeless cold barren soul left to die in the rain A whisper too close to the edge A call from the dark Brings out a saving spark An Exodus from her Pain Her Life Spent breathing in Shame A Shadow Call breaks the Silence Am I the one to blame? Don't you know Deirdre's gone? Don't you know Deirdre never said wrong? Don't you know Deirdre's gone? “My Decadence was just for you Though you’d never care what I’ve been through Enter the world were empathy is clandestine A world created by you, just for me What’s Lying in my heart is why You want to through the stone” I call your name towards nightfall’s reign But they take you so far away A dark angel so divine Cursed by Eden’s heart I will avenge every tear An Exodus from her Pain Her Life Spent breathing in Shame A Shadow Call breaks the Silence Am I the one to blame? Don't you know Deirdre's gone? Don't you know Deirdre never said wrong? Don't you know Deirdre's gone? Don’t you know Deirdre’s gone? Don’t you know Deirdre’s gone?

If I die before I wake

As I die he will be with me,
I fell in love he had the key,
And always knelt on one knee.

My last thoughts are of him,
As the lights go dim,
Life circling on a rim.

All at once we are apart,
The taste is so tart,
It all hits me in the heart.

You are left to live,
My heart your captive,
There is nothing to forgive.

My cheeks blush so shy,
With a tear in my eye,
As I start to die.

Fear not for I am well,
As many up here can tell,
It is not quite hell.

As I look from above,
kissing the forehead of my love,
I wonder what he dreams of.

I look at him so fondly,
his lips curve so grandly,
as he sleeps so soundly.

I'm like a hummingbird fluttering over his bed,
I wish to be with him but I am dead,
My life over and has fled.

I fear for my love for he is kind,
Strong handsome and well lined,
But now I leave him way behind.

Finding love is like a quiz,
Never knowing what it is,
He needs love from a heart as strong as his.

The Buchenwald cat

a couple is walking ‘hand in hand'
on historical grounds

they're not talking
in disbelief of what invisible
yet so present

overwhelmed by the deadly silence
of the spirit
of hundreds of thousands
passing by also
so long ago in an eternal way

moved
by exhibited drawings
miniatures of art
by witnesses back then

only the sound of countless stones
under their feet cracking
each representing
the forceful presence
of whom once were here

even the birds left the area
only a black-and-white cat
living another one
of his endless lives
coincidentally or not on this spot
sneaks
also in silence
with his body
crawling us
telling us
so much more

Crying Magnolias

When my heart is caving in and I feel all alone,
I wake up in the morning so far away from home.
When my soul is crying out and I feel like I'm lost,
I'll hold my head up proud so I will pay the cost.
So life won't pass me by, I'll live while I can.
Make the best of days gone by, wish I could hold in my hands,
my magnolias crying in the rain.
Wish I could catch the drops that fall.
Instead I remain so far away from home.

When I'm crying out for life,
I'll hold my dreams I have in store.
Even though it seems I can't get my foot in the door.
And though I'll pay the price,
because I've sacrificed.
Soon I'll return again one day,
under Louisiana blue sky,
just so I could hold my,
magnolias crying in the rain.
Wish I could catch the drops that fall,
but instead I remain far away from home.

You gave me your hand to hold.
You kept me warm when I was cold.
So when my dreams unfold,
I'll be back to hold,
my magnolias crying in the rain,
so I can catch the drops that fall,
and no longer remain,
so far away from home.

The Murder Of One Lead To Another

The Murder Of One Lead To Another

My death caused yours. I left without a fight like I had all those times before. Murder by my own self-indulgence. Looking how I had left you to your own devices, if I would had known that would be the cause of your death would I have been less self centered? Can you hear me singing to you as you slit your wrist and separate soul and body? Slowly slipping away as I sing the song of the 7 veils. I yearned for you, as you loved for me could we be the most perfect couple to die for selfish wish. What fools we are leaving this world just for a death we know nothing of.
Stop! Return! Don’t leave me just yet! Are the words I hear as I return to living breathing state, I was returned back to this world? For you I could live on, for you I could die by your side, for you I would make you live forever with me. I was murder, you slit your wrist but in the moment of leaving this world we both was called back by the body we left behind. We came back hand and hand together to stay side by side. I was murder you slit your wrist, but in that last moment I came back for you and you came back for me. Did you see it our nearly over soul ready to be devoured and consumed by our greed?
I was murder, as you slit your wrist. We tried to destroy our suffering and we nearly destroyed our bond. My death led to your death but in our final moment we were called back to this unforgivable world. Murder by self-indulgence, suicide of a broken heart, which was our ways out of this world. Thank you for calling me back.

What You Did To My Heart

the chains and walls that where holding my heart steady are now compressing it,
this feeling is unbearable, what in Gods green earth do you think your doing?
Are you really that blind that i am lost without you,
cant you see that im falling apart here without you?

This is such bullshit, what your doing to me,
what did i do to deserve this?

All i did was give you a talk, i didnt go off on you or nothing,
i was calm and just wanted to talk, but i see that you took it the wrong way.
i dont know what to do with myself right now,
this heart of mine went through way to much for me to be going through this again.

and you know that, dont you?

I dont deserve to be treated like this, i didnt do anything wrong,
all i did was talk, so now i guess its your turn to talk.

SPEAK.

Darkness

Darkness is like my mirror Shattered like blackened glass Reflecting broken bits of me As hours, days and years go past Darkness is like a fiery mess Endless, cold and without mercy Coals and ashes, shriveled up Tomorrow remains unseen Light seems to burn my world From the dullest of all dull candles Like touching a golden ember Its splendour you cannot handle Darkness is a force of life The only one I’ve ever known I’m scared of what I do not know And what I do not understand Darkness is like an old friend Lingering, forever remembered The darkest of all my days were bright From you my light emerged I cannot think of a time well spent That didn’t include you in it A world so unforgiving One in which we did not fit Darkness is a battle Not to be won but only to lose You fight for everything you love And get defeated at the time they choose Darkness is a house Standing alone and desolate No one wants to live there Doing so fills them with hate Blackness is a colour A shade of the darkest emotion The feeling you get when you feel empty Just going through the motions Black is endless and cold And all I’ve ever known But I cannot tear myself away For fond of it I’ve grown

I'm Always Around

I'm Always Around
by BJ Welsh

I'm not near, but I'm really not so far
If you look up I'll be the brightest star
Looking down upon God's project earth
Watching and waiting for a rebirth
When you speak I will always listen
My points will seem to shine and glisten
Giving you guidance when things seem tough
Steady now it may be rough
When we meet again someday
Be it there or far away

I'm here for now and always will
Never escaping, did you feel that chill?
My spirit wind brushed by your side
Or the soft, gentle wave pushed by the sea tide
When we meet again someday
Be it there or far away

You've given me hope and reason to breath
It's not yet time for me to leave
I'm that fluttering seagull upon the sands
Maybe I'm the reason for you to dance
When we meet again someday
Be it near or far away

Death's Door

Death is a time where people will never breathe
We can’t talk or walk and even squawk about our lives that we lead

What do you suppose is behind deaths door?
I’m just wondering, because eventually is going to come to us all
Should we be scare? Or fight for it, not to happen? Or just let it be?
Has anyone thought about Death, like me?

Death has come for two people I had a chance to know on, 02/02/12;
however, this was a week ago.
Do you think they knew?

Some people may not know, when it’s time for them to go,
therefore; we should ask JESUS CHIRST to come into our lives
and be prepared for that day

So, when death wants to knock on our door
We can open it up and say I’m ready, let’s go,
and see that place called Heaven’s Tour

Situations

It's a complicated situation that I'm facing.
Between broken dreams and death planning conversations.
Constantly asking myself why I feel out of Gods hands into the arms of satin.
Praying for life after death but deep down questioning continuation.
I weary from all the back stabbing and sins and it mostly generates from my
family and friends.
Please lord tell me will this pain every end.
Can I ever walk with you and make Amen’s?
Cause only you can ever know where my soul really been.
The devils getting closer and he is coming in the forms of many men.
I hate to say it but I opened up the doors and let them in.
They pass me the weed and beer to through off my concentration.
Go to job interviews the next day say words but don't know the pronunciation.
By DNA have a father but mentally there is no relation.
It's sad to say it's darker by the day.
It took two buildings to fall before the nation united and prayed.
After the fact Mr. Bush send eighteen year old to Iraq to be living in their last days.
These are my situations

but you do it to overpower the pain
not strong enough to stay away from it
you would die without it
in its presence your heart knows no shame
even if you try to win the fight
your heart will overrule your mind
Theres nothing you can do
its chained to you
you cant get free
look what this drug did to you

LIFE

Two hearts beat, now beating faster; beating until they're one
Two souls breathe, now breathing deeper; breathing until they're done
Two lovers see forever, and forever is where they run
One child comes home tomorrow for life has just begun

Even when the rainbow's glowing, the skies can seem so gray
Even when the wind's not blowing, the tides can turn your way
And when the water's raging, beneath skies that seem so blue
It's just your body aging, and it has nothing to do with you

So now when our God comes calling, I'll hold your hand and stroke your hair
Yes, as snowflakes start falling, I will look for you everywhere
And Mother, as you start flying, remember as you rise above
Marlene, you are not dying, but finding everlasting love

One child goes home tomorrow to embrace the Father and the Son
One child who knows no sorrow, for life has just begun

The Bird that is Loved and Loathed

It burns and it stings.
It hurts.
More than drowning beneath
the ice.
More than remaining in a
kindled flame
She hits and I no longer cry.
Why mother, why?

It burned and it stung.
The markings remained,
returned, and were relived
Looking, loving, and little
known loathing were the known
ways of living.
Never was their pity for the
child that cried
Never was their relief for the
child that tried

You were that lovely bird that
understood the complications of
felicity
Nothing looked the same in
those dewy browns of yours.
My everbeating would cry tears
of joy.
The others-they were yet to
appear.
Caring Mother, o' so fair
 You were that beautiful bird
filled with care.

The others came and were not
alone. Their two suitors sat on
the throne.
Rampage and rage why did you
come?
I began to wither and wither
slumping along. So very soon I-
the child of fines- became a
human raceme.
The droops of the Lily of the
Valley became the slumping of
my heart.
My lovely bird the enemy had
taken you and the person you
were is far from near.
For that divine nature left its
intricate self and you became
irretrievable my big bird.
All of your fairness died.
With that went my pride.

Mother, Mother what moved
you so?
Your intense spirt vanished only
to supplement a monster.
Mother, Monster and your tar
filled lungs.
How did I kill that liver that was
so, so strong?
The lesson of pain was one you
came to learn.
My darling bird why did you
turn?

My lovely bird and your big
brown eyes
I'll tell you once, but never
twice.
Pain is only a flower for it
blooms and dies
And a mistake can be killed as
quickly as lice.
You dear bird hurt me well.
Though, haven't you heard?
Weakness is a souls greatest
strength.
You brought me up, then you
brought me down.
You haved helped, hurt, and
hindered my blazing spirit.
A hero in my heart-I left you
down in your deep black
slumber.
Escaping those terrible nights
To go for the town of delights.

I will walk alone

When will I see you next, at times I'm so unclear,
will it be at your funeral? For this is what I fear.

When will I hear your voice and what should I say,
I don't dare ask you Daddy, why you went away...

Should I pretend nothing happened, or ask why you don't come around,
or do I wait for that dreadful day they place you in the ground?

What will your tombstone read, what will your family say?
they wont speak about me daddy, or how you went away.

They will speak of things that their daddy would say and do,
they will speak of my daddy, one I never knew.

They will speak of a life you lived, one that made them proud,
a life I couldn't see or have because I wasn't allowed.

They will place you in the ground, and I will surly cry.
I'll finally know my daddy, the day that he will die.

I will walk alone, Ill have no one by my side,
with no one ever knowing, that was my daddy who just died.

THE CHAPEL

"Imagine a lovely garden, tea for two, and this story . . . "

The poigant auroma of ashwood fills the elements
the man made structure pays homage.
Many occasion will tread the aisle and rows
brides, holy communion to pall barers alike....

One time inparticular, early morning a knock at the door
was my mate Kev,i could see by his face something drastic
held my breath he said " Kingy has been shot"
31 years olds,he fell into the wrong crowd.

Our very good friend from childhood
was taken away, his mother devastatingly distraught
a handsome chap,a ladies man, a loveable rogue
was always kind to the elderly and the young also.

His manners, self presentation, and cleanliness were exquisit
always the highlight of the party, made everybody laugh
that cold morning in january 2000,always etched in my mind
always in my thoughts, heart and probably inspiring my poem.

The musky smell of a chapel, the sad loss of a young life. R.I.P LEE

My Kashmir Burns (Part 2)

Another son is dead, until five he lived.
For his long life at Shah-Hamdan he had threads tied
“Shehij ninder yee nai. Gahas Kormakh Khudayas Hawale”, his mother cries.
No news can penetrate across the mountains. Satellites work here no more
My Kashmir burns. And no one knows.
An old woman with torn scarf sits besides fire. While feeding her neighbor’s child
She sighs. Is my son dead or alive? She silently cries.
In Madrasa I hear children reciting Quran. A girl’s come out dragging her feet.
I remember her from somewhere. I remember her seeing naked.
Oh! God she is the one who was raped.

Nights have turned pitch black. My eyes are losing the habit of sight
Midnight soldier’s set another house ablaze. At least there is some sort of light.
Many letters have been written to God. Postcards posted of those raped girl’s
But its curfew again. No post office deliver’s the message again.
Death comes from everywhere. Close your windows mother
For bullet respects no womb. It turned Gulistans into tombs.
From the plains the visitors come to visit their God’s
They are our only witnesses but hypocrites at heart.
They say paradise is kaasmir. While my Kashmir is ablaze
They testify against us. Is anybody witnessing this? No one at all
Be witness to at least this. Open up your eyes my Lord!

When paradise is painted with colors of hell, certainly divinity loses its grace
In the news the reporter is beaten. Bamboo sticks are hungry for human blood.
Let Kashmir go to hell. A new promise in their portfolio.
Threads have given up at Dastegeer’s place. Even they are horrified at our fate.
In Maisuma boys are dragged by police. They close their dreams, end their screams
In a police gypsy.
Men shape into monsters when they are given right to anarchy.
The gypsy drives them into the dark cantonments. They will remember this day
Interrogation officer comes. After celebrating his son’s birthday.
The winds from the cantonments bring their news
Burned tires around their necks. Burning stoves near their heads.
The knife tearing up their flesh.
And the boys cry, “We haven’t batted yet. Cricket. We know nothing”.

Death wants children to be headlines
Hunger has affected the heavens as well.
Graves are full. No more space left.
We need land of the plains. For our graves.
In the ac car the bureaucrat goes. The mother’s with search full eyes
Ask about their sons they lost. They drink their tears
And he sips champagne.

Dream Liberty -- Butterfly Effect

Butterflies quietly fluttering In my soul Transforming my life Morphing into something so unreal So Different, silently beautiful So hidden and lost A fire dances on my pale iced face Lively prancing as each sheds more light The embers glow in your singed shadow Was this eternity meant to last forever? I couldn't believe that a simple flap of butterfly wings could cause such a storm, a storm in my mind The simplest things causing the greatest of pains Why cant I be one of them Forever and free I'll be with my dream of liberty Punishing the dead Can you never let anything go Is it all to hard to see That your bias takes you on a blinded delusion Where all they plunder is hate Terror is a virtue When becoming a king So cut off the strings of my life With your power And you will see the strength of the dream of Liberty I couldn't believe that a simple flap of butterfly wings could cause such a storm, a storm in my mind The simplest things causing the greatest of pains Why cant I be one of them Forever and free I'll be with my dream of liberty I couldn't believe that a simple flap of butterfly wings could cause such a storm, a storm in my mind The simplest things causing the greatest of pains Why cant I be one of them Forever and free I'll be with my dream of liberty

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING

Shush be calm, it’s okay I’m right here,
You’re hugging my pillow and shedding a tear

You have my memory and I feel your heart,
Always forever till death do us part.

We’ll always have Paris and the empire state building
Watching the Bulls and the yankees out fielding

But there’s nothing like kissing and the shared living touch,
and the holding of hands that we loved so much.

The smell of your perfume at the end of a day
Knowing that just before work we had shower play

Making love in the moon light the sun and the rain
The memories of beach the car and the plane

Running naked through sand dunes and chasing the sun
Naked moon bathing naming stars just for fun

It was always and only about just you and me,
And it always and shall be for eternity.

Please don’t go just yet I have something to say
Then you can let my balloon float away

I thought I knew love and knew what to do
But it all went so wrong when I met you

My wires got crossed an my thinking went wonky
My smarts all went south on a pantomime donkey

But now that I’m gone I don’t want you to worry
I don’t want you to rush to get here in a hurry

It’s all down to you now to play and explore
Before you join my photo in our sons bottom draw

Thank you for sharing your life and your love
I’ll be watching you always from the blue skies above

From the wind in your hair to the moon in your eyes
From the warmth of the sun and the sea and the skies

Feel loved and not spied on, I want your sprit to fly
I can’t live with the thought of making you cry.

Return To Dust

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

I'll See your face again
I swear it
No matter how far away they take you from me
Fading, Going Away, Don't be so afraid
Death is a Dream

The Cross Will Be lighter
Whisper the words
so sacred, so somber

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

A Fallen Angel looms over the lifeless stone
What Happened here must be true
I must live this life without you

Breaking the Silence
She began to Weep
The Epitaph ceasing to know
We all must Return To Dust

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

After the Casket Falls
After your soul is called
After your final breathe is drawn
I'll meet you again

The solitude is euphoric as an illusional clock
Of argentine fears swallow the last soul
Goodnight black rose of eternity
Goodnight dearest gothic phantom
Tonight The Earth consumes me

On many things

It was a voice in my head
A whisper in my ear
A sound I've come to dread
A thing I've come to fear
It was the look in its eyes
On a face whiter than snow
Seeing through all my lies
Uncovering that I do not show
It was the power in its stare
Showing what I don't want to see
Saying your time is near
And you can neither hide nor flee
It was the words it said
Creeping into me in a whisper
Telling me that she is dead
Telling me I know I'll miss her
It was what it forced me to see
Things I've hidden away with denial
Things I said I'd never be
For which I'll surely stand on trial
It is what I will become
A thrall of the shadow
Death's own son
Libera nos a malo!!!
It is what I feel
Black bleak sadness
Pain I wish wasn't real
Driving me to the brink of madness
It is what I stand for
My prerogative
The urge to always be more
My reason to live

When Death Answers The Call

How far beyond the surface of life I shall receive my salvation? How much time would
you concede for me to earn it? Hundreds of agonies I shed and many more to come if I
could just gain your bless, harmless pieces of a heart surrounded by the chains of the
forbidden life, crumbs of a mind that once dreamed and mercilessly was crushed.

I walk lightly to you, my savior, burying all the pain inside, I look at them with a tearful
smile but their eyes just couldn’t hear it, the silence that came through my lips spoke a
lot, and the smiles they were painting on their faces reflected my tears, for the load I
was carrying was just too heavy to be embraced.

I walk lightly to you, my savior, as I’m cleaning out my deserted soul, longing for your
chaotic touch, anxious for the cold kiss, would you embrace me now? My savior, would
you save me from this brutal reality? Would you hold my hand and walk me to my
grave? Tears of joy drifted on my cheeks as I close my eyes tightly enough to see you
there walking to me heartlessly.

What If Tomorrow Never Comes

I recall now the days when forever seemed but a short time The visits to the hospital, brought sad images to your mind She lay on a bed, cords all around her, no hair upon her head The cancer drove us crazy with worry tears and fright She was only a baby, I didn't get the chance to say goodbye Farewell until we meet again where you'll be waiting... waiting for tomorrow to come again. What if tomorrow never comes? How will I face the rising sun, when the moon is the only thing I can see? I need her here with me... The only loss I've ever known The only time that I've experienced this kind of sorrow... So what if tomorrow never comes? What if tomorrow never comes. And now I lie here thinking it through, memories flash through my head, memories of you Moments of a bittersweet time Reminiscing the days when you were mine The days when you were alive The tears come back to my eyes I feel the need to cry but nothing slides out I need to scream and shout, My emotions pour out as one, silently So what if tomorrow never comes? Reality in death is so hard to accept, I need my tomorrow to come... What if it never does? What if tomorrow never comes? How will I face the rising sun, when the moon is the only thing I can see? I need her here with me... The only loss I've ever known The only time that I've experienced this kind of sorrow... So what if tomorrow never comes? What if tomorrow never comes. Will tomorrow ever come? I just want to be awake when the moon becomes the sun I'm waiting here for you, in the darkness of the night. I wait still for you, forever the images will haunt my mind Tomorrow will come I'll soon be alright Tomorrow will come... Tomorrow has come... I can now see the sun.

All Alone, 11-19-09

Mommy, I know I left you here.

Ring ring went the phone,

Little did we know never again would I answer

Ring ring went the phone.

I was eating breakfast when

Open slammed the door,

That morning how strongly I would have denied

I would end up on the floor.

I tried to scream, Mom, I really did.

But he had me. . .

He used my garden tools to beat me.

He had me.

Those tools used to bring me so much joy,

But his purpose was to aid him.

I had loved greeting visitors with garden so green

It's not the tools' fault though, I don't blame them.

I shielded my face with my hand,

But soon that was broken. . .

The simple trowel was my doom,

All too soon, my face shattered and broken. . .

There was blood everywhere;

Mom I was so scared.

To stop fighting though,

I never dare.

The sleek black laptop I had

Been given for Christmas

Which held all of my

Favorite pictures of us,

With it and my purse,

He ran away,

Not knowing I wouldn't

Be here today.

The white-washed walls

Of the hospital room

Only all too well reminded

Me of Amontillado's tomb.

I left you in the hospital

Though. All alone. . .

They caught him, have comfort,

Even if you're alone.

I'm sorry Mommy,

I didn't want to go. . .

But who ever gets a choice?

I had to go.

How little did we know, that

One day, ring ring,

Never again would I answer

That phone, ring ring.

My Poem for MAT

This can't be real, this isn't right We cry all day, we cry all night You'd say you've got to make it through this no matter what it takes. I want to wake up and go back to a much better place. I need to feel you've got my back My big brother, what I'd do to go back. To the days we used to laugh our hearts out, I've never laughed so hard with anyone so much. The last day i saw you, you squeezed me so hard, I'll never forget the loud beat of your big jolly heart. I can't wake up, I can't go to sleep, I cry every night cause your memories i keep. I read your words over and over that you wrote on those hard nights, and I'll hold your advice in my head with my chin up, for the rest of my long-lived life. I think about you all the time, i feel you in this room. I imagine what you'd say when I'm having a rough time and i start to brighten up because of you.. I know you'd want whats best for me, your words were always true. For you I'll try and be fine, I'll live my life in your name tatted up on my spine. My backbone, you never let me down. How could this be the end? we were the very best of friends. We'd always say there is no end. It's been a long five months. With you not being there to make me smile, I wish i would have told you again, you were my life long friend. How much i loved you, how much i prayed, how much i worried, how much i would have gave. This nightmare is haunting me, every breathe i take. What a bond to break, what a life to take. You had the purest heart and a laugh worth all the money in the world. I cant bare the pain i feel, i cant handle the weight in my chest. I'll remember you looking at me always saying what was best. How could life take you away, who is it to decide? What I'd do to see you happy again, you were always one of a kind. You didn't deserve this time, you had so much passion in your life. You were too bold to just be another. I'll always consider you my only big brother. With all the love in the world like no other, Your words, the memories, and your heart, will live on forever.

Mary Frances McElroy You will be missed

Remembering the laughable times we shared,
Seeing that guilty look that you always gave,
When we laughed and got caught,
You will be missed,

Being the lovable and caring person that you are,
funny but also serious,
You will be missed,

You were Strong and wise,
Loved to cook and feed everyone,
but most of all for being loving,
Grandma you will be missed,

Embracing us with your warm hugs when we were down,
Guiding us with your footsteps after you followed Jesus' footsteps,
You will be missed,

Seeing the hurt and pain in our eyes caused by plenty,
You gave us encouraging words to get us through,
And for that,
You will dearly be missed,

Knowing you will be beside us,
To let us know what's right & wrong,
You will be missed,

Grandma in the midst of it all,
I will miss you soo much,
I wrote this poem just for you,
hope you can hear me!!
I love you and miss you!!

The Difference My Life He Did Make

The Difference My Life He Did Make

Precious are the memories which lift my soul
Soring to heights of remembered laughs
The joys having made eternal will always last
Good experiences for the lessons I did learn
This life of a man who shared in kind
For in his living day by day
This man helped me in showing the way
A way of living as a better husband father and man
A way of living that I might stand
To stand tall for family friendship and right
That from this day-forth his trodden path reflects light
Light to shine when worries I do care
Light to glow my path when in despair
I rejoice to know the difference my life he did make

The Bullet, It Flashed Before My Eyes

The bullet,
it flashed before my eyes and I knew I hadn't long.
But mom and dad, don't be sad for I went as was singing a song.

The bullet,
it flashed before my eyes, and I then saw my life.
I know twas short, but no regrets for I knew your smile and needn't much more.

The bullet,
it flashed before my eyes, and I think I glimpsed the light.
But now that it's dark, I'm looking back to see if your alright.

The Death of Laci Rocha-Peterson

It's been almost ten years to December 2002 since Laci Rocha-Peterson and her unborn son were killed by her loser husband, Scott Peterson. This case has haunted the lives of all of the citizens of a California town called Modesto; just outside of San Francisco. It seems that Laci's life was ended permanently too soon, especially when she had planned on giving birth to Scott's first born son, Connor. Both of her parents (her mom and step-dad) were angry, her brother was also angry and dismayed, the people were shocked and disgusted, and so on. Scott Peterson was afraid to be a father, that he never wanted to spend the rest of his so-called "life" with his late wife, and, on top of all that, Mr. Peterson was also afraid that his late wife, Laci, would find about his love affair with another woman named Amber Frey, so he killed her as a cowardly act. Laci Rocha-Peterson and her first born son really didn't deserve to die by the hands of her own husband, their own flesh and blood. She and her son had a whole life ahead of them, especially when her son, Connor, was about to begin the first day of school and stuff. But now that baby Connor and her mother are not on planet Earth and in heaven now, their family members, especially her parents and his grandparents, are still in a depressive mode. What kind of human being would want to dump his or her spouse in a body of water, let alone the San Francisco Bay? Who does that? The media, including the CBS Network, Nancy Grace, and the San Francisco Post were all over the Laci Peterson case, especially when everybody knew that Scott Peterson Selfishly killed his own wife and unborn son. What a coward he is and/or was. Scott may have had all of the ones he loved fooled, but when he walks into the death chamber and is executed by lethal injection, God will decide his punishment. And when He does, Scott Peterson will pay for what he did to his wife and own son, his own flesh and blood. The spirits of Laci Rocha-Peterson and her son will live on in their relatives' lives and through the hearts of the ones who knew her. May she and her son rest in peace.

Remember Me

Iv been there for you everytime you needed me,
Iv been there for you in case of an emergency.
I held your head while you were weak,
I whipped the tears off your cheeks while you were sick.

I brought you medicine when you had the flu,
I helped you out in any way I knew.
I made you smile when everyone around you made you sad,
I cheered you up when everything was going bad.

But now when I need you the most you are not here,
I'm down on my knees crying now and catching every single one of my tears.
I know all your secrets because I wanted to know how to help you,
But you don't even bother asking me how my day went, ain't that true?

Iv done everything in my power to make you into the person you are today,
But now I'm reaching out to you, but you give me a smirk and walk away.
I guess this is what I get for being the person that I am,
I might of raised my voice on you, but that that just to make you into a man.

God created all men equally, why should I be any different from anyone else,
I treated you like I treated everyone, with discipline, love, care, without a mess.
I guess this is what I get for being raised by the streets,
Everytime someone went off on you I was there to have your back like the streets.

But now I feel alone and don't see anyone by my side,
I thought you would help me, that's why I cried.
Now that my heart is barely beating, I want to say I love you,
Remember me as your teacher, care taker, soldier, your brother.

When Your Heart Turns Cold

When everything gets old, And things begin 2 take their toll, Bitterness sprouts and slowly grows. Like lava - through your veins it flows. In its wrath it destroys everything in its path- Then it turns 2 stone. When your heart turns cold- Don’t wait until its 2 late because once it’s froze- The damage is irreversible.

The Escapist's Plea

When you can longer run away from yourself
When you thought there were no more tears to cry
When you just want to die
Living like this consumed by the façade of a million lies
So many years, so many days
Waking up to people who no longer care you're there
You ask how can this be, one short organic vitality
Wasted with living; the slowest way to die

The shadows of shame weigh you down
Until you drown, filled with only their hate
All you can turns grey, and all you ever loved fades
The agony is all you know, thank you pain
A self-sadist Is all you have become, j
ust how they showed you, craving so much more
Just to hide up all of the misery
But under cloth it still bleeds

This is the Escapist's Plea
For the one who fall to their knees in misery
Trying to stay sane but fall under September's rain
Dying from the invisible disease, only you can see
Stigmatized by their sadistic need
Only if I could just fly away
...Fly Away

Sleep
For another sunny god
Sleep sleep sleep
Find your own peace
Your black midget maid
Had disappeared
Your sandwich is on
Its way
The dirty blood
Was washed away
They brushed your hair
Sleep sleep
For the love of god
For the mother mary love
Sleep
They already put a spell
Sleep
Sleep
The holy sky
Will save your heart
So please try to sleep

Letters to my dad

How about them times! Some of them seem so goofy now, But what fun it was. How we laughed an laughed. What’s missing now Is your face I was your ace. Not a foot print I wouldn’t trace. Always wanted to be in your good grace. Never to act in hast. He would of never made it his place, To judge you; Is a lack of conversational taste. The fact that I adore you is but one of my truths. The way you shaped my views Puts others to waste. They have no clue to what the world holds outside of there face. I can help, But I’m not the man you where Dad. Sometimes I get so sad. And for real even mad. The world took the best person I ever had.

The Trial of the Brazen Boy

Inconsiderate Brazen Boy
Who knows not what good to do
You forget your manners
Respectful to none but those with a gun
And thus having broken all the rules
Inconsiderate Brazen Boy
Who in spite of a good mother’s love
Shows no kindness, sympathy, nor compassion
You follow not the Golden Rule she taught
But seek only ill-gotten crimes of passion
Inconsiderate Brazen Boy
Thy callused heart strings untuned
What innocence is left with in your breast
What values have you for those that adored you
Having their hope replaced by your dope
Is this the life you envisioned
Inconsiderate Brazen Boy
Your once good name now vulgar
Your pants hang low so your butt can show
And you believe it’s sexy
Inconsiderate Brazen Boy
Death and violence amidst your comrades
Will bring about your destruction
Thy family of gang which kill, cheat, and steal
You lay still in a red pool of clay as they mock you
Inconsiderate Brazen Boy
Stand before thy creator
For your life for right you tossed for the left
Only now do you weep for the Savior

You're Weeping Me Insane

Stop this bitter weeping
Yeah I’m talking to you
Though you may not be crying aloud
Your expression gives you away

Stop this careless weeping
Yeah I’m embarrassing you
Though you may not think we know
It’s been in front of us from the beginning

Stop this despairing weeping
Yeah I feel your pain
Though you may feel like you’re the only one
Countless more will empathize

Telling you to stop
Is like telling the persistent priest to stop preaching
Telling you to stop
Is like telling the earth to stop spinning
Telling you to stop
Is like telling the weeping willow to stop weeping
Telling you to stop
Is like telling the fire to stop burning

I know your crying
But that won’t stop the weeping
I know I’m embarrassing you
But that won’t stop the weeping
I feel your pain
But that won’t stop the weeping

I’m going insane!
Will you cease the weeping?

Halloween's Song

Its your Halloween rave, having your mascaraed
With all your best friends from back in the day
Liz Lauren and Blake and while they're dressed like skanks
I'm on the front line of battle
Howlin like jackle with A real nasty cackle
puttin a razor blade in the sack of Blake's apples
crack in Lauren's snapple
Staddle Liz like mclovin
But I am more like faghole As I babble at her ass
Axe her fast and mash her up like cattle
Sneak back and tackle your dad and put him in shackles
Shove sour patch kids Down your trap and gaggle
Its abominable, so unbelievable
But its inevitable, the end is kissable
I have rattled these kids psyches
squirming like a centipede, cutting them like celery
hear their squeamish screams echo in the streets
as the creepy bells of the chapel ring

I remain a mystery
You'll need nancy drew, and at least 3 of the hardee boys to find what I'm up to
Theres this gloom that looms down in your basement room
Consuming shrooms, enhaling fumes to escape your doom
Witches zoomin by on their brooms makin sonic booms
Quick call scooby doo, but I killed him too
You heard a loud pound cause I cut the fuse so you
Run away to a motel room, assuming your safe
And As you look the other way,
I got my fangs in your veins and stranglin your neck
Too bad you didn't text your friends to tell them who is next
Hmm let me think for a sec. As Hex your boy rex
with an incessant twitch, till he is dead in a ditch
Hang him from bunny man bridge
Yo dude turn the lights on
But there's no flip to switch , I have flipped the script
Its bewitched with no miss to kiss
Exorcist with no priest to dismiss the spirit

So the town clock strikes half past 3
There's one last gas before i must sleep
Or i will crash fast if the light touches me
Put on the mask jack, just like the sixth scream
I need to grasp havoc, till i hear shrills and shrieks
Please back rabbit, these chills aint for teens
As I stick a cherry bomb in your moms exhaust pipe
Run up on you with nine a knife, and the head of your wife
Its useless I'm the nuisance that's abusive yet conducive
To your fear that I am near So close I could whisper in your ear
Smell the shampoo in your hair Wipe the floor with your tears
And as you look up in the mirror
I'm there ready to smear your blood all over the chair
as I stab you with my spear I crush a coors beer then
Leave you re crops there dead, red spread on the floor
But I hear a knock on the door
Are you okay honey? "Yes mommy, just got a cold sore"

I do miss them everyday,
To state the facts
I know ill never get them back,
Sleep that's what I lack
In
Conversational
Understandings
We got each other,
because they where just- that- smart
A want to interact,
with us,
as equals,
but we where aware,
they where parents.
This,
Absolutely okay.
The vision may be myopic,
but I will never,
blame them.
For being naive

Goodbye

Comforting words
Smooth, quiet tones
Reassurance
complete confidence

Long nights spent reasoning
In total understanding
Twin thoughts
twin minds
twin miseries
and twin fates

Now it’s so quiet
Too quiet
Complete and utter silence....
Oh my God,
What happened to the good old days
When we both made sense?!

Lost in blurry dreams of childhood
Colorful, wonderful, windy days
Subconscious cradled memories
of the times when we
were eachother’s only friends

Only you,
	the sky
		the earth
			and me...

				No betrayal

			No lies
		No fire

	No hate

No regrets.

I think I can understand
why you won’t face me
But your sudden silence
is so confusing

Did you ever know me well enough
to know my affection for ultimate honesty?
If you wanted me to go away
why didn’t you just say something?

Only this emptiness is left
Inconsolable grief...
For what never again can be

No warning
No parting words
No ceremony

You went and had the funeral
for our friendship
but did not invite me

From the start
I thought these ways would always be
But in the end,
All I wanted, my friend
was to say
goodbye.

I can’t trust anyone
anymore
anyway

All alone again
shame on me

True beauty unmatched,
True strength untold,
True love you gave,
True life to behold,
True grace was yours,
Through thick and thin,
You proved to the world,
True class to the end,
You will be missed and ever remembered,
Forever in films and by too many hearts to be numbered.

My Luna

As I lay with you for hours
I watch you slip away

I tried my hardest to
keep you with me and I
failed, but I will always
have the memories that
changed my life forever.

You are gone now to a
better place, I have to
move on. i will miss u.
MY STRONG ONE.
MY LUNA.

Invisible's Invincibility

I am an invisible man.
Try and see me if you can.

Shy and quiet I remain alone.
Silent is my voice’s tone

No one can feel my pain and sorrow
As I hide inside of my burrow.

Shadows consume my body and soul
As I embrace the misty cold.

The reason for my unseen being
Lies in the fact I hate being seen.

This life and existence’s of my own choice
And I choose not to have a voice.

I am silent. Invisible. Inexistent.
Yet I am invincible, an immortal being

Peace be with you little ones

Peace be with you little ones,
As you make your journey home,
So early in the day it seems,
To come upon your lives’ sweet gloam.

Peace be with you little ones,
Your smiles brightened up the earth,
And though we might no longer see,
They still in heaven spread their mirth.

Peace be with you little ones,
And those who would your guardians be,
There should be no cost put on lives,
So easily lost in tragedy.

Peace be with you little ones,
As you make your journey home,
So early in the day it seems,
To come upon your lives’ sweet gloam.

For the children and adults who lost their lives in Newtown Connecticut

The Dying Limb

So tightly squeezed shut
Is the flow to healthy flesh,
That might by your release
Ramble back and return again.

The tireless dancer sends an echo,
Desperate, pressing,
Pulsing into the vice
So far from home.

Devoid

As christmas mounts decembers passing
we huddle in your absence.
Our eyes earthbound in aversion
of the stinging words etched upon the marble.
A solitary magpie skipping over the crystallised blades
highlights my purpose at your graveside.
Your first christmas misspent in the depths of the earths
are my thoughts as my eyes thaw the ground beneath.

In Waiting

You are gone from us
But we are never alone.
We gather here now
To lay down your stone.

One of remembrance
One to mark your resting place
You will never be forgotten.
Memories nothing can ever erase
No one will ever forget
Your sweet embrace.
We can not forget
Your shining face.

The path of White Light
Came to bring you home
We listen for your voice
Descending from the whispering dome.

‘Twas not more than this
Eight moons since your pass
Unto the beauty unknown
You have entered sweet bliss
Where all shall forever last
To see our King sit upon His throne.

For you were to all
Such sweet company
The joy of your face
Curls of such mahogany.

We all hope to see
You awaiting us some day
Arms outstretched in longing
On the beach of an emerald bay.

We are in longing
As we lay down your stone
To see you again
In a world He calls His own.

Fly Home, Little Angel

“Come fluttering words, come drifting to me...” A Rambling Poet

A gentle breeze brings me the soft smell
So familiar it calms my tear-filled eyes instantaneously.
I venture closer to the source.
Two ebony, round vases resting atop a sill.
The scent of the roses and carnations flit about me,
As they did about her so little ago.
Yet we have laid her softly
After she was slain
Into the moist, soft soil from which her scent derived.
Always like a butterfly did flora float about her.
So small, and pale, with mahogany hair
When we found her lay flared about her delicate head
Like the halo our Father gifted her.
For it came about in such a gentle flow
And jade eyes, calm as the sea
In which we found her
They sparkled like the sun dancing off the waves.
Her eyes were open, and matched the swirling surf.
The tears flow silver from my own emerald orbs
I peer into mucky puddles lying about
And see her face in my own.
I bore her from my womb
Yet our Lord has called her home
To save her from the world's cruelty
An Angel to watch this land
I stopped to smell the flowers
Not rushing bust taking life in time
The wind blew by my ear
And I heard the whisper of a little Angel
“I love you, Mommy”

A Brighter Day

I just looked at your face and seen no smile,
It was so bright and so happy that you could see it from a mile.
I can't believe this tragic thing had happened,
I'll never see your precious face again cause of what happened.

Your eyes are closed and you breath no more,
You lay there like and angel, and your soul looking up at the heavens door.
The box is cold and all so small,
Your spirit begs for it to run away so far.

So save me a seat up stairs little sister, cause im coming soon,
Ask God for me to forgive my soul cause I have been such a fool.
I couldn't protect you when you needed me most,
But your protected for ever now by our Lord and our host.

Destined Day

The flowers
the flowers
are crying, you see,
as they cling to the wood
that encompasses me
and the heart that still loves
the now widow above
who will hopefully never forget

that

the husband
the husband
all covered in fleurs
who now sleeps in the earth
is still grateful to her
and the heart that still pines
for the lover enshrined
who has never once thought to regret

all

the moments
the moments
that love had endowed
and
the kisses
the kisses
that came with the vow
to
his lover
his lover
who will not allow

her memories--
to wither away,
unlike the fleurs
on destined day.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

From heaven above to the ground below.

You stand here with your weeping eyes wondering if my soul will live or die.

As you stand at my grave please DO NOT CRY.

Shall I Compare Thee

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more stormy and less temperate.
Rough winds do shake our fragile bonds of May,
And summer's temper hath all too short a date.

Sometime too hot your sweat does shine,
And often is your beauty dimmed;
And every handsome man you do decline,
by chance, they leave chest hair untrimmed.

Part 2 Variation
Shall I compare thee to a winter’s day?
Thou art as stormy and as cold
And do leave me longing for May
And winter’s temper too long showed
Sometime too cold yours eyes shine GREY

Always Here

With a personality that shown bright as stars
And always a hint of clorox
Her presence will never be doubted

With the stories of her life
And the stories of ours
She will never leave our hearts

Even now, though she is far away
She can get through
And make even the strongest person shed a tear

With the pictures and memories
And how she always spoke her mind
She will live on forever

Though she's a world away
She'd want us to remeber her with smiles and laughs
Not tears and frowns

bloody red roses part 2

She lies in a pile of bloody red roses

She left a note to her folks saying

" I cant go on im sorry"

      It didnt say why

But still we cry

      We are all very sad

some of us are mad

       none of us are glad

She'll b greatly missed

To me she was like a sis

But when will the rumors stop

Noone knows the truth not even the cops

My pain is great

I wish we hadnt been late

But when we got there

        there she lay

on her already made bed of

Bloody red roses

Reflections of Love

I need to heal and fast,
I can feel the time running out, all too soon.
But can't push myself out of the agony,
The threads of pain pull me back like a puppet.

I seem wrong to be grieving now, odd one!
Everybody else is no longer black,
Me, haven’t seen the sunlight for long;
The mansion, its corridors, the rooms now my world.

The wound in my heart is still too fresh,
It forbids me from a sunset on the beach,
It forbids me from running or skipping,
It forbids me from laughter and joy...

In denial: they say but it's not all true, I accept
I know he is dead, He is no more
But do I dump him in my past and move on?
The thought makes me hate myself!

He would want you to smile again, live further..
Strangers tell me his likes and wants, the know-it-alls.
I look straight ahead and avoid their prying eyes
It’s a losing battle, I know but let me lose in grace...

Visitors keep pouring in, with flowers and tears.
He was a man loved by many, the crowd proves it,
Everybody seems shocked and pale but not as lost as me
I glide along the windows, reliving the shadow of memories...

The moments were many, uncountable even,
It crushes my soul to think, they are all I have,
I see his fingerprints on the window panes,
I search for mine too, just beside him they lay...

The garden is being watered, but by a strange hand
The plants understand the master is now below them,
He will never enjoy their colors or drive away moths
His ashes and scent scattered around the mango tree..

I smile at the garden then burst out laughing,
Before I know, warm tears run down my nose
But there still lingers a smile, wet with glistening tears
I am happy he lived, he lived full and more...

A Soldier's Memorial

It is built on pain and on sorrow
To always beware of what comes tomorrow
Although to some it burns from the past
Like the flames of hell rising fast

But yet be happy, there is some hope
Some happy things to help those cope
With problems that come, but memories gone
Into the ashes where only death belongs

A voice could say, “Beware what you seek.”
This voice wants all to be dreary and bleak
It calls for a unity of past damnation
It wants the world to have a remorseful sensation

Though, it cannot be stopped but can be fought
The memories from those that can be forgot
So live life well, allow no worry to fly
The days of sorrows and lies have gone by

Think of the days where it will be perfection
From the day of birth or the grave-sites reflection
It can never break what was built in a heart
Never worry, only love, for love is thou art

A severe façade of loving tolerance Dipped in an argentine semblance The Consuls of The Cross Weaving a sweven of Welkin Where the checkered ones Are never allowed Their souls cast into the flames Of a greater decay The never ending pit Of eternal torment You turn the other cheek The one that wields the clandestine dagger The dreams of being free grow lighter and light The truth is shrouded by sister-Night Clinging onto existence Never eluding the resistance I will never adhere To your Sanguinary Lord Bestowing The Crusader’s reign Against the sand and the desert’s wane Barraging him over the frame In desperation to appease Screaming and shouting I will wash away your sins Decadence of the ones to throw the stones The ones to enforce the book Has left your lies dry and ready to die No more tears are left to cry No more screams are left to scream No More blood to be split No more graves to be dug

Prayer

Those silent tears ran down again
So sure was I that they had dried
And the hollow feeling they had left
Matches no other but the one of death

So, close the casket or set the fire
Let me not live another while
nurturing solitude with endless hope
embracing ghosts of fake smiles

Be this mind put at a final rest
All the sorrow ending at last
No struggle left to be done
Never another silent tear to run.

Single Yellow Orchid

Silver box filled with madrigals
Winter song upon her heart
One single Orchid in her hand
Flower of bitter sadness
Panting for what is lost

Eyes blind in the darkness
Seeing what is left of love
Softly whispering his name
Reaching out for bitter sweet memories
Embittering herself for this pain

A sunset that she missed
Candle light now her company
They chattered before she left
The yellow Orchid on a grave
Untimely death of tender love

Angel of mine

Angel of mines

You were my heart my world my baby girl
It's still so hard for me to believe that you are gone
All I ever wanted for you was the best
To be able to see you walk, run and play
I wanted to see the woman that you would become someday
Although God had other plans he called you home
Now I sit here missing you and feeling so all alone
What I wouldn't give to see your beautiful smile
Or feel your innocent touch
You were our world Eygpt and we miss you so very much
I know that it isn't going to be easy living without you here
And all I can do is cry and my thoughts seem so unclear
At times I sit and wonder why God had to take you from us
All to soon I had so many plans for you so many things we were going to do
I try to have peace in knowing that you are in a better place and one day again I will see your smiling face
So to you I say my child it's okay you can take God's hand he is going to walk with you to the promise land
And when it's time for the Lord to call me home just know my child that you will not be alone
Sleep with the angels baby now you can rest I have no more worries because
you're in the hands of the best!

Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves.
The ones that coloured my days golden, I long for them during the winter of my life.
I long for their warmth and how I long for their beauty.
Why have they left me?
I cannot bare the cold.

Numbed by the snow I gaze out into what is left of the seasons.
I cannot see clearly as nostalgia dances around me, twirling among the blinding shadows,
always just out of reach.
I can never hold her again.
She taunts me, but I can never hold her again.

My heart, my poor suffering heart.
There is no fixing this break, there is no going home again and there is no hope for
another Autumn.
I have come to the end of the road and there is nothing left but fields of white.
They beckon me.
I take a step and all at once a feeling of calm, complete calm, washes over me.
The world stands still, waiting for my descent.
I realize, then and there, this is the final chapter.
My last season, ending.
I take one last look at the dancer and dream one last dream of Autumn leaves.
My finale.
I am forever now, in the endless white.

Suffering Is The Same As Living

Hope, tonight, is just a void Love is destroyed Reality impending my doom Suffering a dream that was never made for me I’m just the burden falling under your arms I understand if you give up on me Don’t worry I’ll be fine I can just wait, wait as in all eternity You deserve to be happy and free I’m just the burden falling under your arms I understand if you give up on me Suffering is the same as living Tonight I might, Today I may Set you free away from me I’m just the burden falling under your arms I understand if you give up on me You travel all across in my veins Showing you share my pain But my life was never meant for me I’m just the burden falling under your arms I understand if you give up on me I'm sorry for those days I've ruined your life Best you just ignore, forevermore I’m just the burden falling under your arms I understand if you give up on me Suffering is the same as living Tonight I might, Today I may Set you free away from me I’m just the burden falling under your arms I understand if you give up on me Suffering is the same as living Tonight I might, Today I may Set you free away from me I’m just the burden falling under your arms I understand if you give up on me

my last words to you

my last words to you in a place where i once dwelled, there lived a boy i loved so well, he took his love away from me, and now is willing to set me free. i even know the reason why, the other girl was prettier than i, i ran for home an cried on my bed , an not a single word was said, my mother came home from work that night , an searched for me left an right, she came upstairs,my door she broke, and there she saw me strung by a rope. an on my jeans there was a note that i had wrote, it read: dig a grave, dig it deep, with marble stone , from head to feet, and on my grave, place a dove , an tell the world i died for love.

And So- To Sleep

As I close the curtains on wavering thoughts,
How did you bare the pain of your body’s conflict?
The mirror on the wall captures a picture of my hurt,
Tears fall as I wait for the mists of my pain to lift.

So many answers needed but now laid to rest,
My confusion as to “Why You?” never known.
Expectance the only option, for what else is there?
Solutions like an hour glass, empty and long gone.

Left shocked and broken, when reality hit home,
The battle within you raged, way out of your control.
A parasitic army draining you of strength and life,
Your loss leaves me numb right through to my soul.

As others watched helpless, you were falling,
Into the waiting arms of a better place.
Where pain and illness will never touch you,
I hope you smiled as you gave into it’s embrace.

We’ll all miss you, but know you will be smiling,
You will be remembered with love in our hearts.
At night I will always have a thought for you,
I will look for your face in the stars.

The Day That Changed My Life

*Dramatic Monologue*

It was a normal Thursday. I went to school, and was on my way home. But on the
way, Adam, the guy I've been crushing on forever stopped to talk with me and he actually asked me to go to a movie tomorrow night, I accepted of course. I got in my car and drove home. When I walked up to the front door, it was open. My dad never leaves the door open. I walked in and called out, "Dad! Dad!" No answer. Then I look and on the couch I see my dad, lying there with three gun shots in his head, covered in blood.
Almost too weak to walk, I then see my mother on the floor with a gunshot to the chest, also covered, covered in blood. Crying hysterically I went into my brother's room
hoping he wouldn't be there. (He stayed home from school today because he was sick)
But he was. He was there. And he looked just like my parents, expect he was shot the
most. *Cries for a bit, then gathers herself together* Twelve times. TWELVE TIMES.
Who would do this?! Who would do this to me?! To my family?! Why didn't I die with my
family?! Why was I spared?! I shouldn't have talked to Adam. I shouldn't have. Why did
I do that?! *Cries again, then a pause and continues* After that I was never the same.
I was a different person. A different being. Because that was the day that changed my
life.

Unread Questions

I want to be brave
I can't trail on...when you're gone (2)
Why are you gone?

Hey, I can't save...you from the sorrow - I can save you from the grave
Do you want me to grieve for you?
I can't hold on...when I have no hope - we must wait till the dawn
Where are they going?
Where have they gone?
Why is this frustration growing? ooh...
Why’s the wind whispering in my ears?
How could I face my fears?

(ooh ooh)
Do you want to be brave?
Do I have the ability to be brave?
You’re fighting back the tears…
I’m bottling up the fears
Why?
Why do you want this love to end up in the grave?
You’re regretting everything…
Why are you hard on yourself?
I’m trying to forget that one thing…
Is it my fault your acting so strange?
Is it my fault that we have the problems spreading like cancer?
Is it Satan's fault?
(Oooh… oooh…)

I want to be happy
Why aren't you happy?
I can’t feel my feet…when I feel so incomplete… (2)
Why do I feel this horrid feeling?
Hey now – I can’t hold you all throughout the night…I can’t set you free
I have my insecurities…I sometimes hope you’re doing great…it’s a treat
To finally know where you’re going…
But I still store up unanswered questions
They pass my train of thought
And then I fight it all away, but all for naught
What's the meaning of life?

I don't have the answers...
Do I search for clues?

The wind leaves my heart to beat… it’s still blowing…
Why’s your voice ringing in my head?
How could I go to bed?

These questions
Are left on your desk like debt
Pay attention!!
Are you answering my questions yet?

You're reply is naught......................
....................
.............

Where have you gone now?

Freak Show

Hello? Hello? Is anyone here? I am here for the “Freak Show”. Fine don't come out. If you can't see yourself in a mirror, Come here Come here. If you don't fit in, Come here Come here. If you're full of terror, Come here Come here. If your made of tin, Come here Come here. Cause it's time, it's time, for the Freak Show, To unleash their wild pack, To come out of a shack, To show your wild side, To show you won't bite. Cause it's time for the Freak Show, To come out from the dark, To do your freaky march, To come unrap, To lay down flat. It's time for the Freak Show. Down here we don't judge, We don't care if your fudge, If you have flames, Or even fangs, If your made of fur, or if you purr, Come down for the Freak Show. 30 seconds on the clock, Those hands go tik tok, It's almost time for halloween night, Get ready for a real fright! Just scare those kids, Into little bits, I'm sure they won't mind, It isn't a crime, Invite them inside, For a little surprise, You are supernatural, Or even bichemical. WELCOME HOME.

How

How do you expect me to breathe
Without you by my side?
How can I go on with my life
If yours is ceased?
How do I keep my vision
If I can't see your face?
How can I talk
If it's not to you?

When you left,
You took everything with you.
My life,
My smile,
My happiness,
My breath,
My voice,
My heart.

I can't breathe,
I can't see,
I can't be without you.

You killed me.

I'LL SMILE 4 U

Stroll through the Illest Empire
So much heat feeling like we’re living in the fire
But we’re living under fire
Tell me how many shots must it take before my loved ones are crying at my own wake
Its time for a break from sad eyes I’ve seen grown men cry
It hurts to tell a loved one good-bye
It’s the same reason why they died
Hearts just too full of pride
Mothers praying their young’n wont be a victim of a homicide
Too many drive-bys blood shed for a block you really can’t call mine
Wishing we could turn back time
High off of nickels’ and dimes
Making moves to boost your grind looking for hope
But the hustle got us in a head choke
Don’t blame me for acting crazy cause this how the streets made me and you
To watch our back and throw bows and cuss
Cause you got to be tough when times are rough
I know your asking when will enough be enough
And truth is I don’t know but this is how it goes down
But if I make it out will you smile for me now

So many families struggling with poverty
I don’t judge cause that use to be me
Watching mom come home late
Barley any food on our plate
So young and life we already hate
Praying God bring us something great
My clothes were cheap imitates and kids called you on them for being fake
Knowing mom bust her ass to provide
But all your knock offs you begin to hide
Ashamed of what you own
I know how you feel I been there too
I see mothers walking there kids to school
And the walk is far when you cant afford a car
Mom hoping one day you’ll be a star
I know about being next to poor
Your local neighborhood liquor market is your grocery store
Wishing you didn’t have to go through that living off of food stamps
Cube the neighborhood is a trap but we’ll all be free
So smile for you and me

Even 2pac said smile for me
This isn’t how its always going to be unless you let it be
In our different way we’re all a G
Cause we’re trying to make it straight legit
Whatever your hustle never quit but don’t lose yourself in it
Cause you still got a long ways to go
Still got a long time to grow
Use what you know to get by or you wont survive
Remember to always keep your dreams alive
Whatever it is just do it and never try
The limit is the sky so keep your heads held high
And when you come to a hard road just always know nothing can keep you down
You’ll be able to come back around
So give yourself a chance
And I’ll smile for you now

Still with me

My dear beloved friend,
I feel you late at night,
Curled atop my feet,
And keeping my heart alight.
I see your sweet smiling face,
Everytime I close my eyes,
And feel you rub against me,
With all the love you have inside.
My loving baby girl,
I feel you here beside me,
Comforting me of all my pain,
Your close to me once more,
And I have not to weep as much,
When I feel your tail waggin against my legs.

RIP My Puppy Camille <3
I love you babygirl

The Girl Behind the Mound

The dead march ahead,
But she hides behind a mound
A wooden barrier is all that protects her from being found.

Their soulless eyes burn bright,
As they walk ahead on
Trudging through the darkness as it swallows the dawn.

Their eyes are hungry, as they smell her soul’s essence. Her breath accelerates when they discover her presence.

Darkness swallows her as she whispers her final prayer;when morning comes she will no longer be there.

The dawn spreads its wings,
But dark clouds billow down,
Crying their grieving tears
For the stolen soul that will never again be found.

Days pass ahead
She’s buried in the ground
And they cry silent tears
For the girl behind the mound.

Sister

My soul cry’s from the pain of the greatest lose someone could imagine
The loss of a loved one
People say time and time again that “it will never happen to them, it’s one and a million”
But the truth is it does happen and when you least expect it to
I cry the tears of loneliness for I have lost a part of myself
I am incomplete now that my love one is gone
I lay in bed and fall into a peaceful slumber so I can remember the times we shared
All the times we made each other laugh
The times we were there for one another when things were tough
Things are tough now and I don’t have the warmth of your comfort or the joy of your smile
But I most hold my head high and remember that you wouldn’t want me to be sad
You would look at the bright side of things never at the bad
I write this for you
For you to know I will not be sad because I know you’re in a better place
Where loved ones care for you and surround you
Rest in peace I love you now and forever.

The Hill

An empty castle,
a broken spell,
look to the hill,
upon it a well,
deep in its depths,
a princess you'll find,
against the stones,
her bones will grind,
at the end of the hill,
a prince lay buried,
to the ground,
his blood is married,
a witchs spell,
cast to kill,
it ran its corse,
upon that hill,
one dark day,
the princess drowned,
killing the prince,
with the sight he found,
in the well,
he saw her lifeless eyes,
trip and tumble,
that's how he dies,
that's the end,
their love now gone,
killed on a hill,
by a witchs con...

My fragile heart that beats for you..

Who will hold me in their arms and tell me things will be alright
who Will stroke my hair at night and whisper tender feelings twice
Who will know just what to say to help me make it through the day
Who will kiss me on my lips and feel me melt right into his
Who will touch me in that way that sends me floating to the stars
To never hold you in my arms or kiss your tender lips again
I feel it’s hard to bear
I want so much to hold you close I don't think I can cope
My heart was whole when I was with you, it fluttered like a bird in flight
It soared up high and through the night
My love I was amazed by you and everything you made me feel
To never have this love again sends panic to my head,
I know I have to muddle through another desperate day
And all around are memories of times we shared and happy days
How can I forget all this and get myself through my day...

The answer is I won’t forget and really I don't want to,
But I will learn to hold these thoughts inside a special place,
I will have to try to learn to try to cope with life alone
To be strong, and stronger still,
Until my heart can once again be brave enough to walk alone.
But for now I need to say my love my heart is broke in two
And you, you hold it in your hands to hold for ever more...
So when I’m feeling life’s too hard and my head’s all in a whirl
I’ll remember all the words youve said and dream your arms around me
The arms that sheltered me from harm will forever hold me safe
And time will heal my broken heart, but for now I feel it so,
Like searing heat that cuts in two my fragile heart that beats for you

Lifes saddest occasions

She looks in the mirror
And the tears rolls down her face
The lines she never notice before
Are now all over the place

She fumbles with a cigarette
As she tries to get it light
She heard the knock on the door
Asking if she’s alright

Every one comes up to hugs her
There’s not much they can say
They just bend their heads
And slowly walk away

Jasmines flowers over the fire place
That he knows she’s always like
And he would always bring it for her
When he comes from work at night

The weather outside is changing
Thunder sounds like distance drums
She goes over to the table
Pour her self a drink of rum

The rain started falling
As she walks out the door
Today he’s is leaving her
And won’t come back no more

She gets in the back seat
Looking out the windows
She looks at the house
A long line of cars follows

This is the last time
That He will ever be home
Now her life is so empty
He just went and left her alone

She thinks of the years
And how quickly did it pass
He swear to be here for ever
Today he lies under the grass

The place is getting dark now
As she says he final goodbye
Don’t know how to face tomorrow
But she knows she got to try

One of life’s saddest occasions
Is when a love one passes away?
And many want to comfort her
Just can’t find the right words to say

Every thing that could be said
Has probably been said already
And some times the best thing to do
Is to just give a hug and let them be

And at the funeral service today
She buries her heart with him
And she walks out the cemetery gate
A new challenge she face within

Today its Ten years pass already
She places flowers on his stone
And I think she met him in heaven
Because she died that night alone

My pain

blood drips down
locked the door
the stinging starts to fade
everything becomes a blur
i know lay in the tub
in the cold water
my my arms stings
then the pain fades
i go under hopping not to come back up for air
and i feel my body going numb
i open my mouth to get a water in and blood
i tell myself to stay under
and then everything fads away
no more pain
my heart stops
the pain leaves me
my dead body is in the tub
TO NEVER BE FOUND AGAIN
untill someone starts looking for me
when they find my body
it will be to late

Reality

perfection, who would have thought him perfect?
without his words, i know no other truth
reality,
the mother of my existence, you gave birth to twins
euphoria and agony,
oh agony!
reality,
i ask for only a moment to bury myself inside
his soul, his mind, I want to be with it, of it
i need to breathe him, fill my lungs with love,
with life,
why can't I?
REALITY!
oh to cast you back to the depths of hell, demon!
to come into a life, just to taunt...
there is no hatred so pure, as the one i hold for you
for you today,
reality,
you have taken away my heart,
that was your wicked plan all along
was it not?
well,
reality,
without him, I have nothing left to lose,
no sanity left to keep me afloat
so,
reality,
today you have been defeated
i have always held the key
it's almost tragic, oh
reality,
do you realize you cannot exist
without me?
so say your prayers,
as this war comes to a bloody end
we were both martyrs for the same cause-
reality.

And I shot my left brain dead.

My Shadow

Blackness, a dark version of me, badness, negativity.

No matter how fast i run or were i run too your right behind me.

Even the brightest sun doesn’t destroy you, you only exist because of me.

All i know is when i face the darkness you disappear, but to only return when the sun rises.

Always Remember

Dedicated to an old friend of mine, I hadn't seen her for a long time and now I never will be able to again...
R.I.P. Alleria (09/93-08/2012)
----------------------------------------
I will always remember you, your beauty and your grace
I will always remember how the light shined on your face

The pain and shame you felt was far too great
Buried in torturous self-hate

I will always miss you
I will always miss the activities we used to do

It was not fair to watch you drown
To let you slip, let you go down

I will never forgive myself for not helping you more
I will never forgive myself for letting you walk out that door

I should have done something to help you
I should have showed you that it was going to be okay, that I was here for you

But now, it is far too late
You gave up, let yourself suffocate

I cry often when you stray into a thought
Wishing and hoping for naught

But I will always remember you, your beauty and your grace
I will always remember how the sun lit up your face

One More Thing

Drop to my knees and I’m begging
Come back, don’t leave me
Do one more thing and I’ll disappear
I swear it, just wait and see
Just put your hands around my throat
Squeeze it as hard as you can
Don’t let go, don’t stop it
Clench until I am damned
I’ll close my eyes in silence,
See nothing no more
I’ll gasp one more time
This is what I’m asking for
Please give me this
And I’ll walk away
You’ll never see me again
Not after this day

HAGGLING IN AN EMPTY MARKET

Now the sun goes down to rest from its daily shining
How then have you come to an early grave
Passing in a boisterous way from the lip of dawn
Rambling around the God swollen foot .
Wailing, crying and gnashing of teeth prevent not the grave from receiving its dusty guest.
At the shore of Victoria beach,
Here we were, hanging our lyre, pipe, and drums
Shedding tears at the shrouded view of a sandy host
The sea also arose in a sad mood.
Span my days! Full of sadness from its genesis
Mother weep, relatives shed tears, whether that of crocodile – now i know
May be they all want to make an alien a nationale
The dead cry for the dead’
Only time will tell, when the beauty will sleep in abode of unconditional comfort.

Now! I can hear, the song of a songbird
Singing sweetly and softly,
Oh little bird! You are not sad like us
I am neither sad nor lonely
But singing of the last embrace , when the saint are matching on
I am neither sad nor lonely
Rejoicing with the wise travellers that are free of debt the given the account of their individual marketing journey

Cry for Joy! Says oh nightingale
For it is better to respond to the call while the dew is still wet on the grass
With a great welcoming party.
Than to be covered with burning shame at the end of a million lengthen years
In the city of temporal shelter.
Haggling in an empty market, so long , with an empty purchase where time and effort were spent in a flashing memory
Vanity upon vanity

Eric -RIP-

Why did you leave?
Oh companion of mine
Why did you leave?
Twas it really your time?
Did you see no point in staying
another measly day?
By my side if you were oh the
things I would say!
Judge you, I would not
Tis not in my nature
The emptiness I feel from your
passing measures to that of a
crater
A bullet took your life
One blast and it's through
What pains me to know is the
gun was held by you
All you left behind was a note
for family and friends
Inscribed were many ' I love
you's '
And your deep heartfelt
amends
No need to say sorry
For you lived a full life
I shall always remember this
through the pain, struggles,
and strife
'You don't know what you got
until what you got is no more'
Oh how this saying is true!
As the tears stream my face
and I reminisce of you
With anger in our eyes and
pain in our hearts
We lay you to rest
Hoping that solace will
overflow in our lives
We miss you Eric
This is in plain black and white
Had we the power we'd wish
you back to life
I take comfort in knowing one
day we'll meet again
Beyond the pearly gates
reunited  as friends
This is NOT goodbye
Only a brief farewell
When shall we meet again?
Only time will tell

an angel

An angel.

I thought I saw an angel today when I was remembering you.
You are in my waking day, I dream its just me and you.

When I go and walk a while I think your by my side
And then I remember the truth of it all and that you had to die.

I don’t know why im so confused
They say death is part of life
But you were so little my love
You had not lived your life.

They say you have gone to heaven
And that you are a star
But I don’t believe them, not at all
I just know that you are far

I hope one day I will see you again
And we will smile and laugh and dance
And I wait with anticipation for the day
That I will get another chance.

I love you

Absence

it's like the confusion has set in. it's happened before but has been ignored.
it feels like not a face cares about the well being of such a beast.
a beast that hides his insides in fear of insult and ridicule.
he has done wrong yet the people still blame him for mishap.
he cannot express his true feeling because no ears will listen.
he cares so dearly for her, but she refuses to come forth.
it's been long that they've conversed, yet it means nothing to her.
he does not care for appearance, in his mind, she is a goddess.
a personality people can only dream for, but never find.
she was the only one he could stand talking to and listen.
if only she felt the same way, things would be perfect.
he does not need anyone else, he does not want anyone else.
he wants her, and he's tried, but she threw it back.
now he is in an endless spiral of abysmal hate and confusion.
wondering what he should do next, he wishes not to hurt anyone.
times like these turn people insane, but he is stronger than that.
but the absence of light is the only thing that is on his mind
the absence of light will end this feeling of agony...
if she wont want him, then nobody will.

tears in the rain

Rain
the best thing about the rain is that no one can see my tears
in the rain you can hide your fears,
in the rain I can hide from my peers,
the best thing about rain is I have a excuse for not going out,
in the rain no one can see me in doubt,
in the rain i can pout
the best thing about rain is no one can hear my cries
in the rain I can hide my lies
in the rain I cant see your eyes
the best thing about rain is people don't call
in the rain no one can see you crawl
in the rain no one can see you fall
the best thing about the rain is it reminds me of you
standing in the rain I wish I knew,
standing in the rain I wish it wasn’t true

My Son

These words I write with tear filled eyes,
As a new dawn comes to light.
Another day without you Son,
Nor' a star filled winters night.

Your Mother sends her love dear boy,
As our hearts are torn in two.
A Major came to see us Son,
He brought us news of you.

He told us of your courage,
Of the fight that lay ahead.
The soldier that we knew you were,
Then he told us, " you were dead".

You left for a tour of duty,
With the army in your heart.
We are proud to have had you in our lives,
We won't always be apart.

You fought for Queen and country,
Now your duty sure is done.
A man, a friend, a soldier,
And my ever loving Son.....

Burial

Burial
            Pawpaw's funeral

So many bodies stand around an open casket
Watching as it slowly falls into the Earth,
Black veils cover the mourns of all women
Men hold back their silent tears.

A priest prays over the burial
As rain gently falls,
Quiet drops stick to the deep red roses
That lay across the deceased.

Rifles lift in the thick air
As everyone looks to the dead grass,
Boom-
A cry from a small girl echoes,
Boom-
Everyone flinches,
Boom-
Tears become heavier.

The guns lower
To the sides of the soldiers,
They quietly walk away
With foggy eyes.

A slow tear falls down the face of all men
As the coffin is closed,
Women collapse to the ground
With hope of resurrection
From their loved one.

Deadly

My mind was filled with hope

and desire.

While laying in a garden of

wildfire.

Take my skin and flesh to boil

and burn.

I feel the end come as I turn.

Ash and nothing more is what

I've become.

Are there tears in your eyes or

are there none.

Endure and take when I am a

ghost.

Know that I'll haunt you

because I loved you the most.

The Real Aftermath

All of the aftermaths occur after the wake of a bunch of terrible events: Hurricane
Katrina, the September 11th attacks in New York City, War in Iraq, and others. these types
of tragic events and a bunch of aftermaths have been around since the day the world was
created by God. There's no telling what will happen next if these tragedies keep coming
unexpectedly and stuff. It seems to all of the Americans today that after these tragedies
like the deaths of their loved ones, the deaths of most U.S. soldiers, Hurricanes Ike and
Rita destroying Houston, Texas, these people are trying to deal with the loss of their
homes and other people have been mourning the loss of the ones who've lost their lives to
these tragic events or by the hands of evil people. The aftermath of those events have
been haunting the lives of all U.S. citizens since day one. What makes most people sad is
that they have to deal with the fact that their loved ones are gone and other people are
still trying to deal with the fact that America almost lost its innocence, even after
9-11. These events have been talked about on the news at 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 9:00
p.m. This is so wrong, especially for us Americans. Tragedies and the aftermath of all
heartbreaking tragedies are starting to make us even more sad and depressed. Everybody
doesn't like it. And if all types of tragedies continue to rise and there's going to be
more aftermaths after those tragedies or whatever, we'll be in for a rude awakening.

Our little boys

Look at our three little boys all grown up. You'd be so proud of the men they are today. They think of you often and what'd you say to them today. I wish you could have been here to see them grow into the men they are today. Their no longer the little boys who use to need us to need us to make their bumps and bruices go away. Their now the strong men that have their own family's. You gave me three angels from above but, you were taken from us to soon. I know your always watching after them from above. Even tho their all grown up they'll always be our three little boys.

Noone Will Ever Take Your Place

Everyday I listen to songs that remind me of you,
I miss you so much I feel lost I dont even know what to do
This is the hardest thing I ever had to go threw.
I would give anything just to have you back,
But I know thats not gonna ever happen so I dont know how to act.
Now your miles & miles away,
If I had one wish it would be for you to stay.
I just hope your happy and okay.
Since I cant tell you I love you to your face
I'm writing you this poem to let you know
our memories noone can erase and in my life
noone will ever take your place.

The Old House and the New Home

The Old House and the New Home
©2011 C. Brent Cloyd

I’ve lived in houses in the country side
There with my family I did abide
By the dust and gravel of a country road
Much pride was taken in our humble abode

I’ve lived in houses perched on a hill
Many of which are not standing still
They provided shelter in their time
Provoked memories that make life rhyme

I’ve lived in a house on a city street
Where the neighbors came out at night to meet
I’ve lived in houses made of wood and stone
On avenues where children could safely roam

I’ve lived in houses of mortar and brick
Where driveways were paved and the grass was thick
I’ve enjoyed houses far better than most
Where friends would come and I could serve as host

But my current house seems like a foreign land
Where everyone wants to lend me a hand
Living in this place is not my desire
Of this arrangement I easily tire

The time has come for me to leave
To this old house I will not cleave
I no longer want a cottage here below
To a fine home in heaven soon I will go.

I long not for a mansion or streets of gold
But just a place where I will never grow old
A place where pain and sadness are never more
Where happiness is found on every shore

I am eager, yes ready, to move out
To possess my new home with a shout!
The promised home Jesus went to prepare
Death please come quickly, I want to be there.

Slipping Away

Time is slipping away,
I just don't want to stay.
Why can't you just let me stray,
The world of Black and White, has so much Gray.

Depressing days come and go,
My heart is broken, I'm all alone.
The world turns their backs and ignores nobody can know,
My heart without it's very own.

Days grow darker each minute,
I never wanted to be so deep in it.
I'm just stuck in this little pit,
Just another blow, another hit.

I lay in a ball on the dirt of my friend's grave,
Rain falling on my skin the weight, how can i be saved.
The mud that changes the dirt, stains my clothes,
This depression in my cold heart, every second it grows.

never forget 9-11

On that day we were all the same, we didn't know there faces, we didn't know
there names.
There voices we heard crying all around the world, someones loving father,
someones little girl.
On that day we were called to lead a better life, for that someones father, for that
someones wife.
The list of souls read from above before it came below why it was and why it is the
answer no one knows.
Through the pain we have learned lessons great and small, life, love, and happiness
are precious cherish them all.
With grace we all go on, but never will we forget that all of these beautiful things
can fade so very quick.
On that day we wondered, on that day we cryed, on that day we asked ourselves
what kind of man am I?
Mothers held there children for so long and oh so tight, why did these people have
to go this was not there fight.
We hope and pray for all those names, and the ones they left behind they gave
their life for a question the answer we must find.

Rosaline

Moonlight shines down on my cold, pale face I am alone, her raven calling, I am disgrace Falling as the willows weep, I hold her in my arms as she struggles to breathe Rosaline, my one love divine. You are sacred You are mine Her voice rising above the water Beautiful Rosaline sang silently to me The whispers trailing off her fingers, as she faded into the darkness My beautiful angel has vanished again Goodbye my Beautiful Rosaline. Happened that Grim reckless day when the shadows began to play Beauty detonated in my trust No more, no more will there ever be a witch so grand, as to bring back my Beloved Rosaline Sorrow cuts it's way into my heart It is the locked key, the one you keep Her voice rising above the water Beautiful Rosaline sang silently to me The whispers trailing off her fingers, as she faded into the darkness My beautiful angel has vanished again Goodbye my Beautiful Rosaline So leaving this Tragic scene I vanished from Rosaline's sight Nevermore will there ever be a witch so grand, as to bring back my Beloved Rosaline Her voice rising above the water Beautiful Rosaline sang silently to me The whispers trailing off her fingers, as she faded into the darkness My beautiful angel has vanished again Goodbye my Beautiful Rosaline. Enchanting she sang to me, in the everlasting light of peace My beautiful siren walks again Goodnight my Beautiful Rosaline

The day I die I’ll find answers

funeral pyre

funeral pyre

from the virgin flat plains
soared a modern funeral pyre
that stood so high
it could be seen miles away
with the naked eye

whose dense black smoke
released into the pure blue sky that day
the last drawn breath of many
waddling padded foot babies

like the silver blade from a heavy ancient sword
slaying the life of an innocent
white fleece lamb
too many died that day
in the heartland

The Last Post

THE LAST POST.............

Six soldiers bear a coffin,
Of a comrade killed in war.
The Union flag draped over him,
A hero to us all.

This soldier killed in battle,
In a conflict overseas.
A man who fought for his beliefs,
While defending you and me.

To the families of these soldiers,
Of my thanks I give to you.
The bravery that they have shown,
Such courage is shown by few.

A military burial, a volley of shots,
Then a flag lifted up from its host.
And as we lay him down to sleep,
A bugler then plays the last post.

God bless you our brave British soldier,
For this country still owes you a debt.
You gave up your life for our freedom,
This ex soldier will never forget.

.............Rest in peace...............

FAMILY GATHERING

The crowded room filled with family & friends has become overwhelmingly small

I’m surrounded by people who love me yet I feel like I wanna cry

Familiar hands rub my back and whispers tell me everything will be alright

In time of course? Of course

I wanna say thank you for coming but I can’t

My thickened tongue and dry throat keeps my awkward but sincere words bottled up

So I don’t respond, I can’t respond

Happiness feels like grief and home just doesn't feel like HOME

Everyone’s being so supportive but I just wanna be left ALONE

Bittersweet Serenity

Having flown with you.
  Having watched you wither.
    Beauty remains,
But the most beautiful has blown away.
    Memories remain.
      Mementoes remain.
Hate the remains of my life without you.
Mistakenly
  You have taken me
    To the open, angry earth.
You have left me to claw my casket.
    Scraping,
      Scratching,
        Spastically striving...
          To escape,
            To survive.
              I’m alive!
Withered,
  Wired,
    Watch the whimsical poet.
Flying,
  Frying,
    The bastard with the bowl.
I had five days to choose the chosen.
Five days to direct the destiny of the predestined.
    Five days done gone by...
Loved no one.
  Felt so low.
    Felt I was going nowhere...
      There was nowhere to go.
    Felt I knew no friends...
There were no friends to know.
Solitary.
  I have succumbed to seclusion.
Beat down.
  Feeling the dry ground.
    Fearing the melodic sound:
      My desperate breathing.
        My own heart beating.
But my fears could not imagine the depth of lonliness.

Remembering Him

I can’t pay attention,
They have deprived me of my perception.
My nose hurts, my eyes are sore and my frown is painful.
In a room of people who never knew him.
So sadly only I’ve seen him in eighth grade.
I was the M.C. at his graduation.
He ran up to the mic. He thanked for the award.
“Thank you”, he said.
Everyday in my mixed grade class,
He would sometimes make everyone laugh.
I wasn’t close to him, but knew enough
From seeing him and his crew everyday.

Too Late

A cold, dead sun hangs in an unearthly black sky,
Casting putrid light onto barren monotone,
He finds himself afloat as frozen minutes pass by,
No, not floating. Standing, in an of existence of his own,
Observing an alien landscape, of which he is not a part,
Detached from tearful events below,
Watching people gather, whilst waiting to depart,
The star of his own morbid show.

His gaze scans the mass of gathered faces,
Recollecting where each visage was first met,
Memories of times, people and places,
Some he loves to remember, some he longs to forget,
He identifies each person and their place within the scene,
Friends he held so dear and those he hardly knew,
Neglected family gathered together on the green,
With mother, still loving, despite all he put her through.

And then amongst the crowd he spies her,
The girl he would have married, if he’d ever dared,
To dream a life joined with another, a life laid bare,
But there never was a thing he wilfully shared,
Not possessions nor life nor heart nor truth,
Such things were his alone to be tasted,
And this to him becomes the final proof,
That his indeed was a life wasted.

The quiet audience take a solemn stance,
As the clergyman motions they are to begin,
Pall bearers bring the box to the centre of this merry dance,
No more than a shell of a man lies within,
A stranger’s words attempt to translate the soul,
As his mother looks on dry eyed and brave,
And the lonely box is lowered into the waiting hole,
An empty man in an empty grave.

Just One Drink

What did she say when you told her you still loved me?

Did she turn away or try to disagree

Did you think about her or how she would be?

No you were only thinking about me.

She stands there now, all alone

Facing her fears of the unknown

Turning her head on what she's once known

Realizing now, she's on her own

With no one around to help her choose

She stands her ground, not ready to lose

Her head held high while hearing the news

To accept her fate, she must refuse

She tries and tires with all her might

To win you back every night

She has no plans to give up the fight

Any hope is out of sight

Her heart is now filled with hatred

Will all the love that you desecrated

With just that one sentence that you stated

Her entire life is now dated

Did you ever stop and try to think,

Just how far she would sink?

How close she was to the brink?

Or how it could all end with just one drink?

Just one drink to end all the pain

Just one little sip to break the chain

Just one to do the job, to her disdain

Just one and she will die in vain.

You don't even care to attend her funeral

To you she was just a girl that you could treat cruel

How could you be such a fool?

You don't even know of the fire you've fueled.

You come to my door and ring the bell

You send thousands of messages to my cell

Repeatedly the words "I LOVE YOU" you yell

But for all I care you can just go right on to hell

I don't want you anymore you Silly boy

I am no longer your stupid little toy

As for the loneliness you feel now, I hope you enjoy

Because you had your chance and my love you destroyed.

I am my own person without you

I no longer rely on your every move

I am no longer clueless on what to do

I know now I can move on to someone new.

As for the girl that you threw aside

I hope you think of her every time you cry

You're the whole reason that she died

If you wanted someone to love, she would have been there by your side.

She would have loved you the way you love me

But you never opened your eyes and seen what there was to see

I'll never love you no matter how hard you plea

So wallow in your self pity, you'll get no remorse from me

I hope you drown in your misery

Thank God that sad little girl is finally free

Thank God I knew it was time to flee

This is goodbye, so don't bother calling me.

Fears and Tears

Fears, tears, and loss so great.
Yet it didn’t have to be done.
A car swerved, then lost control.
Now other lives are gone.

Those around so severely hurt.
Live changes can’t be undone.
Memories, horror, perhaps more loss.
Life becomes so cruel for all.

All because one chose to drink, then drive.
A choice that didn’t have to become.
Now he will live… several not…
Forgiveness may never come…

As fears, tears, and more loss will travel with the one.

One Last Glance--- SONG 1

Don’t let yourself be scared,
	be confident.
Don’t hold your soul back,
	just let it take flight.
Standing alone in an empty room
admiring art from pictures of me and you.

One glance back at the life you knew before,
One last tear that wasn’t meant to fall,
One last embrace to know you were real,
One last breath to make sure you were okay;
One glance back.

Sheltered in your arms,
a curtain of love binds me.
Hunger in your kiss,
to know that you need me.
But I’m standing alone in a crowded
room filled with people admiring pictures
	of me and you.

One glance back at the life you knew before,
One last tear that wasn’t meant to fall,
One last embrace to know you were safe,
One last breath to make sure you
were awake;
One glance back.

You left me on my own
worried sick about you, holding onto all
that was left of you. The
memory of you walking away,
with my silent prayer
hoping you would be okay. . .

One glance back. . .

		One last tear. . .

	One last embrace. . .

			One last breath. . .

One glance back at the life you had before,
One last tear that was meant to fall,
One last embrace to hold me through the
night,
One last breath just to see the
mornin’ light.
One last glance.

One last glance. . .
		One last tear. . .

One last embrace that I hold dear. . .

One last breath that saves a life. . .

One last glance good-bye. . .

				Good-bye. . .

								good-bye.

Listen -part 1-

8/11/12
----------------------------------------------------------

There is a small soul within every crowd A soft voice against the senile bickering of the strong And the small souls wish they would listen Wish you would listen But the ears of the majority have been stuffed with pride The puffed up breads have come out of the oven And the oven closes on the non-finished They were never finished The masterpiece was torn They ripped off its horn as they lavished in greed Letting the soul bleed in the cruel wreck of silent despair As they laugh knowingly and unmercifully And I am left to listen to the blood trickling, groveling at my feet I am left to the weak—the strong The purified—the gone I do not want to ruin everything by mending As everyone is breaking I am bending And my throat is constricted The air has caught wind of a little soul’s voice Begging for acceptance. . .for love For an ear that isn’t breaded with self-indulgence Crusted in disgust. . .drooping the damned I am transformed into an image of a god For this poor, sweet, ignored soul Lies are his god. . .listen to my words And rot Listen as it constricts you—as I inflict you It is better if I had never existed I will not be worshipped in this prison! You are everything to me and nothing And the cursed breads rise Sweet scents pour into your flaring nostrils Watering my sunset eyes And you see me watch as they turn their minds away A guide towards lies and sticky debris You follow the path not caring where it leads Hearing the voices that refuse to clear their ears And that therefore blind them In worry and fear I caress your tear and swallow Your words like a vacuum The disposable bag is always empty with dirt Like a hearse I drive your body away My blackness flaring My horn honking As everyone is staring. . .not wanting to know what I am carrying inside

Louder Than Thunder

All stars could be brighter
All hearts could be warmer
If i could find a place in your heart

youve written a sad song
the one i found
you were laying on the floor
holding it close to your heart

I dont think i deserved this
My heart turned into ice
Melted at the sight of your pictures

I held your hand
while you were sleeping in your casket
I kissed your cheek
While people passed your viewing

Youve written a sad song
the one i found
you were laying on the floor
Holding it close to your heart

What would it take for things to be quiet?
passing the sound of your voice
While laying on the bed we once slept in
Holding eachother for warmth

youve written the saddest song
No one can recover
Our last memory of you
Laying helpless on the floor

I could have done better
Finding my way into your heart

An Angel Message from the other side

I know you love and miss me still
You always have and always will
I am still with you and a part of you knows
But it still hurts because the body's eyes do not show
I did not leave you I never will
Even so, this part of the journey is like climbing alone uphill
So don't be surprised and I know you will
When you realize I AM here still.....

Angel Now Gone

Note: Inspired by and dedicated to Ben Breedlove and all of his family and friends. They are in my prayers and may they find peace in these tough times------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Life, so full of mysteries
But sometimes just unfair
Your life history
Laden with fervor and care

Meager glimpses of paradise
Wondering when all will lead to heaven
Wanting, waiting… patiently staying
With the family, friends, that he loves

White walls full of peace
Whispered greetings from a divine entity
Love for all will always increase
Listening to soft serenity

You touched the lives of many
Inspired by your story
You’re proof of angels on earth
God’s most precious gift

And now every night
When we look among the stars
We’ll see the one shining bright
And know just where you are

WW2 poem

Look back on the war
All that corruption
Caused by a world,
A world of destruction

All the men
Who gave their lives
And left their home
Their families, their wives

Hear the guns
Trilling out death
And through their helmets
All smell is their breath.

Into the muddy trenches again
Their retreat, their haven
With rats running over the dead
And flying over head is a lone raven

At the crack of dawn
The brave soldier awake
To the cry of guns
Enemies collecting every life they can take

They are everywhere
All their spies
Your friends, your neighbours
With evil in their eyes

Watch your mouth
Watch your back
If you do
You’ll remain intact

No real funeral
Only a shallow grave
On the battlefield
For one so brave

And what of the families
They left behind
To do good
For all mankind

Eventually we won the war
But at what cost?
For now we wear a poppy
To signify the ones we lost.

At A New Start

I know I may have never met some of you,
Because you already went on through
To the other side, where there is a new life.
I may have never understood the importance of that day
Where everyone goes into a moment of silence...
I did not understand what death was and I am somewhat ashamed
Of not even being able to know all your names.
I was so young when most of you passed away...
So young, I didn't understand what it means to love or
Be close to someone I never really knew...
I watched many people stand around what they call a grave.
Couldn't see through the crowd when I was so little.
Yet I experienced such sorrow as I got older,
Finally being able to see much closer,
Watching your box called a coffin,
Going down into the ground.
The thought of everyone I love the most will eventually die
Makes me frown and want to cry.
But I've only experienced such grief twice or more,
The rest of you...
That I never ever knew,
Were gone before I was born...
I suppose the ones before me
Had felt the same way: torn and full of tears.
One of you, have served in a great war,
And had came back home alive.
Years later
You probably saw me for the first time,? as a little baby, before the day you died.
I bet everyone had cried,
And when I read my birthday cards,
From the ones who were alive as I grew up,
I became so emotional and let out tears
Thinking "Why didn't I spend time with them...?"
All you great-grandparents of mine, only one left alive,
Are probably all in Heaven,
Because it's terrible to think that there's only the body? and nothing more...
All of you haven't gotten to the core
Of my heart, but my grief and sadness
Of a person dying will never part.
I'm sure though, that I will see all of you again,
At a new start...

Inspirational

All my bags are packed,
I'm standing at your door,
I don't want to go back,
I'm looking for more.

All my bags are packed,
I'm standing at the gates of pearl,
I don't want to go back,
I want the Lord to say I'm his girl.

All my bags are packed,
I'm waiting on God to open the gate,
I don't want to go back,
And lead me by the hand by eight.

All my bags are packed,
I love you but I'm not scared anymore,
I don't want to go back,
Oh please let me go forevermore.

All my bags are packed,
Don't want to feel so alone,
I don't want to go back,
God is calling me to his home.

All my bags are packed,
I'm leaving this place,
I don't want to go back,
I want to feel God's warm embrace.

All my bags are packed,
On Earth I feel so sad,
I don't want to go back,
On Heaven I'm very glad.

One blade,
One bloody line,
One sad girl,
One lie,
One to many lies,
One fake smile,
One tears falls,
One less days,
One day I will die, soon
One will miss me,
One rose on my grave,
One more reason to believe Im useless,
One more lie to my face,
One scar,
One love, now hate
One girl
One lonely girl,
One secert,
One dead girl,
One missunderstood

Marie III--Is the Coffin Too Deep

So frigid was her immaculate body Her last second in screams is all I can see Love's revenge was my guilt With you I'd rather let you die with Bound hands Without you, Marie, like the psychopath's dream Death is all that I can see; All that could redeem Did anyone ask Did anyone recall The sweet taste of the poison The swift slash of the knife he penetration of the lead The pain of her decaying heart I can hear it's bellowing cries But why can't you, Marie, Hear my paranoid eulogies Is the coffin too deep? Was it so hard to solve Was it so hard to see That I strangled her so easily My nails piercing her comely skin Blood dripping like the pomegranate I crushed with the shovel I shattered her shins The knife to slight her wrists Didn't you see I did it all The only witness Couldn't say Is the coffin too deep? The pain of her decaying hear tI can hear it's bellowing cries But why can't you, Marie, Hear my paranoid eulogies Is the coffin too deep? Marie I cant stay Earth is to cruel when your coffin is to deep Forever in death and in death alone The pain of her decaying heart I can hear it's bellowing cries But why can't you, Marie, Hear my paranoid eulogies Is the coffin too deep?

YOUR, DEW DROPS

Shall the truth sprout from my tongue!
That had lied too many,
But I ain't lying to you, my love
For your death, my tears, will compete with the rains,
That fills the oceans, to its full, to its brim,
And the flowers that filled your odor,
Shall not be blown with any of those of the heavens,
I am, with you, in the world of the dead,
Wandering heavily, in search of the odor,
That lighted my nose, my eyes, my heart,
In the world, where the alive, we were.

Oh my flower, shall you sprout again,
I shall never be the winds that make your petals shake,
I shall never be the bee that bite you and steal your nectar,
I shall never be the thorn that hurt you and makes you bleed…,
Oh my love, I will be your dew drops,
That touches your mind to your body,
Drop by drop, make you alive; fill your heart with a gentle chill,
Kiss you, a thousand kiss, make you smoother,
Fill your nectar with the honey, that no bee ever tasted,
Then I will dance with you, and make love to you,
To your entire petals, till I fall and take my last breath.

I wasn't a traitor, my love,
I wasn't a liar, my love,
But I cared for you as the light, the sunlight,
That watched you from a distance, from a very long distance
From the spaces, as the sun, as its light,
But couldn't touch, couldn't lay my hands on you,
On your heart, on your mind and couldn't know your pain,
Those made your petals shrink, tired, and fell one by one
Till you fell off in the search of moister, for air,
And took your last breath in front of me and died.

The ultimate price

THE ULTIMATE PRICE

Duf, duf, duf., echoed drums and trumpet sound,
And military farewell salute highly visible too,
As the body was lowered into the ground,
The final destination for the son in dignified blue!

In the darkness of the quiet, cold and rainy night,
Paramedics and nurses battled in vain to fight,
Working very hard to bring him to life,
Before his weeping children and wife.

On that fateful day, shots rang out,
As the fugitive turned about,
Hitting him in close range on his face,
From the lurking danger, he met face to face!

With his unconquerable drive to win the fight,
Against crime an oath, he did not take light,
As a selfless individual, he made the highest sacrifice
To serve but dearly, he paid the ultimate price!

He should be remembered for always triumphing at the end,
Though many trials and tribulations leading his component,
While exercising leadership, he was more gentle and more diligent,
And was prepared to take orders from superiors until his untimely end!

Dead Winter

They wanna say that I feel dead inside;
I’m no more dead than that tree in the yard.
The one with no color, no sense of direction
The one left abandoned, the one by the road.
The one that kept growing, though nobody liked it –
The one that kept living, through all of the torture.
As weird as it sounds, I kind of admire it, that tree.
Every year, it falls down.
Nature kicks it, beats it, leaves it left for dead.
Every year its covered by the ashes of the past year,
And like the phoenix, rises every year for another beating.

I know I said I was like the tree, but I’m not.
That tree is strong, noble even.
Standing tall in the realm of undead, it’s a symbol,
A beacon that there is something beyond the darkness,
Beyond the barren, beyond the white…

Lamentations

My Sunday School teacher asked me to define/describe lamentations for the beginning of our study in that Book of Scripture. I can best express myself in rhyme. While this may sound morbid, it is my definition of the word in a way that it hopefully will be understood and add credence to the study.

LAMENTATIONS

In a little country church
On the south side of town
A funeral was in progress
There was grief all around

At the front, by the altar
Stood the coffin of a child
A mother wailed with sorrow
To the point of sounding wild

Her moans and sobs, her mournful wails
Touched the hearts of everyone
This mother was lamenting
The passing of her son

Nothing seemed to comfort her
In her state of grief and sorrow
She cried and sobbed and wondered
How she could face tomorrow

Then the pastor, in his gentleness
Eulogized her child
Trying to console her
Yet knowing all the while

That all the words he uttered
Couldn't end her great frustration
There was nothing he could do
To stop her lamentation

I really never could have dreamed or even pictured the day
That the lord would take you from me but he toke you away
I deeply wish he would have toke me but instead he choose you
And now i'm lost out in this world not know what i should do
I lost a special part of me you are my heart and my soul
I seem to feel so incomplete because you made me feel whole
I never thought that at this moment i'd be having to cry
While thinking of you for a minute as i'm watching the sky
I see your face out in the darkness as i'm closing my eye's
And Sam it's hurting at this moment as i'm saying good bye
I hope you're listening to this words because they're not filled with lies
Yea you can see my deep emotion for the tears in my eye's
I never had a broken heart until that day i lost you
And on that very same day i lost a part of me to
Now while i'm still down on this earth i'm still going to do what i do
But keep a seat right beside you because i'm going to meet you there boo...........................

A Matter Of Strength

If strength is only
How well you hide the pain.
I must be truly strong spirited.

If thinking you want death
Is a matter of being gutsy enough,
Then those who're gone
Were even more strong

Rest in peace,
Yet what've they've done
Shall forever haunt me...

Her Suicide Note

We found her note
This was unexpected
It had just one quote

She thought life was worthwhile
Or so it seemed
With a smile
She always beamed

Never had we thought her
We just couldn't believe
The clues we didn't infer
We should've lifted her sleeve

It's hard to say good-bye
Why didn't she just talk
We could've held her high
But instead she chose to walk

We found her note
"This isn't worth it."
That's all she wrote

Dark Depression

Dark Depression
Suicidal Thoughts
11-18-08
William L. Moore

Let go of all the strife
Just snuff out my life
Make a strong fist
And Slit my Wrist

Make me cry
Hope to die
Call to get help
Only to Yelp

I can not stall
Just end it all
Would anyone care?
If only I dare

Would someone come by?
To check, to say goodbye
No one would crave
The stink that would Rave

This was written when the whole world was falling down around me. When life was not
important any more.

Guilty Last Goodbye

Nervous sensation, this does not feel right
Awaiting my call for my one last sight

As I walk slowly into this minimal room, I don’t want to look
A life has ended, now a closed book

My courage expands for one brief glance
This still feels wrong but I maintain my stance

Resisting my urge to turn and flee
I stay for the sake of my grieving family

One more pointless stare
This tall man looks smaller in the coffin lair

An inappropriate chuckle inside, a smile on his face
The irony is he never smiled often
For one brief moment my hard heart begins to soften

Curious glances persist
Although I try my best to resist

This still feels wrong to me, all haunting and ghostly
It’s not what I want to see, I want my last thoughts to be the happy memories

Should I feel shame for finding this wrong?
I stand all rigid, this feels so long

Or should I feel shame for my presence at an uncomfortable viewing
Would I feel guilt if I stayed home stewing

A wave of guilt descends regardless as no tears have dropped my eye
Anyway Granddad it’s time to say goodbye

Missing You

Missing You

My eyes filled up with tears when I
heard the news
it never occured to me how much
we all could really lose
Still today I have a hard time
believing that this is real
Everytime I think about you pain is
all I can feel
So as I sit here with tears rolling
down my face
I know that your in no more pain
and living in God's good grace
So on the day that God called you
home, I know that he made no
mistake
Because God only takes the best, so
it was time for you my brother to
getyou some rest
We all love you and will miss you so
very much For you were a great son,
father,
brother, cousin, fiance, friend and
such...
I refuse to say goodbye but until the
day that we meet again
Rest in heavenly peace our dear
sweet family & friend

Strong Willed

She's Strong Willed
as she holds back the tears

What had just happened
was one of her worst fears

She never thought
this day would come

The day she
would have to burry a loved one

Yet she carries herself
as if she's battling the cries

Even though the pain
inside still lies

She pushes it all
down so no one sees

That the hurt
puts her to her knees

She hides it all
behind her smile

Not knowing all
the while

That everyone can see
what is really going on

They know none of her
pain is really gone

She will pretend she
isn't upset at all

Even though the world
around her is beginning to fall

She doesn't want
no one to know how
it makes her feel

In fear of talking
might make the pain real

She is strong willed
but doesn't know

That her pain
really does show

The Higher We Fly

Bubbles flying,
oh so high,
soaring higher,
til they die,
rainbows and sunshine,
camouflage,
fooling everyone,
like a mirage,
we believed,
we'd go as high,
like two diamonds,
in the sky,
now we're lying,
on the ground,
from my lips,
there is no sound,
like the bubbles,
love's a lie,
it lifts you up,
right before you die...

The Stars Aren't Out Tonight

The stars aren't out tonight
And I can't see the light in your eyes
The new moon makes the night too dark
It's getting harder and harder to find my way
The light fades to even deeper shades of gray
Lips grow colder and breathing gets slower
I can't seem to bring you back to life
Please don't leave me. I'm not strong enough
The pieces you held are still too fragile
Falling to the floor, glistening like new born stars
We share the last breath and my eyes shut tight
A single tear rolls down your cheek
The last time I call you mine
The last time you call me baby
The black attire goes with the parents who bury their children
Red rose falling against the mourning skies
This is the end of a love story that never was

Without The Box

So, there you are
Returned from fighting another mans war
Heard you’re quite the hero
Good for you my friend
Twenty years young
Couldn’t wait
To kick some terrorist ass
And so you did
So very well indeed I hear
Now you’re back
Nothing more to kick
What are you to do with yourself
Lying there as you are
Look at all of us here
To welcome you back
Can you not hear the joy
Can you not see the happiness
Or is it all hidden behind the tears
So here you are returned
In a flawless uniform
Lying there all smug and confident
With a peaceful look
Here you are returned
Fresh off the plane
In a nice tight package
Here you are returned
To never leave again
Good to have you back my friend
Only wish it could have been

A journeys end

Will I ever see you again?
hear your voice, see you smile.

Feeling so alone all the while.

Funeral a sad occassion
peoples cries
peoples whispers
They put the lid upon the coffin

Feeling so alone all the while.

Anger, despair, fear and grief
why did you have to depart and break my sad lonely heart?

Will I ever see you agin?
hear your voice, see you smile.

Graveyards a sorry sight yet a feeling of peacefulness desends upon me.
Can you hear my cries hear my voice.

A loved one lossed.

Crush and Crushed

In the beginining,
There was a girl.
She was on a rollar coaster.
She saw her crush.
He ignored her.
He thought she was annoying.
He thought she was petiful.
Little did he know,
She would die that day.
Here's her story.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Little, little girl,
No cares in the world.
Bruises on her face,
Crazy on her trace.

Little, little girl,
Little, little crush.
Little, little love,
Little, little to much.

Only on a rollar coaster,
Would she believe,
She was air.
Carelessness filled her head,
Little, little so much dread.
The boy she liked,
Walking around with so much might,
Little, little did he know that she would die.

Little, big circle coming up,
She was on bottom the cart on top.
Watching the cart fallin',
He didn't know she was calling,
His name.

Heaven reached to her,
But she kept herself on earth,
Until she could see him again.

Only on a rollar coaster,
Would she believe,
She was air.
Carelessness filled her head,
Little, little so much dread.
The boy she liked,
Walking around with so much might,
Little, little did he know that she would die.

Tell him, tell him how you feel,
Little did you know it would feel so real.
Now that she was dead he started thinkin',
Was she crazy or was she worth loving?

Only on a rollar coaster,
Would she believe,
She was air.
Carelessness filled her head,
Little, little so much dread.
The boy she liked,
Walking around with so much might,
Little, little did he know that she would die.

Now she's going to heaven,
So many things she hasn't done.
She sees the door and,
Remembers her amore.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------

Later that night,
After he saw her die,
He commited suicide.
His parents found a note from him.
"I saw her die,
 I love her,
I am going to be with her.
 I'm sorry"
He didn't go to heaven,
Neither did she,
They are both stuck in limbo,
At least they have each other.

Being The Victim

It's a hard life,
and a sad one at that,
they pull on my hair,
and they call me fat

Their words are like bullets,
and I am under attack,
it's getting too much,
I slip through the crack

I try and claw back,
but they push me back down,
they slapped my smile away,
leaving only a frown

The lies continue,
and I don't tell a soul,
things get much worst,
I fall in a hole

A hole of emotion,
from which I never return,
I prey to my god,
but they never learn

They mess with my mind,
And they ruin my life,
drive me to the edge,
I pull out a knife

They cry at my funereal,
as if they knew me well,
people feel sympathy for them,
why did I not tell?

Return To Dust

Until the casket falls. Until the last soul is called. Until the final breath is drawn . When the dirt is unearthed and spirits breathe again, taunting demons will reign as frozen screams pierce the wind. Until the casket falls. Until the last soul is called. Until the final breath is drawn. The porcelain hand grazing the box, a bloody knife into the flesh of the only one I've ever loved. Wake from your silent slumber, whisper the words so sacred so somber. Until the casket falls. Until the last soul is called. Until the final breath is drawn. I won't say goodbye. I dare not cry. A voice hauntingly quiet will shout in my mind. Give me a chance to fight away the wicked words. Until the casket falls. Until the last soul is called. Until the final breath is drawn. The ghosts of my past breathing down my back. The bitter silence fades into screams. A mourning moon sighs in disapproval, I never meant to leave. Until the casket falls. Until the last soul is called. Until the final breath is drawn. Shadows melting into the dark. Apparitions haunting me as I turn to find the light. Twisted lies cause me to trip, and so I fall helplessly, deeper and deeper into the serpent's blackened venomous pit. Until the casket falls. Until the last soul is called. Until the final breath is drawn. A fallen angel looms above the stone, confining the gnosis. Give me the courage to sleep in the arms of death, immortal I lie, chained within a hollow coffin. Until the casket falls. Until the last soul is called. Until the final breath is drawn. Despair beckons a world enchanting. I fall into paradise, the breath of innocence surrounding me. My body numb and lifeless, I surrender my all to you. I need only the key of sorrow to lead me through. Until the casket falls. Until the last soul is called. Until the final breath is drawn. The solitude is euphoric as an illusional cloak of silver spiders swallows the last soul. Goodnight black rose of eternity. Goodbye dearest gothic phantom. Tonight the earth will again consume me. I'll return to dust when all is done. When the casket falls. When the last soul is called. When the final breath is drawn.

Blood of a liar, mark of a thief

You took it all
(I held my breath)
You screamed my name
(as you fell to your death)
The crowed gathered round
but I stood tall
with your body laying so broken
you've never looked so small

The rain started pouring down
(oh how I smiled)
There were sirens in the distance
(only a half a mile)
Down below the screaming sounds
I can't hear a thing
everyone's gaze is upon me
waiting for the once caged bird to sing

(Liar)
You promised me everything
did your words mean nothing
were they empty
lifeless without a theme
(Thief)
You took hold of my heart
shredded my soul, raped my mind
did it mean anything
was I even worth it
ir just another part to your scheme

The rain washes away the evidence
(the blood, sweat, and tears)
But rain can't wash away everythng
(no, not everything)
not the pain suffered through the years

Your words were so sweet
who was I to judge
I fell for your parlor tricks
over the edge with one small nudge
Such a beautiful disguise you wore
silly little me
I fell into your web of lies
far too young to ever see

(Liar)
You promised me everything
did your words mean nothing
were they empty
lifeless without a theme
(Thief)
You took hold of my heart
shredded my soul, raped my mind
did it mean anything
was I even worth it
ir just another part to your scheme

You could have been mine
(does it hurt now, hush, be quiet now)
You sold your soul for a good time
(does it hurt now, hush, don't speak now)
Did you think I'd never know?
(does it hurt now, does it hurt now)
Now you must reap the crop you've sewn

(Liar)
You promised me everything
did your words mean nothing
were they empty
lifeless without a theme
(Thief)
You took hold of my heart
shredded my soul, raped my mind
did it mean anything
was I even worth it
ir just another part to your scheme

(Liar)
You had such a pretty little plan
(Thief)
Carried out by such a careless little man

Stuck in Limbo

Trapped behind these bars I grow anxious and continuously scheme For a way to get out. But this cage is extensive And its door is a long ways out. I try to squeeze through, but they constrict And ultimately I fail. I am strong but these bars won't bend. Its useless and I am spent There is no more fight, my flame-extinguished I am rationed-it keeps me weak Eyes strained and muscles sore I surrender. With eyes closed, I give in to this abuse Losing my conscious with every lash and lick. Then I wake up from that nightmare only to hit my head on an even lower cage ceiling And it starts again. But there is no door and I have no rations. The claustrophobia sets in, and the air is heavy. Like breathing in cotton, I struggle And loose feeling; due to the lack of oxygen My lungs stutter and protest but they can't be filled Hardly the energy to produce a tear, I blackout instead. Only to wake up, cramped in a stale box. Its quiet and I can't breathe. The only company I have is the sound of my heart. The beats are slow and muffled, as it desperately tries to pump blood. I still can't feel anything-But I think its cold. I've been suffocating for what seems like hours. Its been a week and my mouth is dry with dirt, I can no longer open my eyes. Its been awhile and no ones noticed. The sound of my heart has escaped my ears, I think its cold but i still can't feel. I re-live death, Stuck in Limbo

Where was his helmet

Into the midnight cold he rides;
a chance travel, on the wild side;
this is the vision, that always repeats,
whenever I think about that curvy Rockford Street.
Alone he travels on his way home,
until a mystery sends him flying into the air,
and has him crashing into the ground far from the road.
Where was his helmet? O’ where was his helmet?
In pain he lays all alone,
until two-friends rush to his aid,
and frantically made emergency calls from his phone;
paramedics arrive and relieve his friends,
as his journey into the unknown slowly begins.
Where was his helmet? O’ where was his helmet?
Now in a hospital lying on a bed,
with nothing but sheer pain streaking through his head,
mom rushes into the hospital with one of her sons by her side,
the other son was in Iraq unaware awaiting R&R and waiting on his airplane ride;
a devastated mother and a saddened brother both watched as the youngest sighed,
eyes watery with tears as they watched him slip into the cold night.
Where was his helmet? O’ where was his helmet?
I received the terrible news while I was in Ballad waiting for a good plane,
instead I was rushed to an awful flight and my heart felt immense pain;
I begged and I pleaded with God,
Please O’ please let this plane crash and let everyone but me live,
I love my youngest brother take me O’ Lord, take me instead;
he is too young God; he hasn't truly experienced life,
my goodness he was only twenty-eight and never had his own family, nope not even a wife;
by the time I made it to Rockford it was too late,
my youngest brother was forever gone as a chance travel sealed his fate;
tears in my eyes the pain still burns deep I must admit,
with only one question in my mind;
Where was his helmet? O’ where was his helmet?

The Sixes and Sevens Veil

All of those words and emotions Are tired of lingering in my throat and Mind I want to caress them onto you But how can I? Anon. there might be a time in our days I want to tell you-- I'm worthless, Broken, Diedre, Torned, Discarded, Abuse The past shouldn't control the present but it lingers in my spirit The words need to come out The Darkness with Them What if the truth couldn't set me free, save me from this candled day Underneath the Grove lies something dark, haunted, and confused Hidden in Life aren't we all abused Why can't Eyes see what lies beyond The Sixes and Sevens Veil I can't discard the decay But I'm still entrouved by the past days why can't eyes see what lies beyond The Sixes and Sevens Veil Shrouded against our will too scared to show our bare Vulnerable Shadowself It was the ignorance's bliss that caught you The Knowledge creates a burden Too Difficult to Maintain or was it I? trying to be part of your soul The Decay of Your Heart Sadness can be cured by a few words Despair is a disease of the Knife The Eclipse stole the Sun's Sinlight Underneath the Grove lies something dark, haunted, and confused Hidden in Life aren't we all abused Why can't Eyes see what lies beyond The Sixes and Sevens Veil I can't discard the decay But I'm still entrouved by the past days why can't eyes see what lies beyond The Sixes and Sevens Veil You can to try to condemn the pain Inside But only I can feel the Decay of my heart I know the quill is better than the razor But only I can feel the Decay of my heart Remember your eyes are hazed by bias lies But only I can feel the Decay of my heart Underneath the Grove lies something dark, haunted, and confused Hidden in Life aren't we all abused Why can't Eyes see what lies beyond The Sixes and Sevens Veil I can't discard the decay But I'm still entrouved by the past days why can't eyes see what lies beyond The Sixes and Sevens Veil You can to try to condemn the pain Inside But only I can feel the Decay of my heart I know the quill is better than the razor But only I can feel the Decay of my heart Remember your eyes are hazed by bias lies But only I can feel the Decay of my heart

to think he finally found his answer to
releif,
would only leave pain and greif.
to end his own suffering and
pain.
what would friends and family have to gain?
his life felt pointless thanks to past pain, abuse, and lifes trials and tribulations.
suicide was not tha answer,
if he only knew he shoulda been thankful.
what he went through was horrible
yes
but staying possitive was tha
test.
everything happens for a reason,
to find strength in god to breathe another season.
this was not destiny nor
fate.
he had a whole life ahead of him now its to
late.
now near a casket they sit at his wake.
maybe it coulda been prevented if he knew he wasnt alone
instead of taking a life in his own home..
Reach out your not alone
god has a purpose for all us.....

So Tiny

The thoughts of you, brings tears to my eyes. The tiny eyes, that I'll never get to look into. The tiny hands, I'll never get to hold. My heart breaks, when I think about, the tiny heart I'll never get to feel, the tiny voice I'll never get to hear, the tiny body I'll never get to hold closely. So tiny, So small. but our love for you, so strong.

life defined

I have so many wounds that there is no way they can ever be healed.
The kindest of hearts, I have turned them against me-
running from and distrusting their intentions.
I have hurt a lot of innocent souls that deserved so much more love and sacrifice.
My heart screams for compassion as my diseased brain confuses
my thoughts into a foggy web of unnatural feelings and unfounded sadness.
The meaning of my pain and frustration hidden in words no human can translate.
Where is the peace promised through love that exists only by voices from the past?
What is truth but not a whisper of perception?
Tears fail to sooth my weary spirit as it screams to escape a hell of battered flesh.
Fear drags me into darkness and into crevasses that deepen
each moment of every hour as I await my inevitable demise.
The meaning of life may not be as elusive as pondered.
Death is the destination therefore life must be the adventure,
the trip from death to death.
Before we live we are dead so death is our beginning and our end.
Life is death in waiting.

Alone in a Big, Bright World

Alone, alone and watching the midnight full moon

Alone, alone and carrying a curse that should feel like a boon

Alone, alone in a lonely house and peering into the wintry, foggy gloom

Alone, alone in a big, bright world and it seems the only one alone is a loon.

Alone, alone and staring into the fire

Alone, alone and sinking, into the bog, into the mire

Alone, alone in the heart of the woods and watching a burning pyre

Alone, alone in a big, bright world and it seems the only one alone is a liar.

Alone, alone and looking into my soul

Alone, alone and knowing, never can I fill this hole

Alone, alone in a dark void and surviving without a goal

Alone, alone in a big, bright world and it seems the only one alone is not whole.

Alone, alone and standing, facing the sea

Alone, alone and not knowing what might be

Alone, alone in the darkness and feeling it creeping over me

Alone, alone in a big, bright world and it seems the only one alone is me.

how can i drive if i can't keep my eyes off the sky

Soul surrender, each reach opaque, gathered incomplete gain; all willingly given for millisecond sight of sky as was eons ago, day guide towards monolith riseth ten thousand kilometers. Sadness

The women stood in front of the table
Her sad hands
Empty
Hallow
With nothing
she looked at her daughter
smiles and laughter
i wish her the best
nothing less
the sun shines on your golden hair
i love you, dear
Dont get hurt
promise me you wont
take my hand
one last time
forever more
say that you must
smile
dance
laugh
sing
just promise me you will dream
when i fade to grey
you are getting older
you have a life
children of your own
you start to cry
clutch to my hand
ill never leave
im always here
Clinging...

Final Call

Stop
close your eyes
it's all been done
now pay the price
can't help it now
you've lost it all
hold your breath
it's final call

Don't need anybody
don't make a sound
just close your eyes
let it all crash down
won't hear anybody
never make a sound
when the blood hits the sink
and there's darkness all around

Do it now
that's what you hear
the voice in your head
is loud and clear
what happens next
is up to you
do you drop the blade
before life drops you

Stop
just close your eyes
it's all been done
you've paid the price
can't help it now
you've lost it all
no more breath
at this final call

Heaven

Even though you're gone, you're still with me here. Forever I await you, silent in tears. Breathing is like bleeding the pain of my soul, finding my way back to the path is like finding the light and you're guiding me safely home. Damned to eternal battle, you had the will, but lost the fight. Goodbye is now forever, and not just for the night. If I reach Heaven will I find you there? My question lingers in the cold and hollow cemetery air. Frozen you lie at my feet, your stone glints in the forsaken moonlight, petrified by the sorrow that consumes me, I cannot find the strength to leave. Give me an answer so that I will be satisfied... You lie so silent, and so the memories I have left of you slowly rewind in my grieving mind. If I reach Heaven will I find you there?

Rain Drops

Tear drops falling from the sky
Each one has a sad story to tell
Who will listen?
And who will wipe them off their windsheild?
Tear drops everywhere
Ending their lives on the streets
Why do people find their sounds so peaceful?
Each tear drop is a musical note
Playing its own little, sad song
For the people willing to listen

Silence

After millions of seconds,
every second seeming,
much longer than the other.
All we wanted was good news,
all we wanted was you...

 A night with little excitement
only listening to the music,
and watching stars make lame jokes,
my sister and I heard a ring,
only faint cause the phone was outside.

Praying that everything was all right
we only wanted you safe,
we hear a sob from my mom.
As the moment my life fell apart
the good news never came.

You ran,
you jumped,
you swam,
you quit.
Why?
I don't understand.

We still haven't stopped asking questions,
Why you? Why us? Why then?
Those questions will never be answered.
It's been almost five years
Why?!

When you left you took a part of us with you,
My mom says hello,
Can you say hello to Ashley for me?
I hope you take her camping, and watch the stars at in the sky.
I hope everything's alright.

I know your dad came to join you,
Does it make you happy when people join you,
maybe that's what was going through my sisters mind,
maybe we all miss you more than you'd expect

Ever since you've been gone,
there has been a silence,
never questioned cause we don't want to face the truth
I wonder if you had more time if you wouldn't have done it,
do you regret it, or do you like the silence in the clouds.

We will never understand why you ran.
Life hasn't been the same since,
it's gone done hill from there,
you will always be in my thoughts.

Inlove With Her And Novacaine

Never knew love the way I know it now
Never will I know even when I ask how
She left and that was all
I'm trying desperately to climb outside this wall
I grip the roses stem and blood drips down my wrist
I drop to the floor, put my hands on my forehead while in a fist
We shared an oath from our lips to Gods ears
I placed myself in front of her knife to the heart to quench her fears
It killed me to love and lose
I'm losing sleep so I smash my clock back to snooze
I can't believe I thought she was the one to save me
It turns out she was the one to enslave me
My trust ran deep like blood coursing through her vein
I need to numb the bitter taste so I use novacaine
The thought of her is making my heart race
My walls are gone and now I have too much space
I think my loss is starting to hit me
I can't breathe at the thought that she will forget me
I fall from my knees with my face sideways on the floor
I grip the rose tighter & tell myself I don't want to love evermore
I'm fighting the truth and reality at this time
I'm in too deep, I'm too weak to climb
I feel a cold running through my veins followed by a last chill
My eyes are awake yet my body lie still
The lights are dimming and my life is flashing in spurts
I guess this is what it means when they say love hurts...

The Day I Lost You

Ever since that cold day my life's been hard since you went away.
I think about you every day and wonder why things had to be this way.
Now that your gone my life will never be the same.
My days are filled with pain.
My nights are filled with fear, fear of waking up knowing you wont be there.
Your the only person who cared.
Your the only person I could trust.
I'd give anything just to have back the days when it was just the two of us.
But I know that will never be, and it hurts to know your not here with me.
I know you would want me to be strong, and to be the best I can be.
I know this cause I am a of you like you were a part of me.
Somehow I will make it through.
In my mind I have memories of you, and these will never fade or go away.
Even though you are no longer alive in my heart you will never die.

Echoes

Why can I still feel you?
Shouldn't you be gone?
I watched the coffin lower
Felt my heart brake
Yet when I'm alone
You wrap yourself around me
And I can't breathe
Because all I will smell is you
And I can't look
Because all I will see is you
And I can't think
Because all my thoughts will be of you
Your presence is unwelcome
All I want is to move on
Yet your dragging me under
When it should be you in the ground

What good is

What good is a flower
with petals that shine so bright
that lives in the shadows
of a deep and endless night

What good is a dove
who has lost it's mate
that wanders the world alone
the remains of his life colored slate

What good is a life
where nothing is right
where rain smothers everything
extinguishing every light

Slipping fast
I'm calling out
I'm barely hanging on
Don't look back
No can't go back
The life I once knew is gone

What good is a mind
that's bend is broken
laying frozen in time
a secret song unspoken

What good is a heart
that can't see love
that's shattered so
with no hope from above

What good is a life
where there's nothing left
the corners are empty
marks of an unknown theft

Falling fast
I'm calling out
I could no longer hang on
Don't look down
Can't ever go back
The life I have will soon be gone

What good is a body
once beautiful and pure
that lays on the ground
broken and insecure

What good is a soul
that was once so light
not a moment of anger
to stain the perfect white

What good is a life
when no one cares
just to see how close you are
to wonder if you'll take the dare

Slipping fast
I'm silent now
There's no use in hanging on
No looking back
No going back
The life I lived is long gone

for vera

God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be
So he wrapped his arms around you
And whispered "come to me"

You didn't deserve what you went through
So he gave eternal rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best

And when I saw you sleeping
so peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again

Mental Masochism

Welcome to the old you Hello, Hello, Despair so Crude, Dreams are gone Yet we still follow the old Path Where empathy kills And the Sympathy we find is another Lie You were born to deceive A puppet-master of emotion Back off this fixation while you have a chance Who Would Want To Be This Cold? Sorrow-- My Emotional High Who Would Want To Be This Cold? Better to be Frozen than Numb Who Would Want To Be This Cold? Exchange pleasure for pain It's all coming t you The facade of Joy falls again Violet Hearts crush easy Your Pain you don't Want this Your Sorrow, You Want This Back off this fixation while you have a chance Who Would Want To Be This Cold? Sorrow-- My Emotional High Who Would Want To Be This Cold? Better to be Frozen than Numb Who Would Want To Be This Cold? Back off this fixation while you have a chance Who Would Want To Be This Cold? Sorrow-- My Emotional High Who Would Want To Be This Cold? Better to be Frozen than Numb Who Would Want To Be This Cold?

Trash

Everything we are told as a child is true, me for example.
Trash
Soulless
Everything they told me is true
Why should you think any different
All my life has been nothing but pain and I honestly think I deserved it
I deserved the pain when I was young is a constant reminder that I will always be nothing
I will only be trash
Because who could love something that is only a bringer of pain
I only give what I was always given as a child
The whipping
The beating
I had it coming
I could have stopped it but what was the point
Why stop what you brought upon yourself
I will always be nothing more then trash
I will always be reminded of it
I can never do anything right when I was young
And it has not changed
I will go to Hell
But honestly what is Hell but something of the mind
Something we trick ourselves into thinking is bad
If Hell is of the mind
I go there every time I close my eye
And there is no saving me from a pain that is written down in stone
I will die with no love for no one can love the soulless.
I often sit in wonder,
I know my life is good now, I have my wife and maybe someday children
But one day they will leave me because they will see me for what I am
Trash
They will put me on the curb like everyone else
Or be like those who cant
And just pretend to love me
Just because they have pity for me.
I know I cant become anything in this world
I may go to school or work at a job but its so I can feel like im doing something
But I know it will be for nothing
Because how can nothing have something?
You may read this and criticize me,
He is strange
He is weird.
I am who I am because of what happen.
Until you understand that, I don’t need you pity.
I don’t need people to remind me I’m trash.
I already know.

our memories

our past errors are the thugs of our present terrors
we are tortured by nature while we are being deceived by destiny.
the rareness of our thoughts was curdled with valuable ideas that made us ideal.
we are rare values not because of our thoughts but because of the ordainment of our memories through our valuable ideas. and now my greatest surprise is now my greatest fear because my quest received a guest and from then i had no rest because am yet to win the test. death you have licensed my thoughts to sweet but soured memories. we can't erase the memories of our life true second chance because we gave it the first chance to be there.

God why

Everyday that passes by I sit and wonder and ask god why?

Why did he have to take you from us so soon?

The lord replied my child do not be sad do not cry do not sit and wonder why

I took her home she needed to rest and know she is in heaven with one of the best

Her task on earth must be left undone now you must learn to stand as one

Be strong all those feelings will soon pass everything will get better at last

She has left for now but not for good this to must be understood

At the end of her day there was no more time for her to laugh, work or play

I have decided her fate she has entered heavens gates her journey has not ended it has only

Begun we will rise again just east of the sun so until that day that I call you home

you must remember my child that you are never alone.

WE

By Robielynn Collins

 It wasn't my fault,
that 45' to your head,
what was going through your mind,
could not be said,
the pain you we feeling,
the hurt that you felt,
the emotions gone crazy,
because what life had dealt,
so in one little moment,
you took your own life,
and ended the turmoil,
the pain,
and the strife,
but for those left behind,
especially me,
I had to come to terms,
It would no longer be 'we'!

Only She Cries

What If I told You That I Loved you
would we care
would we die
 Chains surrounding Alice
Only She Cries

World Banished her
Love left her
all Alone
Melancholia presides over

Alice dies again
Will she ever reign

Will she ever see
what’s here to be
Only She Cries

She’s a ghost
Nobody to call Her name
Only She Cries
will she not live
whispers of her Raven mind
only control her
There’s no hope
Only she Cries
What If I told You That I Loved you

Empty Without a savoir
Will She ever be cured from this
will she breakaway
Gaia couldn’t be so cruel
Just to wail away—Let the Banshee Crie
Just wail away the pain
wail away the pain

Enter my heart and you’ll see
that Was the only thing you could ever need
Alice; only she cries
let it show
That love never dies
Through Euphoria
through melancholia

She’s a ghost
Nobody to call Her name
Only She Cries
will she not live
whispers of her Raven mind
only control her
There’s no hope
Only she Cries
What If I told You That I Loved you

She’s a ghost
Nobody to call Her name
Only She Cries
will she not live
whispers of her Raven mind
only control her
There’s no hope
Only she Cries
What If I told You That I Loved you

You didn’t know
how you could save her
Only if you could her
Alice dies
Only she cries

a life so young

A life that touched so any hearts. Now so tragicaly it departs. From up above she hears us cry. And wishes that our tears would dry. She wants us to all be strong She wants to know that nothings wrong. Forever in our hears she'll be In the hearts of you and me.

Depart

He is in a spot I have never seen him before
A position I cannot fathom
Recognize
His hand folded on his chest
Wishing for one last breath
His care left us with everything
But what we didn’t know was that he was
It never called for rain but it did that day
He never was all there anymore
And the song started playing
The guns went off
And my respect left for this man
Through battles he helped us all
Through it all we kept us alive
And he passed us by with a fair well
And a departure
For everything
And we was something to everything
We was everything to us

What a Lost Soul

Since I am Here The Veil grows Stronger but, You're not here for me I'm just-- Another Lost Soul you know, The people you find on the curbs on streets, During Rainy Days not going anywhere but Deeper into their own Disease but, It's not a disease, for they look for cures for diseases Here the patient cares not Only I could say something like that but since I'm here I just might as well sit on the curb on a rainy day and drown in a new-state-disease what A lost soul I am never enough could satisfy always more What a Lost Soul

Babydoll

Trying to escape from it all I detach from reality Knowing my spirit will be Safe Too much torment have I gone through To know that this story is truly mine Cut me off no matter how much I'll always find a way To fight and survive your kingdom I'm the only thing you desire I'm the only thing you hate I'm the only thing you need I'm you little Babydoll In my mind there is a haven Only I can enter, but everyone else is there Its there I will find a new tactic To keep on living in your torment On the way home I'll die a few times But just to know I really lived I'll have to find a new way to bleed If I want to escape I'll have to loose myself Cut me off no matter how much I'll always find a way To fight and survive your kingdom I'm the only thing you desire I'm the only thing you hate I'm the only thing you need I'm you little Babydoll Cut me off no matter how much I'll always find a way To fight and survive your kingdom I'm the only thing you desire I'm the only thing you hate I'm the only thing you need I'm you little Babydoll

People Die, Love Does Not

Cursed with the silence of a thousand years, he entered the land of the lost. Without giving more than a quick glance, His eyes remained locked shut, For he knew that they could not handle such a terror. He cried for the first time, as his Father was lowered six feet into the Earth. He unwillingly watched, While his whole being was filled with the utmost horrific form of agony imaginable. As the burial came to an end, everyone came to him and apologized. They do not realize that this only causes his suffering to grow. When the crowd dispersed, All that was left was him and a flower covered grave. He sat until the moon rose, and finally spoke. "I love you, Dad."

Come Home

I miss you all too much
Look down from up above
I'm waitin' by the door
Won't you come home my love?

I sit up in our bed
I listen for your car
I don't let my eyes close tight
Why'd you go so far?

I can't forget your face
You are all I see tonight
Do you hear my plea?
"Please come and be with me."

Let's hold hands one last time
If you can't come to me,
Then I'll just come to you.

My Funeral (angel of sadness)

I am human
Cumulative to a being
Carrying the trial of a few men
Baring the suffering of a new sin
You say you’d cry for me
But will the world be rejoiceful or sad when you begin
For these reasons my funeral will not be a sad day
Holidays come and pass
For some they last
For others it’s a finale in one gasp
Loved ones will stand and fall
As the above Son will demand you call
And now we dream this impossible dream
Witness your misery blossom in our scene
There is no sanctuary in between
Now you see why my funeral will not be a sad day
Moments of triumph
Being more than we have ever had, okay
The dimming of lights
Sadly the peace we have ever known, so pray
Your heavens will not receive me
Driven below, yet these temperatures only tease me
Why do I not learn?
If it says it’s hot, why do I touch it and expect it not to burn
I don’t beg forgiveness
I break legs for living in stress
And for these reasons my funeral will not be a sad day
