To all the heart-breakers- -a ZOMBIE valentine poem-

Wouldn't you rather~

Wouldn't you rather~ be dead?
Maybe shoot yourself in the head?
Over my dead body, I would never want to be a zombie like you.
The sight of your limbs are rotten all the time.
Sorry that the sight of you looks like a 3 legged swine.
So go ahead and do us a all favor,
hide and stash yourself away from all your neighbor.
I think i'd rather have my eyes stuck with glue
So I won't have to look at you
When it comes to family friends, you ain't got none.
Your always gonna be called the lonely retarded one.
Who could ever love a face like yours.
not even your mother can see pass your gore's
No need for privacy when you pee
Go ahead and take a leak and drown yourself in the sea.
Don't think for one second you are irresistible
Love making with a zombie is impossible.

Wouldn't you rather be dead?
maybe shoot yourself in the head

The time to kill yourself is at hand.
Slicing your wrist is what we recommend.
Cut off your tongue, don't want to hear you squeal.
Blood all over, your face is no big deal
A sword or machete will only pick up the pace
I wanna see your guts pop out your mid-waist
Contaminated objects is a must
Anything to remove your face of disgust.
The easy part is the best
Once you are gone we will all feel blessed,
The flaw of your existence
Is what keeps us all in distance

Wouldn't you rather be dead?
maybe shoot yourself in the head

Close your eyes and die
No one wants to hear you cry
You said you wanted to be loved
believe me~ your better off unloved
I say go do yourself off
Anyways you've always had it rough...
Go ahead and scream
This is not a dream
Now see how you make me feel
All I want is for you to end your ugly ordeal.
I will praise this day of course
Knowing soon you'll be a rotting corpse.

happy valentine ~ TO: All My DEADBEAT X-es from Texas..

Maybe You'll Laugh

I need you like I need air
Close my eyes, your face I see
An unexplained obsession

Long distance relationships
Test the limits of the mind
When bodies can't touch in person
Thank God for web cams

An arrow to the bullseye
A basketball to the hoop
Whichever game you're playing
Give it your best shot

I jiggle when I wiggle
I got some bounce to my ounce
Having sex is not sexy
Porn is deceiving

If I could have some ice cream
With a piece of chocolate cake
Cover it with caramel
The perfect threesome.

First Love

First Love

A man remembers his first love.
Until he finds his grave.
If he lives to be a hundred.
That's what he'll always crave.

For some it might be a blonde.
A red head or brunette.
Others are still looking.
They haven't found it yet.

For some it is those buns of steel.
We've all heard about.
Whatever a mans first love is.
He hates to go without.

There may be some who's first love.
Is in the color of her eyes.
I'll always remember my first love.
A greasy cheese burger and fries.

Make it a double patty.
With everything on top.
Ketchup, mustard, or special sauce.
Please don't ever stop.

Fries fried to a golden brown.
Thin and crispy too.
A greasy cheese burger with some fries.
No talking til I'm through.

So now you know my secret.
A greasy cheeseburger and fries.
If you want inside my heart.
Make mine super size.

There you go again little Sly fox P.D.
Another game of tag and jeopardy.
Clever, clever, little fox so bloodthirsty.
Chaos roams through your veins of liberty.
You walk the ground, prancing around your hostility.
Marching down with the dignity of mis-guided anarchy.

I'm gonna hunt you smell end it well.
Hang you up from your trophy tail.
Kiss your night one last farewell.
By morning dawn your foxy tail,
Won't live another tale to tell.

I'm gonna find ya' ~ pull your hideout from where you hide.
Smack you around in your everyday rebellious ways.
Thinking you can defeat my crowd with your lawlessness..
I don't need no hounds to track your unlivable Holy-mess.
You created a selfish character of kindness for the blindness.
You prey on the sheep's and linger on their wall of hopelessness.
Your sinfulness grew from the boldness, and bitterness,
Of growing up parent-less.
My dear Sly Fox are you on alert with your ears of nobleness.
Did you not hear me creeping while you were sleeping.

Sly fox the destroyer!

You are right, you are a mischievous game of hunt!
My trap is set and waiting for you by the river front.
Go ahead, take a drink, pull one last obnoxious stunt.
Run and run, as fast as you can!
You can't out run this one game of Skitty Skat fox hunt.....

Eccentric eyes

Eccentric eyes

He felt her molding in his mind with sorcery and guise;
the gorgeous and deceptive maid, out of his poems leapt
confusion causing in his thoughts her almond eyes of vice,
theatrical eccentric play, and Shakespearean script.

Enchanting her Medusa comb with serpents was so crowned,
two wolfish fangs protruded when her dismal glance she gleamed
her howling lifted in the air as sharp as ultrasound,
abruptly, thus, out of his eyes, eccentric feelings streamed.

In order to enchant the maid, he started dancing jazz
he wore a Capri pair of pants and fuchsia polo shirt
behind his ear a daisy bore, with splendor and pizzazz,
his smile allowed three golden teeth to shine virile and pert.

Eccentric was his dance for her, outside the discotheque
with eyes that squinted humorous, he jumped par amor'
the serpents twisted happily and hissed to bedeck
the Saturday performance of his sandals on the floor.

Delighted was her evilness, the snakes their eyes then crossed
because his eccentricity prevailed in logic since
his golden teeth the creatures stunned, ensorcelled and embossed,
and in the maiden's frozen heart, he was transformed to Prince.

James Bond the Poet

Double oh Sevens
The gamble of dangerous men
Poets who carry guns
To shoot out the hearts
Of unsuspecting ladies
A single word, a bullet
That can wound or kill the love
Of any careless romance
Yet they fall at the feet
Of mystery and sweet words
And later in the evening
Tears flow from ladies of sadness
Left alone among the sheets of love
The Spy, he could save the world
Yet save not one single love
He grew old and alone
His last thought among the living
I die a lover, and never felt love

Thy sightly, blooming charm, gents' thoughts enthralled,
and attar's scent, their wonderment inflamed,
revealing and contoured thy dressing mould,
transformed their sentiments to status maimed!

The short, designer-made and bold tight skirts,
thy geodetic curves embraced like gloves,
where insolent, male feelings, made for birds,
provoked thine ardour and my savage shoves.

Thou courted wert, by the surrounding plebe,
that dull and raw, with amateurish flair,
undaunted forged inventiveness, and dweeb
they lionhearted tried to kiss your hair.

Disdained, the suitors though, exclaimed defeat,
thy beau's wrath proved their charming obsolete.

Dragons Wish

One night while stargazing, Dragon and I, got to see a falling star… descend.
I thought that would be great, so I told him he could make a wish on them…
But Dragon’s are really quite unique, and don’t always think, like you and me.
No, NOT at all! And you should believe, things began to unravel, immediately:

About to make that wish… He realized the moon descends every night.
And the sun descends, like the moon… every single day, at every Twilight.
Becoming horrified that so many wishes had gone by him, totally unused!
He decided to wish upon the star, that all past wishes, can now come, to be used.

There is logic here, I think, as Dragon hordes things; he’d do it with wishes, too.
When I tried to explain, that’s not how wishes work, they have to be rare and few.
With falling stars, it has to come from one, that came to ground, willing to share.
Now Dragon is a stubborn thing and decided, I wanted them all for myself, to snare.

He stomped his foot, as the 2 year old he is, crying he didn’t want to share not one.
So I patiently explained that there are bigger stars everywhere, bigger than our sun!
He was sure I’d done him wrong and had lied, after all, his eyes are very keen.
The bigger, the better, and our sun was the biggest thing, that he had ever seen!

It’s brightness has gobs of power, in fact, I’d said it powers all the Earth, he recalled.
So its wish couldn’t be small… he said it’s not nice, to not share, with him at all.
Now a tantrum was about to ensue, from our 2 year old who’d skipped his nap.
And don’t forget he’s a Dragon, too! It wasn’t a good idea to fall into this trap!

Some things are better to not go through. Why fight the battle, if you can stop the war?
In the end I took that wish… and wished I’d never took him on that wishful tour.
You know what? I did find that peace finally came back and did preside, in a wink.
As I got his blankie for his bed, and tucked him in so nice and neat, I paused to think.

Next year would be a better time, to view the meteor showers, after we both have…
A well-deserved nap. Don’t you think? When he’s a tad more grown up, I did add…
Besides my wishes, in the past, have served me well, as they brought him here to me.
And I ’d need one more wish this year, to help him when flying… to not hit the trees!

Driving My Kids Crazy

Driving my kids crazy
Every day and night
Because my mind is hazy
Nothing comes out right

Still, I keep on teaching
The foggy lessons in my head
At the end of all my preaching
There's but one thing said

"I know what you are saying...
You said that yesterday."
In their heads their praying
I will go away

Still, they do consult me
When they are truly stuck
But, if I get to wordy
They'll be out of luck

The message will start hazing
From their doe-eyed sight
This act starts with a glazing
Of eyes and face and light

I see their minds have left me
They are waiting out their time
And if, they ignore me
It is a small crime

I know my kids all love me
And I feel just the same
Still I hope they'd all agree
In this there's no blame

And so I may keep yapping
Each and every day
But If disaster's tapping
I'll be on the way

I just want to guide my kids
Not drive them away
As I watch them roll those lids
I see the end of day

Okay, I'll be quiet now
No more torture, pain, or strife
And if, you'll just show me how
I'll go e-mail my wife

Many years ago, when we were all young,
We really thought life, would be so much fun.
While playing dress-up, trying on mom’s stuff,
Putting on make-up, we found to be tough.

Then came our schooling, and boy things would change,
“Those aren’t our parents”, when they acted strange.
Sometimes they were hip, but old-fashioned too,
That’s something I swore, I would never do.

Wishing you were older, adults had it made,
They would do nothing, yet still would be paid.
That is how little, we all had known,
We surely found out, once we were grown.

Loving the twenties, we’d go out with friends,
When we went shopping, we followed the trends.
Doing what we wanted, and staying out late,
It didn’t matter, what time we all ate.

Then came the thirties, and most of us wed,
Watch what you wish for, my parents had said.
We had to work hard, many bills to pay,
I guess they were right, what more can I say?

Raising your children, was hardest of all,
Needing some advice, your parent’s you’d call.
It seemed so easy, they needed no rest,
So now it’s your turn, you learned from the best.

The forties arrived, that was a shocker,
We’d spend lots of time, just at the doctor.
Back aches and headaches, so tired you’d be,
Trying not to cough, or else you would pee.

The fifties would come, and your grandkids too,
Where were your glasses? You hadn’t a clue.
You searched here and there, and under the bed,
“Hey grandma” they laughed, “They’re right on your head”.

Here come the sixties, now let’s have some fun,
You are retired; your work is all done.
To dinner with friends, you dressed and you wait,
They never show up, you have the wrong date.

Now the seventies, with friends playing games,
If only you could, remember their names.
You try hard to hide, those under-eye bags,
Gravity happens, and everything sags.

Enjoy every day, and have a good laugh,
All the steps you took, led down a new path.
Live life as it comes, each year a new page,
One thing is for sure, everyone will age.

Where The Grass Is Turning Brown In Spots I Buried My Memories

List of things to do before

I fall in love again
I allow my mind to take me
Into the
A wild opened fields
where the grass is turning brown in spots
There’s one
 Wild flower
Dozens of
Scattered pebbles,
Under my feet
Taunted memories,
Bare trees with bend trunks
A cool breeze washes my face
No more umbrella tree
To relief me from
Ray of the sun
I squint from the sun in my eyes
Think of the ghost in my past
Or to deal with the
Ray of the sun
Lists of things to do before
I fall I love again
Buried the pain
Low the drawbridge
Keep the enemy out
I want to be happier
Than I‘ve ever been
Fall in love again
I buried
 Painful memories
Under the bare umbrella trees

Dear Michelle

You almost had me,
I wanted you,
The way you stuck to me like super glue,
I was feeling you,
But I knew,
I could never have you,
But, the way you looked at me,
The way my body pleads,
We can never be,
Because I’m too old,
And your only thirteen.

There's a Cookie Monster
Somewhere in my house
Cookies are disappearing
Too quick to be a mouse
Yesterday the jar was full
Is there something wrong
Tonight the jar's half empty
Where have cookies gone
I search from room to room
With a flashlight in my hand
I'm down to one last room
Where sleeps my little man
So I quietly open his door
Like a spy I sneak inside
In bed sleeps Cookie Monster
He's not even trying to hide
Crumbs still on his cheeks
And icing still on his lips
A huge smile across his face
He's dreaming chocolate chips

The Right Thing to Do

Written 7 March 2014

Bruce and Jennie, both were 10,
Had been playmates all their lives.
One day, Bruce proclaimed,
“Jennie… most good men have wives.”

He professed his love for her.
Jennie said she loved him too.
They decided that getting married
Was ‘the right thing’ to do.

So, Bruce went to speak to her father,
Who was doing yard work at the time.
“May I speak to you, Mr. Johnson?”
“Sure, Bruce. What’s on your mind?”

“Sir, I love your Jennie;
And Jennie, she loves me;
But we need your permission
To be married… to be “We.”

Impressed by Bruce’s courage,
He knew this confrontation must be tough.
He smiled and asked, “Bruce, are you sure
You love my daughter enough?”

Bruce’s face became stern, he said,
“Mr. Johnson, let me tell you…
I love Jennie so much…and she loves me.
We’re both sure it’s the right thing to do.”

He was moved by Bruce’s ardor,
But permission was not his to give.
So, quick as flash, he responded,
“But Bruce…where will you live?”

“Sir, I measured her room;
Then I measured mine.
Hers is 40 percent bigger.
We’ll live there. We’ll be fine.

If we have extra stuff,
We’ll keep that in my room.
We’ll keep our places neat and tidy.
You won’t even need a broom.

And both our parents can save money
On babysitters too.
Even if you do things on the same night,
You’ll only need one sitter, not two.”

Mr. Johnson was impressed with his logic,
But this marriage idea was no longer funny.
He smiled and said, “That’s good thinking, Bruce;
But what are you gonna do for money?

“Why, Mr. Johnson, I get twelve-fifty a week allowance;
And let me remind you, Jennie also gets ten.
Throw in our birthdays and Christmas cash….
Why, we might even have money to lend.”

Desperate now, he thought,
“Next, I guess they’ll want a car.”
Then he asked, “But Bruce, what if you have kids?”
"Aawww," blushed Bruce... “We’ve been lucky so far.”

The Happy Dress

It’s a mother-in-law’s right, her prerogative
To ‘drop in’ on her son almost any time,
But a mother-in-law should always be prepared
For almost anything she may find.

So, Mother Cready dropped in unannounced;
But as she approached her son’s front door,
Suddenly it opened. “Ta Da! Do you like my happy dress?”
His young wife stood there in her ‘all in all’…nothing more.

“Oh, my word!” Mother Cready exclaimed with surprise.
“Why are you naked? Are you insane?”
Just as surprised, the young wife pulled her inside.
“Please, Mother Cready…if you’ll just let me explain.

You see, when Mac has had a rough day,
When he’s been under a lot of stress,
Sometimes I meet him at the door
With a smile and a kiss in my happy dress.

It always relaxes him and makes him happy,
Then he makes me very happy too.
It works for Mac and me, Mother Cready;
Maybe it would work for you.”

“We’re too old for such.” scoffed Mother Cready.
“Perhaps if we were young like the two of you.”
But, on her way home, she decided
She was definitely going to try it too.

So, she bathed and put on some nice perfume,
Fixed her make-up and her hair.
She was thinking some very sexy thoughts,
But she had to hurry…no time to spare.

She heard her husband’s car in the driveway;
And as he approached their front door,
She threw it open. “Ta Da! Do you like my happy dress?"
She stood there in her ‘all in all’…nothing more.

She saw a little grimace cross his face,
But that was not the worst.
Then he said, “I appreciate your happy dress, my dear;
But maybe you should have ironed it first.”

“Well…your ‘happy dress’ could use some ironing;
But my birthday suit could use some starch.”
He kissed her. “Bet you and I can work it out.”;
And off to bed they marched.

Bayou Mermaid

I was fishing with Dub “Stinky” Crank
down on Bayou Rumpawpaw.
We were in Dub’s old rusty boat;
it didn’t have any noticeable leaks,
so we deemed it to be seaworthy.
We weren’t having a good day of fishing,
caught a couple or three goggle-eye.
We were doing more drinking than fishing,
so we really didn’t care.
Then, to our surprise,
a mermaid appeared right there by the boat.
She said her name was Jewel,
could have been,
who knows when a mermaid’s lying.
It was love at first sight for old Dub,
but then again, he was drunk.

The Sun In My Face

I awoke this morning to the sun in my face ,
Quickly I sat up for I knew it was late .
My sleep has been so good since we came together,
The rest I get the peace I feel will be with me forever.
Can't remember when I have felt so good ,
Finding you has changed my life , I knew it would .
This is not something I would ever take for granted ,
Because I know the seeds of love have been planted .
It will grow and blossum into something so grand ,
Always glowing brightly no matter where I stand .
Not a worry or care do I feel on this day ,
Only joy and happiness will come our way.
I can say this from the bottom of my heart ,
Never will I feel alone when it's cold and dark .
To be awakened by the sun in my face ,
To be honest with you , it matters not if I am late .

Notes on Dating a Latino: What You Don't Learn in High School Spanish Class

One. Latino boys like Buffalo Wild Wings. It isn't clear why, but it's definitely emerging as a pattern.

Two. Latino boys are persistent. When he asks to kiss you for the first time, say no. Why? Because you've known him for a matter of weeks and he is not your boyfriend yet. Don't worry... he will continue to ask every week until you say yes.

Three. Latino boys are really good kissers.

Four. Latino boys love their family. His cousins are best friends, so you probably already know several of them. If any of his cousins also like you, you might think this is problematic. Your boyfriend will tell you that it's normal, and it's just because they're jealous, and not to worry about it. You will probably worry about it anyway. Sometimes it's better to let things go.

Five. Latino boys are romantic. He will tell you how he loves you in two languages and struggle to find an apt metaphor which he can pronounce in the English language. Since his English isn't perfect, he uses his hands to compensate when he speaks, uses a tilt of his head, a shift in his voice; he says most with his eyes, when he isn't speaking at all.

Six. Notice how he lights up when he smiles at you, like the sunrise... remember that the word for smile in Spanish is sonrisa.

Seven. When he offers to teach you the meringue, say yes. When you trip over each other's feet, laugh. When his face moves close to yours... kiss him.

Eight. When your racist father starts talking about socioeconomic classes, remind him that unlike your brother's American friends, your friends are sober. (Well, more sober. Do not bring up tequila. They're not potheads, at least.) Besides, your Spanish teacher is thrilled with your miraculous improvement in spoken Spanish.

Nine. When you go bowling with him and his cousins and he whispers in your ear that people are staring at us, tell him it's just because they're jealous that I have a boyfriend that will dance with me in public.

Ten. "Te amo" is a phrase that sounds prettiest when whispered.

After The storm

After the storm, she received her order of pepperoni-mushroom,
(it was a special delivery by her favorite pizza-man),

well baked over coals, on an oven-surface of tiled macadam,
covered with tons of smoked fresh Mozzarella, imported from Bhutan!
The pizza-man, (who outfaced the Storm in a morello-burgundy Chevrolet),
awaited patiently outside her house, lifting weights;

inside, she was chatting with her ballet tutor, while a bouquet
of rare rose blooms he imported for her, from Bering Straits.
The flowers arrived in a silver-gold 'enveloppant',
thence, très elegant, rang her bell, dancing in front of her door,

wearing a pistachio Diesel sweat-shirt and Compagnie Canedienne pants,
performing jumping sommersolts; best part of his acrobatic galore.
She opened her mouth in awe! His daring leg's step-arabesque
was a provocation; thus, she responded with a tread-chasse,

- and then, both slid on ice dancing in a theater burlesque
that their mind created following the notes of a distant jazzy brass.
In harmony performed jump combinations, 'et sur la tiers',
with a rose in her hair, she started eating a tasteful slice of the pizza,

while he lifted her over his head, with a 'reverse',
(- fact is, right after her last 'lutz-jump' fall, she suffered amnesia).
Trying to hold her, he gallantly bumped his head on a fender,
and while listening to numerous chirping yellow birds,

decided that she was ancient Penelope and he, a contender,
who fought with bravery to conquer her heart she kept undeterred.
Dancing, they swayed behind the hill, and gliding on a vast plain,
he noticed that they were Pizza-Transferred through time,

she confessed that her granny was from Aquitaine,
thenceforth in incandescence they ice skated until Springtime.

True Love

Her hair as red as a flame
Her lips were colored the same
… That Irish Lass
… So full of sass
He’s wonderin’ if she’d take his name?

Her to him: “You’ve got a crust!
With courtin’ and dowry a must …
… in wooin’ I’ll naught
… ever be caught
Afore me name I’d adjust!”

“Oh, wee lassie, please see:
‘T is you - the woman for me
… I’ve 10,000 wells
… of oil I sells
Marry me”, he said on one knee.

“Oh! My! I see you’re sincere
My name change … it’s drawing near
… ‘bout that oil …
… can’t let it spoil!
Now … what’s my new last name, me dear?

Billy the Kid's Great Escape

Sentenced to hang in the town of Lincoln,
Billy made his bold escape.
Both of his guards died from thinking
that a shackled young boy couldn't break away.
I've often wondered what thoughts were going through his head
as he stood staring out that window chained to the floor by his bed,
watching the gallows being built that would soon seal his fate.
Was he planning at that very moment his greatest escape?
Did he already know that his hanging would never come to be?
Was he already aware that before night fall, once again he'd be free?
Whatever his thoughts, they were interrupted rudely
by Deputy Bob Ollinger, one of his guards while in custody.
"Word has it you said that if we ever met again you'd kill me on the spot.
Well here I am Kid. Now's your chance. Show me what you've got.
It's a shame that you'll hang in another week or two,
because I'd love to be the one who gets to kill you.
I've got 16 silver dimes in the barrells of my shotgun.
I'd love to try them out on you, but I can't unless you run.
If I free you from those chains will you run for the door?
Oh by the way Kid, your Ma was one sweet dirty whore.
I'll kill you before you hang Kid. That's a sure bet."
"Be careful Bob," said the Kid, "I'm not hung yet."
Bob thrusted his shotgun hard into Billy's gut.
The Kid looked up at him in pain and said, "Now what?"
"Don't do it Bob," Bell screamed angrily,
"or you'll be the one who'll hang for sure
for killing an unarmed man in cold blood
who was chained helplessly to the floor.
It's time for the other prisoners to be escorted across the street to be fed.
The Kid's not going anywhere. He's chained to the floor by his bed.
Anyway, I took the prisoners last so now it's your turn.
Go and have yourself a beer and I'll stay here
and guard the Kid until you return."
Bob Ollinger placed his shotgun into the gun rack.
Before he left he said to Billy, "I'll see you when I get back."
No one can say for sure if the above dialog ever truly took place,
but one thing's for sure,
Ollinger tormented Billy at a merciless endless pace.
They were arch enemies who fought against each other
during the Lincoln County War.
Ollinger was in the posse that killed John Tunstall,
Billy's employer, friend and mentor.
"I have to use the privy Bell," Billy said to the deputy.
Bell kept his rifle trained on Billy as he tossed him the key.
Billy unlocked the chains that kept him bound to the floor.
Still in handcuffs and leg irons, Bell escorted Billy out the door.
Billy entered the outhouse closing the door behind him.
"Let's not take too long in there Kid," Bell said with a humorous grin.
While in the outhouse Billy managed to slip one of his hands out of his handcuff.
"You fall in there Kid?" Bell laughed, "You've been in there long enough."
"I'm coming out now Bell," Billy said opening the door.
"Sorry I took so long Bell. I must have ate something bad for sure."
Deputy Bell then escorted Billy back to the jail cell.
Once inside, Billy spun around and smacked hard Deputy James Bell.
Bell lost his balance, dropped his rifle and was momentarily stunned.
"Hands Up Bell!," the Kid yelled. In his hand was a gun.
"Please don't do it Bell," Billy pleaded, but Bell tried to run.
The Kid had no choice but to do what had to be done.
He shot and killed Bell, then went and got Ollinger's shotgun.
The Kid never found pleasure in killing,
but Ollinger would indeed be the exception.
Knowing that Ollinger heard the gunfire, Billy stood by the window
and waited for Ollinger to appear in the street down below.
One senior named Godfrey saw Bell fall dead down the stairs.
The moment probably gave Godfrey a few more gray hairs.
Ollinger ran out into the street as Godfrey screamed,
"The Kid's killed Bell!"
Ollinger looked up into both barrels of his own shotgun
and whispered, "..and now he's killed me as well."
"Hello Bob!," Billy called out with a song in his heart
just prior to blowing Bob Ollinger apart.
He blasted both barrels into Ollinger's chest and face.
Pieces of old Bob lay scattered all over the place.
Billy smashed his shotgun in two, threw it at him but missed.
"You'll never rifle me again," he screamed, "you son of a b*tch!"
On the balcony he addressed the crowd whose jaws hung agape.
"I don't want to hurt anyone,
but I'll kill anybody who tries to prevent my escape."
In the office he found a sledge hammer
and smashed the chains of his leg irons free.
He told Godfrey to fetch him a fast horse immediately.
As he walked down the stairs, he came upon Bell's lifeless body
and many eyewitnesses admit
that the Kid looked upon him and said almost tearfully,
"I'm sorry I killed you Bell, but couldn't help it."
As Billy mounted the horse the chains of his leg irons startled the beast.
The horse reared up and threw Billy down onto the street.
He was at this point his most vulnerable laying down on the ground.
The crowd could have overtaken him easily, but none made a move or a sound.
Once again Billy mounted the horse
and fled with the sound of his leg iron chains ringing.
Many claim that as he rode out of Lincoln County
that they heard the Kid singing.
Billy had escaped danger so many other times in his past,
but this was his greatest escape ever. It would also be his last.
"I had no intention of killing either one of them. My plan was to tie and gag Bell and then get out of there before Ollinger got back, but then things went terribly wrong.....I certainly didn't want to kill Bell, but I had to in order to save my own life....I never felt happier than when I gave it to old Bob. I said, "Look up here old boy and see what you're getting". I then blasted him in the face and breast. He use to ride me to the point where I just couldn't take it anymore."
- Billy the Kid

Love Love Naughty Love

Love, love, oh naughty love How thrilling naughty love can be Creates excitement like nothing else Like a kiss behind a big tree The feeling you get of naughtiness Adds excitement to the scene Like stealing a cookie or apple pie Or hands full of jelly beans We never lose that wee person's touch Even when we've growed up big Raiding the fridge at one in the morning But maybe we should wear a wig It's human nature to sneak around Like I said it's like stealing a kiss Come to think of it forget the snacks Rather roll in the hay with a miss Love, love, oh naughty love How thrilling naughty love can be The ultimate feeling ever felt by mankind Since us guys came down from the tree © Jack Ellison 2013

He Likes Ugly Girls

Baby, I see you starin' at him,
But you ought to give me whirl;
'Cause he's a handsome hunk,
But when he gets drunk...
Baby, he likes ugly girls.

Yeah, he still lives with his Momma
Even tho' he's 33.
She starches and irons his jeans and shirts,
And he brings home new recipes.

She's told him he's good lookin',
And there's no doubt it's true;
But when he takes home a pretty woman,
Momma says, "Son, she won't be true."

She says, "Son, if you want good lovin',
A plain and homely gal will provide.
She'll treat you right, mornin' and night;
And keep you satisfied."

So baby, you can stare at him,
But you ought to give me a whirl;
'Cause he's a handsome hunk,
But when he gets drunk....
Baby, he likes ugly girls.

You don't stand a chance.
That boy loves his Momma.

Yeah, he goes for ugly girls.

Piddle Eee Dee

Piddle Eee Dee

Dribble, Dribble, breakage, and Piddle
A pox on that little dog!
Ankle biter, obnoxious barker…
                   Wish he’d just shut up!

Chased him around all day long
But he still got my sofa again!
I wonder if my Dear Old Mother-in-Law
Could survive just one day without him!
Perhaps I should now get out the broom
A week of destroying stuff, is just too much!
So I used the broom to scoot him out the door.
Then he proceeded to dig my flowers up!

From under the fence he made an escape
I chased him for an hour and a half!
Then my Mother-in-Law came back home
                    And picked her precious up!!!!
Such love and warmth I've never seen… Darn…
Wouldn't that be my luck! So I’m back to…

Dribble, Dribble, breakage, and Piddle
A pox on that little dog!
Ankle biter, obnoxious barker…
                   Wish he’d just shut up!

Flailin’,  flailin’, flailin’;
There goes my ball sailin’
Into a trap, the water or the woods.

Flailin’, flailin’, flailin’;
You can hear me wailin’,
“Why won’t that damn ball go where it should?

Drives go right. Putts go wrong.
I shank my wedges or ‘skull’em’ long.
My golf game’s just no damn good.

I’m swingin’ too hard & lookin’ up;
As if I’ll actually see it go in the cup….
As if it ever really would.

My alignment’s too far left or right.
My ball can find the only tree or trap in sight,
Even if the shot starts out lookin’ good.

These days, I carry some special tools:
A handheld weed eater with extra spools
And a pruning saw, in case I’m in the woods.

I’ve even tried to ‘buy’ a better game.
No matter. My scores were just as lame.
Those new clubs didn’t do what they should.

Bogies & doubles...even triples... are common scores.
I very rarely get pars any more.
Believe me, I’d change it if I could.

My buddies said it must be me,
A teaching pro I should go see.
They said he’d fix my game…..if anybody could.

The pro said, “Hit some balls while I watch you.
Just set up and hit’em like you normally do.
We’ll see if I can do your game any good.”

After the first bucket of balls I hit,
He calmly said, “Take two weeks off…then quit.
Take my advice. You really should.”

Now, what really has me vexed,
I’m wondering what I’ll try next.
That pro’s advice was no damn good.

So, I struggle along with my flailin’ game;
But, strangely enough, have fun just the same,
Finding hope in rare shots that are actually good.

Sonnet Chiweenie Boo

Your dad, a Dachshund once stuck in Chihuahua.
The best of both in you, with that expectant
Confusing carpets for the lawn enigma.
I know….the raining….getting wet….you can’t.

As coldness chills the room, a sheet for you.
The perfect tucking of in, but you moved!
I ponder, just how crazy is my Boo?
The sheet’s thread count too low to be approved?

Your dance in circles, spinning on the floor.
Rewards and treasures known upon the racks.
Induced by meals and that one pantry door.
In such a fury, choking on the snacks.

I know what God’s book says, I’ve searched it whole.
But still, I hope you have a little soul.

Young Love

Both Marcus and Sharika recently turned twelve years of age.
Marcus told Sharika he liked the way her butt moved when she walked.
Sharika kept on walking, she thinks Marcus is kind of silly, sort of cute.
A stern school hall monitor overheard what the young lad had said.
She immediately went to the principal’s office and informed him of the incident.
The principal decided to suspend Marcus for a week because he deemed
Marcus’ remarks to be a clear and overt case of sexual harassment.
The PC Police in this over sensitive age of political correctness
sure know how to suck every single ounce of romance out of young love.

The Intensifying love story

The Intensifying love story by
I simply adore you, my Mesmerizing
As you are my first love.
Who lighted my heart with full of pride and
Who ignited the ecstasy towards lovely life.
Who relieved my pains and took sorrows
as boon.
You made me fall sick in your love when I
see your madness.
I like the way,
The way you gazed at me and my smoky
The way you smiled at my mystifying and
enigmatic appeal.
The way you every time praises me.
The way you galvanized me and proved
the meaning of life.
You are the one,
Yes, you are the one who aroused my
feelings, my emotions.
Yes, you are the one who explored my
passion of love, flaming in my charismatic
Yes, you are the lovely treasure which god
had baptized me.
Yes, you are the one who turned the page
of my life.
Eureka, I found my true love!!!!
Bewilderedly I did not know, where is my
love taking me to ??
But still I like the way,
Like, the way you clutched me into your
Like, the way you kissed my palms.
Like, the way you hugged me, caressed
Like, the way you rubbed your fingers on
my lips.
Like, the way you tickled me on my neck.
Like, the way you squeezed my cheeks.
Like, the way you holded me up towards
the sky.
Like, the way when you inspired me to fly
so high.
Tears dropped from my eyes and the very
next moment I realized that it is my
sensational love. My true love. Then I
decided that no one had right to do this
except you. If you want to know the
reason?? If yes??
Yes, because I seriously fell in love with
Yes, because you are the one to whom god
had assigned me to.
And here comes the Swifted instance
When, the moment you wore the golden
ring in my finger and I was happily waving
Just can’t forget the time when our long
lasting friendship turned into lifetime
It was just the blooming of two lover’s
indicating the herald of the marriage. It
means a lot for any girl in this amazing
And yes, you will always find my heart
topped with love showered only for you.
For you!!
And till my last breathe, my heart beats,
beating for you, only for you SUYOG!!
In fervour I wanted you to be mine forever,
We both sojourned in each other soul so
deeply that we just can’t wait for a single
second, unless and until, we share what is
running in our mind. It’s just because we
are so much accustomed to each other
I Love you, adore you, adore you forever

yet waiting is in vain.
And all that's left is hope
that love's a ball and chain.

A Boxcar Named Desire

No, we weren't a couple one expected.
"What could she be thinking", one reflected.
Yet we held an undefined attraction;
Some subconscious neuron interaction.

After weeks we gathered our composure
Time to face my parents' first exposure.
True, your looks were just a bit off kelter(sic).
Poets often live at homeless shelters.

Mother stiffened, held her throat, and gasped.
Father never moved, in shock perhaps.
Then we vowed to do what we must do.
Freight trains leave at seven, ten and two.

If I had lied like everyone else who achieved their goal,
I could have spared myself an useless headache,
and it seems late to realize that my honesty caused a mess!
There was a table for two sweethearts
in the finest restaurant, my first date supposed to have been perfect
with all the enthusiasm and the sorrounding athmophere:
a boutique of roses and scented candles!

The girl's name was Amenda with big eyes of sapphire,
the boy's name was Andrew a little outspoken but funny;
everything went smoothly, the food was superb and the waiter
with an Italian accent was humorous and helpful,
but happened next is something nobody would believe.

Amenda had too much wine and started to talk non-sense
asking me, " What kind of work do you do?"
I promptly replied, " I am a chief ! " and boasting with pride,
silly words flowed from my mouth, " You should see me
in my uniform...everybody loves it! " Amenda with angry eyes
yelled, " Everybody...including the dumb blonde
and the red headed who order food just to see you? "
I jolted as if in a powerful earthquake, " How do you know that? "
But she with a malignant glance exploded, " I saw them
flirting with you while they waited for their order! "

" Oh, pretty boy, you brought me here to listen to your aspiration,
I must be stupid enough to believe everything you say? "
I stood up, pushing back my seat and swore, " I never intented to lie,
Amanda...I am sorry for getting you upset, and if my honest caused a mess,
I apologize with all sincerity. " Ah, you even mention the word sincerity:
here's you reward, fool! " And splashing a glass of wine all over my sharp suit,
she left...while the crowd started to laugh, thinking it was a movie scene.

Here's my deepest reflection on telling little, white lies,
" Guys, on your first date...don't say what you actually do for a living,
invent a profession that brings in tons of money, like a surgeon or attorney;
go ahead and have fun, and the more excited you get her,
the more she'll believe you...who wants to be a loser on his first date? "

Post coitum omne animal triste est, sive gallus et mulier

Post coitum omne animal triste est,

             sive gallus et mulier*

Yes, no cockerel who rules the cackling roost

   Will stomach slander from Latin master;

But who will stand aside and let the ghost

Of hints slur old motherhood’s register.

Manhood must of needs hang its head in pain

   After all the sweat and toil in loins of love;

After millions of squiggly soldiers in vain

Drop their lean tails at the egg wall alcove.

Only the fool who dares call woman’s bluff

   Shall learn hard way positions in bedstead;

Virile pride will sink in the depths of fluff

While smooth gym-trained muscles rage instead.

As they say hereabouts sur le vieil Continent

La différence, Mon Sieur: lip’s shade content.

excepting the cock and the woman.”

Of Lust and Dissipation

A Spenserian Sonnet
(Mr. Snake falls in love with a garden hose)

Today I slithered up a grassy hill,
wet from the creek and eager to explore.
The urge to snare a mate devoured my will,
could not this be the day for me to score?

I spot you there beside the garden door,
your slick green shape pervades my hungry sight.
Your golden head criss-cross my eyes before
your trim tight coil peals visions of delight.

Yet when I push my moves into the light
your body squirms and grows before my eyes,
and dread arises in a burst of fright.
You spit at me in angry spurts, surprise

me with a gush of clear and liquid spray,
while I make haste to scuttle fast away.

Pearl, you are a diamond
I guess she always knew it.
A proper little helper,
helping through and through it.

She never gives a cheerio
or leaving like a plane.
She's always there to scatter sunshine
Even in the rain.

Pearl, you are a diamond
That no one can replace,
Chocking back the throttles
Just like a necker-lace.

Roads Traveled

A hank of damp hair hangs limply on her forehead. With the back of a work reddened hand she brushes it from her face. From the galvanized tub before her, she withdraws a well worn shirt from the murky water and places it on the weathered washboard. With lye soap in hand, she scrubs the sweat stained collar, stopping only to assess her progress. Her back aches from the stooped position she maintains. When finished, she carries them to the clothesline in the yard.

She is alone, free to occupy her mind with random thoughts. Things to do, always so many things to do. Things she has done or would like to . She allows herself a little flight of whimsy, thinking back to the days of her youth. She was pretty then. At least, the boys told her she was and she never corrected them. She would use her impish smile to flirt and lead them on. She would watch them try to outdo each other, acting the fool to gain her attention. Like the time Bobby Edson brought her a bouquet of goldenrod although he was allergic to the weed. She allows herself a quiet chuckle as she remembers him standing there, eyes watering, nose running, and trying so hard to be a man.

But that was long ago. Many years since William, her sweet William, with slicked down hair, starched shirt, and Sunday suit, stuttered through a request for her hand. And how, on her wedding day, he had borrowed his daddy's old Ford for their one night honeymoon at the hotel in town, only to have it break down a mile from the house, and William walking back to get some help. Such a tragedy then, yet so humorous now.

Where did those days go? When did life lose it's luster and become so predictable. All the years, one day stacked against another. Two boys, grown now, out in the fields with their dad. Truth is, William would not be able to do it without them, but don't try to tell him that. While his body may have weakened, as has hers, their real strength lies within their love for each other. They have not been strangers to their share of heartbreak, as with the loss of their only little girl. But they have also
had their share of blessings too. Be thankful she muses. He won't give you more then you can handle.

The wayward curl again escapes and cascades down her face. Absently, she brushes it back in place, and with a last glance out to where a tractors dust rises in the field, she blows a kiss, and turns back toward the house.

an untitled slam poem that addresses gender and also being a lesbian

"Oh," she whispers, "but she's here with a boy!" Her words, especially the painted blue one, stick to her palm covering her lips and mouth, I lace my fingers through yours and this happens simultaneously on opposite sides of the room, we look at each other and smile, the suppressed laughter in our mouths a balloon blown so full it's about to pop,

It pops.

You're not all boy.

We laugh because she saw you from far away, she saw you and your hair that basically spells out either, 'lesbian,' or, 'boy,' across your forehead.

I look at your eyes. I tell you: Jesus, she thinks you're a boy and she thinks I'm straight we've neeever been in this situation before.
We laugh.

And, oh, that waitress that one time said, "thank you sir," when you handed her your credit card, her words overflowing with poisonous flirtation, spilling out of her mouth along with a biohazardous receipt, Her fingertips brushed yours as she handed it to you,
She didn't know. Painful ignorance.
After she left, you asked, "So is she a lesbian? Or..."

I didn't have the heart to tell you that she thought you were all boy.

I also didn't have the heart to believe the waitress didn't know she was feeding us poison.

you acted like it was nothing, but I, like, internally growled or something because the only two people who are this protective over someone else are moms and girlfriends.

She whispers, "Oh, but she's here with a boy!" and the blue word caresses our cheeks like your thumb and mine, currently participating in some sort of passive aggressive thumb makeout session because that's a nervous habit we have when we hold hands.
And we have the words "boy" and "lesbian" written across our foreheads, so it's a good thing I focus on your eyes.

Caesar Sees Her Alliteration

Sea Czar Caesar sees her seated on a cedar two-seater beside the East Sea Seder. He grieves since he sees his sister, Esther Dexter, with her red festered blister, next her.

Guinevere is pleased her eager leader, Caesar’s seen her. In degrees, she breezes, “Sir, see our sea surf? These sea treasures are pleasures to sea czars and we serfs.”

Caesar desires, if it please her, to seize her and squeeze her.

But Esther Dexter who’s next her interjects the elder perspective protector with an inflective reflector.

“Easy, wheezy geezer Caesar. It may please her if you squeeze her at your leisure, but if you seize her in a fever, she’s sure to seizure; so leave her at ease, sir!”

Peeved Caesar, seethes, sneezes, wheezes, breathes and proceeds. He’s pissed his less best pest of a sister, Esther Dexter, with her red festered blister, persists amidst this tryst.

He flees to cleave Guinevere’s knees. “See here, dear Guinevere. I’m neither teaser nor misfeasor geezer and will not proceed to cede to my tongue twisted sister, Esther Dexter. Please heed to receive my believable plead so I may leave relieved.”

Guinevere is pleased with her Caesar and suggests to Esther Dexter to leave her and Caesar forever.

Bob, the Forgotten Valentine and Greedy Double Dater

My friends, this saga slowly unfurls
a love story that went quickly awry,
seems greedy Bob dated a pair of girls
when with one, to the other he’d lie.
The homlier girl’s name was Edith
who, nonetheless Bob was fond of,
but, greedy Bob wanted to live out the “myth”
and with sisters, he was sure to find love !
He began slyly asking about sister Kate
for her beauty was equalled by few,
she was young, and he believed her well worth the wait
she had enough sex appeal for two !
Bob’s antics had him severely troubled
because, he covered his tracks day and night,
his love-making prowess had quickly doubled
so his lovelife was going just right !
Well, finally Bob’s saga ended in terror
because the girls both found out what he’d done,
Bob had mixed their names up, in a passionate error
and what transpired next, was not very fun !
One of the sisters had taken Bob’s life
because he’d proven he couldn’t be “true”,
and the lesson he learned, at the end of that knife
taught, “you can’t have your Kate…..and Edith, too !

De Andy Lee (part one)

Talks about the little Lady Lee and me,
It all started at the first flight
Our adventure had an origin---
From Off-ego was where we met
So dazzling was her beauty that
Caught my eyes at first sight
And unresisting, my passion wooed along
Believe me, my eyes contended and my heart clamored
Though my lips stuttered
Deep down inside me was stamina within
Whispering “You can do it, yes, you can”

As I opened my eyes, unknowingly, I’d reached for Lee’s hands
“Hi pretty damsel… as anyone ever told… you…‘re charming”
Perhaps this was a poor pick up line
But she smiled anyway and then freed herself away
Like a butterfly hovered from my hands.

Not so long, Terry, a neighbor from Long-town
Knocked at my door, walked himself in as I consented
And handed me a postal, “thank you Terry”, I said
While I thought through who might mail me this
Piece on my palm which I was about to cut exposed
Alas a nightmare-like knocks from the dark
I (already) left my door ajar
“You help yourself in please” I utter’d as expected
“Good day sir, I’m Dandy. There is a lady waiting for you outside
She said are name is Lee De Lee”
Agape! “It must have been that lady from Off-ego,
Yes she’d seized my throat already. I think, my previous
Chat with her there was not bad after all”
Walked myself out with one of my finest attires
Dandy took me to that spot she picked him for me and left
Me, only me wandering and wallowing nervously in the chilly clouds

“Hail Mary, hope I guess right… and where is little Lee De Lee?”
I soliloquized… and as Heaven helped me,
She appeared and approached
“My apology for keeping you waiting Mr Handsome,
May be you did wow me like you did other ladies or not
But my question is this… Will you love me like
You never have loved any other lady in this city?”
Though puzzled me but “I must top this chat” I assured
“Not only love will I give, but all for our short courtship
And the thereafter long and everlasting wedlock”
I could see from her face, expressions said to say
‘Another clever words from your sweet mouth’
But lo she opted for most sensitive part of me,
Which could be very vulnerable sometimes
“What did you say that your sweet name is… Handsome?”
There I unveiled my name, which is Agape-
“A-G-A-P-E, yes, pronounced Aa-gaa-pey from On-town” I said….

The Con Tom Thumb

Tinker Bell married Tom Thumb
while they were both intoxicated on Jamaican rum.
Tom woke up in the local jail,
jumped up startled and screamed: “What the hell!”
The jailer said that “Peter Pan has pull here,
he supplies us all with real cheap beer”.
Tom inquired as to where here might be;
the jailer asked Tom just how drunk was he?
“This is Pirate’s Cove” the gendarme said
and pleaded with Tom not to puke on the bed.
“Where’s my darling Tinker Doll?” asked Thumb.
He was informed that she was at Jacko’s Bar still drinking rum.
Peter had come and posted her bail
and sprung the little trollop out of jail.
Now the con Tom Thumb sits broken hearted,
wondering how in the hell all of this got started.
The moral of this story is that when you drink,
don’t get sloshed while with that flighty little Tink.

Peaches McFee

Peaches McFee is a classmate of mine.
Peaches is actually her given name.
Her parents say they knew that she would be
as sweet as a fresh peach, thus her name.
Okay, Peaches McFee is a sweet person,
maybe as sweet as a pear, but a peach,
please, give me a break, no one is that sweet.
But even Peaches McFee’s parents would
never name a child of theirs “Pear McFee”.
Then, again, they did name their son Snap McFee.

Haughty Royalty

The Englishman Prince married a really high toned lady,
She was royalty too, so she was more than a little shady.
She looked like a horse and smelled like a cow,
But the pathetic Britisher married her anyhow.
All the kingdom’s subjects started praying they would never have a baby.

Oh lonely Inevitable Bear,
Padding claws, death in white
Sorrow in recurring nightmare
Instinct’s test; fight or flight?

Camouflage against the fence,
A challenge; my subconscious fear
Ominous slowly moving silence,
“Let me in, there’s a bear out here!”

Please Help Me, Re-lyric

Please help me, I've fallen
In Lust with You.
You're just so damn sexy,
That's why I'm hittin' on you.
You don't have to love me,
Some good sex will do.
Please help me, I've fallen
In Lust with You.

Yes, you turned me on
When I saw you walk in...
The face of an Angel,
A body just made for Sin.
Now, I may be real horny,
But one thing is true:
What would satisfy me, Girl
Would be to satisfy You.

So please help me, I've fallen
In Lust with You;
And I hope that you're fallin'
In Lust with me too;
But if not, then please fake it,
Please don't leave me "blue"...
Please help me, I've fallen
In Lust with You.

A Fishing

Oh, I Love to Go a Fishing.
I Go Most Every Day.
There Are Stories I Could Tell,
How the Big Ones Got Away.

But Only Another Fisherman,
Could Begin to Understand,
The Excitement That I Feel,
When the Big One Hits Dry Land.

Then of Course, There's the Cleaning
And the Fun of a Big Fish Fry,
Inviting All the Neighbors
And Your Fish Story Is No Lie.

Oh, I Love to Go a Fishing.
Would You like to Come Along?
It's Quiet by the Water
And Nothing Seems Too Wrong.

It's Peaceful and Relaxing,
Except When the Cork Goes Down.
Now That's When It's Lots of Fun
And it Keeps Away the Frown.

Sir Archibald and the Black Knight - Part 1

Let me sing you a tale, a story of old,
Of a man without fear, of a knight brave and bold,
He sought out adventures, whenever they called,
And the name of this knight was Sir Archibald.

Whilst out riding his horse, a steed of great power,
He saw in the distance a creepy old tower,
At the top of this tower lived a pretty young maid,
Who was cold and was lonely and longed to be saved.

“Oh Sir Archibald, won’t you please rescue me?
I’m stuck in this tower and there’s nowt on TV.
I’m forced to stay in here, and wash all these socks,
While the evil Black Knight holds the keys to the locks.”

Sir Archibald loved the maiden so fair,
With her glittering eyes and her long golden hair.
“Of course I will save you!” was the knight’s brave reply,
“Or at least I shall give it a jolly good try!”

Sir Archie rode onwards, as fast as he could,
Until he came to the edge of the wood,
And there stood before him a terrible sight,
The tall, strong and mighty, the evil Black Knight.

The Black Knight was massive, someone to be feared,
With a scar on his face and a huge tatty beard,
Our villain’s description is only complete,
When we mention his dark eyes and big smelly feet.

“What do you want?!” called he with the big booming voice,
Of a man you’d avoid if were given the choice,
“You’ve got a young girl there, who you must set free.
Let her go now, or else answer to me!”

Warts and all

There was once a woman
who lived on Sheffield's London road
with greasy unwashed hair
black crooked teeth
and huge wart on the end of her nose.

Her eyes were wild and staring
she had rickets and fleas
had hairy legs and knobbly knees
She stank like a million skunks
she hadn't a bath for 12 years and a month.

Her name is Vera Cooper
She could drink any man under the table
and swore like a trooper.

She once won a beauty contest
when she fell into a ugly bugs nest
she had a tattoo of a sewer rat on one breast.

People would run away
whenever she was in town
but the flies would follow her around.

But you know what?
She had a great personality
was so kind and caring
and gave lots to charity.

We fell in love and raised a family
we're very happy together
and so in love
and go together
like a hand in a glove
She's my angel.

''Well they do say it's personality that counts don't they?.''

Listen To Me- Never Mind What I Say

 Get out of my space.
 Don't walk away.
 Listen to me.
 Never mind what I say.
 I need you close.
 Leave me alone.
 Get out of my life.
 Please come home.
 You can go now.
 I miss you so much.
 I feel smothered.
 I crave your touch.
 Don't ever leave me.
 I've got to go.
 Yes, my dear,
 the answer is no.
 Get out of my space.
 Don't walk away.
 Listen to me.
 Never mind what I say.

Upside down scratching my head

Fact of every day life, is in all one thought process
everything you hear, is about wars killing
spending multi-millions on weaponary
to then create suffering little children
Crying poor, in their mothers and fathers arms
thrown to the wolves, they who are defenceless
meek and humble innocent people cry in our shame

Rather than spend a lot less money on helping
we as people should unite showing one world vow
To gather under the banner all hearts and souls
in one with love rather than the faces of greed
and hate tearing this planets resources asunder
Not sharing in our planets wealth god given unto us
an abundance of beauty the world is tainted
At our conception, birth with us, we who have
it all in the world at your fingertips, same right
By god's given decree birth to share and love
everything on our planet now that includes
our televisions, sweet nothing but pumping
deadly poison like dark clouds drawing one sided
entering into people minds when they are at peace

13 syllable unlucky 11 syllables standing on two legs what i believe is right 12 syllables searching truth heavenly love answers, end 13 count how long will it be before time runs out lucky or unlucky smiling peace

Valentine Vegetables

Vegetables are so versatile I use them every day
Such lovely shapes and colours, they are so bright and gay
I always use them in my cooking
Or eat then raw when no one is looking

What is there not to love about the humble carrot?
I peel it tenderly, chop it up and feed it to my parrot
Broccoli it always gets my pulse racing
When it’s steaming in the pan, round my kitchen I am pacing

Potatoes are so wonderful in every shape and style
Boiled, baked, mashed and roast, so totally versatile
I’ve just discovered butternut squash and make a tasty soup
I bake it first and boil it, its taste makes me cheer and whoop

Mushrooms are my favourites I would eat them all the time
Sauted, raw or stuffed with cheese they really are divine
Tomatoes are so colourful and full of lycopene
Its hidden away inside them and it is never seen

Brussel sprouts you either love or hate
But no Christmas dinner is complete without them on your plate
Parsips and turnips are not my favourite food
I will eat them occasionally, when I am in the mood

My love of veg will never fade
I buy organic that have never been sprayed
Vegetables really are so good for us
My family eat them without any fuss

The humble pea is the love of our life
If they are not on the plate I’d not be a good wife
Swede and carrots mashed together
I eat it with ground black pepper
My ode to veg I think is fine
I want them to be my Valentine
They help to keep us strong and healthy
With veg in our lives we are truly wealthy

Gum And A Mint From Your Pocket

The thought of meeting the love of your life Can cause you to lose your cool Stumbling over words and fidgeting about Just like a boy out of school It's a common reaction, it happens all over We're all just following the rules That surely were laid down many years ago But it's still not kosher to drool You open her door and bash her poor head Embarrassed, you apologize profusely You offer her gum and a mint from your pocket And tell her she's a sweet li'l floozie She looks at you strangely for that response You barrel forth not blinking an eye Just wanting to impress this gorgeous young lady It gets worse the more that you try In spite of the blunders and embarrassing stuff Somehow she thinks it's all cute The more you stumble and trip on your words She loves you, you big galoot To cut it short, she's my gorgeous bride Although many long years have now passed A lot of water's flowed under the bridge But she's still got a fabulous ass!!! © Jack Ellison 2015

Cracked Ribs and You

My shower last Saturday
Brought throbbing pain to my day
The soap made me slip
Got bruised on my hip
My ribs might be cracked they say

It hurts when I breathe or sneeze
Or if you give me a squeeze
The good times are gone
And so is the fun
My life’s no longer a breeze

The pain is constantly there
Even when I comb my hair
Hygiene’s getting tough
So is “other” stuff
I’ve become a hairy bear

I wince with the jabbing pain
It’s sure to drive me insane
I can’t sit or stand
Need a helping hand
My bathroom trips are a drain!

My ribs reminds me of you
For no matter what I do
Your smile pokes me here
Your touch jabs me there
But your pain’s sweet.... through and through

Prolific, I guess that' me

Prolific, I guess that’s me

I read a poem by ilene Baur
Prolific, she called it
I saw myself right in those words
And it made me smile a bit
Then I asked myself this question
Why do I write so much?
Each time a subject comes along
My busy mind to touch….

Then I just grab a pencil
And a poem is written down
I guess it’s my addiction
I just hope that folk don’t frown
And say ‘Oh no! Not him again
Each time they see my stuff
I guess if I was in their shoes
I’d say “hey that’s enough!!!”

So bear with me good people
And If I cause you grief
By writing all these empty words
Then you may gain relief
By passing everything I write
Not reading it at all
And yet I hope this is not so
When you comment, it’s real cool.

Godzilla Dreams

Godzilla Dreams

My little dragon is growing up. I do believe he’s just had his first crush.
In his cave with a sign ‘To Enter, Beware’, are Godzilla posters everywhere.
And he talks about her non-stop, all day long, Godzilla this, and Godzilla that.
This morning he mentioned contacting her so…Yes, he wants to bring her home.

Now, this did not make me a happy song, Dragon and Godzilla, together in my yard!
I sat him down to explain, his precious hopes, were only pipe dreams, in any regard.
The only communicating, he had done, is talking to TV screens and horror shows.
The Godzilla he saw, and the Godzilla he’d find… might be two very different kinds.

Like with any kid, this did not go off well, for he packed his bag and flew to Tokyo.
Yep, as you guessed she’s a treasure there… and a great big whooping movie star.
Every time he tried to talk… she blew him off, so as not to disturb, her next photo op.
But suddenly she became very interested in him; he’d be the new bad guy in a film.

She trounced him left, and she trounced him right, but never did he get a talking line.
She pushed him here, and she pushed him there, till he fell hard hurting, everywhere.
The buildings he landed on had sharp edges, till cuts and bruises were his final fate.
Then payment was a single kiss, lack luster at best, yep, a really fake movie star kiss.

As promotional time came around, again, he was pushed away, from every newsman.
Now our dragon is very self-centered you know, so with tears in eyes, he came home.
For days he moped around the house, as we all took turns… trying to cheer him up.
I got him his own photo layout in a magazine, the talk show circuit ruled supreme.

His heart was broken, but he’s a spirited thing, with lessons learned, important things.
What we dream, and what we think, we want, are not always the reality given to us.
He was just glad, to finally be home, and to leave the movies and Godzilla far behind.
He may not be the kindest thing, but he’s loved by all, and here the kisses aren’t fake.

Here, his faults will be tolerated as he grows up, yes HERE, he’s family, to one and all…
He’s back to the dragon, I did know, as we sit at the lake, in time out… What else?

play their part in having me nauseous
passion a project for the masses
roses in package, romance the passage
red, white and pink, fed right in the link
bed time in sync, just what you think
that one day out of three sixty five
your partner should get recognized
consumption used to fortify
love thatll last the rest of our lives
trickier than lovers that are porcupines
a sort of lie, could put a hole in your heart
bigger than a quarters size
beyond the balloons, heart strings in the loom
the only thoughts i consume,
is i need a sun with my moon

The Odd Couple

There once lived a rat.
His name was Pat.
Pat was no ordinary rat for he was in love with a cat!
Now the cat name was Co.
Her fur was as white as snow and her eyes were like two pieces of gold.
Wherever she went Pat was sure to go.
But Co was unaware of Pat the rat until one day...

On this day it rained and rained and poured and poured and poured until the clouds dried out and could not put out anymore.
But in the storm Co fell into a river cold, wet and half drowned she moved just a quiver.
Pat gave a shiver from the water on his back and went to see if he could find his beloved cat.
He looked and looked but he could not find.
Where was she?
Without her he would surely lose his mind.
He'd better find her quick cause she was running out of time.
Just as he was about to give up hope he crossed over a slope and then saw the river.
What he saw next made his heart quiver.
Down by the river was the body of Co his beloved cat that his heart loved so.

"No!" No! she can't be dead!" he said running to her and gently raising her head.
She moved a bit and his heart did a flip.
"Oh joy she is alive, I must get her warm and dry!"
So a fire he made and fish he caught saving her life was his only thought.
She soon recovered and looked around fresh fish was all over the ground.

"Now who has done this for me?" she thought
Pat was watching her from behind a tree and now showed himself.
"It was I" he said looking quite shy
"A rat saved me!?" Co cried "But why?" "Rats hate cats"
"But not I, because I love you Co" Pat said tenderly
"You really love me?...." "Then I love you too"
And off they went on their honey moon.
The had 20 kids and moved to Purau.

So now you have heard the story and I swear it's true, about a rat who fell in love with a cat and that is that.

Four-Eyed Charmer

I wear a white buttoned shirt
And my friends call me four eyes
But I don't care, just slowly walk away
And give 'em my gang sign

Don't bother with my appearance
Cause I'm the king of the chess team
Most guys got brons, when it comes to logic
I can win before you take a seat

And I'm a four-eyed charmer
But a real straight A lover
What girl wouldn't want to fall all over me
Hold my bag on the boat when I'm sick at sea
I'll give this life a mighty heave
Confidence you wouldn't believe
What girl wouldn't want to fall all over me
Give me oxygen when I forget to breathe

Some guys got British accents
To impress any American gal
I speak elvish and clenon
They got their mansion royale

Some guys eat snails a la mode
And only settle for the finest wine
I can foresee myself in Paris
Throwing tomatoes at the mimes

A true heart you'll discover
Under this four-eyed charmer
What girl wouldn't want to fall all over me
Hold my bag on the boat when I'm sick at sea
And I'm taking a leap of faith
That could either destroy or save
What girl wouldn't want to fall all over me
Give me oxygen when I forget to breathe

Now I finally got someone
A lovely gal to cheer me on
When I play videogames
All night to the crack of dawn

Now I finally got someone
Who loves to rub aloe when
I get a burning lobster tan
On my mayonnaise skin

Now I finally got someone
That thinks my wondering eye
Is actually kinda cute
At least now I'm not so shy

I am the geek with four eyes
A noble prince in disguise
With a girl who courageously fell for me
As the Titanic sinks I'll be your Lenny
And I bet it all on a whim
Now I'm the one with everything
With a girl who courageously fell for me
Her smile augmented, when I stood on one knee

Never Take Hate Outside

When you're hurt inside,
And there's no where to hide,
And there's no one on your side,
And it's killing your pride,
Never take hate outside,

When your heart is chocking,
The heavy words never spoken,
The things that hurt you inside,
When love has died,
Never take hate outside,

When your heart is gone,
From being alone,
And it beats a solemn tone,

When you're cold inside,
It's only a short ride,
Never take hate outside

Yet another lover

When yet another lover flees my cat sized bed
and leaves me wild and comely in the night
I wonder if it's unknown words I've read
Or is it that my eyes have taken flight?

I tempt the sin with all my female parts.
They feel I'm like a spider with a bat,
to cure ,devour, digest my ghoulish pests,
They think they should be learning on the sat.

But some who mind me feel they have been robbed.
I give them all detention,I'm a liar.
I give them generous fare and sing sheeps' songs.
I give them comfort like a hellish fire

Oh,come back ,bad boy ,don't desert me yet,
The clothes I thrashed for you are not quite set.

Lucky Charm

I have never been lucky enough
to come upon a four leaf clover....
maybe they only grow in Ireland.

Find a penny, pick it up,
and all day you will have good luck...
my fortune didn't improve by much.

I could carry a rabbit's foot
around with me in my pocket....
I guess that rabbit wasn't so lucky, though.

Every time I find a ladybug
and try to capture it in a jar....
it just flies away from me.

I could pry a horseshoe
from a pony's hoof....
which is harder than you think.

But, I think I would rather have you
as my lucky charm,
you are as rare as a four leaf clover,
you are worth a lot more than a penny,
you are as gentle as a rabbit's foot or a ladybug,
and you are luckier than a horseshoe,
because you were much easier to find.

The Aborigine Boy

The aborigine boy, his poor young heart was yearning
For the young raven haired girl, a passion was quickly burning
He was to carve his first boomerang to prove he was a man
If it returned back to him, he would carry out his plan.

He took the mulga branch and checked it was just so
The angle was correct, he couldn’t wait for his first throw
He split the branch and picked the piece that he knew would work
He had learnt from his ancestors, his walkabouts he never did shirk.

The branch he split, he took a stone and carved his mulga with care
He wanted it to fly and return, then win his maiden with raven hair
He inscribed it with his love and painted it with ochre of red
He took it to the outback and threw his first throw with a dread.

The boomerang did spin, it twisted and then dropped
The young aborigine felt his love and life, had suddenly stopped
He tried again he flicked his wrist it spun up heavenward
It spun it’s last spin and once again it was then floored.

His love was slipping away, a man he was not to be
His raven haired love, his bursting heart would never see
He tried and tried and then with a long last flick of his wrist
He had learnt the way he saw; he pounded the air with his fist.

His boomerang started to turn; it started on its first return
He danced as he watched it, and he felt his loins begin to burn
He jumped up and down waiting; he saw a glint of red
He knew he had done it, when it smacked him in the head

He had learnt to make his weapon
But his plan did not quite hatch
In learning to make the boomerang,
He forgot to learn how it to catch…

we can't date if

I see you standing at the bar and I like you
Such a sexy body I could one night you
But it takes a lot more than looks for me to wife you
But we can’t date if the number of men you’ve slept with is higher than your IQ

I don’t mind if we speak every night
Don’t mind telling you how I feel deep inside
As long as you let me keep my pride
But we can’t date if you’re uploading half-naked pics for retweets and likes

Give me your all and you will get it back
You will get it returned with interest
Have no issue with treating you like a princess
But we can’t date if you can’t accept my past

Girl I don’t mind you being a diva
But we can’t date if you disturb me when I play FIFA
We can’t date if you use a knife and fork to eat pizza
Most importantly we can’t date if you try & make me listen to Justin Bieber

Why make me choose? I like feisty brunettes and tall blondes
I’ll pick you up where you fall from
And be there when you need someone to call on
But we can’t date if you talk when the football’s on

I am not staring

No darling, I am not staring at her curvy hips
Trust me, I am not looking at her luscious lips
No, I am not beckoned by her big brown breasts
Neither am I lusting for her perfect long legs

Her sleeveless, bare-back blouse is nothing
Just like her six foot frame that’s fit for modeling
I didn’t even notice the short skirt she is wearing
Not even her cleavage, shiny bracelet or earring

Who cares if she has spotless, silky-smooth skin
Or that she has a pointed, picture-perfect chin
Baby you better believe me because it is true
You thought I was staring but I was thinking of you

On the Bench

On the bench and eating lunch
I came across this little hunch
I wonder if she'll come on by
I wonder if she'll come say hi

Now everyday she takes a jog
While I sit and eat just like a hog
Corned beef on rye bought from the deli
My breath, oh no, its very smelly

Oh look at her he's just on time
Gracefully jogging, that's no crime
Racing to my bench so deftly
Seeing her she looks so sweaty

Sitting down she says"May I?"
I offered her my piece of pie
"No thanks" said she "I watch my weight"
Would she, I hope, go on a date?

"You're not my type, I'm vegan, see
When I see meat I go queasy
My rest is done I must be off"
No date tonight the news was tough

So now alone on my park bench
Some juice i have, my thirst to quench
What once a dream of love to be
Is now again lost fantasy

So should I change and be vegan
And work to be a new he-man
And then a woman comes so near
Smiling and saying "Can I sit here?"

Think I will just wait and see
What becomes of this new fantasy

The Mum

The first to wake
Another day
Another show
Boom boom, shake shake
Sleepy yawns
Wakey wake

Supermarket run
I used to find them so much fun
Until she decided to scream and shout
Bring it on girl
Loud and all out
I’ll just go and hide on my cloud

Ready steady bake
Last to eat the cake
“Have you had some Mum?”
No darling, you take

Mechanical moves
Automated mind
I don’t mind
I’d like for you to shed me
Some kind
Spend some time
To simply find
It’s healthy at times to be blind

I push, I pull
Kids to school
I wish I were just
Horizontal in a pool

I could just walk out
“No mum that’s not cool”
Would I be such a fool?
But I’m the queen you know
I make the rules

The irritating whining song
A bell at the door
I really need a manicure; it’s been so long
Door again
Ting tong
“What took you so long?”
I’m sorry
I was busy window-shopping in Hong Kong

“Where’s my glove mum?”
Deep breathes, play dumb
“Where’s my recorder mum?”
One, two, three
Numb numb
“Sweetheart bring me the remote”
Here darling, stick it up your bum

The first to wake
The first to leave home
I want to be first in bed some days
To sit around and just laze
I need a haircut, some highlights
“Are you listening mum?”

Bubble Trouble

Bubble Trouble

Smiling as I look at you
learning things not taught in school.
As you sit in your bubble bath
with me parked on the stool.

Water like a new raindrop
slipping slowly down your breast.
A silent prayer to heaven
don't let this be a test!

Lights already all turned off
candles are aglow.
If up to me to save the world
I'm sorry I can't go.

I know the worlds important
and I'll get it all on track.
I gotta stay a little longer
in case you let me wash your back.

Thinking I should be ashamed
tortured by your sighs.
Then comes what I've been waiting for
that love light in your eyes.

I softly touch your body
something whispers what the heck.
I dropped the soap just like I hoped
and laid kisses on your neck.

As long as we've been married
I doubt that it's a sin.
Our clothes in one big pile
look out I'm coming in!

love affair

The Love Affair
The road that leads to a smallish agricultural flatland has
two walls. One wall was built by a slob, just throwing
one stone on top of another.

The other wall was built by a craftsman where stones
fitted and he had used decorative and white painted
 cement between them.

Every Sunday the meticulous man walks to his wall
and find great satisfaction to see his work again and
wishes the slob would rebuild his wall.

Every Sunday the layabout goes for a walk to,
first to the bar for a few beers with his mates; he walks
to the good man’s house and have sex with his wife.

What's In A Smile : Beauty

He captured her charm Serenity and intelligence image Frequent glances From the canvas then back to her face Asking her not to smile Was like asking her not to breathe. Patience isn’t her best trait ^ What’s in a smile? Beauty And everything! Real Cold Coffee

Heard that love makes the world go round With the ladies that may be true But us macho dudes play a different tune The wee guy downstairs is our cue To beg and plead for a romp in the hay We act kinda silly and mushy Pretending a love song is in our hearts But our tail light is making us gushy Let's call the proverbial spade a spade That wee guy controls us each day So perky each morning and raring to go Can't promise a lot of foreplay We beg and plead, promise the moon Diamonds and treasures untold For just a few moments of heavenly bliss Must hurry the coffee's gettin' cold She's heard this ploy for many long years Take it slow she tells me each time Have developed a liking for real cold coffee Guess I really can't say that I mind! © Jack Ellison 2013

Intelligent love

My girlfriend telling me
That my love talk is useless
So I throw away all the love poems
I write for her while feeling depress

That same day it start snowing
The place was cold as ice
She calling next to her
So she on the sofa looking very nice

Now she feeling cold
She said come here honey
I said bee sucks honey from flowers
And flowers can give allergy

She looks at me like I crazy
What the hell you talking bout
I said hell is a place for bad people
And they you can never come out

I use to tell her I love you
With my words and poem
Then she says my words are stupid
So now I would not repeat them

She said my conversations
Of love are meaningless
And now I don’t show my love again
She said I’m cold and heart less

I don’t have education or degree
All I have is the facts of lie
To make a happy home and be faithful
And always love my beautiful wife

But she talks to some of her friends
About some divine way to see eternity
Like if any that will help me
To pay my bills and care for my family

Now I read a lot of books
Because I never when to school
So now when she talks to me
I will no longer look like a fool

Now she feeling romantic
She says tell me you love me
I said there is love for pets, for friends and family
So can you put in a specific category?

She laughs and says you made your point
Now I completely understand
But I was looking to find the meaning
With a dictionary in my hand

I just want to be prepared
To learn as much information
So next time she with her friends
I could join in their intelligent conversation

SPRING IN AIR, LOVE ONLINE 20/02/13

Nowadays , life is so unpalatable and stoic.
So unnecessarily busy and eventfully hectic.
Young folks thus gather in a shadowy discotheque, to kill,
The retreating winter shedding its last chill.
The chirps of the departing migratory,
With massacred green in a concrete urban factory,
Welcomes the spring breeze, and the cuckoo melody tune,
That too so rare,
For a short term vacation, in a vanity fair.
Some emotional fools and roaming vagabond,
Can feel the spring air and reminiscences their fond,
And cry for the past and the long lost love bonds.
Beside them no one dares to mingle,
Their soul with the colour of butterfly twinkle.
No one cares to see the young green boughs,
Dancing in a frolic of crispy air that jingle.
All is there, in the air, except love my dear,
‘Cause love is now confined,
In another little world so secure.
Where there’s no hasty rushing,
No meaningless blushing,
No hassled waiting, no worrying restriction.
Love is just a ready-made parcel,
At a press of a small button.
Love messages, e mails , tweets, face books ,web cyberspace and profile update,
Takes all the bothering responsibility, does all the necessary tete-a-tete.
No need for time taking arguments,
No need for extra commitments.
Sometimes, meetings could be arranged, but
Oh! Never in public park or in a hopeless garden.
It could be in a shopping mall or a cool coffee den.
The gorgeous and the grotty,
All gather at a V-day party.
Those who are privileged,
Share their love with diamonds and wine.
But for others, not a single grape,
Is sour in a vine.
Everything is taken for granted,
Just simple and fine.
‘Cause love can also be shared,
Simply free of cost on line.

Just Because I Said, I Do

Just because I said, I do
Does not mean I will
Pick up all my messes
Wipe up every spill

You know that I'm a slob
But just what can I do
I hope you know I do my best
Trying to please you

And just because I said, I do
Doesn't mean I won't
Say that you snore too loud
Even though you don't

I know it's just the wind
Blowing hard outside
Maybe it's a train
On clacking tracks it rides

So just because I said, I do
Does not mean I can't
Point out all your issues
And listen to you rant

Sometimes you descend on me
Like an eagle from the sky
Striking at my failures
The wounds still make me cry

I think just because I said, I do
You think that I always should
Do everything you ask of me
Because it's for my good

My love this does not work for me
And life's a long, long road
So please do me a favor
And lighten up the load

You think just because I said, I do
You own my very life
I say I'll share with you
And keep you as my wife

I'm not sure you like the deal
Your face is hard to read
And just because you said, I do
You soon must concede

I know just because I said, I do
That we will never part
And that is just fine with me
Because you have all my heart

I'll try my best for you
Of this have no doubt
But when I do screw up
Please don't scream or pout

Just because I said, I do
I'll say one last thing
Forget all I said before
I 'm glad you wear my ring

Love Hurts - The Symptoms

Thoughts displaced by rolling palpitations,
From left to right grow these numbing sensations,
A face which spirals down, drooping from smile to frown.

Time hibernates in this moment protracted,
Legs bow and shake to our drama just acted,
Senses into overdrive, does pain show you’re still alive?

Oxygen masks, Coxes’ rowing commands,
Heart beat machines is what love demands,
“You need time to relax”, prescriptions from Quacks,
Is love just a commonplace heart attack?

'Araby' revised

Setting: a cafe, chamonix, in hand a tea.
Across- a woman, seated, not seeing me.

Embarrassed I am,
that I, a questionable I,
like a lamb: 97 and 1 kilogram,
am engulfed by her,
like Noah by heavanly mer.

Can I help it?- No!
That this Helen
this doe
or maybe Annabel of Poe
has transfixed me so

For she, unbeknowest to anyone but me,
has -- like a jockey to horse--
narrowed my vision, my every decision.

My goals, my independent roles,
are all now but foes
to that of this woman,
to that of this Syren;
A homeric vision calling my name,
my thoughts [set completely in frame].

For she is Femme French,
whose lip, whose tongue, whose
unequaled gaze,
melts hearts, muffles minds, and
spirits sets a daze;

She is a picture Romaine-
a poetic refrain-
a Cloud Loraine-
Tout l'univers(se), turning perverse-
all those once sane.

And when you, pardon- she
speaks; «please, more tea»
she, unknowingly, speaks to me,
wow, she trully speaks to me.

Votre langue francais,
what can I say.
We in the west, at our best
butcher and hack at our speach,
yet you- lyrically spue- a harmonious
a ventricular breech....

Our « (c)(h)(o)(c)(o)(l)(a)(t)(e), »
americanized, anglasized,
Is not as sweet as your---
« chocolat »--- taste that
tis better, the way you pronounce every letter
as in decrouver, or illuminer.

To think, that this, your verbal kiss,
turns me so amiss.

But lets ((focus))- back to the Now,
sitting in chair, starring at her hair-
tied back, pulled back, let's get abstract:
lips parted, bangs parted.
Her cheeks lifted- my heart uplifted.
Facial confusion!
Her eyes whisper, « mister, »
maybe sinister?
Who knows, maybeee... the nose!
Striking a pose-
Running, twitching, creating true woes-
in a heart that weeps, reeps, but rarely sows.

Now you can see what she does to me.
my mind is adrift, but who cares- What a Gift!
To be lost in her presence- a humble
peasant- in the present is a present.

So- I'm sitting in a chair,
staring, glaring, intimately at her,
seeking, searching, for our eyes to
meet, to greet, in lustful heat,
for her to return my gaze
and to be lost in that haze till the
end of my days....

But wait.... What is this.
Something is amiss.
A realization, a boner?
OH GOD....
I have a boner...
shit. I'm just another creepy loner.

Can money buy love 2

Value people they worth more than money
Money is worth spending as people are worth loving
People are the currency you need to get what you desire
People will make you know people that will give you the money
People will provide the avenue you will make the money
Through employment, business contracts and projects

Value people without their money
Value people with your money
Value people they are worth more than money
Value people they are the asset you possess
Value people since they are the clothes we wear

People are those you need to make the money you want
People are those you need to build your reality
People are those you need to believe in your ability
People are those you need to invest in your creativity
People are those you need to influence your personality

People are those you need to make you a celebrity
People are those you need to inspire your originality
Be loyal to people than your money
Build a network of people and your money will serve you
Spend people wisely and invest in people prudently
Since money is worthless without people and
People are senseless without love

Value People more than money
Since those who have people possess the money
Since those you know, know those who know where the money is
People are those who crack your ribs with their humorous laughter
People are those who irritate you and make you annoy others
People are those who make you like or dislike marriage relationship
People are those you spend your time with and your money on
People are those who share with you in your down times and up times
People are those who you share your emotions and intentions with

What is the essence of your money
Without people to spend it with
What is the essence of your money
Without people to share their love with you
What is the essence of your money
Without people to identify with you

People are worth cherishing without prejudice
People are lovely to be with and painful to live with
People are beautiful to smile with and sorrowful to depart from
People are enjoyable to let-go and horrible to stay-with
People are precious and pious… people are gorgeous and glorious

People are saints…people are demons
People are angels sent by God and the devil’s advocate
People are the devil you know
People are the angel you don’t know
People are the demons masquerading as the angel of light
So love people and respect people
Since your money is worthless without them around you
To celebrate with you and mourn with you

The fairer sex
How fair they aren't
When courting is in question
The fairer sex
How good they are
At beguiling and deception

Yet so in depth
Their traps prepared
Beauty - a treacherous invention
I think I know
Their ins and outs
Still this is no protection

From evil spells
For wedding bells
Will cloud your best perception
And in a trice
Your gagged and bound
In an altarly direction

Illegitimi non Carborundum

Illegitimi non carborundum ;-)

...Staggering, my vision cloudy,

I fall to the hard ground.

when life’s sharp left-jab leaves my face bloody,

and all that surrounds me, is the desolation of loss I feel all around.

I see myself slipping,

down the abyss to where nothingness exists,

still, I cling on, groping for a foothold,

for my will to stay persists.

I clamber up, I stand my ground, though battered and bruised I may be,

my curtain is not falling yet, I have some fight still left in me.

It is then, in the pit of despair, when all seems bleak and painful and dull,

I summon the strength from deep within,

I rise, slowly, to face the day,

I refuse to sink,

to wallow, to surrender, to throw in the towel,

to drown,

for I am stronger now,

indeed I am, after all the years, and all the battles,

I stand, bruised and bloody,

I stand,

I refuse, to sink, to drown,

for they can try, to punish me some more,

but I shall not allow them to grind me down…

A bit of love and humor:What the cat saw

Oh,Stan is feeling happy.
His wife has gone away.
She’s gone out to Australia
She won’t be home till May.

Oh,Stan has got a mistress,
She lives next door to him.
She is very curvy.
She won’t go to the gym!

Her first name it is Sukie
She loves Stan and his cat.
She wears far too much makeup.
Her cheeks are very fat.

She wears bright coloured stockings.
Her handbag’s apple green.
She wears a dark red jacket,
In case she meets the Queen.

Stan loves Sukie dearly.
He loves his wife as well.
What will be the outcome?
I’m damned if I can tell.

They’ve been in this threesome
For twenty seven years;
Even though Stan’s mother
Said it would end in tears.

Mary is Stan’s wife
They only had one child.
Her name is little Lyra.
and she is very wild.

She looks quite like a tiger
Her eyes are very sharp.
But Lyra’s a musician.
She plays an Irish harp.

Stan wanted more children
But Mary went off sex.
She never let him love her
Except via a text.

She called him her sweet baby.
She called him “little lamb”.
Stan gets very angry.
For Stanley is a man.

He wants to join with Mary
Like couples usually do.
He wants to unite with her
But she always has the flu.

Now she’s giving lectures
In the southern hemisphere.
So Stan makes love to Sukie
And swigs ten pints of beer.

The cat Emile is watching.
He keeps a daily log.
Stan has bedded Sukie
Right there on the rug.

He’d vacuumed it that morning
To Emile’s great surprise.
The antics they performed on it
Have opened Emile’s eyes.

Now they’re in the kitchen
To microwave a meal.
Then Stan says to Sukie
“I like the way you feel. “

The Sweet Ladies Of P-Soup

All the ladies of Poetry Soup Have me wrapped around their fingers Pulling me along by my big proboscis As their lady smell doth linger That scent that drives us male dudes wild You guys know of what I speak Not stuff you can buy in a beauty salon That oh so feminine mystique It's really damn difficult to turn it off The reason we act like buffoons We succumb and act so silly and stuff Often we even bay at the moon Like a bunch of silly young teenage dudes We stammer when trying to speak Our faces turn red, we bump into things Sometimes letting out little shrieks There is a cure, it's called commitment How dare I suggest such a thing There's just got to be a much simpler way Perhaps a one night ring-a-ding-ding All the ladies of Poetry Soup Have me wrapped around their fingers Pulling me along by my big proboscis As their lady smell doth linger © Jack Ellison 2014

Poem for Mama

I wanted to write a song for my mother
Then I thought Boyz 2 Men’s "Song for mama”
	So discouraged I got
As confused as I was
I then decided to write a letter for my mother
Just when I wrote ‘Dear Mother’
Tu Pac's Dear Mama came into mind
There my Lord, wasted paper and ink!!!!

I then asked my Zulu friend help write a Zulu song
We thought of going the line Mama Wami
Again Deborah Frasers’ Mama Wami came in mind
Not only once, but she did it again as
Britney Spears by singing Mzali Wami
I never got angry at her, but disappointed in myself.

I wanted to write a song that expresses the joy
That my mom goes through when she sees me
My Zulu friend had something like ‘u mama u ya jabula’ in mind
Bother not say it loud, I said
For Bra Hugh wrote the same words
Tho my friend tried, but was not enough

I decided to apologize to mama
For I couldn’t write her nothing
I took a pen and paper and wrote
	'Mama I am sorry'
With just four words,
Brenda Fassies’ Mama I am sorry came in mind
For I can’t write what our eminent legend wrote
Not only did she apologize to mama
She also said it was too late for mama
Ohh Sis Mabbrr, sure your legacy lives on

Still as I am struggling to find words for my mom
I got so fired up inside
As boiling as I was
I somehow managed to calm myself down
Just the way Jesus calmed the sea

As creative as I wanted to be
There was no much for me
For much words has been used
	Only the good ones rather
I then decided to write a Poem for Mama
Ssshhh listen to this.....

whispers of Love

The Whisper of Love
The mild spring wind whispered: I love you and stroked
my face… but then it clouded over the wind hoarsely
shouted: I love you. I fled indoors but it howled nonstop
by the French window: I love you, and I held my hands
against ears as not hear.

Angrily I hollered back: go away I never cared for you,
your obsessive love is too much to bear, strangling me.
But I tell not truth, sweet Marilyn, I love you more now
than before; the wind became a mild zephyr and said:
I know, I know my darling.

The almond tree said: I thought it was me you loved,
my flowers you admire. But you are deflowered now.
I said. This is the rudest thing I ever heard said the oak
and shook it crown so sadly that a crow family fell out.
and cawed crossly at me.

Don´t you get I said I love you all you´re nature the air
that I breathe the food I eat and the grass I walk on.
But the olive tree spoilt my words by pretentiously
saying: one, who loves all, loves no one, and eastward
the crow family flew.

Let Me Be Your Bass Guitar

You brush across my heartstrings
Vibrates them like a bass guitar
You're the player
So am I the bass?
Let me be your bass guitar..

Arpeggios flow
We know the solos so..
This sparkling light alights our deeper sea
The stilled moon bathes as our rolling waves entwine
Where Love slips Time, eternally..

Let me be your bass guitar
Hearts duetting fingertips
Embrace the one plus one as One
The sum, the sound of Aum..

Let me be your bass guitar
Ripple your notes celestial
Space amplifies drunk by the sipping Star
The ocean seashells echo..

Blast-Off and True Love

Written from a male's perspective

Love, when she smiles at me
She rides my rocket to space
And takes me out of this world
Stardust in her hair.

Written from a female's perspective

On your white horse you save me
Romantic tongue, sweet kisses
Into the sunset we go
Riding all night long.

The many Faces of You

Your eyes maybe small and deep set
But so piercing are their look
They maybe dark as the deep sea
But their shine and sincerity are my hook.

Your face is open like the sky
On which a canvas has been animated
It denounces a soul so alive
A mind so wide, a spirit so liberated.

Your look opens up a view
Of a will connected to the divine
Strong, unwavering around the truth
Beheld by a heart warm like the sunshine.

The lines around your face
Denote a life devoted to all
Sometimes rising in humorous waves
Either in amazement or having a ball.

Other times so very serious
with deep concerns, suffering
with those whose suffer, furious
At the evil forces that today cause such enmity.

Your face is like the book of life
A tapestry of many colors
That shows me what heaven is like
A portrait imprinted on my mind forever.

Office Goddess

She wafts chocolate truffle candyfloss scented skin,
Her fathomless eyes shimmer limpid pools I dreamily drown in.
Her complexion: olive cherry asses milk satin silken porcelain.
She's stratospeheric, serrates the class of Dietrich,
She sashays mesmeric,
She's with a bastard called Derek.

She's the hallowed office goddess mermaid angel siren vamp,
Her hair shivers waterfalling rivers,
Celestial beings bow, hold her lamp.
Her swishing swaying graces and amazes
the trolls, Clarkson's, loup-garous and gargoyles of the office floor,
Grown men awe-struck blinded weep,
Stick needles in their eyes, yet want more.
That's deep.
The rainbow is her staircase,
She rides the unicorn on the subway,
Golden fleece wash over her umbrella,
She's with a bastard called Derek.

Derek is in HR.
Two bling screens flash on his not-hotdesk.
Derek does my annual appraisal,
That's the Derek I hate the best.
So, moving forward, where do you see yourself a year from now?
What skills do you need upgrading?
What added value are you..blah blah and blah..
I stare into distant space,
Where she floats swirling above my fishtanked face.
My brain is an impoding toupee,
My brain is an imploding toupee..

This Eden of tumbleweed plastic plant patsies,
Dry-blown biscuit phlegm and other tea point nasties:
Stinking microwaved day-glo pasties,
Herbal tea used condoms,
Bubonic plague used hankies.

Phosphorescent Guantanamo curdling strip lights,
Oven-ready office-gossip gobshites.
Air conditioning redelegating flu,
There's another weeping corpse-to-be suicidal inside this loo:
The grim reaper's temping here, playing peak-a-boo,
Sounds good to me,
Let's join them too.

Another annual appraisal,
Another horse glue-sniffing this fetid bolted-in stable;
Another century in a day of years,
Three million unemployed: wish you were here?
Who left the photocopier jammed?
Hands up if it was one of us damned.
Who hasn't put money in the snack tin?
Who splattered their soul in the wrong recycling bin?
For this dog the office Christmas party isn't for Christmas, it's for life,
Derek has the office goddess,
And I'm left clutching this plastic knife.

The Third Wish

On a distant shore far away
I stumble on a bottle in the sand
Opened it up and free a genie
Three wishes I have at my command

I wished for fame and fortune
Living a life fit for the divine
But I hold on to that third wish
The wish you would be mine

What good is your sweet heart
If my love it does not feel
What good is your love
If by a wish it is not real

With gifts and offerings of love
I try each day to persuade
But my patience becomes impatient
For you turn each one away, away

The genie grows weary my time is thin
Soon my third wish will expire
On my knees I pour out my heart
But you just don't share the desire

Alone with the world at my feet
I have it all but remain unfulfilled
The longing for your love
Tempts the third wish to deal

Mr. Genie appears before me
He shakes his head and sighs
It is time to use the third wish
Ask it now to be realized

Wish one was for fame
The world you entertain
Wish two was for fortune
Treasures a hundred lifetimes can sustain

Wish three what will it be
The Third Wish you must decide
I closed my eyes and opened my heart
Am I too selfish to be denied

The world is in love with my smiling face
Fame and fortune is way too much fun
And now I have you forever by my side
Hey wishes aren't meant for the dumb

At a loss for Lego's

My words are like legos,
scattered all over the floor.
All colorful shapes and sizes
different combinations to explore.

I’m like a poor lego man,
With his head on backwards.
I remove my head and search it,
In desperation when I lack words.

Because my words are like legos
and sometimes they’re hard to find.
Missing pieces in the dark,
the little crevices of my mind.

My words are like messy legos,
like a castle that’s been broken.
Being rebuilt piece by piece,
With every word that’s spoken.
So I’ll gather all my legos,
and I’ll build a castle too!
I’ll use all my beautiful legos,
I would build it just for you.

But you came and stole my lego's,
You swooped them off the ground.
I tried to tell you my secret,
But I couldn’t make a sound.

Why did you take my legos?
That wasn’t part of the deal.
Please just give them back,
So I can tell you how I feel.

You Are Hard

You are hard, you are brash,
Your swagger is flash,
And when we touch base, your talk turns to cash.

You are loud, especially in a crowd,
But when your rowdy anger flies
Your friends are suitably cowed.

You are strong, but weak as well,
When someone's wrong you give them hell,
But when they're right you're even worse -
oh, how we love to hear you curse!

Hopes and hearts you broke before
lie littered by each bedroom door,
In their love-lost legions,
they nurse their dark sweet lesions.

You of ice, then of wild fire,
A self-confessed accomplished liar.
Yet still we dance attendance full,
on you - our heart's desire!

You will not leave a friend without,
But on that friend will scream and shout.
No stauncher ally can be found,
But to your life we must be bound.

Tough as diamond, soft as silk,
No deeper well of kindness' milk.
On we who dwell within your walls,
No shadow of oblivion falls!

A Vulpine Affair

The hillocks converged to form a hill,
up on that hill a house sat still,
Against the icy gales it stood resolute,
against odd weather it did refute,

Within that house resided a dame,
who once was betrothed to a thane,
She tho’ was in love with an Englishman,
before her wedding to the woods she ran,

As fast as a hare but no faster than a mare,
know ye that her noble feet,
Could not on such ragged floor fare,
and by a nearby stream settled in defeat,

The shallow, narrow stream shouldered by silt,
did ruin her costly gown of silk,
Being jaded she slept beneath a willow tree,
‘n dreamt of a tarnished camaraderie,

A dreadful dream t’was which woke her,
a slight regret on her half it did stir,
The sun did not wait upon her pondering;
with its light in hand it was fast retreating,

Soon darkness was to consume the land,
in desperation she prayed for a friend,
From behind the aged tree sprung a fox;
it offered help- which thought she was a wee hoax,

“Dear fox art thou fiddling with me,
for thy proffer seems too good an offer see,
For all I know you could be luring me into dinner,
to perhaps allay thy hunger?”

The fox clearly displeased by what it heard,
spoke its mind word by word,
“You’re clearly misled for thou hath misread,
my intentions hence I am a little mad,

Aye, thou would make an easy prey,
yet to thereafter risk being hunted by your type and hounds,
Come the yonder day,
ti’s not a price I’d want to pay for food in mounds,

So I pray thee before the night rings of the owl’s hoot,
to trust me for I say sooth,”
Bereft of choice with the night dawning,
she agreed to the fox’s offer with a tone; unbecoming,

She offed herself from the mudbank;
trailed the fox out of the woods and onto a field,
Where the helpless grass beneath her feet sank,
wisely it did yield,

Ere long they came across a shoddy path,
trod it they did which led them up a hill,
And to a house; battered at every front- its showing lath,
tells a grim tale of perseverance and fortunes ill,

Having seen her to safety the fox wished her well,
was about to leave before the lady begged of it to tell,
Why it had helped her to this abandoned home,
while all else would have left her to the vast unknown roam,

“M’lady I helped thee because I too am alone,
without a friend; without a home,
Unlike thee I can settle in any vacant burrow,
thou art tho’ too large for even its opening to swallow.”

Bruised Ego

I lusted after Deborah from my first day at school.
As did every other boy, her looks made them all drool.
On Valentines I sent a card despite my inhibition.
She responded with a churlish smile that set me on a mission,
I asked her for a date and she replied “well, that depends…
…in fact, on second thoughts, I’d rather we were Just Friends”

alone and quiet (The one)

all is quiet
no noise slithers through the air
no one but me is there.
later, I am surrounded by
a sea of people,
their voices swarm through
the humid rain-filled air
physically I'm crowded,
mentally I'm avoided and secluded,
the air is always quiet where i am and
where i choose to be,
i look around; no one is here but me.
until i find the one who plasters
a smile on my face
the one who makes me laugh
with his humorous grace,
he hums his written songs in my ear
i wont admit, but close to my
heart i hold him dear

not romeo and Juilet

Not Romeo and Juliet

Sea green, her eyes and long red hair
that shone like bronze towards twilight.
Her laughter, a peel of utter delight;
In my mind she was Irish.
She refused my adolescent passion
I was too young for her.
And I said: if you will not be my love
I will join the merchant navy.
It was winter, snow fell on the docks where
the ship was moored, but she was not
there to take farewell
We met again when we both were
middle aged, her eyes still green, but not
as verdant as the sea.
A melancholic smile, both married twice
and we knew about regrets.

Don't Open My Heart Till Christmas

Honey we had some hard times
Baby I mean some lean times
So sugar on this holiday all I can offer you
Is my heart packaged, wrapped and address to you

But Baby
Don't open my heart till Christmas
Don't love me tell then
Because I don't have anything to give you
Except all the love I have within

Now now baby I better go
No fair standing beneath the mistletoe
I can't kiss you now
But on Christmas Wow Oh Wow!

Santa Claus we won't need
To put presents under the tree
Because if we wait you'll see
Jingle jangle woo woo wee wee

Now I've been a good boy
I know you've been good too
So just wait till Christmas
And we can cross us off our wish list

So Sweetie
Don't open my heart till Christmas
Don't love me till then
Because I don't have anything to give you
Except all the love I have within

Oops that mistletoe
Santa will never know
Besides we always did presents on Christmas eve
Ho Ho Ho
Very Merry Christmas

What is it you do ,what do you write,
what words are there in your heart?
What thoughts are there in your mind?
Do feelings and the works that are eternal ,
come from the soul, the mind ,the heart..
Surely there was an inspiration,
to guide that hand as it penned a masterpiece.
If inspiration be of Love,
and that same Love cease to be.
If inspiration rides on the wings of loneliness,
and of a sudden there is happiness..
Will a strong heart write a humorous ditty,
as tears roll down their cheeks.
Thankyou friends who write while in turmoil,
post humor when saddened,
capture Love while alone.
Paint life that has yet to be lived.
Give all to the emotion of typing that next word,
for sharing a small piece of yourselves..........Jim

pg 13 psycho chick

this chick i met at the store one day trying to sell me a jar or raspberry jam.
She said i looked familar.I said she looked familiar to
Elementary school.Third grade.Mrs brown was are teacher.
This girl always sat alone during lunch and at reccess .
Never had i realized how pretty she was so i asked her out to lunch.
When she said yes then trouble started spewing.
She hasnt stopped cutting her meat and shes putting splenda in her sprite drink.
When she speaks shes telling me all the names of her exs in alphabetical order and how it was always them and never her.I seriously doubt this ecspecially when she askes if id like to have a threesome with her sister.
I dont know how this psycho chick got me on date two.Shes pretty and all but thats all shes got too.
Sex is ackward. She insist her dog be in the room. She laughs hysterically the whole time and sleeps through the rest.
On date three i let her go gently. She said shed never forgive me and that i was by far the worst ex she ever had.I thought thank goodness for that.
On friday she called me and said all was forgiven.I asked her how she got my number?she said your mother gave it to me.By the way her name is smidgen isnt it.
I told her it was over.My temper started rising.
she said she didnt mind as her fifth ex was taking her back.I said good luck with that.
Never saw her again but that psycho chick still talks to my mother who says i should have proposed.I tell my mom if only you knew what that psycho chick put me through.

Apple of my Eye

Quick find me an apple
And shove it in my eye;
I'm pathetic like facts under Snapple
Caps twist off as I cry,
My arms my legs
And anything you want
You took my heart and even kegs
Of rum cannot un-haunt
The void left behind;
Not even a huge pumpkin rind
Can plug this black hole,
Sucking whatever life is left
Withering fading from my soul,
With whom do I file a claim for this theft?
My mind is not in right now
Leave a message; I'll know
When I return if I can live
Without a smile to give
To those that care
Trust them I cannot dare,
But I won't just yet die
Because something still
Beats within my carcass;
For you lost apple of my eye
For you I will find the will
To amble out of this darkness...

An Aphrodisiac In My Cereal

Poems are just rolling out these days Maybe something's been added to my cereal Or maybe the water in my morning coffee It's definitely something unreal Love you say, could that be the reason? This feeling seems quite reminiscent It's been quite awhile but we never do forget This feeling of love so MAGNIFICENT Whatever the reason, whatever the cause Really hope it lingers for a while Like no other feeling, this passion divine Been wearing a perpetual smile Am I dreaming, gonna pinch myself hard Really seems too good to be true But I won't rock the boat, gonna let it all flow It's Heaven, between me and you Am I gushing too much, tell me WHOAA BACK Would try but there's no guarantee Maybe an aphrodisiac's been added to my cereal Something strange is happening to me © Jack Ellison 2013

Sucker For Love Songs

Before I admit I'm a sucker for love songs Be assured I'm a masculine man My sensitive side's a big hit with ladies Which I nurture as much as I can By the way ladies talk, our numbers are few Probably why I'm so appealing Believe me at times sure wish it weren't true And had more control of my feelings I weep at sad movies and stuff on TV I'm embarrassed to say that it's so To hide it I try but the tears in my eyes Are a sure sign I don't have control Okay I've accepted this man that I am It's probably much better like this To be thought of as a cruel and unfeeling guy Would certainly not be my wish Before I admit I'm a sucker for love songs Be assured I'm a masculine man My sensitive side has turned out to be a blessing It defines the man that I am © Jack Ellison 2013 My tongue is firmly planted in my cheek!

Pulling on his chain; ever snarling
A tug of war with, her tree as meat loaf
Became his dreams and gobble said the turkey
Unto her queen bee ? Blue bishops atop pogo sticks a fly
With one big eye siphoning the marrow from time's sparrow; slobbering
Their madman howls holy cow his orange cat meows wow, where has Alice gone.

On Pause

Glaring at a brilliant screen;
Awaiting, just awaiting -
Glancing over humorous things;
Copying a brilliant show.

Never really watching;
And stopping, ever stopping -
Preparing for the sun’s arrival;
Waiting for it’s sombre glow.

Nothing real until you see it;
Together, just together -
As I hold my coffee cup.
Pausing everything I cherish;
Where life begins when you wake up.

Love is Confusing

Oh love is confusing,
it has many definitions,
many tales of both fiction and non-fiction,
She loves him,
he loves her,
They both love someone else?
No true love anymore,
now it is like a compass
with a dial that spines out of control,
Go West-
Go North-
and South-
...Yes- south toward the devils,
never north to paradise-
Love is confusing,
(a confession believed a lie-
See her now cry!)
He slaps her,
she sleeps with another guy;
an endless game,
an endless war,
back and forth (tug of war)
so true, yet so fake,
yet so brilliantly acted out
(watch the tear- oh how convincing-
watch the slap- oh that must have hurt-)
tonight I go to bed,
resting my head upon my pillow,
and look up and see the faces of my past women
and I think of where they are at right then.
All I know is they're not with me,
and that is just confusing.

Ain't Love Grand

“Ain't love grand” is an old expression Still applies after all these years Age has no bearing, it's a life long affliction Not gonna change, have no fear It's the engine that drives us, it helps us through The good times and the bad It's miles ahead of whatever comes second The sweetest experience you could have “Ain't love grand” you bet your sweet bippy Without it, we're lost in a sea A boring and mundane, existence we'd lead Love sets our dear hearts free So keep your eye out for that special lover They're also looking for you Don't give up hope, eventually you'll meet And a lifelong affair will ensue © Jack Ellison 2014

Laying next to my love
Giving thanks to God above
Passion is in the night air
No other woman can compare

Your skin so soft to the touch
Oh how I want you so much
All night together once more
Shaking my loving heart to the core

I want to feel you so close
Sweet kisses curling my toes
Making cupids arrow appear
You whisper "not tonight dear"

the vulgar and the beautiful

The Vulgar and the Beautiful

By the roadside I saw a blushing flower amongst
arrogant, working class weed. It suffered greatly
this delicate bloom which could inspire a poet
to write about the richness of nature if only bloody
weed would stop being so obtrusive.

I picked the flower, rude, gray weed applauded
in their world of harshness beauty was strength.
And now that I have changed from being an angry
old man to a gentle soul, I put the flower in a vase
and saw it die of loneliness

Next day I stopped my car at the same spot I
ignored the blaring horns of angry drivers. And
the weed said: “why did you this to us we need
a soft soul amongst us even when we make fun
of its boon, but we need the love it creates.

Feline Friends

“Feline Friends”

Three feline friends they differ yet are the same
With unconditional love that put mankind to shame

If you want a loyal friend you won’t find any to exceed
It doesn’t matter the color, size or exotic breed

Knowing your innermost feelings and always feeling your pain
It never ceases to amaze me the love these small hearts contain

Always by your side like God intended us to be
I can not begin to tell you the teachings they give to me

With humorous curiosity and natural in there way
I watch with awe and wonder at there simplest form of play

They look at us with love and tell us they are content
They fill our hearts with joy and seem to be heaven sent

My advice to all who are trying to make amends
Fill your life with gratitude and find some Feline Friends

Under the porch light

It's late at night the stars are aglow
Quietly we huddle under the porch light
I want to kiss you but feel unsure, you
thank me politely for a night of fun, you dig
through your purse searching for the house key
I look for a sign that you want me to stay. You
find it opening the door and closing the night. It's
time for me to accept goodnight. The door is closed and yet I'm still
under the porch light in solitude. I hear some giggles and
see the curtain close. Your grandchildren seeking a peek
at Memaws new man. I smile and wave goodbye.
The frost in the air matches the frost in my hair
There will be other nights under the porch light.

In the great scheme of life, many choices you make,
Where to work, who to date, your yard when to rake.

The game of hearts is not quite the same,
Who you love and end up with, is all based on aim.

Yes Cupids aim, is sometimes not good,
Dam arrow it lands, in many a strange hood.

Once per chance the target is hit,
They may be charming, attractive and full of wit.

Only the lucky lovers get this type of win,
The arrow is known to bring pain, shame and sin.

Never knowing what's in store for you,
Loving arms and a partner that’s totally true,
Or an unfaithful idiot, to make you real blue.

You may think you scored, they look smokin' hot,
Having sex day and night, you love them a lot.

This sounds pretty awesome, is there a down side?
Not unless you count secrets, and the lovers he hides.

The girl that finds sales, and will spend all your cash,
She goes out on black Friday, doing the fifty yard dash.

Coming home the next day, a smile on her face,
I saved money here, and there, and lets not forget that place!

What she fails to tell you, is your fresh out of money,
Say something about it, she'll resign as your honey.

The men are no better, there tempers get hot,
Slobs and the lazy, and the ones that smoke pot.

One time in the game, Cupid seemed to shoot straight,
He gave me a lover, to see I couldn’t wait.

We had some good times, but the end is the same,
Bad excuses, feelings hurt, another to tame.

Please freakin' Cupid, have a talk with William Tell,
Take an archery lesson, or your bow I will sell.

You keep making me fall, for the wrong type of mate,
Just want a good friend, not someone to hate.

Reading Love Poems

I read poems
To my love
By poets past
Of affections timeless
But then those dusty words
Turned heated;
I must confess, I blushed;
I desisted, wherefore he
Did insist on explanation
I refused, and refused again
When he did prompt me read it
But then in his eyes was poetry
And no more were words needed

shattered! i am closed down. my life is slowly breaking as more pains come in. i am hurt and i am sad. i am in denial.

disappointed! i am hurting and i am crying. i cry but my tears do not matter to anybody.

life! is this all there is to it? sufferings, pains and agonies? i am done for it. fed up! i have lost the fire to see tomorrow. that fire which ignites hope. oh! did i just mention hope?

hope! just what i need. wait! i have hope. i just dont have it with me or in me. hope is that which revives and it is just what am missing... a revival. i so much want to hope. ok, now i am hoping to have hope. does that mean that i already have hope? is it that am not just believing? well, then help me believe. i so much want to believe. i feel so alone and let don.

deserted! unwanted and hated! those words are ever in my mind. they echo in my dreams and in my sleep. they haunt me. the air i breathe is that of resentment and rejection. all i know about myself is that i am filthy.

yes! filthy. but not literally. stupid is the word she used. how could i not have seen it coming? am i really dumb as the other one put it?

stuck! i dont have the answer to that. ignorant he is, am sure you are telling yourself. i am slowly letting go. the people that matter to me most, the closest and the trusted have made me become this shallow person. my self esteem is dead and none of them care for it. i am a burden to most of them and you know yourselves. some have told me off. some have shown it and some of you are just about to.

why? i ask myself. what have i really done? yes! i know. i falter alot but do you have to hate me with all that is in you? i cry when i sit to think of my life, my friends, my family, my loved ones and what they all do to me. is there anything i can do to atleast feel a bit of your love? even just for a day?

i wonder! why am i still living? why am i still alive in this world where no one even wants to hear my name? letting go. but wait! maybe there is hope. all i can do is hope. and i wish!

i wish mum was still around. she's the only person that ever genuinely loved me. i hurt her, i insulted her, i disrespected her but yet she loved me even more. she taught me how to love and i loved. what did i get in return? hatred, resentment and all that i get from most of you.. why?

God! look upon me. show me your love and mercy. make me believe and give me the fire to hope.

i have one mind.

Too Soon

Too soon for laughter
Too soon for tears
Too soon for trust
Too soon for fear

He left you for another
And my heart is in the way
Too soon for another love
So alone we both stay

I'll give you time
But I wish you would cry
Do you long for him
Too soon to deny

He used you and is gone
He treated you wrong
Is it too soon to see
In my heart you belong

Love can be sad and love can be bad
Too soon for love to make you glad
If you take my hand I'll pull you up
You see you couldn't be free of him
                                                    Soon enough.

Plastic in the plastic bin
Aluminum in another
Food scrapes for compost
Paper bound tight

Glass goes where the glass goes
Am I saving the world
Does it make a difference
Am I doing alright

I cleaned out our bedroom
And found a picture of you
The one with that sly smile
Just a picture of you

I know we parted
I know it was right
But why do I know
I'll stare at your picture all night

Is there a way to recycle
A broken heart
Can you salvage
Each memory broken apart

Can I put in a bin
The first time we kissed
Can I tie and bind away
Every dream every hope every wish

Maybe some other lovers
Can find the treasure we had
Maybe they can reuse our love
And make each other glad

Is there a way to recycle
Love gone bad
Such a waste, hard to replace
When happiness turns sad

Recycling recycling
That's what the world needs
Don't throw love away
Reuse it it's okay

For a love that once was strong
If dusted and cleaned
Can shine in new hearts
That's the magic of recycling.

give it up for Neil

out there in our world
there are brilliant individuals
whose minds are incredible,
awesome & inspiring,
bearing thoughts, ideas &
theories, which many of us
wouldn’t be able to fathom
if the thinker her/himself
sat down at our breakfast table
& spoon fed it to us
like we were good little Gerber

there are funny wo/men out
there also,
who with one quick quip or
deliberate body gesture, facial
contortion or humorous act
which may up to this point have
no definition at all,
are able to tickle our funny bone,
sending us into a fit of
laughter, which may very well
create pain in our gut or
cause us to fall right out of our

unfortunately it is the case that
seldom do these two vital human
qualities exist within the same being &
when you come across someone
who possesses both,
your jaw might drop at the same time
you begin to quake with an almost
this writer does feel that
Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson fits the bill.

Dr. Neil can captivate an audience---
armed with a comforting smile,
razor sharp wit & pure down to
earth sagacity,
in just over an hour (maybe less)
he can take those who held
absolutely no interest in Science
and with an uncanny ability to weave
the most wondrous & complicated
descriptions of what goes on in the
with jokes & anecdotes
in a communicative way that does not
have an agenda,
outside that of education,
he is able to turn on whole crowds
to a love of Science!

and once you see him,
you won’t be able to get enough---
you’ll watch all the youtube lectures he
and you’ll read all his books &
the whole time,
you’ll be learning things
which had they been brought you
by someone else,
you might have just been bored listening,
or ignored outright.

though many good intentioned smart
will do their best to convey
all their research &
they’ll do so with all the compassion that
they can muster,
how unquestionably important it is to
have someone like Neil
bearing as much communicative talent
as he does sheer intelligence,
so that he might continue to
illuminate the world,
showing his own love for what he does &
what has always interested him,
so that he may pass it on,
igniting further amazement in us all,
so that so many break the chains of
religious dogmas which have
kept their eyes & their minds
shut & closed for so long!

To my dismay soon realized

That the only one depositing was I

While you, always amounts withdrew

Till all was gone, then you took a hike!

In the Night

I love to watch the Comedy Channel
And chuckle all evening long,
There's plenty of time for suffering,
Till then I'll sing my humorous song,
But suffering will find me
when it should so desire
But until that time
comes to me,
In tender folds of dreams,
And love real, remembered, or imagined,
Dances into my mind,
to my great delight...
I'll hug my favorite pillow...
and sleep on through the night.

mosquito and man

Oh no! Why do men hate me so much? From incarnation even as I try to make my legs and hands and buttocks as small as anything! So they can’t say am competing with their colossal legs and hands and their protruding buttocks!
They say; we knew it! Right from the first sight, he was bent on evil with the ulterior motive that, whenever he perches on the sweet succulent, fresh, flesh - of ours, it won’t be noticed. Because he believes men are fools after all, big brains are not found in big bodies.
Men are evil. As I try to befriend, the more they inflict pains on me. Ok! I feel rejected and dejected by men, I considered it and thought it wise to detach myself from men by living in nearby bushes and rejected dumped waste and refuse.
They say; ah! Mosquito, you always make use of that little sense of yours. It is all pretence; you love men so much that you can’t live without them! Ok, if you say you want detachment, why must it be near men’s homes, or their dumped refuse and liquid waste? Why not very far at the desert so men won’t complain again. You love men! It is even clear as you lay your eggs where you feel you hate.
Men are ignorant. Ungrateful idiots! Their brains are stuffed with manure. Ok! If I hate men, why should I use the talent God gave me to make them comfortable? I use the best musical instrument; harp, flute with my wonderful composing way of singing, just to make them happy yet they detest me. Ok! How many men are musicians? How many even use the talent God gave them? Since God made me a musician from incarnation I will continue to use the talent, no matter how men feel.
Mosquito, Jackson of the age. You sing and even dance for men’s comfort! But the question is, if you love men as such, Why must the benevolent be a sort of boring? Why must it be at odd hours in the night made for resting? Even as we say stop! You still continue your singing. We don’t need it please! Your singing is a discomfort for men.
Ok! What of the affection I show to prove my love? I kiss your flesh and blood, just like any other man does by kissing the tongue and saliva of a female partner for love! Do you appreciate it at all? All I get from you are rancor and malice. Our judgment will be in heaven certainly.
The problem with you (mosquito) is that you don’t accept fault, very controversial and a very big threat to man. That is what you are! Accept your nature. You say you show affection, ok! Have heard of a man who kisses and inflicts pain on the partner? Perhaps by eating up the tongue or ejecting poisonous liquid in the partner’s mouth? But when you kiss, you disfigure our flesh and inject malaria into our bodies. Is that what you call love? We don’t want such affection, just know that; once you come around, we are at alert and always ready to strike! Let the worst happen in your so called heaven.

Her beauty is simple but strong
Her legs are shapely and long
Her eyes seduce within a wink
Her smile intoxicates like drink

Grace is her name her vision
To be her love I am driven
I need much more then sweet kisses
She teases my dreams into wishes

Grace for your attention I must persist
Grace in the moonlight so statuesque
Grace when we stroll hand and hand
Grace by your beauty I am damn

Her heart is true and made of gold
But gold is solid and gold is cold
My longings dwindle and are replaced
By Faith her sister, such a lovely face.

      Pass me the liquor
I need to high my spirit
With a fair toast and bold.

      Pass me the pipe
 I need to wear coverage
     And toss the more.

     Pass me a damsel
      Perhaps she will
   open my eyes and life.

Responses to Reflexive Daydream

But my love had wanted me to close my eyes. She awaited that moment for an eternity with
unrivaled patience. For she was in love with the water and waited only for me to close my
eyes so that her escape could happen without my perception. I was the scapegoat for my
love. What a cruel twist of irony: the reason I was unhappy would seemingly be of my
fault. How amazingly spiteful that the one I loved so much allowed me to wallow in
self-pittance while she made off with her true love. Her true love that lurked so calmly
undetected, yet was there the whole time.

My love floated, dead, alongside my boat. I continued to ride as the boat smoothly and
steadily headed toward shore. In an almost humorous obedience, my love stayed alongside
the boat. Caught in the wake, her non-seeing eyes saw everything but saw nothing. Her
beauty was unharmed and the water made her shimmer and sparkle with the sun's rays. If
this was how it was going to be, I was okay with it. My love was happy. As I rode closer
to shore, my love's body slowly started to float higher up on the water. Her eyes became
less whited. As the boat slid up onto the soft, white sand, her laid half-in, half-out of
the lake. Without hesitation, I bent down and lifted her into my arms. As she awoke from
the sleep of death, she coughed and gasped. I whispered I love you as our embrace grew.

It's Alllllll Good

An easy going gal am I,
Quick to smile and humble,
Not out to meddle, interfere,
To make your life a jumble.

Always was eager to please,
Grateful for some attention,
Asking only to be treated right,
As is our social convention.

Instead, somehow, roles reversed.
Everything’s gone all askew.
You’re hard to get, coy, distant, cold
And I find myself pursuing you.

Oh, we’re so over! Man up, man!
Just open your yap and say so.
I won’t get the vapors, faint or scream,
Just wave to you sweetly as you go.

So be on your way, my mute little cretin,
I’ll find a caring man; your door is shut.
Before you go, say goodbye, cowboy,
Pucker up and kiss my furry butt.

Sexy Redhead

Daphne, I love you
in your purple dress
You're my favourite of the gang
to that I must confess
Your blonde friend just makes traps
and the brainy one is nerdy
The canine and the skinny one
eat huge burgers quite insanely
Your role is kind of quirky
but you're prettier than the others
I don't know who to thank for that
perhaps the animators

Sorry, Jack's Met His Demise

Now this is going to be a real challenge Looking at things from a woman's perspective How the ladies react to flattery Do they buy it or think it's ineffective Real behaviour that grabs their attention If you appear like a real newbie That's when this sweet lil mommy sets in You're likely to win over this cutie Don't mean to sound like a know it all But this guy's been around for a while On this touchy subject I'm surely no expert But boyishness wins by a mile Never sound slick, girls find it pompous You're done for before you get started Appear kinda nervous and a wee bit uneasy Convincing her is usually the hardest Get her attention then your instincts kicks in You've reached the first step on the way Don't seem aggressive, just a bit apprehensive Like a part in a love ballet I don't guarantee success every time But in general you're chances are better You'll be blushing and smiling from ear to ear And be on the right of the ledger This advice is invaluable but it's free of charge I offer it as a service to guys But don't write me letters if it doesn't work out I'll say, “Sorry, Jack's met his demise” © Jack Ellison 2015

Double your love back

Double your love back I'm guarantee
To forever make you forever happy
Double your love back
Take a chance on me
I come with a life long warranty.

So how can you lose?
How can you refuse?
Come on now and choose
Choose to spend all your time with me

Who else can state it is fact?
That if we ever should part
I'll give you double your love back
Double your love back
And win back your heart

Who else offers you as much?
Who else can promise you true?
Who else do you know?
That's not afraid to say I Do, I Do.

Double your love back I'm guarantee
To forever make you forever happy
Double your love back
Take a chance on me
I come with a life long warranty.

An old familiar

An old familiar,
all too clear;
as you roll on your back
and new tempo appears.

Repeated chug
of train runs through;
no nightmare is this
for it’s all from you.

Constant your whistle,
your engine is stoked;
as I try to disturb you
you snort, gag and choke.

Rolled over you're peaceful,
all is quite in our home;
the train in the distance,
'Till on rear you do roam.

I love you dear dearly
as I lay by your side,
and I’m drifting to sleep now
with sun, sand and tide.

Stars Are a Dime a Dozen

Roses are so overdone
The weeping willow is no fun
The sky is too blue
The moon is so new
Stars are a dime a dozen

When love passes you by
Each step begins with a sigh
And you just want to cry
And crawl in bed and hide
Stars are a dime a dozen

Heaven so full of twinkles
Heaven those stars sprinkle
Wishes and desires
With bright they flame the fires

Stars, stars, grant me my love
Stars, stars, in Heaven above
If my wish is sincere
Let me hold her so dear

The sun is too yellow
Flowers have mellowed
Leaves on the trees have browned
Like my heart, fallen to the ground
Stars are a dime a dozen

Wishes that never come true
No matter whatever you do
A zillion wishes for a zillion stars
Mine skips Venus lands on Mars
Stars more wishes ...not worth a dime a dozen

Sugar Plate

Just go feed the cat, pretty please?
fix me a drink and add ice.
I boss you around with love
salt to your sugar

You take care of me so well
your heart left on your apron
love is the smell of fresh bread
that plate of sweetness.
