The Enchanted Dream

How sweet the soothing songs of May Reposed upon the fragrant breeze The comely songs were Seagulls play On the lulling trembling seas. That dissolved the traces of your feet That lingered in the distant sands While the sultry beams unite to meet The carnal rosebuds of your hands. That blush in light the morning spray Descending warmly in your eyes Who knew the light of love this day Would lift me up to a new sunrise. Yet in the sunless fleeting hour I would hold you in my smile Or steal a kiss from you my flower In this languid scented isle. That quivers in the blue distance When tender birds are fast asleep When blazing stars of night entrance The lonely fountains glistening deep. I would hear your whispers by the sea On the soothing waves of night Its mellowed voice would comfort me When the winds would take to flight. To the starry distance and empty spaces That holds the night sky of your hair On hallowed streets and sleepless faces It blows the Eastern dews most fair. And on the enchanted blossom rare That I'd finally pluck in spring To bow and give to you my dear With this golden diamond ring.

One Autumn Night

On a desolate splendor of this autumn night
We listen to the serene call of the gleaming moonlight
Deciduous trees stand tall to acclaim its magnificence
Conducting the melodious whispers of the cold and gentle wind
As each golden neon foliage shimmers and pirouettes on view
You hold me tight as I hold you, too
For this autumn night will rise the citadel of love…just me and you

Speak of thee

He is above us in the clouds
run through the fields and speak of thee
                                              He will grow roses

I will be the stem of the roses
for I shall never leave your soil

You will be the tree I grow beneath
and he will be our rain.

A Memo As You Go

In four days from today
I wish you well as you go, and you shall walk again
Through the shadow of the day
Where memory forever my spirit keep in chain
And you shall inhale once more
Jasmines naked and dancing to the silver moon
Or hear whispering for sure
The tides that salt us that unwrinkled June
And I shall be far away
Praying as I always pray, waiting your return
To mend broken gaps of day
While among the yellow leaves I walk and yearn

Do not forget me, dearest
Do not with moon or river wander far away
But on pillow of your breast
Give me my rest, give me my hope to play
For bird songs there I know rise
Like angels vestal choir, or sirens seductive song
May bring the heart new surprise
Against all witchery there, keep your love strong
Walk by lignum vitae bloom
Cradle the blue mountain misty morning shape
Tremble at its thunder boom
And toss your cares across the bright sunlit landscape

There is healing in that place
A certain balm, and invigorating freedom there
An edible sense of grace
So delicious to those who walk with feet bare
Like children before the change
And yet for all the beauty and the music I keep
Another memory strange
The place where in my arms a princess fell asleep
The place where your kiss became
The elixir for which kings and heroes search and died
Where first the stag was made tame
No other beauty there may so my joy provide.

With you in autumn evening

The sweet songs of birds, We hand in hand across the lawn, Pansies white yellow and violet Tossing their heads in the breeze. Somewhere the sound of falling leaves. The sound of squirrel cracking the walnut. Calm weather warm sun, White fluffy clouds forming different shapes, A passenger flight in the blue sky, Sun born in the horizon and about to fade in the horizon, Both our heartbeats echo inside of chest, Shutting and opening of our lips, Your unkempt hair flying backwards, Yellowish west sky. Heart shaped fig leaf's shadow. If I could stop this world from spinning, I would do so, Just to be with you In this autumn evening.

Jungle Love

Your sweet nectar
wraps around my senses
like jungle vines
steady drums beating
Your heart near mine

Your strong hands
hold me suspended
by my waist
Just enough pain and strength
against my supple skin
For my taste

The musk of your
sculpted body and the forest
has me going wild
But yet, the tender way you
protect me, reminds me of
Being a child

A safe familiarity
with a strain of animalistic
seduction
Your invisible hold over me
leaves me arrow poisoned
Unable to function

My long dark hair wraps you
with smells of coconut and ocean Sun
your locks full of mud and enemies
Blood
together, my warrior
We make One

Walk Of Love

The dark clouds threatened rain in the late evening sky.
They decided to take an umbrella in order to stay dry.
Their happiness was evident on each others face.
As they eagerly tucked an arm around each others waist.

Their conversation was easy as they matched each others stride.
Their eyes lit with glee from the love they felt inside.
They smiled at each other as the summer rain began to fall.
No where on earth they rather be, a special glance said it all.

They stopped upon a bridge as lightening streaked the sky.
Thunder rumbling loudly made the girl hug tighter her guy.
The rain falling heavily now dancing in the river below.
They shared a tender kiss, neither afraid to let their feelings show.

The summer rainstorm suddenly ended as quickly as it began.
In time for an amazing sunset, the first shared by this woman and man.
A smiling mother nature must have thought what else could she bestow.
For in the sky a crescent moon appeared and a spectacular rainbow.

They both knew that this shared experience was a rare one indeed.
Both realizing their love is magical and that they better take heed.
To let a special love like theirs slip away would be such a crime.
For true love is precious and comes around only once in a lifetime.

`Let us forever continue this "Walk of Love".

Memories etched in the sand

Sifting warm sand
through my fingers,
shimmering fine grains
glitter my palm.
Sand,
filled with life’s memories
of nut brown days
of summer.

A soft silk breeze
formed dunes
with our dreams
that summer
when we danced to the stars.
My heart laced yours
listening to the sea
undulating waves of emotion
as we kissed
on the velvet strand.

I still hear
the rhythm of the ocean.
Waves tumbling in unison,
a sweeping sound
gently caressing
as we lay silently
listening to sand
shifting over stone
to the faint chiming
of seashells.

My first love
a sea salted embrace
on a breast of sand.
The memories
forever held
in the sand
in glitter on my hand.

Woodland Romance

"A woodland path in the dappled sun hushed and quiet"

As creamy blue cloud rests on tall tender trees
Peeps of early morning sun still awakes dossing greens
Dull dews are yet to vanish from their sheltering leaves
Silences of monastery still arrest woodland paradise
The songbirds are yet to reveal songs schedule of the day
The echoing breath of nature
Still nurture patient under slumber's custody
Only four naked legs print love on woodland moldered leaves
A perfect sanctuary for lucky cupid and Venus
As calming breezy strokes of nature
Lull perfectly braided hairs
Affection breathes rhythm to drumming tongues
Sweeping feelings conquer trembling flesh
As lips gently explore one another
Keen tender arms stroll awaiting avenues
As soft sweet moans arouse jealousy among woodland beings
'I love you' falls from ecstasy driven tongues
A perfect world is created by conjoined spirits
Where comfort nourish mind and soul
 It's now evening
As weary sun leisurely walks home
A head still rests on sweeter-than-mattress subtle laps

Secretly Obsessed

Obsessed with the thought of you
wondering if it's only me or
if you sometimes remember the sweet things you've said
and if you meant them how I took them
or if I'm just obsessed with what's in your head

Obsessed with your very sentences
Every response I take personal
I know it's selfishness
Have you not noticed my eyes?
They hold secrets that only you can unlock
if you'd just take time to fill the thick juices of my pride
It's just boiling with lust, passion, trust and distrust
and other things I obsess over so much

I find myself writing to free myself from this prison I've created
where only you and I reside
I become confused about what I'm really feeling inside and I
try to rid the thoughts that are highly debated as false and I
begin to cry and
think of casting love spells so that the universe can deliver this affair
I know it's unfair
but I don't care

I'm obsessed with what hasn't happened between us
I'm obsessed with your heart and that the fact that
I don't think you've even noticed my selfish innuendos
and secret undertones that blatantly express my lust
Or maybe you have and you calmly remain in resistance of distrust
If you could only read my mind by simply touching my fingertips,
I'm sure I'd catch you out the corner of my eye biting your bottom lip
I'm obsessed with the passion and thoughts I think you have
Obsessing over an experience that I may never have....

Enigma's Calling

Extraordinary, I am
Craving for unusual thoughts
Endless exploration without boundary
Understanding the gift I shouldn't fought

Invisible drawings in my mind
Playing with the words in my head
My passion
The food of my soul

I feel so lucky
The random thoughts
A lifetime companion
A self esteem builder
A goal planner
Be my forever life saver

I write more
I talk less
I want to please
I chose to bore

What tickles me the most
Is to know what I'm for
Thinking is my love
When my mind goes empty
That's when I hate

My day dreaming lust
Organizing things in my mind
Playing roles of simulation
Where images of art is my vision
And words of attitude is my heart

Groundswell Girl - Named by JB

Enter a storybook tale
Where I can be
The heroine you hail
Lucid dreams of soft reflection
A touch heated with lust and desired protection
A breathe a gasp as we succeed
Join the fairytale with me
Valiant night within dark eyes
the right movement and I make them shine
like moonlight on the steamy hot spring
care to follow for a little dip with me
Trailing like the water at my fingertips
Grasp me around my hips
As close as the breeze on my skin
Whisper lies as I let you in
Lips mumbling up my thighs
bare heart exposed to the sky
fire burning in my veins
Am I a mistress of this lust or simply a slave
Trembling with desire
Take me till we've lost count of the hours
enter this storybook tale
Where I can be the heroine you hail

Love declares His Love

Love they say is a many splendid thing-

Love wove for me
Such a fine necklace
All gleaming with tiny droplet pearls
That hung from a sheer gossamer thread
Dazzling in clear beauty
Glistening in the morning gold of the frosty morn

Love sings for me the finest song
From the golden throat of a nightingale
Like the sounds of many violins
Stringing a tune of lonely times and long lonely nights
when he waited and listened to the wind for my whispers
Of loving response

Love shines and twinkles in the midnight hour when
Declaring on heavens evening robes where
Jewels dance across life’s moving screen
Love declares His undying passion
For me

Then dawn rose from a heart on fire
It lit the garden with morning sun
Radiant-wearing the finest perfume
And colors of the rainbow bowed
In memory of our first lost embrace
The King waits anxiously-
For my smile and my heart.

Amethyst

It is the pure mystery of amethyst
that inhabits my world
It glows in dawn light along
 receding shadows.
Cool, enticing it embraces my soul
Adds those fresh dimensions to trees
in rain-swept meadows.
Everywhere, I see its shades repeat –
in the marbling of shells -sheen on a bird’s wing-
veins in a rock - flower petals -
I wrap myself each morning in its lighter shades-
cool, lavender chiffon, and you come to me
the magic of amethyst in your kiss.

All Through Tuscany

The afternoon outlined. The sunny strokes
of a samurai blade on her body
revealing things the eyes feign see.
Tempted, wounded, the virgin parchment floats
between her skin and satin cloak.
Artist; afternoon, craving company
draws her inside-out so innocently,
on purpose leaves the yolk indwelling.

The painter in the corner moans,
he jealous of the afternoons artly
sensual oration.
Improving skin, bare olive tones
of subtle pastel, the moment partly lost
to the constellations.

A Message from West Texas - Recited

She sent me a message while I was walking Mr. Reilly,
She said “Look up, and tell me what you see.”
I thought I would impress her with my poetical ways so I answered,
Bus zooming by…
Brown leaves on the sidewalk ahead,
And a shadowy figure that Reilly and I will soon pass,
The smell of the Indian bakery warming my insides on an autumn evening.
“I love fresh bread,” she said, “What do you hear?”
Crisp slate grey sky,
And the wind gently shaking loose more tan and brown leaves,
And cars sliding by,
Each with its unique sound of tires on asphalt,
 Creating its own steady hush.
She then messaged, “You’re very good at this,
I’m going to read that again!”
but I went on…
A few drops of cool rain,
The rain here, even when it’s pouring,
Seems to be made of a lighter liquid.
It’s not the hard thick drops of a West Texas down pour,
And it’s almost disappointing when
I don’t have the residual layer of dirt on my windshield after the rain,
Almost.
They say there is thunder in the springtime,
But I suspect they don’t know what real thunder is,
Here in California.
In the West Texas springtime,
When entire sky is filled with all the mountains,
That are missing from the landscape,
You can feel the power and,
The threatening posture of the storm,
But you take up the challenge and face the lightning,
And it fills you with excitement,
And if you have a lover,
It is during these storms that your fantasies come true.
Silver flashes across your lover’s skin,
Passion filled faces caught in the strobe of lightning,
And the pounding rain beating on the windows.
The mix of cold wet air,
And the sweaty heat of deep kisses and breath.
They don’t know what they’re missing here,
In California,
But I do,
And maybe someday I’ll have her.

Night Poem

It waits...
A prickle about to lodge
In the heart of a Mighty Light

Above the low-dipped setting sun
The Knightly Night prepares to come

To lift me like a rising fog
Up to greet the countless stars -
That twinkle at a Sun's descent.

The horizon painted with lullaby
Of colours and their somber tune
Day's bed is laid behind blue mountains
And quietly it goes to sleep.

Inside the womb of a Sleeping Day
Begins a fierce protest
of dreaming thoughts
Now stirred awake.

Then out of the thick and cluster
And whatever dangers of flight await
Newborn wings of thought emerge
And rise and rise and rise
Captured by the winds of Night -
Arisen

To wander heights
To kiss the skies
To dance to the gentle humming
Of spirit drums -
Wings beating
A duet with the breeze.

So when day comes breaking through
Dawn is greeted by what was writ
At the festival of it's eve.

With merriment's ink:
A Kiss;
A dance;
A song etched deep:
Art carved out of sky.

My Soul to Hold

My Lover,

Take my soul—once more,

Forget me not, as daisies trodden on

Which on the hill is found.

I am a weary way-worn traveler,

Onward bound to my native shore,

Desperate seas I roam alone,

Waves of clouds I chase away,

Island mist upon my face,

Let us meet—once more.

Grasp love’s newest breath,

Say you love me true,

Warm and freely I give to you,

My soul to hold—once more.

Lithaniel and She

The dark wood is breathing blue,

and sense do I a sweet sound

of larks and their legendary love,

and sweeter scents still do I

   drink of Apollo's bidding,

'neath forest roof and billowed sky,

   Lithaniel upon her woody heights

Aloft 'neath crest of moons,

and a yawning lake of crimson trim,

   wedded and blushing,

To sunsets red as soft sylph lips,

   and dawns to dream of her beauty;

easy solace stretched out in all her glory

Many times have I entered her house

   once bitter,

   guilty of lesser climes,

   drunk with evil;

Yet for the unfailing footpaths

   winding with lilac copses,

   ' et le gentil colline'

sobered a fool and his silent darkness,

   tamed to truth at last

No joys for my labors,

nor dull love gives me pleasure

with her arms empty to another,

   a 'new' perfume to rouse envy;

Lithaniel's decor of sheen forests

   and rolling solitude remind of her;

my hands touch leaf and wind,

   yet not she....

Her soul in the shadow of all things,

her sweet breath in the waves of fields

and birds in flight grin of loss -----

such sorrow to grieve her while she lives!

Never could I have her always

as sure as my sight does see

   beauty arrayed and stretching to lime seas;

   love must go its way....

   hazel-eyed with tears....

No pain could I hold her still,

us now too wild with death ----

   kisses gray with ancient love,

   her hand cold and unmet

Lithaniel I must leave,

   as her ----

   as she of old loves,

   dreaming in the woods....

yet I dared to ask her,

   many a memory past

' Come, walk with me once more? '

Once more we walked Lithaniel's

summer purge, cruel to a point

   with bright hope at noon;

Children, and mothers and fathers ----

and a white and black swan

   leaning still as two in swanny kiss;

Some new love is more the day,

   fresh as spring rain,

   the sun seldom takes leave

blinded by old clouds, but clear to smile

   as a baby's glee;

We have wandered too far.....

there is no soul to each,

no soft peck and tickled whisper....

The world glows as some planet-god

   no more,

Though I held her for a time,

   in some strange wind,

   she is gone -----

   forever walking the setting sun

And Lithaniel weary with sleep

(the company of moons I keep)

   Keeper of the elder love,

   to soft shadows and sleep

(night shall be my gracious host)

(A finale to an old flame)

I Am Bored With Disenchantment

Deep, deep, deep like the old closed cold cold grave
Down in a dark chamber of loneliness
Resides this horrible and constant boredom
Never is there a slight filling this need

Romance disappeared like misty morn fog
It was clinging wrapped like very wet tee-shirts
But slowly dried and left me wondering
What in the world has really happened here

Was not like tsunami with deadly waves
More subtle like soft splashing gentle waves
Those of low tide on a very calm day
Romance gone__disenchantment here remains

Winds Of The Night

Oh winds upon the starry night Hum sweet a song for me A delicate song in the mistless light On the emerald sparkling sea. Pluck now that ripe old sadness That bitter tune of despair Drift me upon the fields of gladness By the budding tree most fair. Which by the bubbling crystal fountain Would await to hold your tender hands That ascends to the lulling mountain And on the gentle breast of verdant lands. Where neither haunt nor woe does creep From your comely songs in moonlight And before my lover is fast asleep Please blow her a kiss goodnight.

A Changing Heart

A CHANGING HEART

Longing for heart-quiet,
end of further fall
into winter — short days of sun
forwarding to spring’s
longer days, a circling back
in the sameness of time —

heart-and-mind-numbing time
with no respite. A longing to quiet
those thoughts playing back
battle after battle — the failing
to even half fill life’s wellspring.
And, in my darkest season

of discontent, convinced the sun
will no longer shine in this lifetime,
feeling that sting
as from a bee disquieting
green slumber, swelling to a fault
every damned day. Slamming me back

season upon season. Holding me back.
Chilling me with doubt that the sun
will come without fail,
and that, invariably, given time,
better times will rise each dawn, quietly
advancing into spring. Fast forward, past spring
to summer, to autumn, back
to winter, and round again, disquiet
ever more glaring under the sun.
Then, out of the blue, a glance, a nod. Time
stops. My heart races, falling
in love, doubt conquered. No fooling!

Empty seasons done for, spring
burgeons and flowers time —
a new lifetime. No looking back.
Moving past risk and reasons,
my heart basks, quiet
as snowfall — springtime-sprouting,

sun-bursting-through-cloud quiet.
The quiet of snowflakes melting in the sun,
a kiss blown, then blown back.
