Dead men tell no tails, or so the winds of
Destiny’s say.
On judgment hill from on high,
Voices do echo downwards, as the
Noose does sway, back and forth, on the
Hangman's tree.
These gallows, of oaken branches, act as tethers,
Shackles, holding the forsaken, souls prisoner.
Ghost phantoms cling, to it's rotten limbs,
That break beneath times endless rampage.
Regrets fallen horsemen, of the old west,
Stand guard, sentinels on horse back,
Wearing a tarnished tin star.
God's law keepers, are branded, sworn,
By their honor, to protect even after death,
The gates of heaven, from this spawn of hell.
Beware evil desperadoes, no mercy will
This the lord's posses show unto you,
For these riders bare a different mark.
A silver cross of justice, given by
The Almighty’s hand himself.
Say thy prayers, all lawless men,
For on this day, does the rope tighten,
Around your neck, there is no reprieve,
No salvation for evils deceit.
Hell bound are thou, the devils breed.
But beware, there is no escape,
From this grave site.
At dawns first light, as it spreads
 Across the western horizon.
Know that yee, are one of many spirits
Doomed, to be weaved within the
Tangled limbs, called the hang
Mans tree.

Of nice
Of growing
Of grass and knowing
Of trees and green things
Of TRESSES that flow.
Of knowledge that's both of wisdom and growth

That some existances are known of wisdom are meant for the mind and
Other KNOWING was meant for a different kind. There is a knowing we
Do not understand.

Being of feeling
Being of KINGS when
Being is knowing
Being is being is being
Being have more than meaning
Being is thinking

Real thinking is linked in to those who have light of life is right.
Being is beginning LOOK THERE beginning has begun. Of clear CONSCIOUSNESS.
Open books have knowledge. Open the mind obtain wisdom.

Jesus is the Divine Reason for Glorious Christmas Season

I wondered.. What’s Christmas tree for?
What does a Tree have to do with Christmas anyways?
Why should we have a Christmas tree?
I don't have a tree-I mean really-what’s point?
I mean- yes-Trees are Beautiful
(yes-Tree for Santa-put presents under for children)

But What??? I mean
What is the True meaning?
As I asked.. my Lord in prayer
This is what My Lord revealed unto me

All Eternal Life shall be given through Jesus Christ

Mountain Solitude

In solitude of the edge of day, there is a crimson blush along the hills

And a world switches direction, if to tumble into eternity

Where shadows of the mountains, high, hover silently, over asphalt roads,.....
bend and curl, and morph their shapes... to follow curves of earth

When the shadow of a lonely pine becomes longer,.......
than ever the tree was tall

When my own silhouette, so dark and stretched, and long,......
seems to walk between earth and sky

In utter harmony at end of day, my arms seem longer,...
long enough,... to reach the evening star

Standing straight and tall, I am happy among my next of kin
Graceful and gracious, accepting and at one with nature
The gentle whisper of the wind is music in our midst
A cornucopia of chirping sounds you’ll hear from the birds.

Do you ever wonder how I have grown at last
For it was only six weeks ago that I was not on this spot
Yet it would seem that right before your very eyes
I grew so fast, that even after just a night you get surprised.

My story cannot be told without mentioning the farmer
Who day after day, year after year for five straight years
Never gave up on me, a testimony of perseverance and trust
and hope and faith in One Almighty and the power of a dream.

Knowing the value of patience, he waited and cared for me
oh so tenderly…never gave up on me that I dared ever not
conceive of disappointing him, so while he gave my needs
every day, I did what I had to do. I grew.

Not above but underneath the ground, where no one can see,
to build that inner strength, deeply rooted in my seed
that one day when the right time came on the fifth year
I literally just shot off the ground. Miracles do abound.

I am ever giving. I give food to the hungry, a shelter
for the homeless...even a bed, a seat and the fence
I provide clothing and more. It is my nature to give.
From my innermost being I provide freshness in the air.

Strong and resilient, I am not cowed by storms
They give their all to topple me from where I stand
yet I hold my ground. I may bend and sway for the wind
but after a while I stand straight again, not losing my grip.

I learned to accept my weakness and be proud of my strength
An image of one who is calm, I am at peace with myself.

"Evil Twin"

"Spiritual Narrative"

After life began, appeared “Evil Twin” mind’s obvious sin
‘Evil’ naught of nothing, using the power of love’s “something”
Giving rise to evil self, far to left, image of self
Love created, but mind deviated, it’s love abated

Love’s logic created Soul, but I am so bold, left heart’s gold
Lost in a wilderness mind, became the Soul of evil twin
Lost in it’s philosophies, mind’s logic of complexities
Has philosophically debated, Love that created

Saying, ‘how can this Love be the reality of me
I shall exalt above, this creation of heaven’s Love’
But crucifixion of mind regains Love’s self in time
As the mind is refined, Soul is re-aligned, with Love’s vine

Man’s discoveries, pieces of the recoveries, of true self
As pieces of the mind crucified, must learn to abide
From Love light’s truth cannot hide, reality has not lied
Being one with reality, God true technicality
Evil self is naught, except, in a mind of worldly thoughts
Live of your mind if your will, create life’s bitter pill
Your bitter pill will not spill, into Sacred Heart’s will
This proverb is proverbial, `Tis non swerve able

Within one’s love, one must abide, for on death’s cross it was tried
Also mind must abide, for on the cross was proven it lied
Death and life was set before, human mind to explore
To show evil twin, death’s sin, just no way for death to win

Make a tree good or make a tree evil, for is by man’s choice
Lie on God if your will, lie `Tis your own bitter pill’
`Tis by your own choice, by your own voice, `Good or Evil’
Death failed, life’s tree stands still, on yonder hill, alive and well

I have dropped my pains on pages of poems,
the ink in my pen treasures my groans, the
quill is my sword, with edges sharp enough
to sculpt the perfect picture, the quill is the
only thing you got when those devils try to
get ya, the only warmth when those men or
women forget ya, I bet ya a million bucks
and yes it sucks, but poetry is more than
just writing, its healing, remedy of feeling,
dealing with the worst of you, quenched the
thirst of you, a doctor or a nurse to you,
sometimes you get delusions and think it
gave birth to you, as it pours on its immensity
of worth on you, that's what enchanting words
will do.

One day I gave poe to a dying tree
now it has grown it looks fine to me, boy oh
boy the tree said to me, if it wasn't for your
poe in tree another day I wouldn't have seen,
but now I have STRONG roots running below
city's a million feet strong and a billion feet
long and I can stand to bear the blues jay on
my branches, with songs all day long, I wrote his
song it went like this poe in tree poe in tree gave
ETERNAL bliss to thee, oh by the way, I am
the tree saved by poe in tree poetry poetry

Tree, Roots and the Light

Tree Roots and the Light

The tall Tree was Flying, its leaves high in the sky,

Trying to go beyond the flying kites, towards the light,

Its roots were trying to penetrate the soil,

Heading in the deep darkness, it kept moving without a shine.

Higher its branches touched the Crown of mirth,

Touching the lofty heights of light and the sky,

Its leaves and branches were flying and dancing,

In the joy of touching Light and those untouched, heights.

Some where, not far beyond the skies, lives dearest of our heart and soul,

I saw the Tree kept moving towards that One, it always adored,

While its beloved roots too, were silently busy in supporting,

Without which, the Tree can never even stand to touch the lofty scores.

I thought and wondered, which one contributes more,

In touching the limitless, lofty heights and the glow of the sky,

The stem, which is blessed to touch the sky, or the roots that resembles,

A true beloved without which, the stem even can not stand for a while.

The Tall tree was standing before me, unfolding its love towards the Sky,

With a high and prideful head in the sky, the tree was heading towards the glow,

Far away from its beloved roots, to feel the serene touch in the limitless sky,

Going a little closer to that Glow, which we adore and love and call Almighty.

Love Is Who You Are ( NOT, Just Something You Do ) Part 2

The mind has become a problem,
This ghost and goblin,
Throughout Love’s land!

The mind’s imagination,
Took over,
Love’s invitation,
By a tree of divided information!
It’s like, being love,
But having a relation,
With life and death information!

There was a tree of strife,
Placed in the midst of love’s life,
For purpose of decision,
That caused the house of division!

But a decision was given, to twiddle dee,
For love you see,
Is what the mind’s twiddle dee, be!
But he must see,
By experience, what is best to be,
For the sot has forgotten,
His beloved soul with his cotton,
Love’s seed of the begotten!

For, for the mind to be,
He must truly see,
The love he be!
For love already knows,
As the mind only blows,
What love’s life is yet to learn!
For love created the life,
That mind turned to strife!

With mind being only a part to life,
Let no man deceive you with vain words,
The old man needs a good purge,
Then his life would surge,
With a holy urge,
to be the love of his life,
Not a goblin of strife!

We are love,
From the inside,
What mind tries to hide,
On the outside!

God the I am is love,
From above,
The same as I am inside,
My, I am is love!
But what I be,
Sometimes is twiddle dee,
Of the mind on the outside,
The real me, I try to hid!
Like Adam and Eve,
With the fig leaves!

We must learn to confide,
On the inside,
By the outside,
To be the love that we are,
From the inside,

As night creeps in

Night creeps in

How does one put it into words?
This beauty all around
This little camp in Pemberton
Such bliss there, I have found
I stand outside this tiny Chalet
Surrounded by green trees
As I melt into the song of life
And feel sweet mystery

I do not know the names of all
These trees that do surround me
The furthest ones be Karri trees
So vast and tall they be
As the shadows shade them into darkness
And fill them with such power
Then closer be a wattle tree
All filled with yellow flowers.

To see these trees dance on the breeze
Is a pleasure to the eye
As Sheep feed on the lush green grass
The day begins to die
The night time creeps on up to me
And birds sing goodnight songs
As I feel that here in Pemberton
My heart it does belong.

" Logic? "

To every thing there is a season,
A time to bring the reasoning,
Higher logic` of heart’s project,
Into view, for the mind to review,

For some say the mind` is the only logic,
Leaving love’s heart without a project,

This mistake, takes the cake,
From this illusion` humanity must awake,

For tis the season` for higher reasoning,
And this will we do, as through God we pursue,

Love’s higher logic` God’s higher project,
An undertaking` of re-awakening,
A mind asleep, by it’s peep,

God’s Logic; the cosmic of higher mind’s project,......................................(Isaiah 55:8-9)
Love’s Faith; built on higher logic,..............................................(Hebrews 11:1-3 & 5-6)
Not on humanity’s` earthly minded projects,
For it will always try to dodge it,
By lower logic,
Actually` enough said, the lower mind level logic` is dead,.......................(Genesis 2:16-17)

While actually, God’s higher logic, the cosmic mind’s project, did not dodge it,
Respect of love` gave the choice to man, the level of plan,
By level of chosen logic, man chose his own project,
By tree of life, or tree of strife,
Would it be life, by tree of life,
Or death’s tree, of the mind’s strife,
The heart's, sacred start,
Or mind’s depart, from it’s heart,

Now you know the rest of the story, life’s glory,
For death was impaled, the stake did not fail, love swelled,...............(Colossians 2:13-14)
Drawing us all by love, above,
The logic of death,
That death` the mind did bequeathed,
Leave the dead dogs, lying in the grass,
For death has passed!!

Dedication; "Diogenes Zuniga " I though of your personal undying faith in Love, the higher
logic of God, who is love. All the while I was writing this, may God richly reward you with
many fruits of love's logical righteousness, for it is the true riches of heaven. Stay logical, in
love, my brother. Sincerely, Moses

THE HUMBLE CATHEDRAL In the glaring eyes of the sun dressed thin in lush green moss, my shady sky-high trunk compeer dark brown wrinkled arms spreading free my slender fingers of verdant hue. They swing, swing in quiet seesaws attune to the cradling light of July breeze. Pleased and appeased, I puff and puff: oxygen dancing slow with other gas. The blowing winds from the east, The heaven tears cascading down, they bathe and cleansed me but! They too disturb causing murmurs and rustles during my deep sleep... Fall approaches, smell of despair hangs, it pose danger making my leaves sad. I began to weep as they slowly tumble, tumbling below, leaving me naked. Facing later the harsh bites of cold, my arms turned brittle from right to left, hearing them creak and break. Thankfully, my feet safe beneath the ground. I stood firm together with my friends, unafraid of the ice but so scared of humans carrying a sharp ax. ______________________________________ 9:32 pm, August 26, 2015

The Gift

The tree outside the window was bare,
its branches black thrust through the air,
like a nightmare in daylight lingers,
its branches resembled evil fingers.

The sky behind was stony gray,
it looked like it might rain that day,
I briefly wondered why I'd woke,
sat up in bed and lit a smoke.

So quiet is it by the lake!
My ears felt hollow, began to ache,
a city girl, I'm used to sound,
the ambient noise of a busy town.

What if I'd turned the TV on,
would the vacuum inside the room be gone?
The cat, I noted, was fast asleep,
a lump beneath the quilts and sheet.

I glanced again at the blank TV,
then looked once more at the skeletal tree,
it seemed to sigh as if forlorn,
just waiting for Spring to be reborn.

For a moment, I just sat and stared,
the sky so gray, the tree so bare,
stark silhouette of black on gray,
the tomb-like silence where I lay.

These turned my mind to darker things,
my boring job, the fatigue it brings,
scattered off-days wasted sleeping,
life-force through my fingers seeping.

Sleep all day and work all night,
wonder if there's an end in sight,
keep a brave face so they won't see
how this schedule's killing me.

Just then I saw a flash of red,
though depressed, I raised my head,
A cardinal sat and cocked his head,
the black, the gray, the brilliant red.

I see the beauty in the starkness,
a flash of hope among the darkness,
this perfect scene a gift to me,
the genius, its simplicity.

And as I felt my depression lift,
God granted me another gift.
He knew just how to ease my woes,
before my eyes, it began to snow.

It's snowed so rarely in my life,
each memory's sharper than a knife,
the cardinal flutters in the tree,
and shakes me from my reverie.

The magic of life is quiet and subtle,
the bud of a rose, a mirror-like puddle,
the magic is there if you let yourself see,
like the snow swirling 'round the bird in the tree.

If I were a tree...

If I were a tree,
I would gander at thee,
whose roots are all asunder.

Your senses are weak,
for although you can speak,
my meaning is much less a blunder.

Your eyes must be shut,
for although you can strut,
you only see to plunder.

If only you knew,
how lucky you few,
whose roots are all asunder.

If I were a tree,
I would say unto thee,
do not wish to be me.

For all the world is yours to choose
where to plant your roots.

Humble tree

The humble tree standing strong,
its hands rooted deeply and wild beneath the earth,
Defeating the powerful full winds,
Standing strong and tall,

Holding its chin to the sky.
Never looking down for a moment.
Wrestling with the changing emotions of the seasons.
Holding the same long lasting position,

though its leaves may be withered.
It is refuge to the singing birds of the mourning
and its persevering stand still seen in the shadows of the night.
Tree of old ages share your bark of strong hold with me.

Solomon Mahlangu: My Blood will Nourish the Tree that will Bear the Fruits of Freedom

(special thanks to a friend who shared this tribute to Solomon Mahlangu)

Solomon Mahlangu: My Blood will Nourish the Tree that will Bear the Fruits of Freedom:

Solomon Mahlangu was trained as an MK soldier with a view to later rejoining the struggle in the country.

He left South Africa after the Soweto Uprising of 1976 when he was 19 years old, and was later chosen to be part of an elite force to return to South Africa to carry out a mission commemorating the June 16th 1976 Soweto student uprising.

After entering South Africa through Swaziland and meeting his fellow comrades in Duduza, on the East Rand (east of Johannesburg), they were accosted by the police in Goch Street in Johannesburg.

In the ensuing gun battle two civilians were killed and two were injured, and Mahlangu and Motloung were captured while acting as decoys so that the other comrade could go and report to the MK leadership.

Motloung was brutally assaulted by the police to a point that he suffered brain damage and was unfit to stand trial, resulting in Mahlangu facing trial alone.

He was charged with two counts of murder and several charges under the Terrorism Act, to which he pleaded not guilty.

Though the judge accepted that Motloung was responsible for the killings, common purpose was argued and Mahlangu was found guilty on two counts of murder and other charges under the Terrorism Act.

On 15 June 1978 Solomon Mahlangu was refused leave to appeal his sentence by the Rand Supreme Court, and on 24 July 1978 he was refused again in the Bloemfontein Appeal Court.

Although various governments, the United Nations, International Organizations, groups and prominent individuals attempted to intercede on his behalf, Mahlangu awaited his execution in Pretoria Central Prison, and was hanged on 6 April 1979.

His hanging provoked international protest and condemnation of South Africa and Apartheid.

In fear of crowd reaction at the funeral the police decided to bury Mahlangu in Atteridgeville in Pretoria.

On 6 April 1993 he was re-interred at the Mamelodi Cemetery, where a plaque states his last words:

‘My blood will nourish the tree that will bear the fruits of freedom.

Tell my people that I love them.

They must continue the fight.’

Mahlangu died for a cause!

The Struggle Continues…

Bamboo Tree

Bamboo Tree

26 February 2012

Evergreen tree-like green herbage
Abounding woody stems travelling upwards
In a flick, moments-of-memory refuse to cede
At the sound of rustling leaves, pay off a reverie

Pliant in face of neither storms nor monsoons
It just sways and bends but never lose its elegance
Misty outside and leafing out to commune
Submissive to nature’s onrush by its restless dance

As the wind blows in every direction
Unmindful are we to disregard nature’s course
God’s invitation to see and listen into its perfection
On how each sight and sound heal one’s scarce

Bamboo nodes strengthen its stem
Each step is a faint for its humble growth
Interaction – a never dying language for ecosystem
Find comfort to its shadows as a token of troth

Not built for eternity but new shoots will replace
To repeat its vow to shed green leaves to procreate
An inseparable companion to give refuge and embrace
For all passing guests finding a way to relate

A Shady Tree

I know its the summer time because of how naturally
Your beauty compliments the caress of a summer breeze
As I watch the world from beneath a shady tree
I take in the delightful comfort of everything I see
But in the same breath I am holding up my hands
Lord will you please give me back the things I no longer have
They are even more a part of me now that they are gone
As the sun falls below where the horizon is still holding on
Somewhere between the falling light and a star lit night
Is a dream that last forever and will never say goodbye
As the wind gently blows through the brush and shakes the leaves
It begins to hum a melody that I want to sing
At that very moment I smile for all the joy I have
Its so uplifting for me to see melancholy dance
Soon the morning sun will rise and capture my eyes
As I watch the hand of God paint a brand new sky
With every stroke of color I swallow all my pride
And I find a new place to dream of endless times
If I should ever get to the place I left my broken heart
Only then will I believe this brand new day will start
Again Im reminded of why my heart beats so restlessly
Only the speed of thought and my soul beneath this tree

My friends and I had midnight hide and seek
One had to stand by a tree and not peek
In my state of hiding great I was hard to find
My friends decided to just be unkind
They all got together and decided to hunt me down
I first hid in the river near my house and almost drown
When they walk close by me I silently move through the grass
It was very hard to see, but I crawled a long time and almost ran out of gas
Then I heard one say that they were going up and wait by the tree
I had an idea that made a way to make them see
A shadow that ran in the distance thinking that would be
I had my horse pull a little manikin to make them think it was me
My friends took their flashlight and shined it toward it
I thought I had them but one thing was clear they did not fall for it not a bit
They all laugh and started to call out my name
They all asked how the heck did you have time to pull that trick that was so lame
I did not answer so they kept on looking for me, but I was so quick
Some of my friends started to get really mad and tick
I was a master of doing weird things they all knew what I can do
The night was still young and the grass was collecting dew
I decided to make a distraction once again
To think of it, it would probably make the night end
My friends finally surrounded my tree house
I was quiet, so quiet, more than a mouse
I had some rope in the tree house to make my escape
To distract them I made a loud noise like an ape
The tree that my tree house was in was at least forty feet up
I had some stash in my tree house a drink or two in a cup
My final hour is about to end I did not want my friends to catch me till I got to the tree
I took the rope and tide it on a branch and pushed off and that was the key
I landed on the garage roof and sneaked my way to the tree
My friends knew me to well that they plan things before I could see
They had a fish net ready for me to step into
I thought that was kinda wise and some what like pew
The few feet by the tree there was two of my friends that was ready
Up in the tree they both jumped down and pulled me up in the net fast and steady
They thought they had won, the person had to tag me before I touch tree
She ended up having to get something to stand on to reach me
I swung my weight back and forth till I ended up touching and the game ended
My friends and I were so full of surprises and that is what the game handed

Beneath my bark is a whisper stilled in silence,
Scrolled within my rings of age, is a wish waiting
To be answered.
A timeless spark, infused engrain's of wooden pulp,
Legacies promise sense before my birth’s germination,
My special reason for existence.
Warmed by the sun’s rays, cradled by Mother Nature’s
Loving embrace, I’ve grown in the shadows of my elders,
My brethren of the forest wilds.
Tenderly a sprout grew forth, within me a secret kept
Unto myself alone, happily watching the world passes
Ideally by, as seasons changed from spring, to summer,
Yielding unto fall, then covered beneath
Blankets of chilling white.
I fear not the slicing of the human ax, or mourn
For having to leave thy native soil rich and warm,
For my life’s secret is coming true you see,
Mine inner Gift is to be a Christmas tree.
Blazing chains of sparkling lights shall grace
My branches of evergreen, as trims silvery tinsel
Hangs from my strong timbered limbs, that
Shine in the glowing warmth of this magical
Holiday called Christmas.
Crowning from above, admiration's highest branch
Lies a sacred symbol of ages eon’s long ago passed
A brilliant star of opulence, twinkling in the twilight’s
After glow of this special season.
Its eternal light weaves its mystical rays through my
Thick branches of pine, casting a shining upon the
Manjor hidden underneath, behold the greatest gift
Ever given, a simple child of the everlasting spirit.
Beneath my bark is a whisper stilled in silence,
Scrolled within my rings of age, is a wish waiting
To be answered.
A timeless spark, infused engrain's of wooden pulp,
Legacies promise sense before my birth’s germination,
My special reason for existence.

The Autumn Affect

There's something unspecific about the autumn nights
A certain shade of color that uplifts my inner child's eyes
Beside a cashmere moon Venus and Jupiter shine bright
Complimented by a sea of blinking infinite twilight
The scent of burning oak lingers in the air from home made fires
Reminiscent of a time when this man was just a child
Careless and so free to dream and any dream to live
Like feathers floating across a field carried by the wind
As a gentle breeze blows through the leaves shivering delightful gloom
Unlike flowers of springtime the disheveled autumn vibrance bloom
Leaves crackle beneath my feet along the skeleton tree path
Where I try to find my peace or a song to make me laugh
The air is so much crisper and also soothing when I breathe it in
Underneath a starry sky and brighter constellations of Heaven
Amidst the trail I pass a lovely couple holding hands
While their children run aside frolicking in a playful dance
An old man and his wife admire the view from a wooden bench
With smiles on their face as if nostalgia is still their closest friend
Its these specific autumn affects that bring me sorrows and joy
Reminding me of all theses things Ive wanted as a man since I was a little boy
Its times like these that I wish I wasn't always so alone
Because I would light an fire with my family and call it home

Like the oak tree

Like the oak tree

Have you ever thought about?
An Oak so big and strong
With all his blessed majesty
[As nature sings her song]
His branches reach unto the sky
As he strives to touch the sun
Take a look at his great growth
Now he’s a giant one.

And yet he cannot reach the sky
Unless his roots dig far
He’ll never reach too high at all
That’s just the way things are
Take a look at a bonsai tree
Then you’ll see what I mean
Compare it with the mighty oak
And see what might have been.

It’s the same with humans too
If they strive to reach within
They’re growth will reach up very high
And a song it will begin
But if they only touch the surface
[Most humans be like this]
They’ll stay small, like the Bonzai tree
That’s just the way it is.

Tree of Gratitude

God, please grant me to accept the things I cannot change.....
And when I seek you in my prayers...
I'll find your answers in the rose...
And when I cannot see beyond my nose
To see the joy in all the good
What I eat, where I sleep, who I'm with, clothes I wear...
I thank you for the sun that shines, streaming still, each morning fair
Thank you for the evening star, staring back, in solitaire
Thank you for the family near, for familiar faces, filled hearts to share
Thank you for a respite place, to return and rest, when life's not fair
Thank you for a helping hand, a faithful friend, that soothes my tears
Thank you for ability, agility, that keeps my mind aware..
Thank you for guiding me, the good advice, if doubt is there
Thank you for another chance, when careless choices bring despair
Thank you for my fervent faith, when trust and hope have disappeared

Like a garland that is given me, in gold and garnet leaves
I am grateful for what's been granted me....I am grateful for my tree...

Planting a Tree

What can a man do

To plant a seed in the ground

So strong a tree grows

Lookin' after pests
Keepin' a CLOSE eye on 'em
"Those wild animals!"

Roamin' around zoo
Searchin' for sneaky monkey
Hidin' in a tree

Zookeeper gets mad
"Where's Marty, the smartypants!?"
"He TOOK my cage keys!"

Summer Memories From The Tree of Life

Summer season was my childhood’s greatest fun time,
We played with toys out of a coconut tree which is a tree of life,
We built little houses beautifully and so high as we climbed
Like a flying trapeze on its leaves, we swung so high.

We played with toys made of coconut trees, the tree of life,
My playmates joined me in building little houses using a dull knife,
Out of its leaves and midribs, we made walls, roofs and doors,
Pretended as good cooks with its coconut shells and fruits.

My playmates joined me in building little houses using a dull knife
Pretended to live together as families with husband and wife,
I took the role of an elder sister in our little comfortable house
I combed the hair of a younger sibling with a coco midrib brush.

Pretended to live together as families with a husband and wife
Just like small neighborhood or community along the riverside
We chose one of the eldest playmates to be the group captain,
The leader of unity and cooperation in building more tents.

Just like small neighborhood or community along the riverside
We helped one another as piles of coco leaves we made as rides,
We made unique toys out of leaves and roots as much as we could
Like trumpets when blown, we covered our ears for its loud sound.

We helped one another as piles of coco leaves we made as a ride
We webbed balls, insects and other toys for a surprise to hide,
When the captain signaled to show who's the most had a reward
Then ran with our wind vanes to the beach and marched forward.

We webbed balls, insects and other toys for a surprise to hide
We played with toys out of a coconut tree which is a tree of life,
When the captain signaled us to show the most had a reward
A wonderful summer memory from a Tree of Life I've ever had!

Note: The coconut trees are considered the “Trees of Life”. They can provide almost all the things we need like shelter, clothing, foods and others. So, let us preserve coconut trees! They are very helpful but be careful because they are also risky during typhoons, LOL. There are many coconut trees in our backyard especially along the riverside connecting to the beach. These trees had added so much joy on summer time during my childhood years/graders.
