A shades poet, writing in blacks quailed ink,
Expressing emotions by a poetic pallet of diversity,
On a canvas rainbow bursting forth across the
Horizon at dawns first light.
Imaginations dream seeker, walking amongst 
The clouds, in heaven's meadows above.
Inspiration's muse, she'll never realize what
A simple comments pleasure, can give to
Lighten up someones day.
I've read eloquence's words placed upon the
Lab top screen before me, and felt tears sorrow,
Exhilaration’s heights of elevation.
Through her words of poetic thoughts placed 
Within lines.
Getting to know another person, and so now
Calling her a friend.
We the bards are becoming a rare breed, 
Unique each one of us, in our own ways,
But in retrospective similarities sharing the 
Same traits and needs.
To write, to express, and use our intense
Imaginations, to take others along with us,
In a journey beyond physical limitations,
Beyond body and mind.
She calls herself Poet Destroyer, but in 
Reality's truth, she is not destruction’s poetic
Slayer, but instead an angel of 
Compassion helping those whom need guidance.
What is the meaning of life, I've heard this
Asked many times before?
My personal opinion to this question is
To make some kind of difference in this 
To touch another's persons life in some way,
Poet Destroyer you've touched mine,
And this is my way of saying thank you.

A Rhyme In Time

It is about that time of the year…
I have lost count of my age, oh dear.
Sometimes I wonder where the time has gone,
It is has been for so, very long.

I look back and think…
Boy, time has just flown by, in a wink.
It seems like yesterday I was just born,
I don’t feel any different inside, you know.

It’s this body of mine that distracts…
It is a little slower to react.
Oh, I stubbed my toe,
Wouldn’t you know.

I fall asleep at the computer…
Pressed on top of my lap top are my fingers.
I wake up, to my surprise,
There are words of a different kind.

My sacroiliac is tight…
It must be from sitting up all night.
Half way asleep in my recliner, oh my aching back,
Taking my cat naps with my two cats.

Didn’t get much sleep last night, a simple fact…
So, I thought I would stretch out the kinks in my back.
Took some time to pray,
And read my scriptures for the day.

What do we have in store for today, Dear Lord?
Life with it’s ins and outs, there is no doubt.
That when you get older,
We tend to lean a little more on God’s shoulder.

Life has its rhythm with each new heart beat...
We were born yesterday in our birthday suits, cheek to cheek.
We can find humor in our own little lives,
Which ends up at our age as “A Rhyme In Time”

My Son Moon and Star

            My Son Moon and Star ~

        Approaching the celebration of his Birth 
                cherishing the gift I received 
           within weeks of conception I knew
            something amazing was in Creation ~

            the Stars held a party
            sending me with one of their own  
    Gazing at 3 shooting stars twinkling crossing the sky   
       It was magic  It was destiny taking its flight.  

           In love with an October full moon 
               drawing and painting I liked 
             thinking of Vincent Van Gogh ~
                caught in a loss of time 

          Hours going by as choosing my color  
           a wittness to three falling stars 
             A clear night sky sparkle's
           A once Famous Star was sent 
            inspiring the tiny child inside ~ 

           Never a doubt in my mind at all     
       child bearing was worth any pain received
      yours will be in a pursuit of a dream ~
             one to cherish and hold
          My Son was born the following August ~

    working on the set of Grimm 3rd season this year  
         as the set of Leverage for 3 years .

              Has done a Indie movie here  
             In Paris it was seen and honored
             coming soon filmed in Portland ~
                 "The House of Last Things "

        awaiting the credits , you will see
    1st Assistant Director ~ production assistant 
                 My Young Lion Mans dream ~
        A proud mom I watch every show and the credits 

        as foretold in a whisper to me 25 years ago
              My Son &  Moon and Star  
               A name you will all know ~

The Kyrielle Sonnet is a French form from the Middle Ages. It has 14 lines (three 
rhyming quatrains and a non-rhyming couplet). It has a repeating line or phrase 
as a refrain in the last line of each stanza.  Each line within the Kyrielle Sonnet 
has eight syllables.  There are times when a French poem links back to the

Happy Birthday

Each day marks an earthly rotation full; The ascending sun warms, and setting cools. This day is pinnacle, hence above all; Our star’s broadening smile turns to you. Life beacons thy pleasure for things as such: The love-sick bird and sweet whispering gale. To exist is chance—yearns cherishing much; For it is rare a human knows its luck. Seize this day with vigour—it is quite yours, (‘Though the seizing of days ought be common). Search for the willing, you’ll find them in scores— The persons willing: rejoice by side you. My Birthday

My Birthday is coming soon. Everybody is getting ready to celebrate. Last year they had a party too. They said it was in my honor, but they forgot to send me an invitation. I went anyway. I went in very quietly, so as not to disturb anyone. They had beautiful decorations and lots of food to eat. They also had lots of liquor to drink. I stood silent in a corner. I saw everybody eating, drinking and having fun. I thought that they would offer me some, but they didn't even notice me at all. Soon a fat man dressed in red came in, yelling - HO, HO, HO. All the children ran to him. They all carried on, like if he was the most important of all. Midnight came and everybody kissed and hug eachother. I too opened my arms to see if they would hug me too, but no one did. They all exchanged gifts. I left, I felt like they had shut the door in my face. This year I'm going to have a party. The biggest party of all. I am inviting all of you. I hope that you will come. If you decide to come - I will write your name with Gold Letters in my guest book. You have been invited. It is now up to you if you want to come. I will be waiting with Opened arms. Your friend JESUS...

Linda a poem for my best friend who died two years ago


I remember the first time we met you came round for a coffee. 
I remember it well, we sat talking for hours, just you and me.
Over the next few years, We must have drunk hundreds of cups.
Life was a roll of downs, Then ups. 
I remember the first time I met your Mum. All dressed in pale blue.
I think she was going to some special do.

I remember Jills first birthday party, even the  dress she wore.
The house was full of friends and family and more.
Val and Grandma, Carol and Jane all of their familys as well.
The house was packed, certainly a tale to tell.
The Bell Inn at Ingolmells where we all went for a drink.
Then round to our caravan, coffees to sink.

I remember Claire as a child, the hours she used to spend at our home.
Every Monday on the way to Slimming World she got credit for her phone.
I remember all the things she used to help me with. shopping, baking, 
washing the dishes the cups and the plates.
All this before she was even eight.
I remember so many things that we used to do. The bonfire parties at your 
All the same crowd their having the time of their lives.

Then the big bash for my big Five O.
I wanted a really big show.
So we prepared all the food at your house, Then carried it all over to mine.
Only just got it all ready in time.
I did the cake it was a huge chocolate train.
Something big enough to get all the candles on was my aim.

Life throws some really awful things at you.
Some so bad you  just don’t know what to do.
Our friendship spanned almost  thirty years
A lot of fun a lot of tears.
When the police came round to our house that night, I didn’t even realize you 
had gone.
I thought you were just ill again, I found out almost a week later on

Especially as we had only been chatting a couple or so weeks before, About 
the past.
On that day you looked so well with all your make up on, I thought you were 
on the mend at last.
On your birthday in May I thought of you, 
All the things we had been through,          Rest in peace. Love  Pat

no matter how fast I walk

your footsteps are bigger than mine
but they were warm 
and safe to step in

Things seems to be very clear,
When actually felt it is unclear,
What really seems to be clear,
May never ever be clear for ever.

Your help for others,
May be to be appreciated,
Or taken as what is called,
to be uncounted.

My question is clear,
Why the help for others,
Is sometime never appreciated,
However it is always delivered. 

In response to ethics,
lingers in my mind the answer,
To help others is not to be recognised, 
But it is to be called someone, 
Who can be respected.

To all, continue to help,
Not to to be appreciated by others,
But to be respected by yourself.

   Who's that staring through my window walls, with eyes as old as time
the clock has not yet moved and the wind outside has died
no breath for me to find nor the strength to check the time
unless the minute hand is lying theirs a chance i may have died
I wish this all a dream but the eyes i see dont lie, they have told me with their watching that all men do really cry
yet in vain is all my wishing but perhaps this is delusion of a sedimentary man with his mind ripe for losing 
Come at me then red devil, I shout within my mind yet the tension I had hoped for was delayed and rather dry
no ravishingly velvet flame encircled this such room, nor were the furniture and ottoman  thrown like an old shoe
marvelous the time in which a demon throwns your home and his only one intent is to stare right through your soul
 to that i bid goodnight to you, to do as you wish, regardless of the manner I am nothing more then fish. to be shot out of a barrel for a fellow such as this
If you do deem it fit that I wake another morning all i ask is that the clocks all please return to working order

Happy Birthday Jesus

Long ago, one Christmas morn, in a stable a child was born
Innocent, helpless and small
How could we believe He’d someday die to save us all?
On His mother He depended for his every need
How then could we imagine it would be by His blood alone that we’d be freed?
Growing up in a time and place so different from Heaven above
Living and dying here on Earth, what a symbol of His love.

To the cross He lovingly went
Knowing it was for our sins alone that He had been sent
Dragging His cross up to that hill where men were condemned to die
Jesus, our Savior suffered the fate while we were all passed by.

“King of the Jews,” that’s what the sign had read.
Hanging just above His thorn crowned head.
Blood spilled from nail driven hands and feet
As Christ suffered a death most bitter and sweet.

The pain and agony He lovingly endured
To give us the gift of salvation, most blessedly assured.
He never counted the cost of a price that was oh so high
Giving up His last breath so we may never have to die.

Today He walks amongst us, having conquered the grave.
Loving, hoping and waiting for us to accept the gift that He gave
When on that day so long ago He died in our place
Proving the power of God’s most amazing grace.

So this Christmas morning before you race for the tree
Take a moment to thank God for Jesus, for the gift of life eternally.
But don’t stop there, unwrap that gift of salvation today
What better way is there to tell Jesus………Happy Birthday?!

I hope

I'm 51 today.
51 tomorrow, yay
Was 51 yesterday.
52 is months away,
And yes I'm thankful.
Although it's not my real birthday,
It kinda is in a certain way.
I'm still alive another day.
I had the notion to celebrate.
And be thankful.
Though it's not a holiday. 
Thanksgiving has come and gone away,
I'm just alive today.
For that I'm thankful.
Honestly, I am not just trying to make these lines rhyme,
Or reflect upon the deep sublime.
I'm just grateful today to be alive.
I mean really thankful.
I'm not trying to wow you with philosophy,
Or impress you with theology.
It matters not at all to me.
I just feel thankful.
So tonight I take a walk outside,
I look up into the endless sky and then I breathe.
I breathe in deep,
And I say thank you.
And maybe not just to Who you think, 
Man let's throw in the kitchen sink,
And include all who've touched my life, to whom I'm thankful.
Some of you I'm glad you're gone,
Frankly you stayed a bit too long
And some you the grave stole far too soon,
And yet I'm still thankful.
Today the living and the dead
You've both been right up inside my head, 
And synergized this verbal thread.
For that I'm thankful.
I close my eyes and think of Tim, named David right there toward the end. 
I always smile when I think of him,
And now I listen
I heard a siren going by,
I wonder who and wonder why,
Was it a wreck, did someone die?
Yet still I listen.
Neighbors dogs are going wild.
Was that the laughter of a child.
Seems like I can hear for miles.
Still I listen.
I hear the hi-way roar of cars.
Tho I have never heard the stars
Is there really life on Mars?
Shhh brain please shut up and listen!
The soft night whispers in my ears.
Pressing through my random fears,
I stand amazed at what I hear.
And now I wonder.
I open up my eyes and see as I feel this winter breeze
The silhouette of leafless trees.
I stand in wonder
Then I wonder about the first man to ever be,
Or the first time he looked up to see
The Milky Way the galaxies.
Did he wonder?
I wonder what he did
How he loved how he lived.
If he ever lost a friend?
Man oh man I wonder.
Was he the first to dig a grave?
How it sounded if he prayed?
How he fought?
How he played?
If that man could see us all today,
What would he say I wonder?
In ways was he a lot like me?
Did he sometimes fear what he could not see?
Did he create unseen walls 
Of unbelief?
I stand and wonder.
Did he ever hurt the ones he loved?
Did life convince him not to trust?
I wonder.
My great grandfather lived
My DNA is shared with him.
I wonder how we are the same,
And I don't even know his name.
Still I wonder.
Will my great grand kids know my name?
Will it even matter who's to say?
Will they look up in wonder?
Will they listen?
Will they be thankful?
Not much I can leave to them
That would matter too much in the end.
I suppose the primal hope in man
Is the hope I hope lives on in them
I hope they wonder. About the universe.
I hope they listen. To life's unspoken verse.
I hope they're thankful. Even in midst of deepest hurts. 
I hope they're thankful.
I hope they listen.
I hope they wonder.
And no matter what life hands them,
I hope they hope.

When I looked at you last week trying on your new boots
Those almond eyes sparkling at something new, a gift
I saw my little pink girl, a princess, playing dress up again
Your long hair draped your high cheekbones
Life still a game, tinged with drama and theatre 
As you look for fun in all your pursuits!
A player in life with a passion for cooking and music
You have become a kind, loyal, vivacious young woman
Self assured, grounded with a love of tradition
I looked at you and felt an overwhelming pride.

Sunday’s child is ' bonny, blithe, good and gay' they say
Befitting my Sabbath girl, a model child of few demands
Your bedroom a vast sea of Barbie and friends
A Passion for story-time and books
Your Dutch life with Irish sea-touched roots, 
You are a real continental
A great scholar with degrees in Law and Psychoanalysis
You have found your true love with Luis, a Spaniard
As you both prepare to leave the Emerald Isle
I wonder at the achievement of you!

Another Birthday…I’m still alive
Never thought that I’d survive
To the ripe old age of Eighty Five!
But here I am…feisty still
Even though I’m over the hill!
Don’t count me out...Don’t ring that bell
I’m still here and raising hell!

Had a few blimps along the way
But I’m not leaving, I’m here to stay
Still have plans…I’m not done yet
I may do things I may regret
But I’ll have fun doing it
You can bet!

It matters not how old  you are
You can dream your dream
Or follow your star
Your flesh may fail you
Your steps may be slow
More and more wrinkles start to show
But there is one thing I surely know

A  man isn’t judged by how he looked
Or the size of his fortune or pocketbook
The greatest legacy he leaves behind
Isn’t intelligence or a fertile mind
But the love he gave to his family and friends
A heart full of love always transcends
Fame and fortune in the end 

So Happy Birthday again to me
How many more…..?
We’ll just have to see
In the meantime friends
You’ll be hearing from me!

Before we were thought of or time had started, 
God put US in His Son’s name.. 
And each time we pray, you'll see its true, 
You can't spell Jesus without including US.  
Were a pretty big part of His wonderful name, 
For US, He was born; 
And His great love for US is the reason He died. 
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand 
He rose from the dead, with US in His plan? 
The stones split away, the gold trumpet blew, egospelexpress
And His resurrection was for US.  
As JesUS left the earth with His wonderful ascension, 
When He felt there was one thing He just had to mention. 
"Go into the world and tell them it's true 
that I love them all - Just like I love you." 
So many people are Christian brothers and sisters, 
Don't all the others have a right to know JesUS too? 
It all depends on what we do, 
He'd like them all to know, 
But it all starts with US.

The Etheree poem was created about twenty years ago by an Arkansas poet named Etheree 
Taylor Armstrong. The poem consists of ten lines of unmetered verse. The lines may also be 
rhymed or unrhymed depending on the style of the author. The first line of the poem has 
only one syllable. Thereafter, each succeeding line adds another syllable. There is a total 
syllable count of fifty-five in the poem. The Etheree poem is similar to a Nonet poem with the 
exception of the 10th line and syllable count. The Nonet only has 45 syllables, which is 16 
shorter than the Etheree poem. One may get creative and write an Etheree with more than 
one verse. This may take the form of a Double Etheree: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, then 10, 
9, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1; that is the style in which this poem is written.

I wish I could tell you that 
On the eve you are born;
The needles  are just everywhere,
And they would prick you hard.

I see you are fading, 
Looming motionless in a pool, Parting water 
And hacking your way through 'watery desert'.

I see your tears beaming like beadles --
Droplets of which, soaked in bloody love.

You care just a fig at times,
Give a damn to what people call -- institution;
Anxious at times, fearing of 'ground lost', in home and abroad.

Who then, instilled a germ into the seedbed
And you nourish it in perfect serenity?
You will feed it and let it grow,
Because, the pigmy cells come with a burst of life.

This is how you were born sometime,
Giving your ship a direction;
I wish I could see that joy in your parents' face. 

Yet in every cyclic year, you come round and round 
To remember that Day;

The were the three Magi with mantels and beards, traveling
on strong camels as far as Bethlehem and having 
seen a wondrous star, they began their long journey 
by bringing precious gifts, but they warned Joseph and Mary 
of Herod's malicious they fled to Egypt
on a donkey that never complain of a sore hip! 

They believed in the Savior as Herod himself full of pride,
and being very wise, they never returned
to tell him what kind of child they had found! 
They brought their gifts and knelt at a child
whose fate as foretold was to die for us all,
and he gladly accepted them hearing His Father's call!

Not having heard from the Wise Men who had lied to Him, 
Herod sent his soldiers to kill all children under three: screams terrorized Bethlehem;
no, they weren't moved by their mother's painful cry
and shedding their innocent blood they revenged that lie!
O mothers of Bethlehem, Jesus knew that they were slaughtered because of Him!
O mothers of Bethlehem, you wept and moaned as they bled as a sacrificial lamb!

They believed in the Savior from what they had read,
and wanted to see for themselves the glorious event that Daniel spoken of:
the brightest star shining over Bethlehem as angels sang, 
announcing Christ's birth in a small town groping on a hill of citrus and clove!

Jesus' Birthday

I think about my life and what I've become.
Why don't I have a wife and why I'm still on the run.
I think if I'd done better, things would be easy for me.
Life just can't be this hard. Why are my goals so hard to see?
How do I become a movie star? How do I live in fame?
Maybe if I was famous, my life wouldn't seem lame.
Scrounging up some change for some milk at the store.
Lawn furniture in the living room, my room's bare without a door.
Christmas time is coming, I can't afford to buy gifts.
Blankets all around me as the cold weather shifts.
No ride to the store, just my own two feet.
I hear laughing all around me with every person I meet.
The only way to survive or to get things for me,
is to take without permission or hope for your sympathy...
This isn't my life,but I know this to be true.
We need to be kinder to those around, a lot less fortunate then you.
Jesus says, as much as you've done to one of these, you've done unto me.
Remember that, when others need your help, and you pretend not to see.
Christmas is coming, but you need to think of it this way.
It's not just a day of candy and gifts, it's Jesus' birthday.
Remember what all he did for us, and how he payed the ultimate price.
Maybe the next time you come across these people, you'll remember to be nice.
Jesus Christ, for you, I'll try harder each day.
It's the way I can give you a present on your wonderful birthday!!!

There is nothing sweeter than the smell of a red, red, red rose Or someone having a dear to compose life spent wondering and gathering thoughts of precious moments that will last forever in the mind A birthday is a special time that we remember, and is sweet as the red, red, red rose.

           A child of God
And made in His own image

A Spirit to make you whole
Are we expected to call this

Jesus is the Reason for the Season

                    Christmas comes but once a year
                    a blessed celebration we all hold so dear
                    of the birth of our Lord Jesus
                    who is the reason for the season
                    we celebrate in many ways
                    each in our own way
                    by giving gifts to family and friends we love
                    with open hearts we share
                    it’s the season to express and show your happiness
                    singing songs of peace, love and joy
                    sleigh bells ring and children sing
                    the wonderful Christmas songs of the season
                    as angles fly through the air
                    Christmas trees with lights all aglow
                    homes decorated all in a row
                    waiting for Santa Claus to show
                    Christmas is all about love an fun
                    from special candies to food and such
                    all the goodies we love to eat so very much 
                    to share our love for the one
                    who was born this day
                    to bring about peace and harmony 
                    for all of history
                    our lord Jesus in Heaven up above

God bless you little angel,
May He bless the day you were born.
For when you entered into this world;
Even the heavens were adorned.

The Angels were awaiting,
The moment of your birth.
They were the ones who escorted you,
On your journey from Heaven to Earth.

And now that you are here,
They are watching over you.
And everything that you encounter,
They are there to bring you through.

Each night before you go to bed;
Just say a little prayer.
And know that God loves you,
And He sent His Angels to care.

So seek Him in the morning,
At noon and midnight too.
Because He loves you so very much;
Tha He is celebrating your birthday with you.

                                              Through this maze of living
                                               you are a voice affirming
                                       reason and calling me back to center.
                                                 In our heart’s  journeys
                                      you have helped me lay dreams to rest,
                                             brought me back from the edge,
                                              or laughed ourselves to tears
                                                       at life and its quirks.
                                        Through our children’s growing pains,
                                                         and exquisite joy,
                                                you stand with steadfast love.
                                                       When I think of this
                                         extraordinary journey we’re blessed with
                            I cannot imagine doing it without your integrity and laughter....
                                                             my abiding friend.
                                                          I am forever grateful
                                       that you share your friendship with me.
                                                      It could take lifetimes to say
                                                                    thank you
                                              for the grace and spiritual elegance you offer.                                        
                                                       You are this canary diamond
                                       shedding warmth and light through so many facets.....

Midnight at Blackfriars

Midnight at Blackfriars 
The city spires are hidden, 
It’s getting colder fast, 
It feels as though we might have 
Some snow this month at last. 
The wind sweeps keenly through St. Giles(1) 
The hour is getting late. 
Fleeting forms across the scene, 
Are making for the gate. 
December is upon us, 
The year is wearing thin, 
Parishioners from town and gown 
Now are gathering in.  
Rosy cheeks are shining, 
There’s a spirit of good will, 
We’re coming in for Midnight Mass 
The Christmas Eve Vigil. 
Forgotten is the riot  
Of Saint Scholastic’s Day,(2) 
To celebrate the Savior’s birth, 
We worship now and pray. 
Conjoining with the acolytes 
Dressed in cassock’s white, 
We’re caroling together, 
Upon the holy night. 
A gallant in best evening wear, 
Bow tie and cummerbund, 
And a high-heeled damsel on his arm, 
Is down from Summertown. 
A staff nurse from the Radcliffe,(3)  
Whose shift was at an end, 
Was seated close beside them 
Clutching at her friend. 
There the widow all in black, 
Who cleans the votive stands, 
Holds her missal open 
With stubby fingered hands. 
She blends with the congregants, 
Ignoring the celebs,  
And is back up for the service 
From somewhere in St. Ebbs.(4) 
A student in thick sweaters 
And ragged scarf of grey 
Is seated on the furthest aisle 
Hair all in disarray. 
Across the nave the prayer chairs, 
Range back in their rows, 
Filling up with congregants 
In coats and gloves and throws. 
In from the rear the friars process 
With candles all aglow, 
Up the side aisle to the chancel, 
Caroling as they go. 
Above their heads upon the walls 
Are stations of the cross, 
Reminders set in stark relief 
Of this night’s final cost. 
We see the prior in chasuble 
For the apse proceeding, 
To celebrate communion 
And give the sacred reading. 
The greatest story ever told 
Unfolds with familiar ring 
Filling our hearts with the promise 
Of Christ the new born king. 
Then with the service over, 
We make for the hall below, 
Where cocoa and mince pies and sherry 
Are served before we go.  
Outside the snow is dusting  
The chained bikes in the Fair, 
Contented now we homeward fade 
Through the Christmas air.
