My Cat

I love my cat.

She has 4 legs

and a tail

and nice ears

and a cute little nose.

She is gray with black stripes.

Her eyes are kinda green

kinda yellow.

I don't know what colour this is?

Her name is Bast.

This is the name of a very pretty cat goddess

who lives where the pyramids grew.

When my cat is happy she purrs.

So do I.

My cat is soft and warm.

My cat likes to eat food.

Right now I am feeding her special food for young cats.

She likes this better than the last stuff.

She eats all day long.

I do too.

If I become fat

or she becomes fat

I will cut down on our food.

My cat also likes to drink water.

So do I.

I got rid of her cat bowls.

Now she uses the same bowls I do.

I think this makes her feel extra special.

When my cat wants to play outside

she meows and scratches at the door.

This is how I know if she wants to play outside.

My cat poops in the neighbour's yard

so I don't have to clean her litter box too much.

I love my cat.

If I was a cat I would marry her.

We could have a honeymoon in the park.

I would dance around

and watch her climb trees.

At night my cat sleeps on top of me.

If she moves around too much

she wakes me up.

This makes me mad.

But she doesn't care.

She just looks at me.

And looks at me.

Then waits for me to fall back asleep

so she can sleep on top of me some more.

But I still love my cat.

Very much.

Even if she makes me mad sometimes.

But only now and then.

She creates far more happiness than anger.

I suppose this is how it is for some married couples?

Cats are great.

I wish more people had a cat like mine

because then everyone else would be happy just like me.

One great big happy world

filled with peaceful thoughts instead of so much pain and war.

I hope she lives a long time.

When she dies I will get another cat

because they are so nice.

And when I die

I will meet all of my cats

up in heaven.

I love my cat.

And she loves me.

Lilly's Lullaby

She was always there
     with her big green eyes
Looking up at me
     and into the skies.

Her dreams were of birds
     and of prowling about.
I tried keeping her in
     but she always got out.

She would hide on the roof
     to hunt unwary prey
then gift them to me
     in her honoring way.

Sometimes I screamed loudly
at the gifts that she offered
centipedes, roaches and mice
were some things that she proffered.

Praises were always followed
     by special kitty treats.
While I pleaded with her
     to make no repeats.

She always stood guard
as if to give me protection
and would curl up close to me
     to offer her affection.

Oh Lilly, sweet Lilly
     please continue to purr
and I will continue
     to stroke your soft fir.

As her song would begin
     well, it made me cry.
I’ll miss her every day
until the day that I die.

Jess and Mike

"Each experience is locked within my heart and only I hold the key..."

There was a time when Jess was young, that we thought we were going to lose him.
It all started with recurring headaches he would have. These headaches became more frequent and intense over a few months. Next, tremors on one side joined the headaches.
Countless trips to the Doctor and days of having to leave work to go to his side at school to help him through the episodes. I blew a gasket. I demanded a CAT scan. I think that the only reason that the Doctor agreed, was to shut me up. But I knew in my gut, that these were not migraines as diagnosed.
The day of the CAT scan came. I sat in an area that allowed me to see my son and hear the technicians. At first, the techs were very chatty among themselves. Then, stark silence. As if a tomb door had been shut. Then the words that still haunt me were said..."Oh shit" on of the technicians whispered. I closed my eyes and felt my heart cry out in its pain.

I sat in the Doctors office, waiting for him to come and tell me my son was fine. That there was an error in the reading of the scan.
He entered with his nurse, who was carrying a box of tissues and cup of water.
"Your son has an arachnoid cyst. The left temporal lobe of his brain is not there. In its place is a fluid filled sack. The pressure of the filling fluid is causing all the symptoms. He will need to undergo brain surgery."
I sat there....numb. All I recall hearing are the words...Brain surgery.
The day of the surgery came. His younger brother was with me in the waiting room. Too young to understand the gravity of the situation. All he knew was that his brother was very sick.
Now, I want to take you to our sons Hospital room, post surgery.
There he was, lying in the big bed. White as the sheet that covered his small body up to his chest. His head wrapped in bandages. Tubes and wires everywhere.
As our son was waking up, his first words were "Where is my brother?"
Mike flew to the side of his bed and grabbed his hand. "I'm right here!" he said.
Very weakly, Jess was able to say "I love you Mike."
Mike in turn said, "I love you Jess."
My tears that had never flowed through the whole ordeal finally came. Not out of fear, but for the love that our sons had for one another.

not me two cats and a mangy dog

the rain fell
outside
dogs and cats
Sunday
was late in coming
rolled over in bed
played dead

until a red
long haired cat
named Fred
sat
on my head
and my face
turned red

then a stray
mangy yellow dog
named Yellow
decided to play
with me
chased Fred away
and decided to stay

his body heat
was hot
and I rolled over in bed
until a cool fat black cat
named Frank
chased Yellow
outside to the riverbank

Frank the cool fat black cat
started to scat
at the top of his range
at the edge of my bed
his blues
went straight
to my head

then Yellow and Fred
returned
with guitar and bass
and played backup
to Frank
while I played the bed
to save face

it was all
going swell
until my neighbors
who didn’t like our chops
banged a different tune
on the wall
and called the cops

they broke down
the door
and took away us four
along with our instruments
less the bed of course
into a paddy wagon
we sped

it was in a cell
with a cot
that we realized that we were hot
to trot
and started our prison band called
not
me two cats and a mangy dog

Dear cat,when old

Lurching yet graceful ,the old black cat sets off.
Slowly he circles the edges of the garden in joy.
In the car ,though still in a shut basket,
He always knew when we came to the turning of the road.
Was it the cherry trees in blossom,a scent
Or something we could never be aware of?
I would open his basket in the car.
He comes out and descends so carefully
Onto the pavement, then tries to bound up the path,
The long wooded back garden is his total joy.
He would sit watching tiny frogs in a deep pond in the sun.
No doubt he longed to catch one.
He once brought a robin indoors,
The bird was completely unharmed.
Must have been his gift to me
We released it later after its shock had worn off.
Now he can only hobble,
And soon, his thinness warns me, he'll be gone.
No cat has ever loved or will love like this cat,
A rescued, terrified animal.
His eyes say everything to me.
I look into their clear-jewelled greenness
I look into a deep, still glowing sea of light.
The last day, finally, all day,he's on my knee.
I say"goodbye,goodbye,Pussy".
And he's gone,just before tea.
Now the garden seems empty.
Love leaves a gap.
Love leaves us bare
Love leaves us stripped.
Yet Love is eternal grace.
A mystery of faith.
I believe.
Believe.
Be.

Ava Juice

She greets me with morning eyes
and we laugh under white down
telling stories of all sorts:

Cats who wear backpacks
at night filled with treats
Lizards who step foot
into her messy room
and then turn on their tails
for a quick stepped retreat
Then we come up
with the juice we could drink
such as "air juice"
which forces the hiccups to come
or the dreaded old colored
balloon juice (Have some
and your belly will blow up
to sky high retorts)
We laugh as we come up
with juice of all sorts
"Zipper juice" closes your mouth
in a zip
which a friend must unzip
between every sip!
"Camel hair juice"
why now THAT is just sticky
and goes down your throat
quite incredibly tickly!
"Elephant toe juice"
We think that is one
that we'll leave quite untouched
as it wouldn't be fun
to drink toe juice and such
So - that is the way that we spend
all our mornings
Stories and giggles
and smiles galoring
Perhaps this is something that you do as well
with a hat and a cape and a cat and a bell
for we all have a tale, to be told and to tell
when we're fresh from a leap off the edge of our dreams
and being awake isn't quite what it seems
for the cat is still wearing his backpack...

Purrfection

Oh fantastic furry feline
So silent and still in slumber
White whiskers awaiting to wake
From dreams of docile dormice.

Mysterious and mesmerising moggy
Boundless beauty befalls you
Perfect plush paws and cutting claws
Bright beautiful eyes bestowed.

Oh valiant velvet cloaked vagabond
A spirit so wild and wilful
My love lies languishing in your heart
Come closer to comfort my soul.

- An Angel In Your Eyes-

                                                   Outside my door
                                             late one autumn evening
                                           A small white wicker basket
In the basket a soft pink blanket
It hung a red heart on the handle
                                                with three little words
                                                    "Please love me"
                                             With curiosity and wonder
I take the basket in from the cold
From the the carpet two shiny blue eyes
two small ears a little pink nose
                                               and a scruffy little head
A tiny, tiny little baby kitten
My heart melts it's so cute
                                                    I love you already

An ode to cotton

My little white fluff ball
I think all the kittens will grow
Soft and sweet
up to be healthy and strong the
Small and calm
way they should be when they
She is as sweet as candy
should be. I think they will love.
She plays all day and sleeps all night.

Anyone who will love them.
They are small but strong.
I know they will have	great lives ahead of them
She loves to have fun
Her small blue eyes glowing, tiger with his new owner
Ash and Cotton with us.
I love cotton just as much as the others.
She love her siblings
She is small and loud

I love her lots
She weaves between the gates
And runs after her brothers tail
I wish she was more quick.
I still love her with all my heart
Like I love ask and tiger her brothers
They are all sweet and they are like little rabbits.
I hope they grow up to be big and strong
My little angles they may seem now but
What about when they are older?

My Beautiful Bride's

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

A curious drop of orgone dusk; making way to peek amid the curtains...

Hush the breath rising in slivers of delight; a manifold cat crowing

With blood dripping from the vine; candlelight shadows and the clock chimes

Black rubies twined atop pentagon lines; vanilla incantations of silk desires

Parting red lips to stoke this fire; deep the moans bewitching cradle

Resting now the dawn which waits; within her arms love set ablaze...

Nightfalls curious drop of time; beyound the curtains in that sublime

Whereupon her bosom it does lie; casting spells while taking tithes

In this my heart she surely knows; outside the window a proxic cat crows
Aneath blood and blue rubies dripping from the vine; such silk incantations...

Tiger

He waits for chance to settle on my jeans,
This gentle relative of wild felines.
He starts to purr as he lands in my lap.
It is his preferred place to take a nap.
He paws my hand to get himself a pat,
Aware he is my beloved, pampered cat.
I know the routine, it's been well rehearsed
And wonder which of us will nod off first.

He looks at me with loving eyes of green,
A brilliant color not on humans seen.
We nestle down in comfort of my chair.
No place on earth a more contented pair.
Although my work awaits, I do not move,
For I too need a time of purrfect love.

Ode To Pretty Cat

            Ode To Pretty Cat

My cat has female inclinations when it purrs
It does not speak in English using words
But has a perfect soul
Pretty Cat gets by, with its billowy fur

Prefers not fighting and takes flight
At any sign of danger or such notions
Avoids all confrontations
Wears his fluffy yellow hair like gold
He spreads out on his pillows that are its oceans
Unfolds, unfurls his coat in thick proportions
Spoiled, preened and cleaned in lotions
He’s such a pretty boy

Curtains hang as clouds, as distractions
Such fun and dangling’s, to drag them down, as pleasure toys
We smother him in kisses, emotions and affections
He’s such a pretty thing
Who simply glows
He’s almost human

It is a life of comforts, slumbering all day
I would love to be with kitty all the time
But work and life get in the way
So I must work so Pretty Cat can play

It dreams in feline tiny mind expressions
Short cat naps at a time of happy things and smiles
Imagines fish and birds served up in style with some cat nip
Pretty Cat has no place to go so it grows fat
We pet him for hours while he rolls on his back
I just love being with my little friend
A true city kitty cat

Though he is very old he stays real sweet and pretty
My heart jumps, as it attacks the string I hold
It clings to it and swings with fevered paws
As bright green eyes follow like a tick tock clock
Pendulum like as the one thing in life he likes a lot

It is through comfort found in twine and string
My cat and I find true happiness in things

When I’m with Pretty Cat problems fade far away
Dissolve and melt into tomorrow with no sorrow
Where beauty alone cannot keep his lustrous eyes awake
Our play time has no measure in the hours
I always find pure pleasure with that Pretty cat of mine

Unknown

Who am I?
Am I defined by what is near in sight?
Am I defined by what I have done,
Or am I defined by what I could become?

Perhaps I'm of no use.
To him, or her, or I, nor you.
Or perhaps I'm too misunderstood to be defined,
And it is something like understanding that comes in time.

And if to the world I'm never shown,
Yet in my own light I've grown and grown,
And so I can know no happiness but my own--
The reason for my smile, to you, will forever be unknown.

I do not pray for the world to know my name.
For it and verse; the letters are the same.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads,
I pray his pain my words to keep.

Should his eyes rain on my page,
Better tears than storms of rage.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads.
I pray his pain my words to keep.

And if to the world you're never shown,
Yet in your own light you've grown and grown,
And so you know no happiness but your own.
Let the reason for your smile, to you, only be known.

My Charlie Cat

Upon his favored pillow, curled up tight
He sleeps through happy hours without a stir,
Tail wrapped around and paws tucked out of sight,
Beneath his purring ball of gray-striped fur.
Awake, he fills my hours with happiness—
He softly pats my cheek with gentle paw
When closely held and purrs with my caress
While loving gold-green eyes leave me in awe.
Outside, when called, he runs into my arms
More like a pup, he shows deep loyalty.
My Charlie, so endowed with loving charms…
A special, blessed creature sent to me.
Such tender love for him I feel inside…
His love for me can never be denied.

Tabby

Not long before I put down my dirt filled hoe
Into my yard she quietly crept
It’s as though she knew I needed her cheer
She was rust colored and sadly matted cat
Not the most attractive feline I’d ever seen
But she was lonely and hungry, and in need
Of course immediately my Mothering instinct beckoned
She followed me to where I poured some milk for her
Not ever having a cat I didn’t have cat food on hand-
So I opened a can of tuna to her delight
She lapped it up and looked up at me with a smile
The next day there she was waiting and the day after and so on
I had found a friend
So I went out and bought some cats food
She was now mine of at least I thought so
Who could have ever done such a thing?
Leaving her to the streets?
I bought her flea collar and bells to wear
Soon she would just sit on my lounge chair waiting for me
I had to bring her into the house she still looked so frail
One day while she was eating I noticed her choking on her food
It continued so I made an appointment to see the vet
It had to be done anyway after all she was to be mine
While we had our visit and the saddest moment of my life came
The doctor said she had throat cancer and it was advanced
Our friend Tabby didn’t but a few weeks to live
So my husband and I made the pain staking decision
To put her to sleep
Tears poured from every corner of my eyes
“No” was all I screamed inside she had brightened my life
How could someone have left her alone?
The Vet felt the previous owner knew about her condition
They left her to suffer knowing she was so sick
I felt we at least gave her 6 weeks of love and care before she left this place
I will never forget the love and championship this rusty feline gave me
Months later my family and I adopted another cat Tabby showed us-
The greatest love and companionship that animals give you unconditional
We now have two wonderful cats that were adopted
They bring so much to our lives

Opposites in Love collabaration

The crashing waves hit the bow, as we cut through waters deep.
Clasped in irons that cut the skin; forged in the fires that never sleep.

The desert was dry, the sun beat down, I am free as a bird
The breeze tickled through the oasis, near the camel herd

Now my love is fading, like the burnt embers of those flames.
I am now branded a thief and prisoner, amongst some other names.

The hate I felt for the whore that tried to give his love to me.
Was so strong I felt I could kill him, my love he will never see.

I stole for her a flower, a simple heart felt gift.
The perfume now a memory, on this prison galleon adrift.

I am traveling to my wedding, across the desert so hot and dry.
Perfumed flower petals along the way, by slaves are scattered awry.

Seven years the price for my gift of love it did gain.
Hard labour I endure, to avoid the leather cat pain.

My arms are full of bracelets, and pearls hang round my neck.
I never think of him, now shackled on that deck.

Her kisses sublime, a memory fading, the perfume of her skin and hair
The price is high but I will pay, I took her from him to be fair.

To think I could have kissed. him makes my skin fairly crawl.
But the plan worked well, for my new rich lover, it managed to enthrall.

Slaves to love, there is no choice, when our hearts lead us astray.
I stand here windswept and tear stained, with seven years to pay.

How dry my eyes now he has gone, freedom is beckoning me.
So easy it was to frame him, now he has seven years before he is free.

I stand in the wind, rope in hand, waves crashing all around.
My ankles are bleeding with the chains, and the cat makes a whistling sound.

I lay on cushions with rings on my fingers the slaves are fanning me.
My wrists are bathed in rose oil, and kissed perpetually.

My love is strong, my heart is given, and I know I will endure.
My love will wait for me, my beauty, my life, my own sweet amour.

Thank goodness I kept my heart for me, and for me alone.
This thing called love is foolish, my heart it has never known.

In collaboration with Declan Fitzgerald who started the story off which made it easy to alternate my side of the story as a femme fatale between his couplets.

The Tiger Rock and Leopard Black

From the wood where coyotes play
Blackie cat came on a summer’s day.
Called seemingly, to fill the place
where Rocky the cat lay dreaming.

A proud old tom who’d seen his end
Rocky had held it long at bay.
A Guardian was he of Mom you see,
but when he passed she’d stay.

And he’d not leave till he knew
she would not be alone…
He’d found ole Blackie for her
to give them both a happy home.

Blackie and he had many a day
of lolling in the grass and sun.
But Rocky’s porch he would not share
that was for Mom and he the only one.

She feed them both, each to his own
and cared for both in kind.
Rocky’s plan, he was the man…
was to not leave her alone inside.

So, Rocky's sweet self sacrifice
of staying much too long
was blessed with painless passing
He died in Mommy’s arms.

Now everyday, ole Blackie comes
as Rocky told him too.
To keep his Mommy company
another Guardian true.

Still too frightened to come inside,
Mom’s sure he will one day.
And on that day they’d both be sure
that Blackie’d come to stay.

Circle of Life - A Pet Story

It seems like just the other day
Our pup, Shadrack, did pass away;
And altho’ they never seemed like friends,
My old cat, Jorg, knew Shad had met
   his untimely end.

He mourned his loss every day
And looked for Shadrack everywhere.
He’d mew and moan as if to say,
“We were friends. I do care.”

Then one night, an eerie howl
Awoke me from my sleep.
He’d found Shad’s toys and left no doubt
That his feelings did run deep.

So our tedious search began
To find another likely pup;
But while my poor wife still grieved,
Could another measure up?

We went to Second Chance and Free to Live.
She just could not make up her mind.
She loved them all; but, if she picked just one,
The rest would have to stay behind.

Then, quite by chance, there was a “pound pup”
Who’d been picked up from the streets.
He was a mutt, a “schnauza-pug”;
But he was awfully sweet.

He jumped up and kissed her frantically.
He seemed aware of his “iffy” situation.
He made the best of his opportunity.
Tears of joy told her elation.

“This is the one”, she smiled through tears,
As she held him oh, so tight.
“I’m sure that Jorg will like him too.
Everything will be alright”.

And so it was, until one day
When old Jorg did pass away…

There was no hesitation on this sad occasion;
Come Saturday morning, we went straight
   to the pound,
Open minded and hoping to be “saviors”,
Surely a nice cat was to be found.

“Sadly”, the lady said,” three kitties have only today.
There’s Andre and Panda and another one too”.
My wife smiled and said, “Jorg was your boy. You pick.
They’re both beautiful cats. It’s up to you”.

As I pondered this commitment
Another cat, a young one, caught my eye.
Like Jorg, he was a common gray tabby.
Fond memories were stirred. I almost cried.

On closer look, his name was Boris;
And, strangely, he was number three.
There was a small sign on his crate,
“I don’t like other cats and other cats don’t like me”.

But there was character in his eyes and he was cute.
He was rolling and purring and stretching.
He seemed to look deep into my heart
And did his best to be quite fetching.

But because he was just a common gray tabby,
And because of the little sign,
His chances were slim, his future quite dim
And one day is precious little time.

For a moment I was lost in his eyes
And I heard his desperate plea,
“I’m a swell cat and litter box trained.
Take me. Please, take me”.

“Well”, my wife urged, “is it Andre or Panda”?
“One of us will take the other kitty.”, two older ladies chimed.
“You can each have one ladies”, I said with a smile.
I want Boris and he wants to be mine”.

In just hours he was romping and rolling with Pepper,
Who had happily welcomed his new friend.
Boris was a perfect fit, an affirmation;
The Circle of Life never ends.

Much more Joy than Sadness in this Circle,
And there should never be regrets.
Honor their memories and all the love they share,
Never break the Circle, never be without a Pet.

Hide and Seek

Cat and Mouse: hide and seek
This could take an hour or week

No one wants to seem too bold
So we put our love on hold

A peek here and a peek there
Wondering if we really dare

Wondering what the seconds bring
Wondering if the phone will ring

Wondering, wondering: peek a boo
You’re hiding…. but I SEE you

I see past that great big wall
Your heart’s ready for the fall

I know that you caught the bait
But I sit and wait and wait

I’m patient, got time of day
But oh, what if you get away!

Cat and mouse: hide and seek
Oh, my knees are getting weak

Oh, this heart’s sure to explode
The waiting’s gone to overload

One more second's just too much
No time for cat games and such

Hide and seek…is getting old
Here I am! My love is bold!

Ready? You'll be caught real tight!
Cause boy, your just out of sight!

Thoughts from the Mind of a Blogger

It was a chilly morning in paradise...

Autumn was already here...

A time for strange things to happen, as it is that time of year...

She was up most of the night, doing a write....

Regarding some hubs and her series titled "Legend of Fred "

Ahh the questions she had... rolling around in her head..

Were “where were her readers, her followers “ her Hubbers...?

They had all seemed to like what she wrote in the past..

But lately her hubs were falling so fast....

She had written articles on health and life..

perhaps she had targeted too much strife...

Maybe they wanted to read about food..

But when you're not a cook, that would be kinda rude..

Oh, will wonders never cease ?

So she decided she'd get some zzzzz's

She lay in her bed, not moving at all...

but breathing quite deeply, as I saw the covers fall...

So I stretched my muscles and walked ever so slow..

So as not to wake her , then I spied her big toe..

Sticking out from the blanket..it was such a temptation..

And with me having such a" foot fixation".. however...

She needed the rest , so she can finish her quest..

I have some thoughts of my own...

that I would like to share in a poem..

And I would be happy to help her.. but..

I don’t think the world is ready for me...

as I am a BLOGGING CAT.. you see

So I will close for now...everyone have a great week...as

I'm off to seek something that has a tweak and a squeak..

Cats I Have Known

To Tiger, our first, and best, a grey Tabby,
large and handsome, with broad black stripes,
I only had to speak your name,
and you moved to obey.

To our second, Sylvester, exact replica
of the cartoon character, a born hunter,
lining up your prey on the front walk.
I welcomed the mice and shrews.
But, do you recall me prying your jaws
open to set the chipmunks free?

And Tricia, our Calico, gorgeous
enough to be queenly, but sweet.
How we loved watching you play
with S'Lito and Rugby,
as if you too were a dog.

Next, Petunia, your snow white coat
in sharp contrast to black ears,
tail and face mask – a true beauty.
Yet a quirky personality spoils
your disposition. You "talk" non-stop
and hiss at anything that moves.
If only I could speak your language.

You're the kicker, Sweet William,
resident ruler of my heart.
You came to us as a kitten,
nondescript, long and lean,
independent, sometimes aloof,
sometimes very affectionate,
always playful, always endearing.

All of you were unwanted rejects,
dumped like sacks of garbage,
each unique, each with your own niche
in our permanent memory banks.

Cruel Hearted Greedy People Update

This is just an update to those of you who love your pets!!
Not all the doctors are cruel hearted, greedy vets!!

I actually talked to a nice Doctor last night,
and at five o'clock my cat gave birth to five babies.
The lady took me at my word that I'll pay her tomorrow!
Four babies lived and my cat is now spayed and her babies lived.
All but, one. I actually helped revive the kittens with my sister.
This lady was so upset that she couldn't do anything at the clinic
she was "on call" for, that when she got home to her house she called.
She has her own practice at her house, and she feared my baby would die.
As did, I. So My cat, Maxine, who is named after my Grandma, is okay.
So is Lois and Quagmire, (Family Guy), and Emmet and Jasper. (Twilight)
So thanks everybody!!!! You guys are the greatest!!!!!

A song about my cat

My cat went a roaming to find a new home.
Sing kitty,sing katty,sing Oh!
This cat was so clever he had his own comb.
Look up,now look down, stone the crows!

He went into the neighbours' and drank all their milk.
Sing,fridge raiding kitties.No,No!
Then he laid himself down on a piece of fine silk.
Sing,what the dickens,my lovely pillow!

He went to the butcher and ate all the steak.
Sing greedy,he's ruined my flow.
Then he went to the hairdresser for a shampoo.
Where else can a puttitat go?

He had no plastic,no money,no cheque!
Sing,cheater,sing creature,sing woe.
She sent for a Copper who paid the cat's bill.
And so my puss came out all aglow.

Now my cat was glossy and plump and refreshed.
Sing:fancy,it all goes to show.
So he came home and said this place is best.
And he picked up his cello and bow.

He scraped some Sibelius and also some Grieg.
Sing: Northern lights can always glow.
But,he looked so self satisfied,I felt annoyed....
One should not let one's narcissism show.

But he was so handsome,I was glad he came home.
Sing,grateful,sing katefull,sing Ho!
And I hope he will never again want to roam.
Sing glory.sing story;Sing So!

A Cat loved a Parakeet

A cat loved a parakeet,
It would always keep looking for her around the neighborhood,
Just to catch a glimpse of the cute parakeet,
When the parakeet will sit for a little while on the Guava Tree,
The cat would leave everything else and unabashedly look at the parakeet,
She took no notice of this at first,
Then on a beautiful wintery day, she noticed the love-struck cat,
Their eyes met,
It was Pure Magic!
She loved the color of the cat’s eyes,
It was a deep shade of dark brown,
In sharp contrast to the deep blue eyes that she had,
The cat's eyes said a lot of things to her, which only she could understand,
Their silent love went on for days,
They kept looking at each other for hours and hours and hours together,
Then months passed till one day the cat mustered some courage,
Walking in a trance, it tip-toed towards the Guava Tree,
The cute parakeet laughed and giggled a little,
Seeing the Romeo take charge,
She flew down from a higher branch to a lower one to cutely say ‘Bravo’,
The cat now swelling with great pride climbed atop the the Guava tree with some difficulty,
They embraced, hugged each other and had a feeling of Divine Love!
Yesterday evening, while it was raining, they finally got married,
The squirrel was the best man in their wedding,
All the animals and birds of the neighbourhood wished the newly weds their best of wishes,
They happily live now in the good old Guava Tree.

My Beautiful Bride's

Curious, a drop of orgone dusk
Making way to peek amid that
These curtains; hush this breath
Rising in slivers their, delight..
A manifold cat crowing with
Blood dripping from the vine
Candlelight shadows and the clock
Chimes black rubies twined atop
Pentagon lines vanilla incantations
Silk desires, parting perfect red lips
Stoking this fire; deep the moans
Bewitching cradles resting now
The dawn which waits within
Her velvet charms; love, set ablaze...
Nightfalls curious drop of time
Beyound the curtains in that sublime
Whereupon her bosom she does lie
Casting spells while taking tithes
In this my heart they surely know
Outside their window, a proxics cat
Does crow; aneath blood as blue rubies
Dripping from vines; such, silk incantations.

The Love Of Our Two Cats

Sammie and Pepper are like our children to us
Their bright eyes are so expressive with much love and trust
So many years ago I just never did know
About the deep love of a cat and my impressions were low
But I was just a young man during those growing years
Gettiing over some rough spots and so many fears
As life has continued to mould me and I became a cat daddy
At my more mature age I even baby sit our daughters cats, Cody and Maddy
So, every now and then their are four cats in the house
We are honored to have them all, me and my spouse
We are now very much cat lovers and so very proud and happy
We are greeted whenever we come in the door, loving mommy and pappy
They both rub against our legs and look up with inquiring bright eyes
Where you both been? Did you bring us a surprise?
And we always do bring them something to enjoy
A goodie to eat and perhaps a little mouse toy
Just wanted to tell the world how wonderful it is to be in love
With these furry Gods creatures so delightfully created in heaven above

THE TENDERNESS OF A LOVELY CAT

On a bed softer than fur and whiter than daisies,
the tenderness of a lovely cat cuddling
her two kittens while they're sleeping...
is a vision we won't forget for hours, or even days!

Imagine a loving mother being part of her kids' dreams
as they lay asleep...doesn't that cat do what she does?
Isn't it an incredible surprise to see tears in strangers' eyes...
when they realize that felines and people share the same feelings?

And we looked at cats as domestic pets:
with pretty eyes and furs of every color with a meow
so gentle that was distinctively theirs,
but this misconception ought to change now;
we must appreciate them much more,
and welcome them through our door!

Oscar,my cat

Cat

When Oscar sits on the windowsill

And sees someone within,

His mouth opens wide in soundless cry,

He gives us his cat grin.

Oscar rubs around my legs

He's such a friendly soul.

He then rolls round upon his back

And waves his long striped tail.

But after Oscar's greetings done,

He's off to do his rounds.

He sets off from the white door

To the long thin gardens end.

Every inch of soil and seed

Is subject to his nose.

The garden looks one way to us,

But he can see much more.

I wish that Oscar cat could talk

And tell us what he's found.

Ten thousand spider's weaving webs,

A slow worm on the ground.

A million ants climb up the rowan,

I sometimes watch them too.

I see the striped wasps and honey bees

In this small natural zoo.

The hedgehogs sweet have long been gone,

but we have diverse birds.

Oscar sits on my tall stool.

He watches them for hours.

BOSS CAT AND THE BOTTICELLI NUDE

"Suddenly you remember an old Chinese tale in which cats once ran
the world until they decided it was too much bother. That's when you
stepped in, another story. Say you get up now and go back to work"
                                                                       Dian Duchin Reed
I once had a Lilac Point Siamese of royal lineage
who entered our commoner family as a small
ball of silky fur, home-schooled in the basement
until he discovered the joys of the climb.
In time, he grew beautiful, sleek, and mischievous,
loved the warmth of sunshine and stovetop,
delighted in rearranging the coffee table flowers
in front of my egg yolk yellow plastic couch,
(it WAS the seventies, after all). One shout,
and he was out, knowing the rules

of the house, knowing too, noblesse oblige,
that pardon followed hard on the paws of beauty,
intelligence, and a feline sense of humor.
At bath time, cats and water at polar ends
of the tub, I was a Botticelli nude, awash in suds,
cat at breast, his blue eyes black with dread,
and though love prevailed between the species,
when toweled dry, cat fled, taking his righteous,
royal rage to simmer beneath the bed.

We named him "Charlie Chan" for the serial
father of forties' movie fame, Charlie when in grace,
C Chan, shouted out when in the cathouse
with his mom, Super Cat by any name. Daily
reveille was his, crouching bedside each dawn,
minutes to spare by cat time until the alarm clock
triggered a leap into our bed, and a practiced
tread over recalcitrant bodies.

If, as it is said, animals have no sense
of future tense, then Chan, a blessed Buddha
of the interminable now, could not foresee "NO pets"
unwelcomed in our path. Into the arms
of another woman who pledged to love him, I
placed one confused and frightened cat. Now
years past, absence making missing stronger,
I cannot part with the broken heart
I ask this poem to mend.

The Best Man A Girl ever Had

He was the best lil' man a girl ever have
I was five and he was six
He had red hair and freckles and said the darnest things
One day we were on the front porch in the swing he looked at me and said sugar
do you know what I want to do I said no daddy cause that what he told me to call him my lil' daddy but he told me he want to take them two cats and tie their tails together and I told him I didn't think that was a good idea but when lil' daddy got it in his head you could not stop him so I told him well we needed to think of some way of holding them cat down to tie them tails so he run to the barn and came back with two corn sacks and we each caught a cat well my cat was a girl and she was tame but lil' daddy got ole tom and he was not so friendly and he started to claw his way out of that sack but lil' daddy wasn't going down without a fight and tom gave him one lil ' daddy was bloody from the top of his head to the bottom of his arms but tom did get his tail tied to my cat she wasn't no more happier that tom when mama heard the noise she came a runnin' with a switch and tanned our hides but by this time the cats already got loose

The Lonely Cat

The cat waits by the door
with begging eyes and wagging tail.
He waits for them to open the door
and let him in.

This is the sixth home he's visited today
but yet his hopes never dim.
He meows loudly in hopes that someone
would let him in.

And again, another kick
again, another rejection foot has come.
He falls off each step, but gets back up
and keeps on searching.

That foolish cat came to my house.
His matted fur and mangled body disgusted me.
But because I liked his audacity,
his spontaneity, his rambunctiousness
I let him in

I let him in and I doctored him.
I wondered people rejected this cat....
He was so peaceful, so enjoyable,
so... lovable

But then one day
I came home to a pile of feces on my bedroom floor.
I thought nothing of it.
I cleaned it up.

The next day I came home,
he had torn the carpet in my guest bedroom.
No reason to fret, though.
No one ever stayed for a visit.

The next day I came home,
my living room was a mess.
Slashed pillows and billowing cotton
Foul urine and watery regurgitation
Broken China and torn wallpaper

I couldn't take it any longer.

Now I know why people rejected this cat.
And like all the others
I gave him the rejection foot.
I kicked love out.

Mating of the Rich and Famous

I once walked into my backyard
and found two slugs mating in a bucket
I had just learned how slugs go about mating,
or trust-I would have been rightly confused

Here hangs a long line of slime, almost a foot long
and then halfway down the thread of slime, it begins to twist, to look like a strand of DNA
I am fascinated beyond comprehension
What am I seeing, I mean I KNOW what Im seeing- But WHAT am I seeing??

These two gelatinous creatures, that I admit Ive never given much thought to before
are forming the most intricate, delicate dance of fornication
This is too much for my mind,
and so I just sat and looked on in awe...this lasted for awhile so I unfortunately wasnt there for the seperation.

Now, Im lost in the realm of procreation, its consumed in my head every time I go back and imagine those delicate slugs.

Cats. Big, small, lions, cheetahs, tigers..I believe they all mate the same way.
A female goes into estrus, and males come rolling in from far and wide. Marking every guidepost along the way, announcing his arrival.
The Lioness lays comfortably in the shade, waiting to be presented her King.
And the brawl ensues. Maybe hours or days. Screaming and slashing, boasting and threatening.
And finally when the lesser males are too worn out, too ashamed, given up, deflated...
The big man with all the prowess grabs his woman with his teeth, mounting her, her resisting..testing if she approves.
They are loud and vicious when they finally get down to it. And persistent.
Days go by, they barely eat, they are barely concious of their surroundings, hormones driving them.
They mate, they rest, they fight, they mate, they rest.
And then its over just like nothing ever happened. And shes left alone to gestate the next generation.

Birds. Birds vary...dogs and cats can be predictable when it comes to making babies.
But birds have different rules. Alot of birds mate for life and are monogomous...better than humans at it too.
Swans are particularly faithful, and heartbroken when their mates die.
There is a type of male bird that will spend hours upon hours building elaborate, beautiful nests,
collecting pretty, colorful things...making a comfortable space to get it on with his lady.
And then the females browse the different nests looking for the perfect living space for a very important event.
Some birds dance, they show off every beautiful move they have to earn the heart and eggs of a woman.
And we all know peacocks. The males are burdened with being beautiful, trying to catch a pretty birds eye. Quite opposite of us peoples, huh?

I could go on...but just a few more points on procreation.
Penguins, males keeping the eggs, almost starving to death to make sure they hatch.
Crocodiles burying their eggs just offshore, and just waiting to take out predators looking for yummy croc eggs.
Octopi will do some craziness where the female starves herself to death to make sure her young hatch alive.
Male seahorses defying everything we know about life, carry the babies....if they can, why...??
Orcas will nurse for up to 5 years, even after another calf has been born. The females never leave the family.
Female hyenas have a 7 inch clitoris which they give birth out of, Im grateful to not be a hyena.
The strongest, largest shark in the womb will cannibalize its siblings. Survival of the fittest.

So now Humans.
We have hormones like all the other animals, we act on them, we procreate.
But its almost as if we do this slyly. Not everyone obviously-not aimed at people fighting to have a child.
We say were making love, connecting, feeling. But how much is truly lust, hormones and instinct?
We have similarities of all animals in our mating rituals, whether babies are in mind or not.
Men act tough, or try to look so slick. Women flirt and dance and wear bright shiny objects, like shes trying to lure a magpie not a partner.
And we have our fights, we get vicious and physical, we fight and we penetrate, fight and penetrate.
And then almost always someone walks away.

I always come back to the slugs.
Where there seems to be no pretension, no need for competition.
I could be so completly wrong about so many things.
But those slugs just seem to be doing something right.

The Cat, The Cross And Open Tomb

There’s an obscure legend: that a snow-white cat climbed the cross to gently lick the wounds in Yeshua’s feet and climbing higher, the bruised, bleeding flesh of his left hand, then took up his vigil on Yeshua’s shoulder with his flank facing Yeshua's left cheek, and in his agony, the last thing Yeshua heard was the comforting, purring murmur of his mourner before he yielded up his spirit, surrendering his head to the warm, furry bosom of the greatest kindness he’d ever known.

Darkness crossed the land and the cat had disappeared, where, no one knew, though no one noticed him waiting atop the stone before the tomb when Yeshua came forth to greet that morning, and the first living One to touch him wasn’t Doubting Thomas but a purring, pure-white cat rubbing against Yeshua’s leg…

… the legend also says that his name was Iannos (John The Beloved).

Beloved Companions -part 5-

A couple weeks before her fourteenth birthday, We knew something was wrong Peanut, who loved to eat above all else, suddenly turned down food To make it worse she was having trouble breathing I had urged my dad that we had to take her to the pet hospital, and he agreed At the hospital, when they told us what was wrong, I could see the look in my dad’s face Even I knew, it was her time We all got to say our final goodbyes, Held her paw, and stayed with her as she drifted to sleep Her passing had hit us so hard, like a huge weight had fallen onto us I kept asking myself, over and over again, “why did she have to go?” We all thought she was gone forever, And tears of sadness had stuck with us for a while Then a strong realization came over us, Peanut was not gone, She would always be with us Tears of sadness soon became tears of happiness When we learned about the Rainbow Bridge Hearing that touching story, We all knew Peanut would forever be in our minds and our hearts If Peanut is waiting on the other side of that Rainbow Bridge, Then I look forward to the day when we cross that bridge and can be with her again Dedicated to Peanut In our memories, The pets that have passed will always remain We realize upon having them That they turn out to be something more- A loving companion, a protector, And most of all, a friend Someone who will always be there for you And understands, One who gives you a shoulder to cry on, A creature subtly unassuming, Who will simply listen.. There is a connection with our pets That is impossible to break And when there comes a time to say goodbye, That connection will help us continue on We never want them to leave, But all of us know that nothing lasts forever But the effect they leave on you And the love you have for them does

A CAT CALLED SNOWBRIGHT

Poor kitten with sad eyes and drooping legs, almost lifeless,
hanging from a long hook: who could have done such
a terrible thing to a pet that needs kindness?
How can someone threat a cat with much
wickedness and not feel the evil touch?

Your useless meow will not be heard by no one,
the collar is too tight and it might choke you to death;
only the one who has hung you up there, to suffer alone,
can take you down to end the misery by restoring your breath...
footsteps approach, it's not her! But hang in there, kids laugh!

Their faces turn pale as they get closer, but their little hearts seem to be fainting
upon discovering the kitten so miserable and they scream gripped by fear,
"Snowbright, not now...hang on life, we are coming; Snowbright, we are coming! "
Oh, finally the breathless kitten looks down as she is welcomed by a frantic cheer!
Hasn't anyone heard a moaning cat hanging by a hook, and not lift a ear?

Who I Seek

Who I Seek

When O'Henry our cat is one who I seek
We can always tell by his variable squeak
Which he does instead of going meow
Thought of it himself from out of the blue.

Now O'Henry when we are often seeking
Look forward to hearing his horrible squeaking
Likes licking body so off things won't fall
That turn out becoming a big hairball.

Is always highly attentive as he nears
Seeing his stuck up and pointed ears
Wiggle back and forth in every direction
Can cats actually have a lose connection?

The Cat

 He's a silent hunter,
with a murderous heart,
and he doesn't care,
what he tears apart,
he is very independant,
and cunning to,
and if your his prey,
then you are through,
he has a ravinish blood lust,
that he can't contain,
and if he don't kill,
he'll go insane,
he may seem like a sweet little kitty,
but trust me people,
he is witty,
don't let those purrs,
and cuddles fool,
he has many concealed weapons,
he'll use as a tool,
he has needle sharp teeth,
and 5 dagger claws,
on each and everyone,
of his cute little paws.

Felix and Trix

Felix and Trix

There once was a cat named, Felix
With kindness, he covered his heart.
He had so much fun in the sun at day's start.
That he almost forgot about Trix.

Tuxedo sparkling, black trimmed in white
‘Twas the attire that he wore every day…
So handsome was he when he started to play.
That not one cat or kitten had fright.

His charisma and charm dealt them no harm.
Nor to the squirrel named, Trix, he loved her.
Mesmerized, was she by his gentle soft purr.
That she climbed down the tree on the farm.

In front of his face was her eating-place.
And he purred while she ate and he lay.
So thus it has been from then to this day.
Felix purrs, as he watches Trix's face.

Love

When the wind blows,
I see the depths of your soul.
When the wind blows,
i can see your beauty.

As the sun comes up,
Your face lights up.
As the moon goes down,
My world turns upside down.

When the clouds spread,
I can see the beauty in you.
When the clouds form together,
Our love will be forever.

When the moon shines,
Our love is divine.
When the stars are lit,
Your face is lit too.

As the blades of a saw grind,
Our love will soon be combined.
As i put the key to start our love,
It says access denied.

Did the dog and cat fight,
Or did they play.
Did the cat and does play,
Or did the hide from each other all day.

Does your inner soul have love,
Or does it have kindness.
Does your outer soul have beauty,
Or does it have richness.

When i first learned my ABC's,
I first spelled your name.
When i first learned how to talk,
I first said your name.

As the soccer player kicks the ball,
Our love will never fall.
As the basketball player bounces the ball,
Our love will always stand tall.

When we are together,
Our love will last forever.
When we are apart,
I will still love you with all my heart.

I will lock the door,
As quick as I can lock my heart.
I will stop the car,
As quick it can go.

As the wheels of a car turn,
My heart starts to burn.
As the turbo kicks on,
Our love has only just begun.

When the sound of kids comes to my mind,
I know our love will now combined.
When the people tell me that you love me,
I want to say i love you too.

Now that were all friends,
Our love is good.
Now that were friends,
Our love will never be split again.

Now that our love is combined,
I will never hear access denied.
Now that were together,
We will be together forever.

When your tears come down,
I will wipe them of your face.
When I see a pile,
I can see your face with a smile.

When the water washes up,
Our love is now going to start.
When the wave crashes down,
I can see you frown.

Now that the story is over,
Our love will never be lowered.
Now that the love is finished,
Our love will never be extinguished.

No one can split us up,
We will just never stop.
No one can be with either of us,
Because were always going to be.

Many see us together forever,
Some see us broke up and not together.
Many see us in the future,
Some see us on an adventure.

Destiny

This may come as a surprise to quite a few
But if you're a pet lover it won't to you
This sweet soul watched over my mom In her final days
She brought her comfort and warmth In so many way's
She's not a doctor or nurse she's not any of that
Her name is Destiny my little white cat
Very sensitive and smart
Small of body but big of heart
This may seem hard to believe
She knew when mom had pain to relieve
Often she knew it long before us
She would try to tell us by making a fuss
When she knew that mom was going to have a bad day
She would not leave her room by her side she would stay
Some religions call them familiar's they're considered a treasure
They see between worlds with a love beyond measure
So when you get old and your days are coming to an end
Rest assured you'll be loved By your little four legged friend

Poem 3 love

When a soul is touched by love
A smile with watering eyes appears
Surfacing from the beauty from whence it is made of
Thus creating a joy that lives within our tears

When a heart is touched by love
Suddenly all of its chambers begin to open wide
Embracing the presence of their beloved
Allowing a precious feeling to come inside

When the eyes are touched by love
A ray of sparkle is seen in a warm comforting light
A light of spectrum one finds when entering heaven above
Only to have touched a piece of heaven upon an earthly sight

When our ears are touched by love
We hear a melody from a voice we heard once before
A song in trance that echoes a sound we only dreamed of
From a soul mate we have always tried to look for

So you see when we are touched by love
Suddenly the life within you begins to bloom
A heart is again opened inviting the beauty of-
What love gives to a life once filled with gloom…

The face of broken shadows

No more lies, no more broken promises
Each false word directed at me, just strips me of yet more apathy
Keep you your deceitful smiles and fictitious kisses
And just stay away from me, you’re nothing but a predator you see

The rage, it builds up deep within
Stalk the dark like a cat each night, dripping with a voracious appetite
But there is no way you're getting under my skin
Your egocentric wallowing in delight, is about to end abruptly tonight

The face of broken shadows stalks the ground
Now I don’t worry about life any more, now this quiet cat finds its roar
Tomorrow is the hunt for a life profound
You pathetic mewing I will choose to ignore, for now I am free forever more

Rosie

Rosie

She bounced into my life like sunshine on four legs
Chasing paper balls and toying with clothes pegs,
Blooming with vitality and purrfect happiness
She keeps me entertained for hours with her playfulness.

My love for my sweet Rosie is as infinite as the stars,
As great as the distance is from here to planet Mars,
Her bright green eyes convey to me her little every wish
Which usually refers to something tasty in a dish.

On days when all my problems strive to weigh me down,
Rosie leaps upon my knee and banishes my frown,
How could I not be jovial with such a friend as this?
She fills my time with pleasure and I reward her with a kiss.

I love each wiry whisker upon her little velvet face,
Her lynx like ears, soft deep purrs and total flawless grace.
My life is so much brighter with this furry beaming light
Who ends my day with harmony when Rosie sleeps with me at night.

Break-in Upper as Thought

The cat disrupt her thinkable moments, by
attention thou needed. She took the torso

and kept it hold from the breast by
all used ways, and kept her stand for

Then! — put-down above rugs in blue
as faithful cat roommate, busing in breach

And ratified herself, at joined her kitchen
                     Baking feed.
Now by! Blank went, her young mind

And freed from images, in stages love —
In head a new channel, while, the nowadays.

Little prince

His royal bloodline
can be traced
to the temples and
pyramids of Egypt

Killer instinct
fully intact,
but no longer
required

Regal bearing
reflected
in every
movement

He sits nobly now,
on this humble
throne of pine
and carpet

Waiting for his
master to groom
his mane and
serve his dinner

Cats

My cats are soft, my cats are sweet,
my cats prefer cat food to eat.
We use meows to have our talks.
They do their business in their box.
I love my cats because they're great,
they're cats that purr and like to play
though sometimes their choice toys are feet
under the covers fast asleep
and yet they pounce and wake me up
which can be very obnoxious
though sometimes I wake up and see
they're snuggled by my head asleep
and that is great and very cute,
these cats are friends, their friendship's true.
They're brothers so they cuddle 'till
one notices the other's tail
and then attacks and then they play
and keep me awake until day
breaks and I get up and go feed
them bowls of cat food, which they need
to eat because they have to live
and take all the love I can give
because I really love my cats
and put them on my head like hats.

In my head and In reality

I know a place where many people would like to visit but cant. I know a place where a lot
of people don’t know I go. I go to this place when no one can get a hold of me. This place
is full of music, it got vivid bright colors. The music plays all the time. I have a
husband with no face and kids with no faces. But lately those faces are blurry. Getting
clearer, at least for the husband it does. The colors though, bright and beautiful, show
all the meaning in this place I go to. The blue so blue that its bluer than the ocean.
Bluer than my eyes and yours as well. The house is built just to my liking. The cat walks
by and looks up at me and meows. The dog barks in the back ground, the fish makes bubbles,
and the kids giggle in the other room. I’m in the kitchen cleaning and making dinner while
I hear the TV on in the living room and he’s playing a game while talking to the giggling
kids. I walk in there to see the colors on the screen of the computer as beautiful the
ones I see. The red of the shirt he is wear and the blonde of his hair. The giggle that
pierces my thoughts and I turn to see the little girl all full of joy. The couch ruby red
just like the ruby I wear around the neck. The diamond on my finger is shinier that I've
ever seen. The earrings in my ears dangle around my neck. Then the cry of the little boy
needing his diaper changed laying on the dark emerald green blanket with the yellow
giraffe on it. In walks the sandiest of brown and white dogs with so much energy that her
face looks like its almost smiling. The cat comes in from the other door and rubs
affectionately on the little girl whose laugh punctured my thoughts just moments before. I
look back at the little boy on the couch whose cries now have punctured these thoughts. I
turn and walk over to him. I pick him up and say why you crying my little man. His tears
fade and a smile comes to his face. In this place I'm finally me and I'm finally happy
again. This is my place and no one can take it from me.

Love's, Kiss Of Lucidity

Dreams idyllic so weaved....

The sun yet to rise amid the still of an ancients early morn ~

With a train passing by upon this the first day in another falls arrival

And, a little black cat befriended as of late inching nearer now

Hoping for a moment in kindness, a morsel of food, a stroke aneath warmth

Creation touching creation; lucidity; kisses of love....

Gazing into my beautiful Fathers eyes and all which becomes as light ~

Deep inside sidereals mirrored reflection that I find, heavens ever reaching

To caress these spirits and bless their heart; this heart

Searching for the key in this breath to be free ~ As a baby doe

Listens closely unto the hunters explaining just why it is that

They hunt to stock in craft to slay, their innocent precious loved ones?!

While off the little cat goes amid the great unknown yet known; always

Knowing; as the sun makes its way to greet the life of a new borne day

Anointing these eyes and spirits and hearts and souls so weaved ~

Ancient; that they may find as a dream this key within, a mirrors reflection....

SURVIVING IN THE CITY

                Surviving in the city

The dog stood on the corner, looking for the cat.
The cat was at the Warf side, behind a fishing vat.

The dog was known as Rusty, an Irish setter bread.
The cat was known as Sylvester, he finds what people need.
The dog needed him a playmate, so he could plant some seeds.
For that the cat demanded meat so fresh, that it simply bleeds.

The dog had marked a hydrant, because the dog was late.
He also do-doed on a lawn that led to someone’s gate.

The cat found that disgusting but Rusty paid his price
So he watched for lady midnight, for she was built real nice.
Lady midnight came up prancing, her tail all in a swish.
He took her for some meatballs, Midnights favorite dish.

Sylvester ran it down, what Rusty had paid for
Her cut would come right off the top, and there was nothing more.

Lady M agreed that she was in that day.
She took a bite then licked her lips and they were on there way.
When Rusty meet with Midnight, she wouldn’t take no sass
If he would get to close, she swished her hips and knocked him on hiss ass.

When Rusty got his chance, he was off before he’s in.
She winked at sly and said to rusty, I hope we meet again.

Everyone was happy, even Rusty wasn’t sad.
The edge he had was ended and he didn’t feel so bad.
Now ain’t that oh so pretty, their life there in the city.
Where Sly and Lady Midnight, finger popped to do-wah-ditty.

Piper Gets A Home

Once upon a time
there was a pup named Piper.
She was being adopted
and hoped her family would like her.

The little girl squealed
when she saw the small pup
Piper’s eyes got big
when the girl scooped her up.

In her new house
Piper looked around
She saw a bowl, a bone
and a toy on the ground.

She sniffed the air
and what a sweet smell.
In the kitchen mom was cooking
it was stew, she could tell.

Mmm Mmm Mmm
how Piper loved to eat stew
and into the kitchen
so fast Piper flew.

With one giant leap
she was on top of the counter.
The cat next to her hissed
and sauntered around her.

She was almost in reach.
She was almost there.
One unfortunate step
and the stew flew in the air.

Down went the pot
with a clang on the floor.
The cat jumped to the window
and Piper to the door.

When the door swung open,
Piper came to a halt.
The girl looked down at the pup
with no blame or no fault.

She picked up her puppy
and walked to the cat.
“You’re a bad little kitty
to make a mess like that.”

The cat looked at the girl
with his eyes open wide.
Then he looked at his enemy
she held by her side.

“I will get you.” he thought
as she walked from the room.
The pup just smiled
and stuck out her tongue.

Aunty Curly and Tom

Aunty Curly was knitting a scarf,
She opened a book and wrote it half,
A mouse was running under book rack,
A cat was after on the same track.

They never bothered someone is in the hall,
They were playing as a player with a ball.
A dog was sleeping on a sofa chair,
A cat waits for him when mouse goes there.

She felt anger when mouse turned this time,
Aunty was murmuring a poem in rhyme.
She heard a noise something was smashed,
Porcelain was on the ground and it was cracked.

She bought it last week that was so nice,
A thing was scattered on the floor that was rice,
A container was lying on a one side,
A lid was hiding a lampshade’s behind.

But a dog was still watching laid his head,
He hasn’t noticed anything as he was dead.
Aunty was annoyed she pushed the cat out,
When she came back she also has a shout.

You are lazy dog why did you n’t stop them?
You are mastermind you did that scam.
Get out from the chair don’t cry for food,
I always bothered you disturbed my mood.

I was willing to finish my scarf very soon,
I hope to wear in a party to night’s moon.
You lost my temper I shall punish you,
Don’t come back it’ll punish you if came through.

Why did you co-operate a cat with a mouse?
Who will pay the fine if you don’t pay my loss?
She brought a brush and cleared all mist,
A Chair was empty nobody was on its rest.

She received a letter council was on raid,
Keeping the entire stray dog in a street laid.
She was terrified and jumped out in the street,
She didn’t saw her Dog that was on a beat.

She rushedly closed the door and ran after him,
Dog was in the park after the food has no blame.
When she called Tom where are you?
Dog didn’t listen to her and walked on his crew.

Aunty was after him he stopped on a pool,
The lads were catching fishes it was very cool.
She again asked Tom come with me to home,
You are silly Dog why you are tearing Tom.

She embraced him and came back home,
She cleaned his seat and put new foam.
You are my family member don’t feel shame,
I am getting old that’s why is my blame.

I am on pension and can’t walk a long,
You need to supervise when happens wrong.
I also banished the cat but she is normal,
You always mind whatever it is formal.

Trade

I look at your face, and I see:
A smile and a shy.
A girl and a grin.

I look at your hair, and I see:
A wave and a wish.
A cat and a crest.

I look in your eyes, and I see:
A twinkle and a tear.
A sparkle and a sad.

I look for your love, and I see:
Afraid and a friend.
A trade and a trend.

I look at your life, and I see:
A laugh and alone,
And a boy who's your own.

I look at my face, and I see:
A smile and a grin.
A girl and I'm shy.

I look at the sea, and I hear:
A wave and a crest.
A cat and a wish.

I look through my eyes, and I see:
A twinkle in the sand.
A sparkle in a tear.

I look for your love, and I seem
Afraid of a friend.
I trade for amends.

I live for your look, and I see:
A laugh on your own,
And a boy who's alone.

Pussy Cat

Pussy Cat

Sitting there all lazy the little furry pussy cat
purrs with happiness.
Her coat is a collage of black, white and browns
all a ball of fur.
She has just had her tuna
so it’s now lazy time all night long.
