Gentle Summer Rain Art

Featuring:)  Giorgio Veneto

She writes about Fall's beauty in the rain
The falling raindrops' dance ascribing thence
Bespoken verse that lightens her refrain
before the time they met - her steps commence.

She listens to the soft and rhythmic thrum,
her love turned to escape and cloudy string
Where nimbus mistletoe fell, tears to become
Their kiss of Autumn was symbolic ring.

The first light cotton mists with summer rays
While skyward cheerful laughs adorn the land,
their ceremonial dance diffuses grays,
affectionate embrace, where dreams expand.

Upon September's sky the raindrops gleam
With half of hidden Sun to laugh and beam.

THE LONELINESS OF A LOST CLOUD

God named me a straying cloud,
and by His perpetual wish I abide...
as the loneliest cloud floating on the earth's breeze.
I glance below and discover the yellow daffodils pride,
and fluttering they dance beneath the apple trees;
and as a sparrow I feel the bond.

My night visitation is more exciting than broad daylight,
I encounter many stars and make them my friends,
and they love shining on the Milky Way...
looking down on the lonely bay so bright;
and tossing their luminous heads, they brightly dance:
so happy they have come my way!

Even the ocean's waves join them in their play,
but their dance is better than theirs,
and at such wondrous sight I make verse...
being offered their warm company;
I am amazed by how they roll and still gazing away,
I do admire the spectacle that gladdens me.

So often, on my couch I gladly lie to rest,
but overwhelmed by empty or moody thoughts,
that splendid image flashes in the glow of the sunset;
my daffodils still wave and invite me to dance,
and I dance with them, making a happy sound...
not to feel the loneliness of a lost cloud.

Lonely Plight

created not by God but man harsh ridicule he endured abhorring the mere site of him people pursued a “monster” in perception only carrying torches and weapons angst festered within a tormented heart sentenced to a life of agonizing loneliness without committing a crime abandoned by a thoughtless creator his arduous trek to find him began dwelling in caves, crying hiding his hideous appearance from a bitter world that rejected him just one simple hope had he find a companion to share affection with prayers unanswered suicide his only choice to escape solitude broken-hearted, he faced demise in a conflagration upon the northland’s glacial ice cold as society’s treatment, hot as the fury in his heart

Secretly Obsessed

Obsessed with the thought of you
wondering if it's only me or
if you sometimes remember the sweet things you've said
and if you meant them how I took them
or if I'm just obsessed with what's in your head

Obsessed with your very sentences
Every response I take personal
I know it's selfishness
Have you not noticed my eyes?
They hold secrets that only you can unlock
if you'd just take time to fill the thick juices of my pride
It's just boiling with lust, passion, trust and distrust
and other things I obsess over so much

I find myself writing to free myself from this prison I've created
where only you and I reside
I become confused about what I'm really feeling inside and I
try to rid the thoughts that are highly debated as false and I
begin to cry and
think of casting love spells so that the universe can deliver this affair
I know it's unfair
but I don't care

I'm obsessed with what hasn't happened between us
I'm obsessed with your heart and that the fact that
I don't think you've even noticed my selfish innuendos
and secret undertones that blatantly express my lust
Or maybe you have and you calmly remain in resistance of distrust
If you could only read my mind by simply touching my fingertips,
I'm sure I'd catch you out the corner of my eye biting your bottom lip
I'm obsessed with the passion and thoughts I think you have
Obsessing over an experience that I may never have....

Love declares His Love

Love they say is a many splendid thing-

Love wove for me
Such a fine necklace
All gleaming with tiny droplet pearls
That hung from a sheer gossamer thread
Dazzling in clear beauty
Glistening in the morning gold of the frosty morn

Love sings for me the finest song
From the golden throat of a nightingale
Like the sounds of many violins
Stringing a tune of lonely times and long lonely nights
when he waited and listened to the wind for my whispers
Of loving response

Love shines and twinkles in the midnight hour when
Declaring on heavens evening robes where
Jewels dance across life’s moving screen
Love declares His undying passion
For me

Then dawn rose from a heart on fire
It lit the garden with morning sun
Radiant-wearing the finest perfume
And colors of the rainbow bowed
In memory of our first lost embrace
The King waits anxiously-
For my smile and my heart.

The Color Missing

The Color Missing
Red, black, and blue are the colors of our work pens. Red is the color of the blood we spill on other people’s mistakes. Blue is the color of the songs we sing on tax forms or pay stubs- every page has a secret melody. Black is the color of the streets we fear most. Black is the color of our signature of approval. Black is the color of our death.

‘But what about the Green pens?’ I ask. They say ‘the ink is too hard to see.’

A Shady Tree

I know its the summer time because of how naturally
Your beauty compliments the caress of a summer breeze
As I watch the world from beneath a shady tree
I take in the delightful comfort of everything I see
But in the same breath I am holding up my hands
Lord will you please give me back the things I no longer have
They are even more a part of me now that they are gone
As the sun falls below where the horizon is still holding on
Somewhere between the falling light and a star lit night
Is a dream that last forever and will never say goodbye
As the wind gently blows through the brush and shakes the leaves
It begins to hum a melody that I want to sing
At that very moment I smile for all the joy I have
Its so uplifting for me to see melancholy dance
Soon the morning sun will rise and capture my eyes
As I watch the hand of God paint a brand new sky
With every stroke of color I swallow all my pride
And I find a new place to dream of endless times
If I should ever get to the place I left my broken heart
Only then will I believe this brand new day will start
Again Im reminded of why my heart beats so restlessly
Only the speed of thought and my soul beneath this tree

My Boredom Disease

Like sick allergies,
Boredom can be passed around
I call it: THE BOREDOM DISEASE

Like a horrid storm,
Boredom can catch you off guard
Hold on for DEAR LIFE!

Like the whooping cough,
Boredom can be serious
If I were you, I’d
Get a vaccination !

The Autumn Affect

There's something unspecific about the autumn nights
A certain shade of color that uplifts my inner child's eyes
Beside a cashmere moon Venus and Jupiter shine bright
Complimented by a sea of blinking infinite twilight
The scent of burning oak lingers in the air from home made fires
Reminiscent of a time when this man was just a child
Careless and so free to dream and any dream to live
Like feathers floating across a field carried by the wind
As a gentle breeze blows through the leaves shivering delightful gloom
Unlike flowers of springtime the disheveled autumn vibrance bloom
Leaves crackle beneath my feet along the skeleton tree path
Where I try to find my peace or a song to make me laugh
The air is so much crisper and also soothing when I breathe it in
Underneath a starry sky and brighter constellations of Heaven
Amidst the trail I pass a lovely couple holding hands
While their children run aside frolicking in a playful dance
An old man and his wife admire the view from a wooden bench
With smiles on their face as if nostalgia is still their closest friend
Its these specific autumn affects that bring me sorrows and joy
Reminding me of all theses things Ive wanted as a man since I was a little boy
Its times like these that I wish I wasn't always so alone
Because I would light an fire with my family and call it home

the Rose

                 The Rose innocent white, soft pink, yellows
                colors touch your soul vibrant red to amethyst

                enhances beauty yet a thorn awaits to break skin
                as life does piercing your heart with a thin pin.

                My life has shed drops of blood through each petal
                 as if in return for the love and beauty you feel

                hence pain underneath patiently waits the bloodletting ~

                The rose symbolizes love yet vulnerable to hold
                for when you open your heart it can be left bleeding

                The best of surgeons can not beat your heart
                It is the inner faith and God himself whom gives strength

                whispers in your ear you shall live you will exist
                your life meaningful as the water and sun to the rose

                 For I am your God your existence is not over yet .

Glisten in the Moonlight

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glow on...sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

Only in You

Through the lonely woods, I may head,

Upon the autumn leaves, I may tread,

At the secluded horizon, I may stare,

And only you, I may see,

In those symphonies of silence,

In those melodies of calmness,

In those euphonies of quietness.

By the silent lake, I may lay,

Till the twilight fades, I may stay,

Then in reclusive silence, I may walk,

And only to you, I may talk,

Through those toungueless emotions,

Through those wordless attachments,

Through those voiceless sentiments.

In the lone meadow, I may wander,

Along the untrodden paths, I may waver,

In companionless seclusion, I may hide,

And only in you, I may find,

The depths of oneness,

The bonds of togetherness,

The cozy feel of coalescence.

In the wilderness of emotions, I may die,

At the merciless daggering, I may sigh,

Through a million wounds, I may bleed,

And only in you, I may seek,

The balm of love,

The warmth of affection,

The heal of inseparability.

IF ONLY I COULD CATCH THE SUN, ever so softly

I try to ignore the squirming Hyde within
And, with effort still,
I raise myself for the last traces
of sunshine and fun.
What was left of the day, I savor for me.
As the withering leaves of silence
have perfected the petals of stillness,
A quietude.
Such absence of sound
Never a serenity to the mind.
Disturbing solitude haunts.
Loneliness seems vivid as reality speaks
Even the poignant sadness never parts
Solitary confinement paints an art.

Like the spectator in a thousand theatre plays,
 I achingly wait for the final curtains to part.
Then, as always expected -
Left were the
    dancing curtains
       together with the late sunset wind.
Tiny golden flecks
   imprinting on the soft white
        laces and trims.
Catching shadow images
    of the last rays of brilliance,
         blending slowly in yellow embers,
              forming orange coals,
                   turning into sunkissed glow
                         of a sad goodbye.
Then,
    ever so softly fading
           into dullness and cloudless cold.

And as the night falls,
its shadowy self dances
against the moonlit music of silence.
I listen and search still
   for what is left.
No traces of the sun
whose magnificence and radiance
had touched the leaves of laughter
during my daytime slumbering; children frolicking,
    early had the mind sensing.
And, gone astray were the seeds of kindness
    the day had grown.
It seemed they were sown
    by someone I wish I had known.

If only I could frolic
    where little lads had been early today -
        in the meadows,
           by the pond,
              along the shores,
                  around friendly trees and smiling flowers,
                       with the meadowlarks and chirpy games,
                               I’d give away anything.
Basking in the sun on such a lemony day,
someone sulks to find it's an emotional burn.

If only I could catch the loveliness of the sun,
I'd give away anything.
ANYTHING.
Just for something this grand.

The mind wills but the heart groans.
A moment of joy and laughter, so fleeting.
Forgot me, gave away the troubles.
Today could be A DAY,
If only, ever so softly, I could catch the sun.

I Wish Upon a Star

Upon my sorrow’s pillow tears fall soft,
yet gentle soothing dreams appear aloft
to fill my heart with promises of you,
and banish lonely thoughts so filled with blue.

I gaze up to the starry skies above.
Upon a shooting star I wish for love ~
to fill my heart with promises of you,
and banish lonely thoughts so filled with blue.

I gaze once more; the stars they seem to say:
"Love's wish fulfilled"; my heart knows you will stay!
Protected in your arms at last I know,
our love forever found will bloom and grow.

Inevitable Bear

Oh lonely Inevitable Bear,
Padding claws, death in white
Sorrow in recurring nightmare
Instinct’s test; fight or flight?

Camouflage against the fence,
A challenge; my subconscious fear
Ominous slowly moving silence,
“Let me in, there’s a bear out here!”

Nature's Sigh

The Black butterfly waves away her adorations
All she seeks is seclusion, subsuming slave to mortification
The Dear Air is all she can breath, captive of imaginary dreams
The Beacon resonates, but the hope isolates
The Wasteland's silky fingers caressing the virgin's face

So she is now, the covet of the damned
Programmed to every victim's pain
Carrying the weight of every sorrow
Drowning in wrongs she does not know
But paradise is at loss; she must go

Nature sighs after the bite
All my hopes fading
Don't look at me with those sorrowful eyes
How do you know exactly what I'm feeling?
I'm just the ghost flower passing by
And you can hear nature's sigh

Philosophical Poetry Week: Transient Tuesday

I am a misprint,
Ink blot on love,
I remain a maybe
Longing for fact,
No speck of lint,
A hand in glove.
Thunder; a baby
Will only react

When you etch
Parallel clouds,
Whistling on cue
To a dead town.
Dream a sketch
Of silent crowds
Becoming you,
This boiling crown

Chews thought
Into flagellation.
Holes in the walls
To spy through,
Seeking a sort
Of bricked-up sun.
A heaven of halls,
All leaving you.

Dear Lover

Written September 8, 2013

Hey dear lover
Can you make me a believer in another
We both know that it's killing us this way
'Cause the ends of the earth still move
And the falling leaves dance in circles
All around you
Cutting holes in the paper
On which I write this letter
Saying, "I really hope that this gets better"
For the sake of involved
Before this binding resolution gets resolved

But I don't mind chasing thunder
Through the darkest nights
But if I never find the light
Then I just might lose my sight, over you
But what's the use
You've only caused me more and more abuse
That's why I write this letter
Saying, "why'd I ever think that it'd get better"

Ride The Wind

Written February 24, 2012

One too many times
Our love has been unkind
To the rigors and chills of the snow
The streets they meet
Intersecting the heat
But the cold will blow without heed

To rekindle the flame
Must sound quite insane
But it's all I have left in this world
Yet to feed from the hand
Of another's demands
Could lead to the start of the fall

Ride the wind
Wherever it goes
Don't ask it questions
You don't want to know
The wind will carry you home

EVERY LONELY COWBOY

In the old, wild west
every lonely cowboy
stopped to rest at a crowded inn
surrounded by bare
rocky hills; he blamed it
on the greedy pioneers.

Traveling wasn't easy, not because
of coyotes or deadly
snakes that hid, or slept
in the blue stern grass......
they had to look out
for those Indians.

In the old, wild west
every lonely cowboy
always left his loaded gun
close to his bed
for a quick draw...unless it was
a loud brawl coming from the floor below.

Le Vacance Pretentieuse: Going Home

What is it to see the soil of home again?
A welcome, snow-struck and a return
To cold; sharp white contrasts sunburn.
We converse in broken tongues to men

We know, hooked on holiday language
Comprised of wandering hand signs.
Collect the car and pay parking fines,
Drive through towns and over a bridge

Until we reach the Western gateway.
Oh when will we arrive at our house?
No camels there, only field mouse
Which are eaten by our cat anyway.

The plane flies for an age, slyly yawning
Through the stretching, pealing sky,
A knife through air; what it is to fly.
Our travels over; a new day is dawning.

Solitude

Through morning fog,
and mountain air,
a path less traveled
takes me there…
With new found strength,
where once was none,
as I climb high,
so does the sun.
In this secret, quiet,
hidden spot,
time reveals
what’s important...
- and what is not.
It doesn’t matter
what you’ve bought,
but it matters
what you’ve built.
If you make your
presence noticed,
then your absence
will be felt…

~~~The other one is chubby
They discover a lagoon~
Ralph teases him by calling~~
him "Piggy" -  how mean!!~~~
Piggy asks him if
There are other people on
The island with 'em
He has no clue
But this'll answer Piggy's question --
Other boys appear -
All diverse shapes and sizes
What'll happen next??
You'll see...
Have you ever read The Lord of the Flies?
I recommend it if yah haven't read it yet - I must admit
It's a book full of adult words and it's simply...FASCINATING! - no lies
You should read it - or you'll regret it!
A SPRING AFTERNOON ON THE FARM-Tritina
An empty barn was the home of a dog;
outside buzzing bees attacked a tiny cat...
joyful was the song of a parched bird.
An hour ago, happy was the warbling bird;
no rascals bothered the skinny, smelly cat...
they didn't get close to the hungry dog.
Rain came and it worried the shivering cat;
spring showers were the joy of the bird...
he could have been the prey of the dog.
Sunshine returned: the dog barked, the cat ran and the bird fled.
IN A BRIGHT STUDIO OVERLOOKING THE NOISY STREET
In a bright studio overlooking the noisy street,
I hide from the living to write with a frantic beat;
loud voices and sounds will subdue before dark...
very sweet is the the melody of the lonely lark.
Even when it snows, the view is quite awesome:
watching snowflakes slowly come down and dress
trees in glistening white...one can feel lonesome
when every audible sound is hushed by stillness.
How lovely it is when happy faces peak from windows!
They may seem immensely surprised or stupefied;
and some even open their doors and come outside
to observe the fluffy snow descend on the pines' boughs.
I pause for another minute, then resume my writing...
it's profound observation that inspires the heart and mind,
giving this motivated poet many ideas of positive feeling;
I sense and absorb them, not noticing kids getting wild.
In a bright studio overlooking the noisy street,
I fear shadows towards evening when feet
make deep footprints that lead to my stairs...
and afraid of ghosts, I begin chanting prayers.
To Thine Self Be True
Once there was romanticism within each line pleading to read between
in these passionate hues of rosey red
The woe of my despair, the need of acceptance of sorts
driven by my abuser, who could truly care for me?!
I found rejection so brutal,
as if I could truly show love
And with each harsh word I held privately
 though the sun set so spectacular this evening
So very melancholy
as the life of the tree so now becomes dormant
Life is sucked away from its branches
as it dies what bountiful hues fill the horizon where I sit
People pass by and marvel the beauty
and isn't it somehow strange we find such beauty in the dying?
Before long barrenness will fill these lands
And I think of how it relates somewhat of my own life
This dormant time where I could not show the beauty of my love
as I covered it with emotions left in their wake
and oh, how I await for Spring to blossom on the hillside, and this side,
where my gentleness and sincerity a day shall then bloom
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To  Thine  Self  Be  True

Your Love is a Waterfall

When you look at me
my heart trembles,
It pours from above
like the high
waters.
Your voice is so
cool, it replenishes
me,
Nothing's sexier
than the sound of
thee.

Your touch is like a
flowing liquid;
Smooth, soothing,
and relaxing;
Your kiss is like a
water in the desert,
I'm craving for it
cause it satisfies
my thirst.

Yet you're the water
from the mountain,
You're high; I
cannot reach you.
My only happiness is
when you descend,
So I can wet myself
with your love that
has no end.

Oh baby your love's
like the waterfall,
I love the way you
bathe it on me
though it hurts.

Africa III

Heart pounding
Nervous feeling
Overwhelming
Deep breath to shake it
Cold chill slivers down fast

Beating against cage of heart
Cage of body
Cage of soul
Legs begging to run
Heart aching to be free
Truth to self
aching to be seen

Sweet scent of dry savannah plains
Sharp smell of thorny veins
The aroma of Africa surrounds
Scents sights sounds
In these home is found

Frustration mounts
Captured leopard
Bound

Snarling at every motion made
Scared but defiant
Blinded by fear and rage

Paws long for endless journeys
On paths walked centuries ago
For elegance in element
A space all her own
Where earth still bleeds red on horizon
Morning and night
Continuing the endless fight

Fight for borderless freedom
Everlasting sight
The pale yellow green eyes
Dismays the truth inside
But tell the story
Of wild soul
Story to unfold

AUTUMN'S TREADMILL

Light is fading
It’s cold, abrasive
Facing longer nights
Green leaves mellow
Brown and yellow
Autumn has arrived

Misty mornings
Clock alarming
Body sense awry
Feel so jaded
Last night’s raving
Flashing through your mind

Drink hot coffee
Rush to catch the
Seven thirty-five
On the treadmill
Routine, thankful
Work keeps hope alive

Simply crazy when, every now and then
You want to bash your head against the wall
No longer feeling worth it all
Like you always thought you would

You live the life you choose
Or are you being used?
Now faking it, doesn’t raise a hit
You forfeit all or run with it
Lucky to be paid
And maybe later, dream of getting laid

Light is fading
It’s cold, abrasive
Facing longer nights
Green leaves mellow
Brown and yellow
Autumn has arrived

God Saw My Distress and Healed Me part 4

This question drives me up and down the walls
I know for certain that God has answered my calls
I can’t hang up on Him…He’s so brilliant
And I’m so little compared to Him…
Maybe I’m little in size and very insignificant compared to the most High
He gives me quite a natural high
He brings me back home and kisses me good night
Without His love, I’d be lost like a sheep losing his shepherd
I feel like I’m separated to God
As if God and I are on both sides of the coin…
Our oceans don’t collide with each other,
But He does make huge tidal waves…
And I make baby waves that swerve up and down
Like a wave’s movement, my life seems to have its low points and high points
But, when I build enough energy, I glide higher than the clouds
Though, unfortunately, I’ve only been dreaming this
Then, I collapse into the sand...my face rubs against it and I have scrapes all over
Sand and water do mix well, but afterwards, the sea shore’s weight will pile up on the bottom of the ocean floor
I can’t imagine how many grains of sand there are on Earth
There are countless amounts of ants on Earth as well
Trillions and trillions of them are in existence
It’s amazing how plants take in Carbon Dioxide
And we breathe in oxygen…
God is a fantastic creator and He did carve His creations pretty well
God saw my distress and He healed me
When I think about Him, I’m speechless and can’t say much
He’s made out of love and He bubbles me up with excitement
I haven’t given Him the credit of working miracles in my life…
But, I don’t want to divorce God…I must propose to Him like a wife
Does to her husband…I want to submit to Him
He made the sunset, the moon and stars
Look! He even made the planets and He healed our scars
He made the flowers, the roses and the creeping bugs
Look! He even made leaves for our eyes to see…
He made the change of seasons
God saw my distress and healed me
God made the wild cats, bears, reptiles
He made us have a brain that is as neat as black and white tiles
God healed me…and I’m simply glad He did so
God wiped out my distress…and He simply dressed me with happiness and He’s in high spirits to see me grow

A Blue Boy's Death Wish

A fragile mind breaks
Wake upon the rock laden shores
A muffled heart begs to echo
Whispers lost among a velvet chamber

Dusk comes premature time and again
Dropping the curtain on an optimistic sunrise
If you never witness dawn
There is no tomorrow

Always the dreamer aches
Never awake to make real what he desires
The restless corpse walks blind
Dead ends seem fitting for one of the kind

Lost in the labyrinth of strangling vines
Love is the motive and the weapon
Taking root in throats dry from weeping
Sprouts of amnesia in place of smiles
A garden called heartbreak holds onlookers captive
The comfort takes hold, sets in the bones weary of searching
A plea for rest lands on deaf ears

The hollow boy tires of himself
The last request he will ever make
"End me"
Lost and tired
He wishes to be weak no more

EYE Don't See -Part 3-

My eyes
Witness your departure
My eyes
Are dripping with hopelessness…
My eyes start to blur…
Melancholy put me under pressure…
Is there a cure to my disease?

You don’t see
The shards of hope that once brought us back together
Just let me search for safety
I’m strong enough to realize that I’m no longer
The weakest prey out there…

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me whimpering like a distraught puppy left on the train tracks?

I’m close to my demise…save me and take me home

Nourish me…and be my beloved friend

Will this friendship last forever?

Hopefully it has no end

Will this cheerful moment help us get along with each other?

Because of you…I feel the need to run
I keep an eye on you – I worry that you’ll hurt yourself again
Because of you…My freedom is nearly gone
I don’t wanna be caught off guard again
Because of you…EYE can’t picture a solution for our vexing dilemma
Because of you…eye can’t focus on my long-term goal

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you sense that I’m giving in to failure?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…I can’t endure
The hardships that you place upon me…
Could you boost up my confidence to overcome
My atrocious anxiety?

I’m just waiting for some sun
To keep me in good hands…
To strengthen me with perseverance …
I’m just waiting until His son
Leads the world outtah Egypt and reveals to us…
His radiance…His dazzling Kingdom –
Vibrant with glee

Your undying sympathy dawns upon us
I’m overflowing with indescribable joy
You’re a candle in the night…
We meet eye to eye…
What a sight…what a precious sight

Emotional Hole

I did not find myself to be so important
So I ask my friends do I seem distant?
When I ask the question I had received an answer, Yes
So I think that made it clear that I had been not the best
I am a friend of a friend that talks so many things
That friend talks to much it is insane and insanity it brings
I do care, about my friends they are all good people
They tend to stand on their high steeple
Today I find myself not so aware
Disbanding my fear of regret and care
Walking many different paths I see that I have found holes
It is the path that people choose to use to fuel their rage with coals
Coals are partially burnt wood or fossils a piece of fuel
It is the source of burden and fire a rage of emotions that stands cruel
It can be warm and caring, but it also can be baring
I just start to feel so low, below the ground I keep on staring
I reach for my friends so many times I feel so ignorant at times
Just once I feel I should not rely on them when feeling I can not find
I dig my hole deeper and I can not climb out
For some reason I am just full of doubt
I care about so many things and what I have is confusion
One person should be all I should think about to get out of that illusion
My battle in my heart and mind is not at all so pleasant
I feel so alone in an island that is shaped like a crescent
My emotions is like coinciding with a diameter of the semicircle
Not a full emotion that is complete like a circle
My feelings is circular full of incomplete thoughts, so much deeper
I feel it will wake up my evil half a evil soul that is a sleeper
What question should I ask myself? to believe that I am not so alone
As I feel like a person who is deteriorating to the bone
I ask my friends the same question once again
I figure I should do it, to know what kind of feelings I should end
So many thoughts that come out of my feeling
I feel like my friends take, an emotional trauma of stealing
They ask me questions and I answer theirs
But when I need mine answered I feel burning inside like a flare
Are they even friends when they do not take me serious in anyway
Just put me in my hole cause I feel nothing in their will be getting in my way
It's just so simple to answer someones problem
I answer friends with beauty of a rose, but when they answer mine I get the stem
I know the stem is very important in life, with out it how can a rose be a rose
With a hole to put the root and stem in how can it grow
The words we speak I guess is like all natural things we reap and sow

THE SOFTNESS OF THE RESPLENDENT MOONLIGHT

Rainy nights have hidden
the friendly moon that visited my flowery window;
that was two seasons ago...
when I told her big secrets and didn't conceal pain.

The red-eyed owls watched me strangely and pitied my loneliness;
was I insane for staying up so late?
But sleep was like tasting real death...
I asked myself the same question, " Why dream until daybreak? "

The softness of the resplendent moonlight
must return on the same hour, and paint this sad face with silver moonbeams;
only then my dark night will turn bright...
to relive those summer's nights again and give life to another dream that gleams.

Distant African Nights

Those Distant African Nights...

1.

The shadows swayed in your candlelit room,

a cool breeze teasing your bare back,

streaks of lightning forked in the Johannesburg night,

as my hands stroked your hair,

kissing your soft mouth,

holding you,

ever so tight.

2.

You whispered that you loved me,

and I kept silent,

the rain fell,
shadows danced,
thunder rolled,

the breeze teased your naked back,

you whispered that you loved me,
as my lips found yours,

the rain washed over our tender nights,

lightning and candlelight,

etching poems on your burnished skin,

yet,

a fear gnawed at me,

deep within.

3.

We parted ways,
and you could never forgive me, you said,

now, after numberless thunderstorms,

the rain that falls,

echo the countless tears that I have shed.

4.

You are long gone,

far away,

happy, I pray,

yet the memories persist,

those precious moments shall never,
ever,

like the Jo'burg rains,
trickle away,

and I wish you well,
for loving me as you did,

for it was I who was not worthy,

then,

and it is I who is not worthy,

now...

5.

You were always true,

it was I who always,

always,

refused to,

to give myself,

completely to you.

The Rebel

Dank, cold, unperturbed indifference,
Untouchable, yet touching all,
Unresolved in meaning,
Still creating each and every fall,
Every whim and leaning.

Touché pas! A cry of weary hate,
And will not accept a helping hand,
‘Till death! Brazen adverse in face of fate,
And alone in piteous stand…

Lone wolf we cry, thy fate is nigh,
Yet stands he still resisting,
That love should die, that only tie,
In error still persisting…

The Sieve of Time

The Sieve of Time

Cast ashore,
along the banks of time,

whirling through the passing years,
clinging to my futile scribbles set in rhyme,

Cast ashore,
thrust into an unrehearsed pantomime,

clenching slivers of joy as weariness descends,
lulled into a peaceful slumber exhilaratingly sublime.

Cast ashore,
hazily adrift, a dandelion seed on the wings of time,

trapped in the sieve of spiralling memories,
caught between pristine bliss, and reeking slime.

Cast ashore,
flung aside for no discernible crime,

my human heart thuds with elusive hope,
though battered, bruised, and covered in grime,

I stagger ashore,

alone,

embracing each moment of detached, oblivious time.

Nature of the Storm

The sky’s cloudy and dark, seemingly dismal I’m in a field of high weeds and a lone tree There is a windmill nearby moving forceful The wind is whipping on by, blowing fiercely Fearfully, lightning flashes over my head The thunder approaches just wanting me dead I’m surely afraid of its awesome power It’s by the nature of the storm I cower

EYE Don't See -Part 1-

My eyes
Pour forth feelings
That I’ve felt in the past
They make my heart ache…
Take it all away…
Oh my God…
They’re making me sink in dismay

When will they break away?
When will they give me a break?

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me weeping?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Eye don’t see
A happy ending in this scene

My eyes
Journeys into the unknown
Who knows what will happen…
They’re like hidden treasure…
They’re buried far below…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Oh my God…
They’re driving me insane
When will they see my reflection?
When will they heal the infection?

Eye don’t feel
Raindrops of hope and relief
All I feel…is grief…
Eye sense no peace…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s sagging…from endless mourning
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Does He hear
My supplications?
Does He sense
My fear?

My eyes
Conceals the tears that dare to spew out
I feel trapped and lost without a doubt…
They erase my delight…
They seek my hurt…
Oh my God…
They’re casting me away into the perilous sea

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace throw out my fear?

Eye don’t see
A ship in sight…to save me from my demise
My lifeless body...
Drifts away in the wild ocean...
Without a sound...
Without emotion...

Eye don’t see
A rope to hold on to…
My hope for peace
Has drowned…

EYE Don't See -Part 2-

My eyes
Refuse to see tragedy
My eyes
Marinate in dread…unable to embrace ecstasy

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s sagging…from endless mourning
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

You don’t see
What damage you’ve done
Just let me be
Leave me alone…hand me a gun

I yearn for unspoiled glory
To make me feel perfect once more
I yearn for flawless serenity
To make me feel no regret…don’t ignore
My calls…don’t hang up on me

You don’t see
What damage you’ve done
Just hear my plea
Listen to my excruciating cries…
Listen to the truth, not the malicious lies
Our journey has just begun

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me weeping?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Eye can’t handle the stress
Let me release my horrendous distress
Eye can see you making that same mistake
At least MY life isn’t at stake

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…do You feel my lament
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…Stepped on like cement
I’m aching with discontent… I abhor this torment
When will peace scrub off my fear?

I can’t believe my eyes
Your guiltiness flows into me…
I can’t believe I fell for your lies
Your heartless action rape my mind…you don’t see
What my EYES see…

You’ll never see
How much pressure you put me under
Unchain me from this chamber
And watch me flee…

When will you be set free?

The Snowy Life of Two Loving Ghosts

Taking suggestions especially on this poem. This is a first draft and I like it, but I don't have time to edit at the moment. Thank you!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The two ghosts dance through the barren forrest,
leaving footsteps to be pondered about
by the man who owns the land in the morning.
Howls and Screams and Laughter and Love
fill the dewy dark sky.
The two, lovers in death,
never knowing of the truth,
that their lives were taken
Snowfalls before,
being murdered in these woods,
their throat slits and their bodies mutilated,
No one knew who they were.

But here they are again,
running through the spindly trees,
taking in the scenes of their
eternal winter.
He takes her hand,
leading her to an opening in the trees,
a perfect circle, no light insight
but the stars above,
so beautiful,
so prominent.
Theres not a place in this town
better than this
to see the future amongst the stars.

They came here that day,
tent in one hand,
telescope in the other;
their thoughts in the air.
They were seventeen,
Seniors awaiting the approval
of a diploma,
They should be studying,
mid-terms next week.
They took a fatal break,
spent the night together,
only belonging to each other.

The ghosts;
who's sight doesn't recognize
the spot of their demise.
They sit on top of a large smooth stone,
Left their by the world in it's hurry.
They gaze upon the stars,
waiting for the world to reveal itself.
The screams and wails and love still permeate the air.

They fell asleep in each others arms,
and so they never heard the footsteps,
the drunken laughs of men full of sin,
ready for some action.
They found the tent,
they killed the innocent souls,
but instead of leaving they bodies,
they left the ghosts,
taking the bodies and
depositing them in the freezing lake.
They then sat upon the rock,
laughing about the deed done,
passing out in the deadfall of snow.

The transparent lovers jump to the snow,
throwing themselves down to sleep the night away.
They cuddle,
protecting each other from the snow,
the danger,
the truth.
The smile,
and with one last scream,
they kiss,
disappearing,
merging with the snow,
Part of the world,
and this spot full of false truths.

No longer do lively bodies wander about the woods,
and the owner hardly visits.
But a few times each winter,
when the snow has fallen so deep,
You can hear the screams,
the howls,
the laughter
and the love
of two ghosts
dancing in the snow.

The last rose saying goodbye to love

Deep within a forest glade
grows a single beautiful fragrant rose
It's sweet aroma
floats upon a gentle summer breeze
from it's soft petals and folds.

But what makes this humble rose
so special
is it's the last rose in the world to ever
grow.

Such a rare precious flower
should be treated with tender loving care
but it loses it's once vibrant color
and fades and wilts to brown
falling to the ground
only to be swept away
by a precarious turbulent wind
without the mere whisper of a memory
that it had ever existed
gone forever.

The Trees

I went for a walk
One evening in the suburbs.
I become lost easy in the beauty,
Of nature.

The air was cool and the wind blew soft and melow,
through the trees the wind made music.
The tree tops blew from left to right,
I stopped and fell in love with the trees.

The Trees looked down upon me,
they smiled down at me.
I looked up and saw the trees,
the large, green trees,
beautiful and full of life.

The birds living in the trees,
flying high over the tree tops,
I've seen beauty in nature,
but nothing matched the beauty of the trees.
The trees were my life.

I went to the park,
like the trees, the park was full of life,
and more trees stood there, high and proud.
The trees were beautiful and reminded me of peace.
I walked and took in the beauty.

I continued to walk down the avenues,
and on the sides were lines of tall barked, oak trees.
I had passed a tree, and had noticed a strage marking.
I heart shaped box, with initals of loved ones.
"Love you forever." was carved into the trunk of the beautiful tree.

I looked at those initials carved in the trunk,
and I shead a tear.
Envy and Wrath grew in my heart,
for I had no one to love.
But I thought to myself. Just then,
I found myself in love with the nature of the trees.

The trees were there,
The trees making sweet music with the swerling winds,
and I fell in love.
Soon after I found a tree, that had been cut down.
The emotions had boiled my blood and I fell to my knees,
and I cried, for my fallen love.

I looked at the cracked branches and the dying leaves,
I quickly wiped the tears away and took in a deep breath,
and I looked over to my right and left and saw the trees.
The trees all around me, sorrowful and crying with me
for the fallen tree.

The trees were always there for me.

Lost and Found -unedited version-

Writing a masterpiece
Takes so much effort and thought
My mind’s settling in my comfort zone – feed me with flawless peace
Words seem to escape me…my feelings mean naught

Anger molds me in inside and out…I feel insecure again
Peace barely meets my body
Joy seems to abandon me like an orphan
Faith passed away – it’s buried too far below the debris

Have I lost the race?

Writing a successful book…writing in general
Takes so much confidence and self-control
My mind is stacked up with debt…
Words splinter my tongue – I can’t repair my tarnished soul

Danger is placed in many corners
Happiness is a few blocks away from me
Fearlessness dives into me
Acceptance of who I am – God’s chosen one

Have I won the race?
Have I found His grace?

The Power of Pure Love

one's path is not made to be a lonely rat,

loneliness breaks the link of the chain of pure love,

pure love is all what we need,

united into one family tree.,

One without the other,

is just a rubber,

a rubber with no meaning,

just waiting to be misused.,

O how can we not see that Love could change all what we see?

without love its all just a red nightmarish dream,

a dream so red that one sees himself / herself getting wrecked,

wrecked indeed one shall be,

lonely in a desert on a bed surrounded with killer bees!.,

Tho finding love within,

enhances ones will,

a will of pure love,

having passion for what he or she loves,

extracting from ones inner personalty,

altering ones rationality,

cleaning the mind from all that disorientation.,

One would find his / her salvation,

a salvation so sweet that would inspire his / her mind & spirit to clean all the streets,

thus all the dirtiness shall become the cleanness,

the useless shall become the useful.

The one who felt lonely and unloved shall become the loved,

bonding all together,

creating one nationality,

connecting the chain of pure love with the circle of life.,

Life without love is a darkened life,

life with love is a colorful life,

thus both substances are needed to use our formulation of divinity,

one sequence indeed we shall be.

Mora Piya Ghar Aaya - My Beloved Has Returned Home

Mora Piya Ghar Aaya (My Beloved Has Returned Home)

Autumn:

the leaves fell, as you left, a bleak chill wafting across the barren space within my being,
you left, taking your smile and mine,
my smile rests with you still, leaving a void impossible to fill.

Winter:

pangs of longing consumed me, my only company in the frigid nights,
my tears remain frozen, within,
unable to fall from my broken eyes, as I searched the depths of the cold, harsh skies.

Spring:

birds returned home, though you did not, and I felt soothing rebirth all around,
memories of you began blazing, their embers stoked,
and at last the tears rolled, like ink on this blank notebook, my whole being pined for you, my very self in anguish silently shook.

Summer:

alive I felt again, the promise of the coming cooling rain, easing the heat of desire,
yet the furnace slowly raged inside, your absence tearing into me, shattering my nights, my longing for you soaring unfettered across the skies,
dancing on clouds, blissfully free,

Monsoons:

heaven itself opened, the deluge an unending dream,
rain falling all around, mingling with my flowing tears,
and then I saw you, you returned, and I embraced you, never wishing to let you go,
and though I may wear the mask of the clown,
if you were to leave again,
my very soul, would quietly slip away, and in the monsoon rains, I would gratefully drown.

A lonely tree

At a road where the road is off
Where the lonesome is the road
At mid of nowhere
Lonely tree is standing there
Waiting no one but the dust
Dust of the passing time
Tarnish the color of this tree
This lonely tree to gray
Praying in this lonely place
For the passing van
A gray lonely van
For the lonely bird
Staying for while
When the nights
come
And days go
the lonely tree
praying there
When the war rage
And peace walking shy
The lonely tree
Praying for the peace
No one is waiting there
But the lonely tree
Is waiting the morning sun
Waiting the rain in may
Waiting wind from the north
Waiting when no one is waiting there
This lonely tree
Gave a name for this nameless place
The land of the lonely tree

Port of Call

Port of Call

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

with the breath of the ocean a caressing balm,
soothing pained memories away,
to the swaying of a solitary palm.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

feeling the brushing away of all past turmoil,
on a quest for solace, ever so hard to find,
yet comforted by the crashing of the waves,
as the tide cleanses all pain,
and leaves despair far, far behind.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

drenched in a sea-breeze of mist,
that hushes the ache of bygone moons,
tasting the salty tang on my lips,
as the burnished sun,
over the distant horizon,
swoons,

and dips.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

searching, ever searching,
for a slice of solitude,
as memory bids a final adieu,
reaching under the sea so vast,
and seeking comfort in the depths,
while embracing,
the tomorrows to come,
wishing that they be true.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

seeing my truths drown,
as they slip beneath the turquoise waters,

feeling my heart ablaze,
with a passion that rarely falters.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

yet knowing that I am home at long last,
wishing the waves would wash away,
the defences that once stood,
like an impregnable wall.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

I have found, at long last,

my final port of call.

AH, LONELY WOMAN

Ah, lonely woman watching
the rising of the full moon,
which gives off intense brightness...
you seem a phantom!

Trees are stately sentinels
who protect you from danger,
but they too need to be protected
from the foul weather!

Ah, lonely woman why wait?
All you'll find is tiny stars
that surround the oval moon...
oh, what hope is there?

Snow has already fallen,
the cold wind will freeze your tears!
Oh, only spring can melt them
when sunshine returns!

Moon Rose

Moon-kissed rose amber light,
Glowing in the ebony night
Dew drops grace petals tender,
Sweet scented night splendor.

Softly she sways a mournful plight,
So lonely in the ebony night.
Her thorns fall a lonely sound,
Echoing in the silence found.

She pines for her lover the moon,
His distance hard to attune.
Her petals limp in his glowing light,
So deprived photosynthesis in darkened night.

His chilling glow too pale,
That she’s so dispossessed frail.
Shuttering in the moonlight,
She droops near death in her plight.

The sun with his radiance arise,
Beaming rays to awaken her eyes
Shining down to heat her heart,
Warming the frozen part.

Radiant with a burning desire,
She basks in the wondrous fire.
Now her joy is sunshine.
Their hearts intertwine.

Faith Healer

The odor is intolerable
Like a foul beast clinging to the end
I can barely subdue its subterfuge
But here I am,
I’m standing here of sound and mind
Waiting for the time that answers my own questions

Can it race with the fires of Orc?
Doubtful, but it can jog steadily can’t it?
The weather is awful, filled with sounds
Penetrating a document not written
It pains me to fight through the night
Not because it’s dark, but because I am just a shadow.

Lester drives but
Motional lasts forever
Still driving
Still crying
And slowly dying as time waves on
Like oceans that can’t be seen.

Nobody cares and everyone listens
Ironic, like a bible that holds lies and deception
Can its will be pierced?
Can freedom stay free?
Is it worth it to stay hooked when everyone around
Seeks liberty?

Saturday Rain in Johannesburg

Saturday Rain in Johannesburg…

…With sighs of torrential passion,
the heavens shower teardrops,

weeping with me,
as memories of you come cascading back,

skin on skin, ablaze,
moist kisses, fiery,
gentle whispers of undying love, murmured,

in another life, another time,

far removed from my present, a desolate state of despair,
wallowing in the grime.

…

The rain keeps falling,
each teardrop stinging my face,

tasting the salt on my lips,

I wonder, do you still remember the caresses of my fingertips,

between breathy confessions, and vows of eternal love,

before you left me, stranded on an island of solitude,

wounded as a wingless dove,

bereft of life,
stripped of all traces of fortitude

Grey Day

Low clouds drift across the sky
a thick blanket of sleep.
Their dreariness drains life
from this once perfect day.

The sky drowned in grey,
the sunlight fades.
The flowers lose their color,
and the robin forgets to sing.

Not even rain will fall
nor will wind blow through leaves.
Nothing draws a breath
on this cold lonely day.

My Countless Wishes -Part 2-

I wish
To demolish my sorrow…
I wish
To forget the despair and gleefully grow…
To forgive and seek the challenges of tomorrow…
My downfalls and my failures…
I wish
To disappear
I wish
I had no fear…
For God’s near…
I wish
I could be a cheetah in the grassland
I wish
To store all of my energy for an evening run…I’d never give up in the process
I wish
My whole spirit could simply sponge in God’s nature and make great progress
And I truly wish
I could stick to my daily plans of building a sturdier relationship with God
I wish
I had the merriness in my life especially during hardships…

My countless wishes
Brings me down to my weakest point…
My countless wishes
Overthrows me…but it helps me in the long run…

I wish I could forgive
My daily regrets and breakdowns
I wish I could forget
My despondency – embracing my frowns

I wish
To live a life without error
Without a care
I wish
To be flawless when I make my everyday decisions
And scare away
The darkness that tries to make me give up
I wish
I had more time to overcome…
These waves of emotions

My countless wishes
Brings me down to my disheartened state…
My countless wishes
Are like walls from every direction closing in on me…
But it’s a convenient tool in the future…

I wish
I could be live in someone else’s shoes…
But what good would it do?
Would it lead me to the narrow pathway?
Would it inspire me to push all of my doubts away?
Would it push away the blues?
Could He give me any clues?

LONELIER THAN A LONELY HEART

For four cold and long months
I was lonelier than a lonely heart,
staring at the beautiful snowflakes...
and afraid to fall asleep, I dreamt in the dark:
reminiscing the intense heat of midnight!

Lonelier than a lonely heart:
shunning sleep, retracing lovely memories of old,
of forget-me-not on that scented path;
and those delicate daises thrown at her feet haven't faded,
but have kept my passion alive as any true lover would.

Once these hearts were close, no need to yearn
for each other...through each night our passion arose;
has anyone ever asked how long it did burn?
Sadly, loneliness revokes a nostalgic desire
to whisper passionate words that aren't there.

Lonelier than a lonelier heart:
it's the most awful feeling I can endure;
images of two lovers kissing into the shadows of night,
touching their warm bodies to feel pleasure...
oh, imaginary dream don't end until sunrays emerge!

The Swaying of the Grass

1.

A path leads,

to where wild grass grows,

sashaying in the summer breeze.

2.

Along the path,
lightness settles within,

feeling the grass,
swooning,
tickling ankles,

swaying to the lilting bird-song,

in a dance of intimate abandon,

brushing the remnants of pain away.

3.

Melodies float across fields of green,

delicately caressing my heart,

teasing emptiness to flee,

comforting the mind,

to silently be.

4.

Walking on,
savouring the peace,

a momentary respite,
from the burdens of the now,

all is quiet,

a stillness cradling fractured emotions,

the grass in the fields sway,

dusk descends,

shadows lengthen,

nudging dimming light to take leave,

of the day

The Midnight Flight

Crossing on high
The winter sky
A lone goose cries

The stars shine bright
And hung nearby
A Quarter moon

I wonder why
Where does it fly?
No mate in sight

Everyone's Gone

Everyone's gone...
There's no one to look up to...not one...
Not one will be kind enough
To look down and attempt to help me...

Everyone's gone...
I'm beneath the debris
There's no one there to save me...
I'm left to my own misery

Everyone's gone...
I guess I'll find my way out of this maze
Without any clues
I'm waiting for relief to dawn upon me

Everyone's gone
I'm dealing with so much trauma
I'm watching for any signs of support...
Hear my echoes of pain...
It drives me insane...
Catch me before I fall off the cliff...

Everyone's gone
I'm all skin and bones
I'm trapped like a hunted animal
The predator took a bite into me...
Don't just watch me suffer...
Deserted in this lonesome state

Everyone's gone
I'm kicked around like a soccer ball
Hear me as I call...
Help me to stand tall

Help me...
Reach up to the sky
To feel the coolness seep through me
Help me...
To be inspired to write more uplifting songs
Help me think more positively - help me wave g'bye
Help me...
Forgive me for all of my wrongs...

Everyone's gone
I'm a screwed-up building
I need you to be my backbone
Straighten me up...help me to be stiff like a soldier
About to enter another horrifying war
Support me today...
And stick with me tomorrow!

I want to let go of the past memories...
Scaring away my happy moments and delights
I want to smear away the blasphemies…
Obliterating my blissful days and nights

Everyone's gone...
There's no one to depend on...not one...
Not one will be brave enough
To look down and attempt to help me...

Everyone's gone...
I'm beneath the city
There's no one to show me the jolly sun...
I'm left to my own misery

Everyone's gone...
Fine… I'll find a way to get out of this nightmare
Without any clues
I'm waiting for relief to give me strength instead of fear

Quiet Vicissitudes

Quiet vicissitudes on a lonely shore.

Memories fading with age as the family home crumbles.

It sits alone, abandoned, on it's now private island as the ocean continually encroaches with time.

Nothing left but photographs to prove to the world it was here as a storm crashes overhead.

With one final gulp a once happy home relinquishes itself to the watery abyss.

Pretty Flower on a Lonesome Walk

In the twilight of a Summer day
In a barren place far, far away
I came upon a yellow flower among the rocks and scree

Through great strain she pushed through the stones
..and in this blight she made a home
She made me smile as I looked down and she looked up at me

A thing of beauty so misplaced
No palace garden or jeweled case
Just me and her out in the wastes, what is, but shouldn’t be

Lake Double Tree

Lake-Double-Tree.

I sat for hours
and watched
in admiring silence

in front of me
one  lonely  tree
on a little  island

one lonely tree
mirrored in the lake
under a little island

I did notice
the forested hills far away
the glass lake
the blue sky

that lonely tree
conquered my heart
in its moving
yet not isolated  way

that was the reason
for my enduring stay
 at the border
of Lake Double Tree

The Lonely Moon

I sit on my porch, viewing the sky,
The lonely moon is there,
There amongst the clouds,
Distant sometimes a full moon, a half moon,
A quarter moon, a crescent moon,
The clouds drift by,
Nature's lonely parade.

Jaded Shadows

Oh lonely mist creep through this window and blanket this heart
your expanding presence nurtures these wounds.
Isolate this dignity while releasing these inner inhibitions.
Lonely mist... these wounds are too deep this blood tainted black;
cover this image seeing nothing but your palm print
you are solace from the jungle beneath these feet,
worshiping your suffocating light and dreary humor
the moon has risen to guide this path.

The Deluge

The Deluge.

finally the deluge

skipping in rhythmic heartbeats
the softly sprinkling rain

hums and lulls and cajoles and comforts
the weary evening

glistening leaves
on beaming trees

blades of grass shimmer
like rough diamonds strewn about

and settling in my heart
is the softly lilting touch
of peace
of truth

of the rain clearing away
the debris of this passing day

The Aging Tree

Your sharp blade, your crushing strikes, O axe! Cut me not!
         Allow my life reach its climax, cut me not, cut me not!

 My feeble life’s still in my body’s confines
          My difficult breathing under the canopy of skies
          No sparkle of hope in my heart shines
 I am lonely and sad, in my eyes nothing but despair lies

 The wine of moonlight doesn't filter through my branch's sieve
     The fireflies illuminate not my lonely dark nights
     Chicks ‘ave flown; on my bow birds their deserted nests leave
              No squirrel on my trunk, for its mate fights

No butterfly dances on my arms bare
  No child builds earthen castles on my feet
A wanderer no more gets my shade’s care
         Soon I’ll myself fall and destiny meet

 A flash back of my deprived, neglected childhood
             Wasn’t I self-sprouting on a rugged desolate land?
Not behind my upbringing a caring gardener stood
           Fierce winds and lightning lashed me unrestrained

                   Upon me fell the rays of the burning sun enraged
Inflicting wounds, ripping my bark and burning tender skin
       To destroy me was the object that kept each one engaged
  Clinging to the breast of my mother-earth suckling I begin

Lovingly the mother-earth held me to her bosom tight
                 Monstrous was the cruelty and tyranny unleashed
The cyclone of adversities engaged me continually in fight
          Every dagger pointing at me, every sword unsheathed

                  Thus, I grew up as a full-blown luscious tree
 The clouds welcomed my adolescence unfurling their hairs
  On my leaves the raindrops engaged in a dancing spree
  Not one from the host of trees my height and beauty bears

But, now isn’t the time to talk about the olden days
The claws of time mauled my physique, my dreams and my thought
            Listen to what my every sinking pulse prays
                                Cut me not, O axe! Cut me not, cut me not.

A Dream of Astral Death

Last night
I dreamed in poetry
pacing through the streets
In poured the heavens
and darkness
I passed a girl walking opposite:
our eyes met but our lips laid sleeping
I wondered how many times
in my lonely life
I could have eluded being lonely
by just saying one word to a stranger in passing.

In deep thought, I glanced to the
sea of heavens, stars, and distance
and witnessed the death of our planet by collision
In such a lonely death,
I couldn't help but feel empowered.

Nostalgia

I do remember myself in my childhood -
The time which outran soon,
Just as a lonely ray -
In a night without the moon.

I do remember going to the fields -
Which remained flooded with pond water,
And watched the cows going with their tilted head,
From beneath trees as the 'drops. dripped on the bower.

I do remember the playful fights -
With my little friends each with weakened might,
And it was love of course
Which was bond's source.

I do remember playing in the mango grove -
Along with some of my dears.
And when it went long-
I was moulded with punishment fears.

I do remember my grandfather-
Who with his stories
Made my heart as light as a feather
And still it was for nothing could I miss either.

Most of the sibling stage hath passed by-
Mothers's love ,fathers strength are amongst the left few;
My cousin too hath remained and he-
Is amongst the smoked hives left bee.

Like a lonely boat in ripple-less water-
Like a beakorn in a moonless night-
I would like to cherish them rather
Losing them like a ray of light.

The Lonely Moon Rising.

Where does the river flow,
If not to you?
You make my heart sing.
I sit gazing out over the lake.
The sunsets, as the moon rises.
The water glistens,
So calm and peaceful.
Ducks fly going to their home,
Reflections on the water.
So peaceful yet so lonely,
And I think if only ………...
If only you were here to share,
To share in this wonderful time,
To share in my life.
For you to know how my heart feels.
A lonely tear falls, as I am missing you.
Wanting you by my side.
A deep breath taken as if it were my last,
A sigh, thinking of the past.
Where will my life go,
Is this the end?
I am loving you so,
Why pretend?
The sun now gone,
As I sit all alone.
The lonely moon rising.

Poodle Flirt

Female Doggie Likes to kiss the cheek of my Beastly Pose
One that likes to be counted on as a dear friend forever
I am a Human counterpart,searching for a permanent relation
Man's best friend is a female type,ready to touch a sweet moment Expression
Flirting with me,her master weak,to understand in a balanced peak
Samantha is her name that was given,paw in hand,strolling down a lonely lane
A clear horizon of bluest stream,streaking across an atmosphere dream
Flying aces,in acrobatic flight,Sam and I are watching them in sight
Sitting upon the lush green hill,Both of us contemplating,an early fall chill
Jennifer,a neighbor of mine,is coming up the side
Charles,a Terrier small,with a grin that they both cannot hide
It is the four of us here,lying side by side,to see the setting sun slowly fade
A day,indeed,for a gentleman and a lady
Poodle and a puppy,keeping private thoughts their way
The moon is clear,above the early hour,
Saying a Fond farewell to our opposite sex
Only to promise,many more excursions that will fill the lonely day
We are not alone as the evening peers,to temporarily stay
The ending of our free time for just a little bit
Excuse me while I clean the rest of Samantha as she patiently does sit

Wings to Fly

If I had wings to fly
I would surely fly away
To a desert time and place
So none could find my face
If I had wings to fly
I would soar above the clouds
Far from here and now
To where? To there somehow
If I had wings to fly

If I had wings to fly
I would fly to be alone
Where nothing could go wrong
And I would sing my song
If I had wings to fly
I would mount above the world
To escape your winds that whirl
And the stones of boys and girls
If I had wings to fly

If I, If I had wings to fly, I would view from a bird's eye
How lonely you and I would be when doves fly, doves cry
If I, If I had wings to fly I would view from a bird's eye
How lonely you and I would be when doves cry, doves die (Chorus)

If I had wings to fly
I'd fly right back to truth
To a place of hope with you
Where we could start anew
If I had wings to fly
I'd make my flight complete
And take you high with me
For all the world to see
If I had wings to fly

If I had wings to fly
I'd not fly away again
For I was wrong there and then
I won't wish for where I've been
If I had wings to fly
I'd give my wings to you
For your love for me is proved
And our love can not be moved
Even if I had wings to fly

The Very Last Tree

a relic among the towering rods
of industrial steel and iron shod
it weeps forever in the dying day
for the lost abandoned way
twilight gives no warmth
no ray of sunlight pierces the north
clouds of inky black sin
was the gift born from Men
Its brothers and fathers have all fell
and no one cares to hear the story it can tell
it just stands there atop the hill
for an ax to make the kill
so lonely there on its deathbed perch
it wonders if this is what it has found at the end of its search:
To all whom a forgotten life has led
that they have always already been dead
No one cares or hears its cry
underneath this scorched umbrella sky
it was once life itself to these things
but industry's tool is all that sings
only one question asks this last lonely tree
"Why have you all deserted me?"
